I accompanied a group of seniors on an outing to Niagara Falls and it included dinner at Elements on the Falls. It's been a while since I've visited Niagara Falls. The building looks newly renovated and the restaurant looks really nice, with tiered seating and a spectacular view of the Horseshoe Falls. We had an arrangement with the restaurant and a special menu that included soup, salad, a choice of Prime Rib, Salmon, or Mushroom Ravioli, and a slice of cheesecake for dessert. The Potato Leek soup was quite tasty, as was the salad with a raspberry(?) vinaigrette. The prime rib, despite the big fat band and gristle going through it, tasted better than I anticipated. It wasn't a great cut of beef but it wasn't bad, cooked medium-rare, how I like it. The cheesecake was okay, not too sweet. The other choices, the salmon or mushroom ravioli, looked pretty good. I didn't hear anybody complaining. Overall, it was a decent meal and our server was very good. Looking at their menu, however, it's quite pricey for what they're serving but the view is really the star, not the food. read more

Great spot of look out at the scenery and a decent bite by the falls. We were able to snag a seat by the window. The washrooms are nice and clean. There are beautiful hot pink fuscia gerber daisies in a bowl in the women's sink. Ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and I ordered the veggie burger with the $5 upgraded sandwich. We were both hungry from the falls walk. It's a beautiful view and sheltered from the falls spray. The buffalo chicken wrap sandwich was the best part of this late lunch. The fries were so-so, overcooked and soggy. The veggie burger was bland and lack luster and boring, BBQ sauce helped it go down some. The $5 salad was very vanilla and came with Italian dressing and a few rotten pieces of lettuce with it, swell. We stopped here because the person who sold us tickets told us to come back and eat. He said it was "okay." Here's the deal, my thoughts. Before I even walked in the door was, it's going to be to busy. It's going to be pricey. It's going to be to touristy. We were 100% wrong on all of that. Was it a little much for lunch? Oooh ya. First, we ordered the Atlantic Smoked Salmon & Tempura Shrimp. As you could see from the photos that I and other yelpers have posted, the portion size for the salmon and shrimp is not worth its asking price ($12.99). You could literally go to a grocery store and buy a pack of smoked salmon for $6, fresh shrimp from the seafood counter for $3, tempura batter and other ingredients they used (tomatoes, lettuce, ranch, red onion) for $4. For the same price, you get 5x the amount of food pictured here. Second, we ordered the Falls Macaroni & Cheese. I have here 3 times now and all the time's food was outstanding and so was the view but I always felt that my server is mean.. lol so this time went and spoke to the manager but he was meaner :P So I got it that its not the servers who make my experience bad but the management. Servers are behaving how they have been told to. we were the party of 6 adults and 1 child reserved the place on 31st Dec 2017 - for the new year's special dinner - 65$ per person for a 3-course meal. Once we were taken to our table, while we were still settling (1 min on the clock) the server came asked if we have decided the drinks. we mentioned we need like 5 mins as there is just One menu on the table for 7 people to share. 1 min later (on the clock) she is back again. well, it takes 30 sec per person at least to open the menu and find the drinks section, we sent her back. and there she is in 30 seconds. while only 2 people got a chance to go through the menu, (remember, there is just 1 menu). Now she mentions (which was a surprise for all of us) that we can't be this slow as we have to vacate the table in 1.5 hours. So I went to see the manager-on-duty, and he said this is something -we should have known, coz nobody spends more than 2 hours in a restaurant... and since its new year it comes down to 1.5 hours (he mentioned it is like a standard etiquette that "we" are missing) Long story short.. when you pay this amount, reserve in advance for a special occasion, with friends and travel so far (100% of the people travel to Niagara falls) I think don't think it is unrealistic to expect a stressfree, respectful dinner. And if the restaurant has some policies(which they might think are pretty standard), they should mention it while we do the reservations. Food is good- no doubt but alcoholic drinks are watered down for sure! the place has the best view of the falls and people are here to see the falls . and this place owns the view and so they are exploiting customers money & time. read more

This was one of our last meals while visiting the Niagara Falls and it was a good meal for sure. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the establishment were definitely that of a high end restaurant. With an exceptional view of the falls, this is a great place to catch a bite to eat. We were here at night / dusk and it gave a great view of the falls with the lights shining on them. The food we had was absolutely delicious and I would visit here again. We had some lentil soup and a yummy dip with some bread for an appetizer. Like all the other reviews stated, this place is way overpriced. We saw a couple different entrees we wanted to try but ended up going with the burger after we saw another table order it. It looked very appetizing and shareable. When ours came out, it was just as heaping and delicious as we thought it'd be. Our server didn't ask us what temperature we wanted our burger cooked but it came out well nonetheless. Our server, Maria, was very sweet and accommodating. The burger was tasty-- I especially enjoyed the blue cheese and the