    Single order of medium fingers
    Nikki G.

Snyder Bar & Grill is comfort and I needed some on a Sunday, as the Sunday scaries were definitely coming at me full force. My boyfriend and I also caught the second half of the atrocious Bills game. Everyone was at the bar watching the game, and we were the only two in the dining area. We got the best seat in the house, where he could watch a television and had it all to himself, and I could watch a television too. I ordered a single order of medium fingers and my boyfriend ordered a patty melt. Both meals were satisfactory and hit the spot.

Peanut Butter Bacon Burger (cooked medium) w/French fries

On an abnormally warm Saturday night in October, some family and I decided to try Snyder Bar and Grill for dinner. In short, we had a nice experience! I arrived around 6:00pm on a Saturday night and was able to grab a parking spot right out front of Snyder Bar and Grill. The front parking lot is small but I noticed a sign that said additional parking in the back. You could probably also park in one of the end spots at Walgreens too, it you want to be adventurous. haha I walked in and family I was meeting had already grabbed a table. It sounded like it was a seat yourself-style of seating. There's a pretty sizeable bar area and a long, dine-in section with multiple TVs playing college football and playoff baseball, which is where we sat. Our waitress was very courteous and friendly. From the time we place our orders to when our food arrived, it probably was about 20 minutes or so, which was good for a table of five. The only thing was the food orders came out haphazardly and some of us had to wait an extra minute or two, but definitely not a deal breaker. For dinner, I ordered their Peanut Butter Bacon Burger (cooked medium) without lettuce, tomato, onion with French fries on the side. I tell you what, this was an excellent burger! The burger was hot, thick, and juicy, cooked a perfect medium. The bacon was cooked to my liking where it was a little crispy but still had a little chew to it. I really appreciated the generous amount of peanut butter spread on top of the burger itself! Each bite was phenomenal and had all of the flavors and texture I was looking for. The next time I order the burger, I would maybe add some pepperjack cheese or have jalapeños on top just to add a little bit of spice/heat. The French fries were steak fries so a bit thicker but still fried to a nice crispiness and had a nice golden color. My meal did a nice job filling me up without having me feel stuffed. I also thought the price of my burger and fries were incredibly reasonable compared to some other bar and grill spots I've been to in Buffalo. All of us were very happy with our meals and time at Snyder Bar and Grill! I really liked that it had that small, hometown bar vibe going for it as there were plenty of people at the bar drinking and conversing, having a great time. The dine-in staff seemed young but generally friendly and accommodating. I would not hesitate to come back for a beer and burger. Or, maybe I should try their wings - A booth had ordered some and we were shocked at how big and how good they looked all sauced up.

Not impressed. Boyfriend ordered buffalo chicken wrap and there was hardly any chicken. I ordered the appetizer sampler and everything was deep fried way too long; I could tell by how dark it was as soon as it was set down and then confirmed by eating. I didn't finish anything. I couldn't even taste what was inside and the batter was so overcooked. I usually love a little dive like this but it totaled missed the mark.

Since then, they've become very commonly put in the best wings group for locals. However, I will say that while that is a great thing for their business, it may be a con too. This is a very small dive bar. Nice sports bar atmosphere and the staff is generally very nice and accommodating. But the last couple times we've been, we've noticed the dip in food service. We showed up at 5pm on a Saturday, and when we walked in, I kid you not, there was not one order of food on any of the tables, and the tables were filled. Very bizarre. I would assume they do a great portion of their business with door dash, and it seems as if that took priority over feeding the customers inside of the actual restaurant. It also seemed extremely overpriced. (I didn't pay much attention in the past about the price.) for 5 single order of wings, order of fingers, 1 order of onion rings, and 1 order of fries, our bill (4 adults and 2 kids) was $172. I could not believe it. You would have thought we ate at Lucia's for that price. While they are still my favorite wings, it's gonna cost you.

For food, I tried the Reuben poutine appetizer ($20). Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the price. The cheese seemed very processed--hard to even describe, and definitely not what I expected. The fried Reuben itself was just okay, but overall it felt overpriced for what it was. It starts off with us calling out to her she for our drinks which she ignored. Not only that, when my husband asked her to remove the ice she removed the whole drink. We decided to leave it at that, I thought I could speak to her kindly to change it. When I went there, she said "you made me remove the ice that's why this is like this, and I can't give people like you free shit" I was honestly just shocked and a little bit drunk from the place we went before so I couldn't process it, looking at my shocked face she goes "I can make you another drink but you'll have to pay for it" I say yes do that please. She shows me quantity mocking me, "this is what is used and the amount of quantity I'm not gonna do this again so I'm showing you" I still say thank you When she comes back with the new drink, i was about to take it and then go back to our seat where my husband is and get money to pay her, returning her my old drink, she goes "nah I'm not giving it to you until you pay it" since I'm tipsy I say please keep my drink too I'll give you the money, while I'm giving her back the drink she doesn't hold the glass and it tips off and falls and she makes a nasty face I say sorry and proceed to get the money from my husband. By then husband saw me at the waiting at the bar too long and was heading towards me to help me out. When he comes I tell him to give me money and he gives it to me, again at the bar we're trying to catch her attention, she comes back are you paying for the drink? I say yes with the 20$ in my hand reaching out to give it to her, and asked the drink you spilled I already paid for that, are you gonna give me that back? She proceeds to not give the new drink I say can I have my drink back, she screams I'm not serving you lady, get off! I was still calm and didn't say anything cuz I was tipsy, my husband right next to me while this happened. (He was confused as he didn't know what happened in the first half of the conversation as he wasn't there) We were absolutely shocked and ended up leaving, I ended up crying the whole night. Waited for the alcohol to wear off to understand what I've truly been through. Saw the timings of the bar so we could go and talk to the manager/owner about it, I called the number present in google, waited for someone to pick up, the cleaner picked up after I called multiple times, it opens at 3pm on Sunday we would've left Buffalo by then to start for home, so we went at 1pm to see if anyone was there, same cleaner. Left him our numbers, he said he will let his manager know but didn't help (as apparently he didn't know anything else, didn't even know the name of the tall female bartender, who was so ugly to me) Since then I've emailed, called, there has been no response. I'd not have posted this had there been any response since then. I've been affected by this humiliation horribly, my mental health got messed up cuz I'm still questioning as to how can someone behave like this with me, what did I do wrong, because surely the color of my skin cannot be the only reason you hate me, we were celebrating 6 months of our marriage, seeing Niagara Falls was so immensely beautiful, but this experience changed my whole perspective about human behavior, all I can say is Please donot spend your hard earned money there that is my only request. PS: I keep posting the review on Google but they keep removing it somehow I just posted it again. But they removed it. I'm gonna keep posting until it's there.
