While visiting Buffalo recently we decided to stop in at Prosper. It was a Saturday night and we didn't feel like heading to the downtown area so we stopped in at Canal side. This place wasn't super busy but had quite a few locals inside. Upon entering we were greeted quickly by the friendly bartender. We decided to get a couple of flights to sample many different beers. We were not disappointed. We ended up with a flight of dark and a flight of lighter beer to try. As far as my personal preference there were only 2 I wasn't a huge fan of. With that being said the Steampunk Cider was phenomenal!! I'm not typically a cider drinker but this was so crisp and refreshing, not to mention it was one of their highest alcohol content. Upon finishing the flights I had to get an entire glass of the Steampunk Cider. It was that delicious. This place has a very laid back atmosphere with plenty of seating, clean bathrooms, and friendly people. I will definitely stop in next time I'm in Buffalo.

Sometimes last minute decisions can be a good thing. I've been curious about this hole in the wall place for ages, and while none of us drink, seeing pizza on the menu where it's literally a dollar an inch made us walk through the door. We took the last of the tables before the Friday night rush poured in. It ended up loud and crowded, and I felt the excitement building, all too reminiscent of going to a concert and being the sober one. But like heading to a show, the main act was entirely worth it. We ordered a white pizza, which boasts four types of cheese: ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan and provolone. The flavors mingled well on a homemade crust that balanced the line of doughy and firm enough. I nearly fell off my stool with the rush of pleasure striking my taste buds. It comes adorned with sliced tomato and caramelized onion. There are two places specializing in pizza hardly a block away, and yet I'd recommend ordering a pie for takeout from these hard working gents. It took a while to pay, which I chalk up to the surge of customers (obviously I must be the last person in town to try this place, unless you, oh swayable reader have not yet had the chance), but if I'm popping in to buy good food at good prices, then it's worth it. We also got a basket of fries, which holy moly, were the kind that keep the skins and have salt without being salty, the kind that have us making sure the basket is empty even if we are far past full. If you're not drinking, your only option is to ask for water. Honestly though, for a brewery, this short menu makes it worth it even for those of us who stay away from alcohol. The name Prosper definitely has earned its right.

My friend and I stopped in this modern, smaller brewery located in the heart of Tonawanda. We arrived near closing time, covid precautions were followed markings for social distancing, and plastic dividers to separate patrons. The brewery was quaint offering decent selection of beers, wine and one cider. The decor fit perfect for the place, beer and my friends cider were amazing. The kitchen sold lite bites, and even their own merchandise. I'm a light lager drinker, so my selection was their number one selection: Summer Saison( light, crispy, refreshing with tints of fruit , finished with pepper. If your looking to just unwind at a chill place watch a game, or enjoy a low key evening this is the place to check out.

Delicious beers and delicious wings. Friendly bartenders too. And the music is great. Fun atmosphere. I'll be back.

Great logo with the awesome subway tiles.

Decent brewery in a quiet part of town. If you're in the area stop by but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. The beers were okay and hit the spot but nothing to write home about. However, I would put this at 3.5 stars than 3. Better than average.

This was the first time we tried their beers and it was at a whole new level, AWESOME!! I could not find much information regarding the current situation on the website, but I called them, and the gentleman answered all my questions patiently and highly detailed. Info here on Yelp is pretty accurate. My housemate went for the pick-up and he was very pleased that they keep everything clean and follow safety precautions. We had growlers of Begian Dubble and Winter Weisenbock both of which were delicious, smooth, and with nice buzz. This beer just made its way to our home cheers,

They are making the new mandate that came out yesterday work. Chairs were already 6' apart. Now there is some outdoor seating, and their menu, which has always been good, has an added daily special. Today was Chicken Pesto Panini. Perfection paired with the "Walking on the Beaches" Sour Peach Saison (which they created with Buffalo Beer Geeks). Nice dinner out.

Fun place! Great chill spot for great beer, good service, good music. We enjoyed the IPA's, Irish Red Ale, a flight with a saison and a stout. Very impressed with the beers. Cool place.