big portabella mushroom. Burger was accompanied by fries and was enough for myself and my fiancé to share. We weren't very hungry. It was a great little break where we could sit and relax and seek shelter from the freezing cold weather. Our table was right by the window and the view was beautiful. We have been here twice and will never go back again. Recently, we were here for the new year eve's dinner this year. It was a three course price fix menu for 65$ per person. The food was pretty good. The views were fantastic. The service however left a lot to be desired. We sat around 5:30 pm for dinner. It was hardly 2 mins after, the waitress showed up for the drinks order. We were a group of 6 and there was only 1 drinks menu for the table, so we told her we need a few more mins. She was back again in 2 mins. We sent her back again. She was back again within a minute. She mentioned that they have another reservation at 7:00 pm. The restaurant was empty, there was only one other table occupied. She was successful in spoiling the experience for all of us. It was hardly 5 mins since our arrival and we were already pestered thrice. My wife went to speak to the manager about her behaviour and he was like this is New Year's Eve and we are expecting near full occupancy later in the evening. Long story short the service was very inconsiderate and unprofessional. Once the drinks food orders were done, the waitress only showed up in the end to bring our checks. The food however was pretty good. The bread was warm and fresh. Wife had the butternut squash bisque soup while I had the lobster soup. Both were very good. For mains, wife had the vegetarian option while I had the grilled salmon. They were both okay. For dessert, I had the creme Brûlée while wife had the cheesecake. Both of them were very nice. For drinks, I had a flight of local beer which was pretty good. Wife had a pina colada which tasted like a virgin pina colada. We paid about 180$ for dinner for two and the service/treatment we receive was terrible. My husband and I decided to go to Elements for our anniversary dinner. We knew it would be touristy, but hey, we're tourists. It looked to me like the best place to go for views. I made a reservation for a Sunday evening the weekend after Labor Day. We were seated pretty promptly by the window. It was a gorgeous view. The restaurant is practically on top of the falls. Our waitress was attentive. We both ordered from the prixe fixe menu. It looked like a good value. I got the butter lettuce salad and hubby had the caesar. Butter lettuce salad was a bit of an overstatement since there were actually only a couple of pieces of butter lettuce. The herb vinaigrette was oily and tasteless, fortunately I got it on the side. I was starting to get concerned. For the main course I ordered the butternut squash pasta and hubby had the rainbow trout. We both enjoyed the meals very much. The side of veggies was good and the butternut pasta was flavorful. I had the gelato for dessert and hubby had the carrot cake. The cake was a bit of a disappointment, it was tiny and was like a sheet cake. The gelato was very good however. The restaurant is kind of hit or miss with some dishes being very good and some not so impressive. I wish I could give 3.5. The service and view were good. One other note, when I made the reservation, it asked if it was for a special occasion, so I selected anniversary. There was never any mention of it by anyone at the restaurant, so I'm not sure why they bother to ask. Hosts: The girls in the front spent a lot of time chatting amongst themselves and did not have good communication at all. My partner attempted to ask them about the phone call he made in advance that day to reserve a table by the window. Instead of communicating clearly, one hostess said, "Okay have seat." I know she doesn't have much authority to do much, but a smile and more communicative demeanor would have made the experience much more sweet. Table By The Window: Before we were seated, we noticed a giant condensation stain on the window. I suppose it was caused from the humidity outside and the coolness inside. But our table appeared to be the only table that had this giant spot of condensation on the window which really dampened our view of the falls... It almost defeated the purpose of sitting at a table by the window. But aside from that, the table was set very elegantly, no sign of previous customers and what you could see through the stained window was absolutely gorgeous. Server: I'm upset at myself that I cant remember our waitress name but she was so funny and very accommodating. Her services was A1! She completely picked up on the whole "love birds" vibe we were giving off, approached our table and cleverly pointed at, "Oh my! I can see you two steaming up the windows over here!" This place is advertised to have the best views while eating, after seeing the views close up, my pregnant friend became nauseous and needed to eat so we stopped here. Their prefix menu got me, $35 for an app, entree and dessert. Food review: For the app I received the spinach and artichoke dip which came with four pieces of sliced baguette bread. The cheese mix reminded me more of the macaroni and cheese sauce with pieces of peppers, spinach and a blend of multiple cheeses. Entree I was disappointed with, I got the steak tips and asked for it medium rare but received it more of medium well. The steak was difficult to cut and chewy rather than melting in your palette. The gelato I would have to say was amazing, three different flavors with fresh fruit with the Canadian maple syrup drizzle. Our food was good, the beer was good and Michelle, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I had the mixed green salad with prosciutto and goat cheese. Lots of prosciutto, but could have used a little more goat cheese. Probably better than I didn't have TOO much cheese. My wife got their burger, which she said it was really good. We made a reservation for 8:00 p.m. so we could take our time to eat and see the falls light up after it got dark. