We had a great time at Carpaccio on a double date--very nice Italian restaurant with a solid menu, good atmosphere, and great service. We all really enjoyed our meals and drinks. The Arancini appetizer was the star of the show--crispy, cheesy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. I had the Bacon-Wrapped Pork Tenderloin with veggies and mushroom gnocchi. The pork was perfectly cooked and super flavourful, with the bacon adding just the right salty touch. The veggies were great and the gnocchi was soft and pillowy, though a little on the bland side--but still enjoyable overall. My wife had the Ravioli Café au Lait--creamy, rich, and with a really nice hint of coffee that worked surprisingly well. Our friends liked their dishes too, especially the Chicken Parm and Gnocchi "Amelia." I really appreciated that they had Thornbury cider and beer on draught--a nice touch. Only downside: my buddy paid $9 for a bottle of Corona... which felt a bit ridiculous. Drinks in general were tasty but a bit overpriced. I normally don't write reviews. But after this I must... All was good when we arrived. We asked for a drink (Johnny walker) on the menu, came back and they were out. Asked for Macallan (on the menu) came back out of stock. Ordered a beer. When it arrived I asked for a beer glass, brought a water glass. Asked for a beer glass, and brought a bigger water glass. I wanted to love this place but it fell short of expectations. The veal was served raw, the owner seemed nice and said he was sorry and would have it remade but then we overheard him in the kitchen talking poorly about us. I understand thing happen and I wasn't upset until I witnessed the unprofessionalism. The dessert left more to be desired and the carpaccio was bland. This is a spacious spot far away from the craziness of commercialized Niagara Falls. We went at lunch and there were a few tables with people, but it was mostly empty and quiet. The ceilings were high and the inside stylish. Our server was really friendly. We ordered the carpaccio trio (has all three items in one), and the beet carpaccio was the best of the three, surprisingly. Lamb risotto was cooked well, but slightly on the salty side (but maybe it was the cheese on top). Eggplant parmagiana was ok, but the eggplant could be a bit softer or more cooked. read more

The atmosphere is awesome, very clean, etc The service is fantastic - Rick was our server and he is friendly and timely with knowing when to come to a table and when to not interrupt a conversation. Danny the manager is a HOOT!! Now, the food - this is where they lost us. We started with calamari - which they did beautifully to accommodate my dietary intolerances. I am GF and DF and they don't offer much without cheese (Italian restaurant I get it). However, my GFDF pizza was dry and tasteless (they didn't have much else available for me) and my husband's veal Parmesan was pounded so much that it was crepe-flat and sauceless. Polite and knowledgeable staff really helped to start our time off right. We ordered a pepperoni pizza for the kids, Spaghetti with spicy sausage for me and Linguine Amore for my wife. Flavors in each dish were distinct and yet complementary. It's hard these days to put out a spaghetti that is impressive but it was. I would travel to Niagara and visit this place again and again. We took the red line "we go " to easily get to this non touristy cute little Italian spot. Had to laugh as the locals were dressed quite nicely while we showed up in our Niagara daytime tourist look and were immediately escorted to the back room where we were seated amongst equally casually dressed tourists - this place knows what they are doing to still welcome tourists but also maintain the classy atmosphere of the place. Our group ordered chicken parm, a caprase salad and a few pizzas. All good. Service was good too. Took a family vacation to Niagara and was looking for someplace near but away from the falls. Carpaccio had good reviews so decided to give them a try. The food was excellent we had the fillet, linguine amore, and the caprese salid. The staff was prompt and helpful on questions about the menu. There is lots of space to enjoy an intimate meal or a large family dinner. We had just one evening in Niagara Falls and needed to select a really good Italian restaurant. Carpaccio fitted the bill perfectly. It was busy but the ambiance and noise level were both excellent. We had two superb dishes - calamari fritti and spaghetti pescara - and one outstanding dish: lamb risotto. We wondered how good a cabernet sauvignon from Niagara-on-the- Lake could be. Our waiter, Rick, assured that the AMO cabernet franc would work well, and he was right. The wine was excellent, and it complemented the meal. It was not the best start upon arrival given that the original server did not even acknowledge us being there until ten minutes after the fact and although we were all ready to order our drinks including the kids by the time she did arrive, she had taken only the kids drink order first. I had mentioned to her that we were ready as well but she said "oh I'll come back" and walked away so fast. The experience was not great as this is not the type of service I was expecting given that it was highly recommended by my colleagues. Upon her return to our table, we ordered our drinks (Peroni and Prada Martini) and at the same time requested in a friendly manner for crayons for the menu that was aimed at kids either writing or colouring on. Her response was snippy, rude and extremely condescending when she told us that "COVID protocol is in effect so I can't help you; I have rules to follow" Which I can understand no problem, but did she have to say it in such a poor manner? That's my whole issue. Her poor attitude was extremely unwarranted so I had gone and spoken with Joseph, the manager on duty at the time. I told my story and requested that I am assigned a different server, which he happily obliged. He had our bill transferred over to our new server Easton and I must say, she was such an attentive, friendly and just an overall breath of fresh air in comparison to the original server. She had even gone over and beyond to find our kids a couple of pens for their "drawing purposes" We ordered food that even the kids loved and enjoyed. I didn't take all the pictures, but trust me, al the food was delicious and amazing. Thank-you Joseph and Thank-you Easton. Because of you two, I will definitely be returning to dine and will only request to be served by you. Of course I'll make sure when making my reservation. The place was recommended by a local. So, our family of 7 went for dinner on a Wednesday night. Clean restaurant, bathrooms and excellent food with a peaceful ambiance. Started the night with hot fresh bread and an order of Calamari Fritti. The bread was very good and the Calamari was cooked perfectly and served with a sweet chili sauce. We ordered 3 Veal Parmigiana, 2 Spaghetti Pescara, 1 Linguine Amore "Amedeo", 1 Caesar Salad with Chicken and some Penne with Alfredo. Everything was cooked perfectly and served fresh and hot (except for the salad of course). The restrooms were clean which tells me the kitchen is clean. Service was wonderful (our server was Karlie). If you're in a hurry then you might want to try another place. As for us, we were all pleased with the timing and the pace of the meal. Above all, if you're in the area and want to get away from the tourist area (only 2 miles from the falls) and have a great Italian meal, go to Carpaccio. read more

After being at some wineries for the day we decided to get some Italian food and came across this restaurant through yelp. It wasn't busy when we went so the wait time was nothing. The food was so good, we had a pizza and pasta. The pizza was so good I can't even explain lol. The ingredients and presentation was really good. Also had the Penne Arrabbiata which was surprisingly spicy I didn't think it would be this spicy. I love spices anyway so I thought it was delicious. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars because of the service. Even if being empty we didn't receive proper service from the waiter. Otherwise the food here was very good.
