This place is such a great hidden gem! I've passed by it several times driving on Rt 5 but never stopped...until today! So glad I did because this place is amazing. First of all they have $12 deals on Tuesday! Check them out! For today I just tried regular options on the menu. Everything I had was great and you really can't go wrong. I dined with my sister and we had: Banana pepper soup Goat cheese balls Hot bread with dipping oil (complimentary) Salads with homemade white balsamic dressing Chicken French Cajun steak Alfredo Peanut butter pie There wasn't a bad item on the menu, and I can't wait to come back again to try something new. The desserts are homemade by Paula from "save room for dessert" and you definitely have to save room! They're worth the calories! Service was also great- everyone was friendly and came to the table often to take plates and refill water. Absolutely worth going here!

This place is a hidden gem. I've driven past it for years without thinking anything of it. I met some friends here recently, and I was so surprised I've never been here! The food was super tasty, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very nice. I would definitely come back if I were in the area again.

It's one of my favorite spots! Food is always amazing and they make some good drinks! Buffalos best kept secret! Make sure you get the chicken banana pepper soup!!!! We also indulged in the RustBelt Meatloaf, loaded with pulled pork and bacon and the inferno chicken. Washed down with a gin and tonic and vodka tea! Perfect!!!

Service was amazing. All the staff was hustling as they were very busy. I filled up on the bread which was delicious. I didn't get a pic of it because we demolished it fast. The ambiance is nice, it's a bit dark but it's comfortable. My only complaint was the wait time for the food. Which was amazing once we finally got it (over an hour wait) our server told us that the cook was short handed today. We will definitely be back and hopefully they won't be short handed that day.

Cajun pasta with steak

Exceeded my expectations all around! I remember driving past this place but never looked into the type of restaurant it was. I only went because of a recommendation from my sister to try something new where neither of us had been. It was nice to walk right in and be seated, the server came over right away to take our drink order, discuss specials and give recommendations on what to order with it being our first time. The appetizers came out very quick and we even asked if she would wait to put our dinner order in so we could enjoy our drinks and apps. She had no problem doing that and said just to tell her once we were ready. I had the banana pepper soup and it was good and not too spicy. I tried the goat cheese balls but it was not something I would typically like so I didn't really enjoy them but my sister likes goat cheese and said they were very good. I ordered the Cajun pasta with steak as the entree and it also came with a side salad. The house made white balsamic was delicious on the salad and the pasta had amazing flavor. It was also a big portion and I took a lot home. There were so many other things in the menu that I can't wait to go back and try!

Chicken Inferno

I have been to this restaurant twice and I really enjoyed my experience both times . First of all the menu is outstanding and reasonably priced . That is not counting the specials - new specials are posted on their Facebook page every day ! This past visit my aunt and I ordered two entrees - the chicken inferno (stuffed banana pepper, sweet chili sauce ) and crab stuffed haddock . Entrees come with fresh bread and a side salad. I was able to upgrade to a loaded baked potato for $3 (worth it ) . Food was as delicious as they appear in pictures I posted. Plenty for leftovers . Server was kind and accommodating . Dare I say Rust Belt is one of the best restaurants in the south towns ! Try it for yourself and see if you agree ....

The venue itself is of course still very new, clean and modern. That can often mean high noise…read morelevels as others have noted, modern restaurant construction seems to put acoustics at the bottom of the priority list. That said, I did not find it overly loud, just loud enough where you had to raise your voice slightly. Enough about that. Johnson's Landing has a Lenten fish fry special, $20 for a full fish fry with sides, and this includes one of their specialty beers. This is a good deal to get a craft beer included with your fish fry. I actually ordered it to go and enjoyed the beer while waiting for the fish to take out. It was a very solid fish dinner, the batter was crispy, not oily. The fish was fresh, all of the sides were good, even the rye bread was a nice hearty thick cut of rye. The mac salad featured tuna, which I do like. And the fries were hot and tasty. The fish itself was not huge but was big enough for us. Every component of the fish fry dinner was on point. The barmaid was efficient and friendly, I did not have to wait. My only complaint is that they do not list beer prices on their menu, which was fine this time since it was included with the meal, but would prevent me from enjoying a stop on the way home for a beer or two. I think it is a sneaky practice, but strangely I do note prices on their website, and guess what? All draft beers are $8 including Labatt Blue Light, unless the website is now outdated. ($8 for Labatt's!! Holy Moly!) I can see why it is not on the printed menu. I really don't like when there is not full price transparency, thus four stars instead of five. However I wholeheartedly endorse the value and quality of the Lenten fish fry special.

Very unorganized and def not friendly. Almost as if they're being bothered. I've been back several times and each time it's been basically empty (Sundays). The bartenders are more interested in scrolling on Snapchat than attending to customers. I only go back because of the scenery and chicken wing deals. Both entrees were a decent portion and tasty . I won't give this place 5 stars only because the bathrooms needed some tidying up and our server went MIA when it came time to settle the bill and get takeout containers (we had another server hunt her down ) . With that being said, I would come back , especially in the summer for the view and a decent meal .

We went with the Uncle Papi, which can only be described as pizza and a fried chicken sandwich having a beautiful, messy love child. The chicken filet was impressively large, and the Sunday sauce? So good it would absolutely earn a seal of approval from my Italian grandma. The fries were plentiful, and while I regret not testing one of their fun dipping sauces, the house-made blue cheese did not disappoint. We also ordered the Messy Pressy (aka the poutine burger), and it lived up to its name in the best possible way. Delicious, indulgent, and led to a nap on the ride home. Already looking forward to coming back--and possibly making it a personal goal to work my way through every burger and sandwich on the menu.
