Hi Bill! After you see Niagara, go to the Craft! Its a short walk to great food and great local drafts. Found the Craft, walking by we ran into a local guy who told us this was a good spot. Popped in, grabbed seats at the bar and the gal working there was super helpful in recommendations. Ordered a couple Guinness' and ciders. The food was piping hot and delicious. Turns out the guy we met from out front happened to be the owner. Bill is a very cool dude! We came in from out of town and when we told him we were going to the TNF Bills game he invited us to hang out in the Bills neighborhood where it's just a giant tailgate party! Bartender- Justine was a great bartender, great attitude and good humor. This is a great local bar with good food and great atmosphere. I was first greeted by the owner Bill and he gave me a great northern welcome but calling me "South Carolina" a term of endearment. I had the steak and cheese with fries and a few beers, White Bronco. The beer was recommended by Justine and it was on the spot. I came here the night before the Toledo versus Buffalo game. The bartenders were very friendly, and immediately welcomed me at the bar. The place had a great selection of local beers, a very cool ambience and also had cold non alcoholic beer. I love the option to have both, which I did, and the burger with side of wings was amazing. The reviews don't lie here. This is a great spot. I think it'd be awesome to spend a full day watching the games with the bills mafia! Popped in here today to watch the Bills game and have a beer before dinner. You enter the establishment by walking up a few steps on Third Street. The place inside was very spacious...there's a long bar, dart machine, and lots of tables and lots of glass for a view outside. They have a small food menu that we will have to try another time. The draft beer menu was a good size with beers from lots of local breweries. The server was super friendly, providing quick beer samples, explaining where they are from and the different flavors, she was absolutely outstanding! We went with the Citizen Cider Dirty Mayor which had an excellent cider/ginger taste and we chose the Big Ditch Hayburner which was more on the bitter side. Came here for dinner because it was close to our Vrbo. I don't know that I can recommend all the food and I definitely don't recommend the wine. But the pizza was really really good. The waitress we had could have been slightly more friendly, but the owner made up for it because he was extremely friendly and accommodating! We even went back late a few days later and even though the kitchen was closed, he had them make a pizza to go for us. Decent place to stop for a drinks and snack m Since we were in NF for an appointment - we decided to find a place with outdoor seating when're we could grab a beer and a snack. Didn't care for the ashtray a couple of tables away, but it was clean enough. We each had a beer - they have a really solid variety of craft brews in draft - and loved them. Also shared an order of wings, which were excellent! When we were there several of their regular clients came in and I commented to my wife that it reminded me of the TV Cheer; where everybody knows your name. They were a friendly group that love to talk about NF. One of the things I didn't care for was owner, who was very friendly, had a pretty foul mouth. Wow! This place is awesome. First off, a great selection of beers. We went with the local brown, as well as a high gravity Founders selection. Next up, the pizza. We are both from the northeast, spoiled by the first rate pies of New Haven, CT. The thin crust here was first rate. Perfect crunch, perfect flavor, perfect char. (Side note: Saint Louis, take note; this is how you do thin crust) we had the pie with spicy cherry peppers. They were so good! Perfectly spicy, and a nice complement to their rich tomato sauce. Then there was the atmosphere. Fun and boisterous. There were a few slightly tense moments between intoxicated customers, but our amazing bartender jumped right in and everyone was laughing and eating and drinking in no time! When in Niagara Falls on a short vacation, we were looking for a place for a cocktail and maybe a nosh on a Wednesday evening at nearly 8 pm. Due to staffing shortages, our inn wouldn't seat us in the restaurant, and had no chairs at the bar. We hopped in our rental car and found The Craft. They may be struggling like most businesses now, but they manged to mix excellent drinks, make an excellent "craft" salad, and make us feel like friends rather than customers. The interior is warm, stylish and inviting while being casual at the same time . There is a GREAT front patio which is going to do well in the warmer months I am certain . There are 24 taps , focus is on local craft brews , providing a good range of beer and ciders , I think there should be something for everyone here . My New York Beer -Walter's Jelly Donut was a nice surprise . Lovely color (yes, these things make me happy) as well as pleasant raspberry taste without being too sweet . My partner ordered the ribeye which was quite good . The spinach dip also was enjoyable .The falafel ,well..it needs work but I believe they will improve it , they havent been open long. The menu is fairly simple but seemed to have a respectable selection. With the excellent service we received from Weston , the reasonable pricing and good selection of craft beer here, we will definitely be back -even before the patio is open ! read more
