We came here for lunch and ordered 2 pints of Coors Light, tea, Yellow Curry Coconut Bowl: chicken, mixed vegetables, coconut rice, peanuts, cilantro, black sesame seeds. Chicken was dry but the rest of the bowl was good and flavorful. We also ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl: marinated ahi tuna, coconut rice, mango, sesame edamame, cucumber, avocado, pickled carrots, sliced radish, sesame seeds, green onion, sriracha aioli. I got it decompressed as I have dietary restrictions. Unfortunately the ingredients didn't seem fresh. Mango mushy, green onions brown, cucumbers dried up, carrots brown. We wanted refills on our beverages, but server was busy. By the time drinks were refilled and another pint was brought, we were done with our food. We still managed to tip the server. This place is within walking distance of several hotels. I went in with low expectations due to its location. I was proven wrong! Everything that we ordered was actually good. My son, who can complain about any food - loved his as well. My poke bowl was actually balanced perfectly from a quantity perspective - and the flavor was great with just enough spice. The staff were great. Our waiter was on his game. He checked in on us frequently and made sure the drinks were always near full. The place had a bunch of families with kids - but that's expected in touristy areas. Even with a heavy crowd, the staff kept things moving efficiently. This place has a great vibe. We went on vacation and basically every where we went was busy and crowded. We caught a lucky break and was able to be seated quickly at a bar table. The server was friendly and very likeable. We did wait a little bit for our food but that was to be expected for a busy night. I ordered the burger on a GF bun and it was a really good burger. Lots of flavor and cooked perfect. My significant other got the fish. I cant remember the type. The salad was delicious and very filling and the fish was really good too. Then for dessert we shared a GF Turtle Cheesecake. It was pretty rich but really good. My son got the kids grilled cheese fingers and fries and since it was his birthday he got a free brownie! Actually Waaaay better than I had expected! The host was very nice and the server was great. The wings here were actually quite delicious, and I would recommend them 100% we ordered ours dry. Turtle Jack's was great. This was our first restaurant stop as we visited Niagara Falls on spring break for the kids. The service was phenomenal, and the food was above my expectations. I opted for poutine and it was so great. My family also enjoyed their meals as well. I didn't realize the restaurant experience comes with a bonus excursion -- in a full‑blown torrential downpour, no less. You park in one location, hop on a shuttle to another, and then you finally get to eat. With maybe ten people in the entire restaurant, you'd think parking would be the easiest part. Yet the attendant still gave me grief about using the hotel lot... which is literally the same lot the restaurant uses. Nice touch. We even got the restaurant manager involved, didn't help. Fix the parking attendant's lapse in judgment and you might see me again for dinner... instead of watching me head over to Milestones. read more

This review is not for the food as we didn't get a chance to eat here. I called in a takeout order on a Monday evening since they offer takeout and the food looked delicious with great reviews. Turtle Jacks was also a very short walk from the Marriott we were staying at so we looked at the menu online and picked out what we wanted to order for takeout. I called them to place my order and was told that they are not doing takeout orders that night with no apology or explanation. It is clearly listed on their website that they do takeout orders but apparently not on certain nights. We ended up finding another restaurant nearby for takeout. read more

Looked for a decent place to eat at the tourist trap that is Niagara Falls and saw this positively rated spot on yelp, so my friends and I decided to give it a shot and we were pretty pleased. Matt, our server was probably the best part of our experience. He was super friendly and efficient and seemed to really like his job. The restaurant itself is a pretty good spot to watch a game and looks pretty clean and modern, which is surprising, judging by the hotel it's situated in. The food, is what I assume one really cares about and it was good, not great. We ordered a pitcher of sangria for the table and the sangria was not only super refreshing but beautifully displayed with fresh and dried fruits. The alcohol was actually my favorite part of the meal. I ordered a french dip, it was fine. Good but not great and served with fries that were decent enough. My buddy ordered chicken fajitas and the chicken was all white meat that tasted like it was microwaveable. So glad I didn't order that but I of course would avoid ordering Mexican or Mexican adjacent food at a restaurant like this. read more

We been here over 3 times when visiting Niagara Falls, staff were so friendly so nice. The restaurant was clean and with a ton of seating. We ordered fried calamari with a marie rose sauce, it was tangy and very delicious. We also got the chicken quesadilla which came with pico de gallo and salsa & sour cream, it was the perfect crispness and with the dips it was perfect. We tired the gyoza dumplings that came with a ginger garlic soy sauce. Sweet and tangy. For entrees, we got the chicken fingers with a plum sauce and fries and chicken Alfredo. They have great desserts options. We have tried the buttered tart, the brownie. Everything was great! Everything came out fast and everything was delicious. One of our favorite spots in the area. Came into Turtle Jack's when visiting Niagara. I will say one of the main reasons we came here is you could park at the hotel from free if you were eating at Turtle Jack's and parking seemed like a nightmare so this was extremely convenient. Once seated we checked out the menu and they had a little bit of everything as well as your typical bar food. I spotted one of my favorites a classic French Dip so that what I went with. For my side I went with Onion Rings for an up charge. It was also an extra $3 for cheese you of gotta have cheese with a French Dip right? Once our food came out everything looked pretty good. After getting into my French Dip I have to say it was just OK. It came on a baguette but it was kinda stale and dry. It just didn't have the crisp crunch you want from a fresh baguette. The meat inside was a little tough at points too but will say the Au Jus for sure saved it. The onion rings were also pretty good. For the most part everyone agree their food was just OK. I'm not sure I would come again but if you're looking for a place with a lot of options and everyone in your party is looking for something different Turtle Jack's might just be the place for you. read more

