We went for Father's Day (sorry review is late). It was pretty empty but given the holiday and it being a Sunday- to be expected. Our waitress was really nice and answered all of our questions. We sat outside because the nice weather in Buffalo is pretty short lived year round. The stools were not that comfortable but we had a lot of table room. We split an appetizer of onion petals (think like Outback blooming onion, but less battered, and more genuine). I had a Philly hoagie, my dad had the chicken finger hoagie (he thinks it really was more of a sub) and my sister had the white pizza. The food was delicious by all of our accounts. My only tiny complaint is the tray liner was ripping when I cut my hoagie because it was too big to eat with my hands, that I ended up eating some of the paper, comes with the experience right?! I absolutely love this place. The restaurant and bar is quaint and cozy. Everyone is friends even if you havent met and they have a wonderful staff, the owner is wonderful and is working so hard along with his staff and is super sweet. They have great food and tons of gluten free options!!!!! It is amazing!!! And unlike other restaurants they dont charge you $4 for a roll that isnt great always and is something many of us need so we dont get super sick and many restaurants still think people do it for weight loss. They dont charge extra in restaurants for other dietary restrictions. So if u need to go eat gluten free and miss certain foods go here!!! They also have live music and Bingo!!!! Go here! Another visit to Bloomfield's Pub. As usual , greeted at the door with a smile and shown to a table for two. Thursday is wing night 50 cent wings with 2 drink minimum. Had em hit an xtra crispy. Came out super fast with tight amount of crisp and the right amount of sauce. Two Sam Adams seasonal beers. Super cold and oh so good.we try to get here once every 4-6 weeks. The waitresses are extremely friendly and with a great sense of humor. Also there always younger kiddos here and there, and for an establishment that is also a bar you have no qualms about the atmosphere. This place will always get 5 stars from me. Walking in to Bloomfield's we were greeted promptly and seated quickly. I personally enjoy a place that has a neighborhood bar feel to it and this place had that box checked easy. They claim they're the "home of the appetizer ", well they're right. We got some beers and a frosty lemonade for the little shortly after the drinks arrived our food order was in and shortly after it was hot and ready. The finger and fries were hot, moist and crispy the things that the little loves. The beef on weck was amazing, lots of meat and a nice side of steak fries. Wings had a bit of an oily hot sauce but it wasn't too bad. They were crispy and a decent size and reasonably priced. But that French onion soup, I'd come just for that, one of the best we've had in quite a while. We look forward to visiting again and trying more of their menu read more

The food was very delicious as were the adult beverages. I ordered the chicken finger wrap and it was cooked to perfection. The one lady at the bar was a bit guarded and standoffish. It's sad because there were a lot of people to earn a good tip with the bill. Busy or not busy you need to give your all to earn your tip. What's crazy is when I ordered my first drink at the bar I gave her $12 in cash thinking it would keep her motivated. Well it didn't. Never again will I do that. Lesson learned. The most bland food I've ever had all around. I was informed that they only had gluten free chicken fingers, however, only the actual chicken fingers were gluten free, was given a regular hoagie roll. That was fine with me because I don't have a gluten allergy, but was disappointed again a the blandness of the overall meal, bad enough that I couldn't finish it. My daughter and I were looking for something new, different during my visit. We settled on Bloomfield's Pub. I saw their menu was pretty extensive and it offered a little bit of everything. When we got there, it was a typical bar scene with dining tables toward the back. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere. There was only one server who was running all over the bar/restaurant so it took a minute for her to get to us. When we ordered our drinks (beer) they came out very quickly. The menu has many appetizer options, so it was hard to make a decision and stick with it. My daughter ordered french onion and raved about it. We kind of chose some random items to share and also got a larger item for ourselves. I ordered the Polish Taco's, Reuben Spring Rolls and wings. I think my daughter ordered a meat half meatball sub (could be wrong). The food did take a while to come out, not sure if that's normal...so don't expect anything too quick. That was fine w/ us, as it was my last night in town and spending time w/ my daughter was the priority. When the food did come out, the Reuben Spring Rolls (think pizza logs w/ a reuben sandwich inside) were friggin amazing! The wings were outstanding as well. The Polish Taco was a miss. Not sure what happened there, but the description said kielbasa, sauerkraut and onion inside a pita. When it came out, for some reason it had ground sausage inside as well. The pita was hard to bite through as well. The ground sausage was not a good combo with the rest, as all I assumed (based on the description) were the items listed on the sandwich. I was full by the time I got to the "Polish Taco" though, so I took it "to go" so my daughter could take it to lunch. Despite the failed item, the rest of the items were outstanding. We stopped here for dinner early on a Saturday evening. They have a huge variety of appetizers but we were more interested in dinner. Hubby had a T-bone steak that was very flavorful. It came with generous potato and vegetable sides. I had a farmer's cheese pierogi and potato pancakes. Loved the pierogi, but expected more than 1 for $5.99. Potato pancakes were very good and served with both applesauce and sour cream. Yum! Very attentive service with the owner checking on us to make sure we were satisfied with our food. Bloomfields became our go-to for the Buffalo Bills post season. Its nothing crazy but a good place with some active people. Their menu is great, I love the concept of focusing on appetizers. They also have a secret polish menu where you can get polish tacos and those are so original and yummy! Everything I have ordered so far has been good. They also play the shout song for every bills score. Was such a fun experience! Service was pleasant and quick and the beer bucket prices are decently priced. The real MVP is their brownie a la mode. Stopped in to Bloomfield's because we were in the mood for a variety to fit everyone's taste. Once seated, we realized that Sunday has a limited menu but it was okay because we still wanted one of everything. We ordered the chicken wing dip, the little mini tacos, the Mac and cheese bites, and the mini clams. The chicken wing dip came out really quick but the chips were extremely stale. We waited a few minutes for the waitress to come around so we could set some fresh chips, but it didn't look hopeful. Thankfully the chef came out and asked how we were doing. We had a fresh batch of cups within a minute. The rest of our food came out but we were missing the cheese sauce for the Mac and cheese bites, and we needed plates. So we waited. I think the chef came back out again to check up on us and we asked about the cheese sauce. Poor guy had no idea what we were talking about. I had to point it out on the menu and he said he's never heard of the Mac and cheese bites coming with cheese sauce, but could throw something together for us (which he did). Waitress finally comes back around and agrees with the chef that she's never heard of the cheese sauce either. We take this opportunity to ask for a refill on water. She swings back around 10-15 minutes later and we had to ask for the bill, and for the refill again. More than likely won't be back. read more

