The restaurant was pretty full, but that's to be expected with the views. Parking is difficult - especially when it's cold with high wind. You're going to be walking. On to the food. The place has a limited menu. Normally this means a place is locked in on things they do well. I tried several meals that were ordered. To me, the food reminded me cruise ship cuisine. Things made in large quantity then quickly pushed out to keep the line moving. I didn't like the quality. If you want a great view of the falls, this is your place. We ate lunch here on a drizzly spring day. Asked the host for the best table in the restaurant and they accommodated us with no fuss, just a smile. I wasn't expecting much of the food, as the main attraction was the view. We were pleasantly surprised by the creative and varied lunch menu featuring locally sourced ingredients and innovative items. I had a falafel bowl with ratatouille, pickled radish, tahini, and saffron rice and my wife had a kale, beet, and oven roasted tomato salad. Both were outstanding. To start, you could have no better view of Horseshoe Falls than that provided by Table Rock Restaurant. It was spectacular! Our waitress, Samantha was amazing. Her recommendations were spot on and she was very attentive to all our needs. As an appetizer, we got a Thai shrimp which was delicious. For our main, my wife and I both got lamb burgers. I had regular fries and she had fries with poutine. The poutine was wonderful. The only minor thing I would say is that the burgers could have been cooked a bit less. You come here for the views , but make sure to reserve a window seat ahead of time. The view is great and enjoyable to share a meal there. Prices are fair for a tourist location. On to the food. We ordered a bread bowl to start , which was nice with the truffle butter for about $9. Good variety of breads and the butter was nice. For my main I had a chicken supreme. (Seasoned chicken over a mash potato). Good was good here, I did have a hair in my food which happens so I'm not knocking them, told the server and it was corrected immediately (so no big deal). Servers were quite attentive and friendly. They made suggestions and were checking on us regularly. Very impressed with dinner here. We were part of a tour group and had a pre-set reservation, menu, and table waiting for us. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. She didn't come often but, it was enough. We were able to choose an appetizer, entree and dessert from a pre-selection menu and the selections were wonderful. All portions were gigantic and very generous. You are not going to leave hungry! -App: The wedge salad was huge and delicious. Loaded with pickled onions, bacon, bleu cheese, tomato and dressing. Sooo good! -Entree: Stuffed chicken was delicious and served with carrots and a mushroom rice. Delish. (Also wanted the braised beef and trout which looked equally as good). Dessert: Tough choice but went with the maple cheesecake which was very yummy The view was stellar, the Table Rock Welcome Center is lovely and you can spend a few hours here hanging out, eating, shopping and enjoying the view. I booked a reservation at the Table Rock House Restaurant because it is the closest you can dine to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. They specialize in a locally sourced and internationally inspired menu with the breathtaking Niagara Falls as your backdrop. I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the price point, but have to say I was not impressed with my experience. The view was amazing but the food was mediocre for me and there were a lot of upcharges. I started my meal with the Table Rock peach cocktail with Vodka, Konzelmann Estates Peach Wine peach purée, soda water. In my opinion there was not much flavor to this cocktail and it was a bit watery with all the ice. I ordered the roasted cauliflower wedge with maple harissa glaze, fingerling potatoes, roasted peppers, asparagus, artichokes, olives, pine nuts, pickled red cabbage. The sauce has some good flavors to it but I was not impressed with the cooking technique of the cauliflower. It was like it had just been boiled in water and did not have any crunch or texture to it. It really needed some sear and some texture or crunch but was just like a slice of blanched vegetable. For the $39 price point, I definitely expected more. Also, I asked to substitute the fingerling potatoes with Brussels sprouts and was charged a $5 upcharge. The prep technique of the cauliflower needed more flavor so they brought me some chimichuri sauce and there was another $2 upcharge for that to just try and flavor my dish so it was enjoyable. This really was a disappointing experience. We also ordered the Table Rock House Salad with local kale, mixed greens, strawberries, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, watermelon radish, orange citrus dressing and there was an upcharge to add chicken. My mom ended up giving me some of her chicken since I was not impressed with the taste and texture of my cauliflower. Also ordered the Miso glazed rainbow trout with corn purée, roasted summer squash, braised rainbow carrots. The service was friendly and efficient. For a nearly $300 dining experience, I didn't expect to be nickeled and dimed for customization or substitutions and I expected the preparations techniques and flavors to be exceptional. I honestly don't know how I've never noticed this restaurant before! Maybe it's new, or maybe I've just missed it all these years. Usually when we go to Niagara Falls, we're either rushing with the kids or just there to see the falls before heading back to Toronto. This time we were hungry, and while I was at a gas station on the way from Toronto to Niagara Falls, I did a quick Google search and this spot popped up. I asked my niece to call and make a reservation while I drove, and we arrived right on time. Thankfully we did, because wow--this place deserves 10 stars if I could give them! The service was incredible, the