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived so we sat at the bar for a drink to wait. My husband asked the bartender attending what she recommended and she clammed up and said through gritted teeth, "It's your preference... um..." LOL So maybe she could use some training? Anyways, after that we were seated and we ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer. All of the food was delicious, albeit expensive, but you're paying for the view. You will not find a view like this at any other restaurant. You are sitting atop the falls and it is SO WORTH IT. We could have done without the bottle of wine but since we were hanging around holding up the table, we figured we would order more than a glass. We got a dessert sampler that had 2 macrons that were delicious and when we asked our server what kind they were she had no idea. Wow!!! So often, when you dine in a restaurant with a fantastic view like this, the food ends up being mediocre. Not so here, as the food is completely amazing. The room is beautiful, and the furnishings quite comfortable. We arrived right when they started serving dinner at 5 o'clock, so we were able to secure a table by the main windows. I have a son with autism, and asked if he could possibly order a cheeseburger off the kids menu. Our server (Justine) was very accommodating and kind in fulfilling our request. I went with a mixed seafood plate that included lobster ravioli, a generous cut of salmon, giant shrimp, and a scallop. All of it was delicious! I also had their craft beer flight, which was a nice item to be able to order. My son and my wife both ordered the steak, and indicated that it had been delicious. You can check about the daily specials. As starters, we ordered "Toasted garlic bread with Bruschetta Salsa". Crust was made with combination of cheese like mozzarella, parmesan and cheddar. This ultimate combo is so very tempting. Heart of the recipe is mainly scallions, garlic, basil and tomatoes which adds a magical touch. We made sure we chewed it slowly to enjoy every bit of the great niagara falls. We ordered 2 entrees: 1. Atlantic salmon fillet : absolutely fantastic. Great option if you are on a diet-watch. Delicious salmon filled with lobster mousse with a the side of veggies and wild rice! Overall a great savory dish. 2. Grilled canadian 6oz. Striploin steak: Loved their steak preparation. Very tender and juicy. This dish came with a side of salad and fries. That did not excite me much. It was an okay and manageable dish. Nothing fancy though. I loved the fact this restaurant uses local foods from the Niagara region. My Rainbow Trout served with wild rice and season veggies was well prepared and tasty. My parents enjoyed the Strip Loin. The Clam Chowder and Squash Soup was tasty but the serving could have been a bit bigger and not served with a package of saltine crackers on the side. I was a bit reluctant to try this place. It had a perfect view of the falls. Absolutely gorgeous which I immediately thought to myself..... the food must be horrible. Any place with a good view or close to the water usually doesn't try very hard to produce a good product because they know either way that they will be busy. Needless to say I was 100 percent wrong. The food was dare I say, amazing! So amazing in fact that I had lunch there 2 days in a row. For starters I had the trout spinach dip. This is where they really had me hooked. Definitely a must have. I also had their fish sandwich and grilled vegetable croissant. Both equally has good. Their menu proudly states where all of the products have come from. Being mostly local and organic. Like every other review states, you cannot beat the location of Elements, as it sits as close to the Falls as you can get (for a meal at least). The views are absolutely incredible, and the windows are huge so that you can fully take in the sights (which is why you'd come to Elements to begin with). I came with my fiance and another couple for lunch at Elements - we had originally thought to come here for dinner and were confused as to why OpenTable stopped reservations at 6:45 PM (it's because the rail car/tram thing stops running @ 8 PM, so Elements very nicely don't want you to be stranded and have to scale a cliff to get back up). We decided to do an early lunch instead, so arrived as the restaurant was opening at 11:30 AM. Like the reviews have said, the food was fine, but nothing special. The veggie burger I got was just a frozen patty that was heated up, and everything was just okay. It all came out warm and was just generic food. The service was good, and our waiter actually told us a few fun facts about the Falls that we had never heard. Overall, the food was average at best (2 stars for the food), the service was good, and the views were absolutely outstanding (5 star views). "You are paying for the view". The food here is rather pricey, but if you want a perfect view of the Horseshoe falls during lunch or dinner, definitely come here! Entrees are $29+ and appetizers are $10+. My family and I ended up coming here twice because the first time we were hungry and walked a whole bunch, so this was our best option for good-quality food. I did not feel like spending a bunch of money on entrees i was not sure the quantity was going to be for the price I was going to pay, so appetizer varieties it was! Our appetizer choices were (in order of favorites): Atlantic Smoked Salmon & Tempura Shrimp, Vegetable Samosas and Forty Creek BBQ Beef Brisket