What a fun place to check out! I was looking for someplace different, when this stumbled across my feed. So I decided to go check out the blind pig. Pretty easy to find, you can't miss the rustic looking exterior with the blind pig in huge letters on top. There's a decent amount of parking, but I'll bet when this place gets busy it's tougher to find a spot. When you walk inside, the interior is very well kept and has a rustic bar-like feel to it, plenty of bar and high top seating as well as booths. I decided to order an iced tea. Something I've noticed about Canada, iced tea is usually a sweetened drink. Not like iced tea you get in the states. So just be aware of that if you're looking to get some iced tea. Regardless, it was very tasty and hit the spot perfectly. One thing I like about this place is they have a bunch of different specials throughout the week, the day I went the special was the brisket sandwich and side salad for $13.99 Canadian. I upgraded to the Caesar salad, and also ordered a side of KFC, or Korean fried Chicken for those of you in the know. Let me tell you something about that. KFC, absolutely delicious! How can you go wrong with fried chicken thighs with Korean BBQ sauce? You can't, that's what I'm telling you! The brisket sandwich was really really good, albeit just a tad dry. But I'm not deducting any points for that. It was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Service was great, friendly staff, and everything came out as expected. Bottom line? I will definitely be back for that brisket sandwich. They also had some other specials so I guess I'm going to need to spend an entire week here and just eat my life away at the blind pig. read more

We picked this place after reading many highly rated Google Reviews and seeing their Happy Hour Menu on a Sunday night. Service was great. He was quick, on the ball and very attentive. We ordered DRUNKEN MUSSELS: beer, garlic, ginger, onion, shallots, parsley, butter. These weren't good. The mussels were fishy, sandy and the broth was watery. Little flavor. BOURBON GLAZE PORK BELLY APP: cubed pork belly, bourbon glaze, homemade creamy coleslaw. This was delicious. BIG PIG BURGER: secret sauce, lettuce, aged cheese, pickles, onions. My partner said this was the most delicious burger he has ever had. It's their take on a Big Mac. I would give this another half star if they had music. Upon entering, I was told to grab a seat wherever I liked. I had to wait a bit for a menu as there was some confusion on who was serving me I guess. But ultimately, my waiter was very nice! I decided to order the wonton nachos and pear goat cheese salad. And a Pepsi (they carry Pepsi products; no Mountain Dew though). I didn't wait long for my food. My salad came out first. It was pretty good! The greens and onion were fresh. The house balsamic was excellent. The spiced walnuts were nice and sweet. The pears were too bland for the flavors of the salad and got lost in it but I appreciated knowing I was eating something so balanced! The goat cheese was good but would have liked just a tad more with it. Overall a good salad! The wonton nachos were ok. They didn't blow me away but it was cool to try something different with the wontons instead of tortilla chips. My teenager was happy to eat them! Overall, not a mind-blowing experience, but not a bad one either. If I came back, I would try a different combo of items I think. Stopped for a quick lunch while seeing the Niagara Falls sights on the Canada side. Buffalo cauliflower was a delicious starter and not as heavy compared to buffalo wings. We went to Blind Pig excited to try it after seeing great reviews and a YouTube video. Arrived around 1:20 PM on a Monday and there was only one family dining, so we thought it would be an easy, pleasant meal. The waiter saw us and told us to sit anywhere, but then never came to our table. After waiting, I walked up to him to let him know we were ready -- he replied "I'm sure" and said he'd be with us soon. He never returned. He kept helping new arrivals while completely ignoring our family. Eventually the place filled up and it was clear one person couldn't handle the service; we left because the server never checked on us and made no effort to accommodate or stop us from leaving. Maybe the food could be good -- we'll never know -- but the lack of service, care, and proper management is unacceptable, especially in a busy tourist area. This place is terrible in terms of service and not worth trying if you're in town. read more

