My goodness, as someone who's from Arizona and wanted to get a taste of Buffalo I feel like I hit the jackpot. Not only did I get an amazing meal I was also met with the famous Buffalo hospitality from Pat. This is exactly the kind of place I would eat lunch at everyday if I worked downtown. I walked in close to when they opened and the owner was there to welcome me in. He was a really nice guy and told me what his best menu items were. I had heard good things about the steak sandwich and hadn't had one in a while. I opted to get that with some fries. The fries were the best fries I've had. They taste like the ones from McDonald's only better because they aren't doused in salt. The sandwich was perfect. The steak was cooked exactly like it should be and the flavor was incredible. The peppers and onions on top added even more flavor but didn't overpower it. I don't think I've eaten anything faster in recent memory. No take out boxes needed here. The meal is too good not to eat right then. The bar also had a great vibe to it. I'm a big fan of old school style bars and establishments like this. The traditional architecture and nostalgic feeling is perfect here. It's not modernized like every other new bar built in the last decade. It's got character, a great menu, and excellent service. Went for lunch twice in the last two weeks and both times what I had was delicious! First, it was the steak sandwich which was a bit different than anywhere else I've tried it before, but really satisfying and this week, it was the meatloaf special which came with mashed potatoes and gravy and corn. Stopped by Eddie Brady's Tavern for the first time, and it was a great experience! The food was fantastic. I tried the classic Beef on Weck and the Reuben, and both were incredible. The beef on weck was tender and juicy, paired perfectly with the salty kummelweck roll, while the Reuben was packed with flavorful corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, and melted Swiss, all on perfectly grilled rye. You can tell they take pride in their sandwiches. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a bar, casual and no-frills. But it's a great spot for lunch if you're looking for a quieter, less rowdy crowd during the day. Service was friendly too! This has been on my bucket list to go to and I regret ever going. The customer service is atrocious and they clearly do not care. I went for a work lunch and the bartender sprayed beer all over my clothing and belongings from the draft system. A mistake? Absolutely. What happened from there? Absolutely nothing. Zero apology, zero help to clean up, I went to the bar and grabbed the last remaining paper towel, zero offer to get more. When I dine out, I expect some level of customer service. Big s/o to Buffalo's Yelp community in recommending this place. It gave me a chance to try a couple Buffalo staples, with one I knew about (wings) and the other new to me (beef on weck). I can't say the wings were beyond anything I've had before, but they were textbook in size and the right crispiness. The Weck was a nice bun for sure, but that beef was something else. I split it with my dad and it was so perfectly cooked and a delicious cut of beef. My son had the lobster mac and cheese. He's had a few before but said this was the best he's ever had, so there's that. I need to come back again and the Reuben looks to die for. read more

Great neighborhood pub in the heart of downtown Buffalo. We really enjoyed our roast beef sandwiches. They were tender and served on a soft Kimmelweck roll with a choice of French fries, onion rings or pasta salad (With no up charges). We really appreciated having the pasta salad choice as to not have something fried. The onion rings were lightly tossed with batter and tasted great. The French fries were of the shoe string variety and served crisp. They had a limited selection of draft beer the evening we went, but had several bottles to choose from too. We really enjoyed the bar room popcorn too. There is a brighter dining room that is separated from the bar area in the back . There is only street parking or a paid parking lot. We both had the Beef on Weck. Service was by the bartender who worked ten tables with efficiency and a gruff Irish friendliness. The beef was properly done and tasty, but not completely hot. The au jus unfortunately overly soaked the bottom side of the properly seeded kimmelweck roll. (Should have been served on the side.) Our Buffalo sandwich was served with hot shoestring fries, a fat dill pickle and a stingy sampling of good enough horseradish. The beer was nice and cold from a wide selection of drafts and bottles in a bar that was super clean and located just a block or two from the theater district. Four stars, but not five. read more

I came here alone one night while looking for a homey place to have some Buffalo wings and a drink. This place had great reviews and seemed like they would make some great food, so I stopped in. It was pretty empty when I walked in on a weeknight, just one other table seated in the place. The bartender was friendly, but minded his own business for the most part as it was quite empty. I got the Beef on Weck and the Buffalo wings. I have got to say, the Buffalo wings were some of the best I tried in Buffalo! Have this place marked for a while, hoping to get some good Irish grub. I will say it is more traditional bar food than Irish food. I ended up getting the beer batter fish fry which was huge and came with a generous portion of fries, coleslaw and macaroni salad. Eddie Brady's is my jam. I haven't been here for a couple years, and when I entered, I immediately felt like I was home. This is a warm and inviting tavern. There is a popcorn machine, and ample space to sit and relax. The table in the corner by the popcorn machine is right by a heating vent, so it is the ideal table if you are freezing from the outside cold. The bartender/server was super friendly and gave me Cheers vibes. I went with the Reuben, sans sauerkraut, my cousin had the medium chicken fingers, and my boy had the steak sandwich. Their Reubens are absolutely delicious. The corned beef is so tender. So I really enjoyed my sandwich. My cousins liked her fingers and they looked good. Let's talk about my boyfriend's steak sandy. That looked like absolute heaven. It was an entire steak. He enjoyed it. I need to order that next time. I've never had a bad meal at Eddie Brady's and always enjoy visiting. read more

I've been wanting to go to Eddie Brady's for years. And my dream finally came true before a concert at the Town Ballroom on Friday. You'll be able to find street parking if you're patient. The bar is gorgeous, warm, inviting and nicely decorated for Christmas. A handful of beers on tap - solid variety. Tons of bottle options. Our bartender / server was incredible. Very fast and kind. We even got free chocolate toffee for dessert. I was genuinely shocked at how great the food was. A wonderful fish fry - nice crunchy exterior with a fluffy fish inside. Sides were bomb too - mac salad and coleslaw. Wings were also top notch. Had a nice kick to them. I didn't have the strength to take a pic before diving in. If you do nothing else in Buffalo, come here. Pat, the owner, is such a charm and worth the visit in and of himself. I live in Denver and we just don't have old school places like this.