Potato Skins. Let me start with the salmon & tempura shrimp - the cold smoke salmon was terrific - I just wished there was more of it; the tempura shrimp batter was rather thick and the shrimp was very small. The samosas were seasoned to perfection and they gave 4 on a plate, so that was quite plentiful. The beef brisket over potato skins was nothing glamorous, so it was the least favorite - just basically shredded beef smothered in BBQ sauce over potato skins. I was not blown away with the food, but blown away by the view. The second time we came here, we came for tapas because we had a buy 2, get 1 tapas free coupon. The tapas again, were mediocre. They had the same beef brisket over fries this time. We also had the vegetable samosas again because my husband enjoyed them thoroughly. Steaks were extremely fatty, even for a ribeye and had a nerve running through them. And they were very thin. Not a good piece of meat. For $43 it should be at least a decent steak. Best part. The view!!! We walked in at the perfect moment. Were were immediately sat at a window seat with a great view. Not two minutes after we ordered drinks it began to downpour outside. I think our waitress was psychic because she came over to grab our orders immediately. Thankfully she did because that place filled up QUICK. Thankfully our orders came in before the rushes so we got our food lickity split. I got the buffalo wrap. Veryyyyy good. I was impressed. Usually places that sell the view have mediocre food, but not Elements. My moms door and ours was delicious and fresh. Our waitress continued her cheery demeanor even in the hectic mess that the restaurant became after the mass influx of people. Worst service I've ever gotten. So, my friends and I walk in looking for a nice place to get a good cup of Irish coffee. Lured by the view, we stumbled upon this place to be greeted by a nice lady who seated us right next to the panoramic window. It was around 2pm and there were only two or three other tables with people which probably explains why we got good seats. We opened opened our menus with excitement and were then approached by the rudest waitress ever. She scoffed when we told her we weren't ready with out order and kept pacing around the table. Upon inquiry, we found out that they don't have soy milk and only offer 2%. Those who are lactose intolerant are out of luck. (Thus one of my friends ended up getting tea). My other friend and I got one Irish coffee and another Italian. Both of the coffees tasted like instant coffees spiked with cheap alcohol. I don't know if my expectations of amaretto are unreasonably too high but I don't think it should taste anything like dilute Vitali. The Irish coffee was also topped with *warm* whipped cream (how weird was that?!) and arrived at our table half spilled on the doily plate under the clear goblet. The waitress continued to pace around the table, flung the bill at us 10 minutes into our coffee break and loomed over until she saw us pay. Keep in mind, it's not like there was a line out the door full of people waiting to get in and paying $20 for 2 cups of coffee and a mug of tea, i think we deserved a little privacy. read more

It is definitely worth the wait for a seat with a view and the $49 prefixed menu was excellent. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant every time we are in Niagara Falls. read more

The beautiful view upped this from a two- to three-star rating. Of course it was gorgeous and great to be able to sit and take in the horseshoe falls. The service was good and my server pleasant. I had the vegetable samosas to start. These were my favorite part of the meal and had I stopped there it would have been a four-star rating. Alas, I continued my meal and had the lamb chops with minted apple chutney. The lamb was by far the fattiest I've seen come out of a restaurant. I'm accustomed to a better/different butchering job. The vegetables and potatoes were cold and unappetizing. The apple barge, a phyllo dough cup dusted with cinnamon sugar filled with ice cream and apples was decent. Nothing to write home about. Now that my view is being obstructed by two bus loads of tourists that just streamed in, my $80 meal really wasn't worth it. read more

For somewhere that is clearly in tourist land, I was expecting lackluster service and passable food. Boy, was I mistaken! Both the food and the service were excellent. Special shoutout to our server, Jessica, who did an excellent job. This was the only restaurant opened in the building on the Tuesday evening in that building. Service was excellent, Joanne was awesome! View was to die for. They sat us right by the window overlooking the falls. Food was so so. Out of everything we ordered, the only yummy food was the buffalo chicken wrap. Steak was not good at all. It was a small and very thin piece and the side dish was blah. The spinach and artichoke dip was ok. Dessert was ok. read more

Ok, we went here for dinner first night in the falls! We figured most places we're good for kids since it is a touristy area, and we went here on a recommendation. Atmosphere: Great! Got a window seat that looked at the Falls, and we were close to them. The restaurant is somewhat noisy and lively, and it is a well layer out space. Food: menu looked great. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin and the wife got Swordfish and the kids pasta. The beef looked great and tasted below average at best. The fish was also below average and the pasta was, well....pasta. The restaurant and the menu looked the part of being great, but when the curtain came up, the act did not hold up ( the food was not great). Service: on top of the food being a disappointment, the service forgot our salad, made us wait a while to order, And forgot the kids veggies.