My wife went with the fish and chips, and I had the whisky burger -- both were solid choices. The fish was crispy and flaky, and the fries were seasoned just right. My burger was juicy, cooked perfectly, and had that nice kick from the whisky glaze. We started off with the pork belly appetizer, which was rich, tender, and full of flavor -- definitely recommend that one. For dessert, we had the ice cream-filled hazelnut crepes, which were the surprise highlight. They were light, crispy, and not overly sweet -- a great finish to the meal. The atmosphere was fun and lively -- a little on the loud side, but that's to be expected in a pub setting. Lots of people chatting and laughing, but it still had a cool vibe and felt welcoming. Arrived in town to meet up with a friend for a long weekend(Niagara is the halfway mark between us) and Blind Pig kept coming up in our searches. Glad we listened to the great algorithm and went! We were seated quickly and given menus. My friend got the pesto chicken pizza and I got the aged cheddar burger. She had a hard seltzer and I had local IPA. She loved her pizza. The burger was fantastic and those were some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. Seemed really fresh and were so utterly, perfectly cooked. Visiting from out of town, came across the blind pig while doing a search on Yelp. Our server (Ashley) could not have been kinder if she tried. Started off with the won ton nachos, decent portion, tasty and since nothing was left I'd say order was perfect. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich that had a great spiced sauce, brioche bun and was served with a chicken thigh rather than a dry chickenbreast which made it much tastier and moist. Son had the brisket sandwich which was just ok. By the time the coleslaw hits it, the meat is served cold, I would suggest another choice from their extensive menu. Wifey had the Asian chicken appetizer that was served over coleslaw. She enjoyed it very much. Being a tourist, I ordered a molson beer which went down very well. I highly recommend getting off the main drag and visiting The Blind Pig. read more

If you are in Niagra, Canada, this is a terrific choice. It has the ambiance of a typical bar/pub, but the food is definitely a notch above. We ordered three appetizers, San Marzano Mussels (red tomato sauce with lots of garlic and some spice), Drunken Mussels (garlic white sauce), and wonton nachos (grilled chicken, fresh jalapeños, cheese, salsa, sour cream), all of which were fantastic. Our server was great - they were a little busy with limited staff, but I think they took care of us well. I got the bbq burger with sweet potato fries and was very happy with my order. The food was delicious, portions large, and it was some of the best sweet potato fries I've had. The margarita, however, was not great. I had only a few sips of the small drink; there was little flavor and the tequila was very strong. Disappointing for a $13 cocktail. My dinner companion ordered the cubano with a side of coleslaw and was less than impressed. I thought the sandwich was ok, but would have been improved with toasted bread and a tangy sauce (or pickles!) to cut through the (deliciously) fatty pork. The coleslaw tasted like anything you'd pick up at a grocery store. I'll end on a high note - we did enjoy our Korean fried chicken wings with spicy sauce, although I was expecting (and would have preferred) bone-in wings. This was our first stop after a long drive from PA. We were looking for drinks and a snack, and found this pub on Yelp. The beer selection was good, and I found a nice IPA. My wife enjoyed one of their specials cocktails. We decided to order the nachos, because they were made using fried wonton wrappers instead of chips, which intrigued us. They were delicious; lighter and crispier than regular tortillas. The bartender and other guests were very friendly, and we were made to feel very welcome despite being tourists. Felt like I could have made it at home. I admittedly only read pork belly and didn't read that there was a glaze on it. That part is fine because I love BBQ. However, my food was rancid. It smelled and tasted horrible. I told the server, and he kept asking if I wanted to take it home. I said twice that it was absolutely horrible, and I hated it. He asked if I wanted anything else. I said no. I was actually nauseous from the food. He didn't take the meal off the order and we still tipped because I understand the server didn't make the food. However, we won't be back. Stopped in at The Blind Pig on a Sunday afternoon. Football was on and the beer was flowing. Sunday's bring .65cent wings so we couldn't pass that up. So we ordered 20, 10 hot and 10 medium. They were both pretty much the same heat level. They were pretty good, not the largest wing in the Falls but solid enough. The bar was clean and the service was decent.