view was breathtaking, the food was absolutely delicious, and the dessert was just as amazing. Honestly, everything was perfect. I made a reservation online for a party of one even with it being off season. I probably didn't need to, but I did get a great table with the view of the falls. I went for dinner after I heard about the illumination of the falls. Staff was very welcoming. I opted for the prix fixe menu since I was alone and didn't need a lot of food. My brussel sprouts starter and my Niagara Parks Power Station drink were both great. My short rib meal was so salty I could hardly eat it. The waitress offered to to take it back, but I was getting full so I declined. The dessert I hoped for was sold out and I was given a new dessert item to sample which was okay. I had little expectations of a restaurant in a tourist attraction but the food was amazing and the view was spectacular and the prices were very decent and not a ripoff. We had the Kids penne in tomato $18 and the Striploin $44, a Salad, the Short rib poutine, and the Pork belly for lunch. Portions were pretty decent and service was friendly during a weekend in July so we were impressed. Would definitely be back on my next Niagara visit. read more

They sat us right by the window and it's better to go before sunset so you can catch the daytime views of the falls, as well as the nightlights. In terms of food, it was a mixed bag which was expected. The drinks were delicious though on the sweeter side. We got one order of the fixed meal (appetizer crab cakes, short ribs, and Black Forest cake) and the rainbow trout. The crab cakes were flavourful but we found the ribs to be too try. This place is pricey but I think it's absolutely worth it for the experience of getting that Niagara view, and I say this as someone who went on a super foggy day! Service was very good, our waitress was very attentive. We were seated at a window table which was very nice despite the fog! We split the short rib poutine which was amazing. The flavor was insane. I got the butter vegetable curry which was very good. My husband got the Lake Erie pickerel fritters which frankly was not great - oily and flavorless. I was looking up good restaurants ahead of time with views of the falls and this was the first I saw. It is located very conveniently at the famous Table Rock Centre that has a great overlook and has a cafeteria, a gift shop, the Journey Into Falls entrance, and a bus terminal. The incline railway is also nearby that provides easy access to the fallsview hotels which is how we got there and it is also just steps away from the Power Plant tunnel that we had reservations to go to afterwards until we realized I misread the time and went back the next night. We walked in for a 6:15pm dinner reservation and there is ample seating. However, but I would make a reservation for the window view tables ahead of time, especially during peak tourist days. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of not just the menu but things to do in and around Niagara Falls. The views are incredible too and we got to see the changing colors of Horseshoe Falls at night right in front of us from the window of our table. The food is so amazing and uses local ingredients and recipes. The prices are very reasonable for what they are and they have an extensive drink list and we chose two flights of the Ontario regional beers but they also have plenty of wines, ice wines, and cocktails as well. I love how for the flight of beer they not only label but provided coasters with the tasting notes for each beer which is wonderful for Untappd. For food we chose the 3 course Prix Fixe menu. Our appetizers were the amazing and tasty Lamb Barley Chef's Feature Soup and Crispy Brussels Sprouts that were cooked so well I actually became a Brussels sprouts fan to make my wife happy when I am not a fan of them. Our entrees were the amazing, tasty, and perfectly cooked Apricot Glazed Rainbow Trout and the wonderfully locally sourced Maple & Apricot Butternut Squash. Last but not least was our what should he award winning delicious desserts of an Apple Cinnamon Cheesecake and a Chocolate Dome. We definitely recommend a meal here for lunch and dinner and I doubt there is a place this good or a closer up view on either side of the falls. Beautiful views and great wait staff. We chose to order off the 3 course menu. The wedge salad was a hit. We loved the flavors of the bacon jam, blue cheese and pickled onions. This place knocked it out of the (Niagara) park! I'm gluten free and have years of fine dining experience. I'd eat here everyday if I could! The prawn w/o crostini paired with their delicious wedge salad was the most elevated "Buffalo-Style" experience ever! Ever. The sweet Indian spices and heat from the prawns combined w the blue cheese and bacon deliciousness was moving. The earthy and minerally Bella Terra Sauv Blanc paired amazingly and complimented the chocolate mousse like a beautiful bubbleless champagne. Stacey provided wonderful service and was very knowledgeable and accommodating to my gluten sensitivity. Not to mention the breath taking views. This place has the greatest views of any restaurant, it was incredible. The entire restaurant is indoors on the second floor of the Canadian side Niagara welcome center. There are big windows all around the restaurant, and while we requested a window specifically through our reservation, I don't think there was a bad seat in the house. Our waitress was great, she was attentive and catered to random needs (including a "side of pickle assortment" request). As far as food, I split a charcuterie board and enjoyed it. Their only gluten free substitute is a GF bun, so I was able to add a bun onto my charcuterie board order to have some bread to go with it. The fish n chips and BLT got great reviews from my family! The BLT is made with Canadian bacon, just fyi. Overall this is such a wonderful place to stop for a meal during a long day of seeing the falls!! read more
