This is an honest 2 star bar (did not bother eating here). Beer is cold and cheap, ac is running, and you escape the scorching sun. Bartender girl does not seems to be interested in producing drinks, pretty slow to come back for additional drink. Legends is a huge restaurant inside of a hotel in Niagara Falls. They tout local ingredients and flavor (Costanzo Rolls, Sahlen's, etc) and have a well priced menu and a lot of Buffalo foods (wings, beef on weck, etc). It's not a bad place to go to sit down and relax and they offer a lunch buffet with spaghetti, chicken and salads. I came here to work a little bit and while the service was good, the food (in particular the burger was just A-OK). We started with an order of hot wings which were fairly delicious and the blue cheese that came with it was high quality. On the Buffalo Wing scale, I'd give em a 7/10, which is pretty good. They could have used more crisp, but the wings were saucy and large to be a contender for some more delicious ones. The burger really fell flat. The bun wasn't tasty and could have used some toasting. The meat had no discernible seasoning. The waitress didn't know whether it was cooked from frozen or not when I asked. Although I was asked how I wanted it cooked (med rare, please!), it came out medium well / well and didn't have too much flavor. A very nice black couple asked if they had any cognac. She said "are you from around here" they said no. Without hesitating she said "we don't serve that because people start shooting ." This place is really confusing. When you walk in the room, the bar is to the left and there's an Indian restaurant to the right. In the same room. Weird. No one greeted us or told us where to go, it was very awkward. We ended up waiting for space in the bar to open up because the dining room (folding tables?) didn't look like it had waitresses to get drinks. Hubby and I wanted to go here for lunch, since it wasn't a chain restaurant. Well, I wish I would've read the reviews before going! There were only two other tables occupied when we got there, so not busy at all. Our waitress seemed a little snippy, we had barely sat down to look at the menu before she asked us what we wanted. We told her that we'd like to look at the buffet first to see if we wanted that or something off the menu, that almost seemed to annoy her, but we had never been there, so we didn't know. We both ordered the pizza and wings combo. While we were waiting we noticed one waitress that was rolling silverware get very rude with a table of Asian tourists. They wanted to pay and were trying to ask her to do it, but she basically yelled at them that she "couldn't do it" that the other girl had to. I'm sure the language barrier didn't help, but she could've had a little more tact when dealing with customers. The other table (remember there were only two occupied) had issues as well. The guy had been waiting forever for his pizza, but apparently it hadn't been put in yet. We got our food and the wings looked so blah. The sauce was basically butter and had NO flavor at all. My pizza was luke warm at best, but hubby's was hot. He thinks they made our pizzas at the same time, realized that other guy hadn't gotten his and gave him my husband's, therefore they made another pizza for my husband, which was hot, while mine sat there waiting and got cold. The pizza was ok, but I had nasty charred bits on the bottom. I understand it's brick oven, but these were very large and gross. Now the restaurant itself...pretty gross. The floor had filth all over it, it looked like it hadn't been swept in a very long time. The windows were disgusting with hand prints inside and out. The place just looks like no one takes pride in it. We had one placemat on our table, another table had four and the rest had none. Would not recommend at all!!! We 4 went this restaurant because it was the nearest one to us that serves the buffalo wings. They were really slow! Slow in everything!!! After an elderly lady led us into the restaurant, all the staff seemed to disappear. No one took care of placing our order and no water served. We waited for about 30 minutes for our food. Ridiculously, they provided the check in time, without having us waited because they displayed the check to us before we finished our meal!!! This felt like that we would run away from the bill! Got there around 7:30 with 2 hungry kids after a long day of checking out the falls. We only went there because we were staying at the Quality Inn that it's in. They had an Italian buffet which we didn't want so we checked in at the host stand to see if we could order off the menu, which we could. It was a beautiful night so we asked if we could sit outside. No one was out there though which should have been our first clue of what was to come. The host said we could but we'd have to move the chairs to a table ourselves! WHAT?! But we did since we just wanted to sit down. He never brought us menus. We waited 5-10 minutes and finally hubby had to go inside to find someone. The host said he would send someone right out. Another 5 minutes later our waiter showed up - with no menus. He thought we had some already. (Can't fault him that it would make sense we had menus already). Food lowlights: quesadilla with raw onions in it. Ok but oniony. Menu said included jalapeño, sour cream, and salsa. Didn't come with any of them. I asked for sour cream and salsa - got the sour cream but was told they don't have salsa. Maybe the chopped tomato and more raw onion was what they consider salsa. Chicken tenders like leather. We asked a passing waitress for a fork and she basically ignored us. 5 minutes later when our waiter came back he brought us some. Our waiter was a sweet guy from Europe. One may never know what a post-apocalyptic world looks like, but I imagine it's something similar to Niagara, NY in March. The place is a ghost town, with gutted office complexes and shuttered souvenir shops blemishing what could have been a reasonably lucrative place beside Niagara Falls park. The only restaurants you can find within a walk are a TGIFridays (packed with every possible form of tourist) and Legends. Stepping into Legends, you're immediately hit with the acrid smell of cleaning detergent, old chlorine from the hotel pool, and cigarette smoke. The clientele around the bar look better suited for a truck stop. Expect to pay $9 for a salad of chopped iceberg lettuce and one slice of tomato, and more if you want any form of protein. This review is only for the bar, not the restaurant. I came in here one night with some friends and it was... OK. Perhaps it's because I'm getting old, but I found the volume of the music to be way too loud. The place was only at 1/4 capacity at best so in my opinion there was no need for the volume. After 2-hours at the bar I had to bow out of all conversions because I was loosing my voice and getting a headache. I had a couple of cocktails which were delicious but on the expensive side. I assume their prices are inflated because they are in the tourist area and attached to a hotel. While we were at the bar we were approached by a magician. I'm not much of a fan but my friend was excited to participate in his routine. No lie... I was impressed!! I couldn't figure out how he did any of his tricks and they were SUPER cool. Apparently he's a regular act there and it's worth going out for a drink and tolerating the noise just to see this guy. read more

I gave this place a 4 star the other day. Went back with a friend and I'm disappointed this time. You can tell the food wasn't being properly rotated and had been sitting out a while. The waitress approached us initially and got our drink orders but walked away in the middle of my bf trying to tell her to split the checks. Had to tell someone else to relay the message. She didn't come around to the table, had to track her down and ask for a drink refill and even then she was huddled around her 2 other coworkers texting and she seemed annoyed when I interrupted her for the drink order. Bar staff was amazing. Fran and Natalie very friendly and pleasant. Made a gal away from home feel like she was at home. Only downfall has nothing to do with the bar or their staff but the attached restaurant. After learning they are not associated with the bar at all questioned why they share the same space? Let me start this by stating that my expectations were very low when we entered this place, but I guess they weren't low enough. If I could give it zero stars, I would. We got there after lunch rush hour, it was extremely hot outside, we had walked for hours, and my six year old son was starving. We waited to be seated, and nothing happened. We seated ourselves, and nothing happened. The waitresses and waiters were walking around the place, looking anywhere but to the costumers. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we decided to leave, and everybody else that came around the same time as we did, left too. We ended up driving to a burger joint, on the way back to Pensylvannia, in the middle of nowhere, and we ate like kings. Bottom line, stay away from this place. Deciding that the smell might be an aberrant occurrence (fat guy with his own deli meat type situation), we decided to eat anyway. The waitress was rude and had her judge judy hat on.