This restaurant is an absolute gem! We visited to celebrate our birthdays, and had a great experience. The food was phenomenal--both the ribs and the burgers were cooked to perfection and had great flavor. We also tried the brownie sundae for dessert, and it was so moist and had delicious toffee bits and rich ice cream with it. Our server, Claudia, was outstanding. She was incredibly attentive, sweet, and went above and beyond to make our birthdays feel truly special. She added a lot to make it a great experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming (the perfect spot to get out of the cold!) We came here for dinner. I got lobster bisque and bison meatloaf. My boyfriend got ribs. The lobster bisque was okay. It was a bit salty for my taste. The bison meatloaf was interesting but I did not like it. The bison meatloaf was wrapped around by a bunch of bacon. The gravy or sauce that went with it did not complement the dish at all. The bison meatloaf was finely grounded. My boyfriend thought it should not be that fine because there was no bite to it. Another note I've for this dish would be they need to add some seasoning to it. It was somewhat bland. A bit of salt or Worcestershire sauce could elevate the dish. Moving on to the ribs, it could be a bit more tenders. I think they should add more BBQ sauce to the ribs to help with the flavor. The service was great. Our server was great and friendly. My family and I ended up ordering a bunch of appetizers including chips and guacamole, poutine, calamari, and a DELICIOUS sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and caramel drizzle. Atmosphere and service was 5 star. The food at our table was hit and miss. The chicken parm was well seasoned and tender however the pasta that came with it was so bland and flavorless. The blackened chicken was spicy but bland. The rice that came with it was ok. The French dip was very good. The beef was tender and juicy. The mushrooms I added were marinated and savory. The Swiss cheese balanced out the sandwich perfectly. The garlic Cesar salad that came with the meal was so good! The dressing was creamy, garlicky goodness. The hell of a burger was very flavorful with a good mix of jalapeños and spicy pepperjack cheese. We were able to get it with a gluten free bun. The fries were anything special, in fact they weren't seasoned at all. For the burger, dip sandwich and a glass of wine, with tip we spent $100 US. It was pricy. Most dishes on the menu were $25 - $40 Canadian. The restaurant was in a great location to the falls. It took a long time between the time we sat, got our food and got outta there so much that we missed the fireworks. They didn't seem that busy but it was over an hour between the time we ordered and the food was served. read more

So glad I found Turtle Jacks! After so many horrible reviews at other restaurants in NF we decided to take a 25 minute walk to Turtle Jacks and very glad we did. Service was great! Our server was knowledgeable and offered recommendations. We started with soup; French Onion for me, Lobster Bisque for my husband. Both were delicious and good portion sizes. They brought my daughter a plate of cucumbers, carrots and apples to start which was great! My husband got the blackened basa with lobster mashed potatoes and veggies, I had the NY fried chicken with mashed and veggies and my daughter had cheese pizza with fries. Everything was delicious and very hearty portions. The fried chicken had a little buffalo sauce in the breading which was very tasty. The food is nasty. Idk what yall be eating to give them 4.2 stars but the Cajun pasta was boiled in water. They forgot the salt,the flavor, the cajun!! I mean all of it. How are you going to call something cajun, with cajun and flavorful being synonyms and the pasta have no flavor. The shrimp appetizer is smothered in lemon or lime juice nothing else. The bisque and bread were the best things we ate and the drinks were good. The service was fast and friendly that's what earned the two stars. 10/10 would not recommend or go back!! Overpriced!! A solid 3.5-4 stars. The staff were friendly, food solid, and establishment was clean. We came for a late lunch and the bartender was the only server but she was awesome. Very friendly and took care of all our needs. We had the Cajun chicken penne. So good with good flavor and my kids even loved it, but they are good eaters. Lobster bisque and Cesar salad. The soup had a prominent white wine base but ok. Wanted the lobster to shine more than the wine in the soup but it was ok. Also had the French Dip sandwich which was solid and exactly what you would expect. Not exceptional but a good sandwich nonetheless. Wanted more of a punch between the sandwich and dip. The meat was great but there is just something missing to make it amazing, probably needs a better horseradish. I could describe it upscale casual. It's nice. The atmosphere, ambiance, and staff were all very pleasing. I was a solo diner at the bar. Not only was I a party of one, but there was no one else at the bar or bar area on a Tuesday night in March. It was really nice, actually. My server/bartender Andrea was very personable and engaging. She is good at her craft. Ask for her by name, for the bar or dining room. Okay, so let's talk about the food. After all, that's why you would go to a restaurant. So the French dip that I had was excellent. I had only intended on eating half and taking the other half with me, but I just could help myself, and I left empty-handed. The only critique I would offer is the au jus was a little thick, certainly thicker than I am accustomed to. We went for lunch on a Thursday in the winter. The restaurant was nearly empty so our server, Victoria, quickly sat us at a booth and took our order. The turkey and goat cheese on naan was good but nothing to write home about, however, I had poutine for the first time in my life and it was everything I wished for and more. I tried my family's order of wings and ribs and they were tender and sauced well. Victoria was super friendly and gave us travel advise since we were tourists.
