Love the authentic vibe of this Irish pub -- enhanced by the rich dark woods, from the tables to the cabinets housing ales and whiskeys. The staff were clearly experienced, which makes sense given this place is in Niagara Falls -- a city that, in peak season, is overrun by tourists. I'm sure their hands are full during those times, so we were lucky to visit in the off-season. The fish and chips were exactly what we were looking for -- a lighter batter with meaty, flaky fish inside. And yes, without question, they bring both types of vinegar: white and, more importantly, malt -- a must with proper fish and chips. We enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back. Saluti!

Had a good meal at Doc Magilligans inside of the Best Western. Started with the Reuben bites which I'd highly recommend. We had good service and the restaurant had a nice selection on the menu. They also have ample tables!

Very cool interior and relaxing ambience of Irish pub, servers were nice and friendly, drink and food were really tasty! The prime rib dinner is an unbeatable bargain and absolutely mouthwatering. A must-try if you're staying at Best Western.

Delicious food and really great service! Everyone was so friendly! We ordered: Mac and cheese Fish and chips New York steak

Steak & Mushroom Boxty!

About a month old.... Great Irish food...yes that is correct! Daughter had the Irish sampler which was chicken pot pie, Shepard's Pie and steak and mushroom pie. All three were seasoned nicely and were were very good. Wife had a steak & mushroom Boxty! It was next level good better than the Boxty we had in Dublin... I had a wedge salad which was very good! Best part was the Kilkenny Red on tap!!! We were also there on Rock n Roll trivia night, great crowd with lots of prizes for all contestants. A locals place away from the touristy crowds of Niagara Falls and worth the cab ride from Embassy Suites! Nice server

Taste of Ireland: Chicken curry(left), steak & mushroom pie(middle) and shepard's Pie(right)

Stopped by Doc Magilligans for dinner right before visiting Niagara Falls and it was an excellent choice. I ordered the fish and chips and the Taste of Ireland and they were both delicious. The fish from the fish and chips was lightly battered, flaky, and juicy. You get a choice of one or two fish and the portion for one was super filling already. The chips had been upgraded to a poutine. The gravy had a strong aroma and deep flavors which complimented really well with the chips and cheese curds. Hands down the best poutine I had ever had in Canada. The chips were crispy and not even a bit soggy. If you are the type that likes to try multiple things, the Taste of Ireland is for you. It's basically a sampler where you get to pick three items out of the five choices. I decided on the shepherd's Pie, chicken curry, and the steak and mushroom pie. All three were so rich and flavorful. The Irish soda bread and the puff pastry was a nice touch to balance out the heavy dish. If I ever visit Niagara falls again, I would definitely make a visit to Doc Magilligan's Restaurant & Irish Pub.

Grilled salmon: everything was salty. Veggies were good.

The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and the decor was awesome. It was old school and welcoming. Why the 3 stars then? The food. We got the shepherds pie and the grilled salmon. Everything was salty. My mashed potatoes and salmon were salty. The veggies were nice and buttery which was good. The shepherds pie had a seasoning that my friend didn't care for and it was also salty. It needed to go back but we didn't want to be those people. I would definitely return for drinks as it was a nice vibe. They have tvs and plenty of space. I would skip the food entirely. The hours on Yelp are inaccurate. I would check Google maps or give them a call.

Chicken curry boxty! Kind of like an Irish roti. Super filling and delicious!

This is a diamond in the rough! Attached to the Best Western but a great restaurant on it's own accord. Irish food that is appealing to all family members, including picky kids! A bit pricy but not unusual for tourist town. Definitely try the Irish perogy and the Sheppard's pie!

Great portions, food was good, bartender was very nice and welcoming. The shepherds pie my friend had was absolutely delicious he loved it! I had the Seafood pie and it was good but lacked scallops and fish but large portion of shrimp. It was very good! Would definitely go again!

First, the restaurant is beautiful. It has a very old world feel with beautiful wood and tin ceiling. The wall in the back dining room is full of book and nick-knacks and is just lovely. Chase was our waiter and he was friendly and provided good service. The food was outstanding. We ordered the Onion soup, Irish soda bread and pretzel bites to start. All three were very good. For our meals we had fish and chips, a curry boxty, a steak and mushroom boxty and the sampler with Shepherd's pie, steak and mushroom pie and chicken curry. We were all very pleased with our meals and they came out correct and tasted amazing. We would definitely visit again on another stay in Niagara Falls.

This restaurant has the most phenomenal view of Niagara falls! The view is fantastical because of…read morethe huge covered heated deck they have - directly across the street and facing the falls. From the outside it reminds me of Swiss Claet. Not that I've been to Switzerland, it's just what I'd always pictured you'd find there. The wait staff is very friendly and let me choose my table. The day had been a bit rainy and I was damp from the ride I'd just taken on the Maiden in the Mist (below the falls) so I was in need of something warm to eat to take the chill off my bones. I chose the broccoli cheese soup. While it wasn't bad, it was a bit watery and only came with Saltine crackers. For $7 (plus a 20% tax) it left something to be desired. I guess I am a little spoiled because the restaurant I used to work for purchased their broccoli cheddar soup from Sisco - who in my opinion - makes the best soups you will find. All that said, this restaurant is a place you need to visit. Even just for a glass of wine or beer. You won't find a better location to view the falls on the Canada side - not even from up in Skylon Tower.

There is one reason to eat here- the view. Burger and fries…read morewas good, just way way overpriced. 19$ starting point- with additions totaled $25. Not bad just not great at that price. Good beer selection. Menu is varied. So don't come with gourmet expectations, but if your hungry when you are hanging out at the falls... the view is spectacular.

Bartender girl does not seems to be interested in producing drinks, pretty slow to come back for additional drink. And the worst: every beer is being poured into your old glass, so while its cold on the first beer - by the third it gets warm and old. If you do come in - try the mango Kolsh.

It's not a bad place to go to sit down and relax and they offer a lunch buffet with spaghetti, chicken and salads. I came here to work a little bit and while the service was good, the food (in particular the burger was just A-OK). We started with an order of hot wings which were fairly delicious and the blue cheese that came with it was high quality. On the Buffalo Wing scale, I'd give em a 7/10, which is pretty good. They could have used more crisp, but the wings were saucy and large to be a contender for some more delicious ones. The burger really fell flat. The bun wasn't tasty and could have used some toasting. The meat had no discernible seasoning. The waitress didn't know whether it was cooked from frozen or not when I asked. Although I was asked how I wanted it cooked (med rare, please!), it came out medium well / well and didn't have too much flavor. I'd skip the burger, go for the wings and maybe try a few other things on the menu. All in all, it's an A-OK place to grab lunch if you're on a budget.