In town to see the falls and driving around the area we stumbled upon this gem. it was a bit of a damp chilly day and the atmosphere when we walked in was warm and welcoming, food was perfect comfort food at really reasonable prices and a nice assortment of great beer that is brewed right there. Highly recommend and don't miss the stuffed pickle!

Stopped in after dinner down the street. So glad we did. Only stayed for a flight, sat the bar. Small space but it wasn't crowded so that was a plus! My beer flight was great! The service, fast and friendly. Definitely a place I'd like to revisit!

This has to be, hands down, the best pub in Tonawanda. Not only is the staff friendly and knowledgeable, but the food is fresh and flavorful, the beers varying and delicious, and the atmosphere clean and inviting. The flights of beer are only $8 for four and there are 12 beer from which to choose. The Munich was my favorite as it had a soft chocolate undertone. I also quite enjoyed the Steampunk and the Raspberry. Their hand-cut fries are amazing and the gluten-free pizza my friend ordered tasted amazingly glutinous! LOL Located directly across from the Riviera theatre, this is the perfect spot for a pre-show drink and snack.

I was surprised to see I haven't written a review but I always have a good experience here! For my mom's birthday, she wanted to grab a beer flight and dinner at Live Edge Brewing. We arrived on a Saturday around 4:45pm and took a parking spot close to the entrance. They have a good-size parking lot so no concerns about finding a space. We walked in and saw the "wait to be seated" sign and soon afterward, a young woman came over and asked how many in our party and where we'd like to sit. The three of us decided to sit on their back patio. We picked a table and our waitress soon followed with drink/food menus. All of the tables outside had umbrellas to help shield from the sun, which on this Saturday was out but the temperature was perfect and there was a slight breeze to cool it down a little. The one oddity we had was that our drink menus didn't match as my menu had more taps listed compared to the others I was sitting with, so I ended up getting a drink in my flight they never saw. I slight hiccup but honestly, you can't be too upset with a drink in your hand! Our waitress was young and incredibly personable, friendly, accommodating, answering all our questions about the food and customizing our orders how we wanted them. We might have let it slip that it was my mom's birthday - Our waitress brought her a birthday cake shot to celebrate, which she loved! Our waitress let us take our time sampling our beer flights before placing our food orders. The wait time for our food was very reasonable, maybe 10-15 minutes, I can't remember as we were having too good a time chatting and sipping. For dinner, I ordered their Nashville Hot Chicken Sammy, which is a hand-breaded toaster-oven-baked chicken breast topped with provolone cheese, pickles, and their Nashville hot sauce between a brioche bun and served with a side of tater tots (a small upcharge from their default chips). The sandwich was delicious! Now, for you spice lovers, I didn't find this sandwich very spicy, it was more about the flavor, the tang of the sauce. I didn't mind it not being that spicy, the flavor was excellent! The pickles were thick and had a nice crisp to them and the provolone cheese paired so well with it all. The tater tots were fried perfectly with a crispier exterior but hot, pillowy-soft interior - For the small upcharge, ~$3.00, they were worth it. The portion sizes were perfect as I was perfectly full, I wasn't uncomfortable. The price of my meal was reasonable as well, especially seeing how everything's costing more in 2026. Live Edge Brewing is not only a family favorite but for me, it's a hidden gem. The friendly, laid back, yet still attentive service and country atmosphere have us continuing to come back each New Year's Eve, and now, this could become a new birthday tradition!

I decided maybe Virgil was close enough to try it, and oh my goodness - I understood at once why poutine is so popular. If you also hail from a poutine-less area of the world, fear not - done well, it's a great dish. The beer was also excellent. I can see why The Black Lager is Canada's most award-winning Schwarzbier. There are some really good schwarzebiers in my city, and Silversmith's is right up there with them. I also have a Nut Brown Ale, and a small size of the Motueka, both of which I would get again. They know what they are doing with their food and drink. And the atmosphere is really good as well. The old-church-turned-brewery is beautiful. I'll let the pictures in other reviews do it justice. The service was good. It was relatively busy the night I was there, but the service was still quick enough and even a bit conversational - I recall one of the bartenders worked at Silversmith in the warmer months, and travels southeast Asia in the colder months, which is pretty cool. I would likely be a regular if I lived in the area.