This place has a lot to offer as a local pub with a large menu. This is a great spot for apps and drinks. They just need to tune it up a little. The stuffed banana peppers were huge and the filling around the sausage was delicious, but too sausage heavy, which isn't my style. They won a full star for having tons of gluten free options - however my chicken tenders contained one raw tender, which of course was the first one I into. The correction attempt was to bring me another finger but it never arrived, so I was given a couple drink tokens. This was a nice gesture but the fingers should have been removed from the bill - once you bite a raw chicken, you don't exactly feel enthused about eating more. That being said I would go back for the gluten free options. It's nice to have a place that accommodates dietary needs. read more

We visited at around 5pm on a Saturday night for my mom's birthday needing a table of 7. There is only one big table inside the restaurant, which was already taken; the hostess went to speak with the owner and he said we could sit on the heated patio as long as we could be done by 630 for a party they had coming in. My mom is gluten free and Bloomfield's, by far, has the most gf options I have seen on a nenu of a restaurant that was not exclusively gf. Great for my mom to have so many options, but, at the same time,horrible that she had so many things to choose from haha. I have to note our waitress was new, like brand new, first day on the job. We ordered two blooming onions, a French onion soup and stuffed mushrooms for apps. Polish tacos, a Polish sandwich (gf), 2 mac & cheese, open faced roast beef and 2 polish platters for entrees. Our food came out a bit disorganized, but everyone seemed to enjoy their food with the exception of the golumpki... My brother said it tasted more like a stuffed green pepper than it did a golumpki. I loved the polish tacos! They came with goat cheese, which I was skeptical about how it would go with the kraut and polish sausage, but it was fantastic! My fries, however, were a bit underwhelming as they came out room-temp. I am also the one who ordered the french onion soup and it had never come out. When the owner came to check on us, I told him just to make sure it wasn't on the bill. He pretty much insisted I still needed to try it as her personally made it and I'm glad I did. It had the obligatory blanket of ooey-gooey cheese and had good flavor... Not too salty and not blah. He also still did not charge for the soup. Our monthly lunch group was excited to try this place, based on the widely varied menu and all the positive reviews. Perhaps lunchtime is not the best choice for that five-star experience. The place has a warm bar vibe. I bet it's jumping when there's live music or a game on. Our server was willing, but seemed to be running in a million different directions at once. She was sweet, and we're a patient bunch, so no problem there. I wasn't expecting a grand cru vintage, but was a tad disappointed to see that wine comes from those little single-serve plastic bottles. Oh, well. It's primarily a bar, not a dining establishment, so I should have expected it. I somehow managed to down two glasses. ; ) Quality of the food was all over the place. Roast beef was deemed dry, fish and chips just okay, meatball boat got rave reviews. I was thrilled to see clam strips on the menu. I've always loved them, and they're hard to find these days. Bloomfield's version comes with a thick batter, and some of the clam strips themselves were very thick as well. They were overcooked, but not to the point of being inedible. Another rarity? Steak fries! What a treat. For me, at least. Thank you for those, Bloomfield's. The coleslaw was weird - the cabbage was more ground up than shredded, which made for a soupy slaw. It tasted good though. The experience wasn't bad enough for me to say I'll never go back, but I would like to give it a try at a different time of day. They're on the right track, just need to work on consistency. And I'll keep an eye on their live music lineup. We tried this place after a recommendation off Find Me Gluten Free, and while I am not gluten free the food I had was pretty great. Having moved out of the area it isn't often we have selections for kielbasa or pierogi at a restaurant, let alone one that also caters to the rest of my family. My sister ordered the gluten free chicken finger sub and gluten free mozzarella sticks and loved them! The fettuccini Alfredo was actually amazing for what looks like a bar!!! This is a newly opened bar that says they are the home of the appetizer. A huge plus is their menu shows exactly what items are gluten free and they offer gluten free rolls, flatbreads, and pasta! I had to try one of their flatbreads and was very impressed by it - the pepperoni was perfect! My wife has had to eat more bland lately - glad it's not me! But the waitress was very kind and accommodating she opted for the salad with grilled chicken. I was very happy to see she didn't just get a couple of pieces of chicken but a whole breast! A table near us had gotten the polish platter that they raved about and I was very close to ordering so now I know I will next time! The bar prices are perfectly priced, $5.75 for a pint of Hayburner and $6 for a tall deep eddy vodka and water. Ok....this restaurant was recommended by a co-worker, because she knew someone in my family has celiac. It has a nice atmosphere inside, and pretty much the cleanest bathroom I've ever seen in my life. The gluten free options are insane... so many things to choose from. Everything from Flatbread, dips, wraps, fried foods. The fried foods have a dedicated gluten free fryer. This place is awesome! We got Chicken Ceasar wraps, gluten free hot pepper dip and chips, gluten free fried pickle spears, and gluten free grilled cheese bites with tomato basil dip. Everything was amazing.
