Fresh delicious bread
Karla S.

It was a perfect Saturday and on a whim we decided to go out for dinner. We were able to score reservations thru RESY on the patio. We had heard good things about this place and were excited to go. Our reservations were for 6:30. We got there about five minutes beforehand and people were still seated at our table. We went to the bar and ordered drinks and the bartender recommended that we order their famous meatball that is only made by the owner every few months, so when it's on the menu, you grab it. Once we were seated (only waited 10 minutes) we took his advice. Wow, he was right! Super fresh, bit spicy sauce, but chilled ricotta on the side which was perfect! The evening was so comfortable that we just enjoyed each dish as it came. Terrific waitress with good input into dish suggestions. Their risotto changes weekly and it was delicious. I was craving shrimp scampi and I was not disappointed, especially with the fresh bread for dipping. After a wonderful meal, we were surprised with a complimentary serving of two limoncello shots and Italian cookies. We left full and happy!

The food & appetizers were delicious - minus points for the chicken cutlets which tasted of old oil. The service was great we did not have to look around for our wait staff. We enjoyed the atmosphere as we were celebrating an occasion and it wasn't too quiet . We enjoyed a nice bottle of Chianti and left fully satisfied. Was a perfect place to eat as we were attending a show at the theatre across the street a bit.

Gnocchi Pomodoro

Got my gnocchi to go- so good! It's ricotta gnocchi so it's nice and light. Pomodoro sauce had a little spice to it, but manageable for someone who doesn't love spicy sauce. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Had a poinsettia cocktail from their holiday menu- perfect mix of champagne, orange liqueur and cranberry. Service was great- helpful staff. Ambience is intimate but family friendly.

Shrimp Pappardelle with Vegetable Cream Sauce

A great experience all around! Food was great! I got a special, Pappardelle with vegetable cream sauce and I added shrimp! Loved every bite. Exactly what I wanted! The server was great as well. She was so sweet and seemed excited to take our order, which was refreshing as the day before I had the opposite experience at a different restaurant. The place itself was nice. Hostess was pleasant. Bar was a bit slow, but that just meant our table got drinks faster. I'd definitely come back to try other menu items!

Peanut Butter Tort

Mom only turns 75 once so make it memorable which Frankie Primos did. We had the front table outside which fit our group of 11 (Brody included) nicely. Our server was attentive and did a great job of checking on some of the questions we had regarding then menu. A great lesson for any service job, if you don't know the answer, do not guess! Just go and ask someone from the kitchen, a customer would always rather wait for the correct answer. Started with with calamari, Mexican corn, arancini, and the "small" charcuterie board. Lots of tasty options and we finished almost everything. Arancini was moist with a great crispy crust that paired well with the sauce it was in. The board had a ton of options, little bit of this, little bit of that, plenty of sensuous salted meats to choose from which complimented the nice combination of soft and hard cheeses. More delicious olives please! Dinner choices included the Chicken Milanese, angel hair pasta, an eggplant special, pizza, some sandwiches, and the steak & tortellini. The empty plates indicated that everyone was well fed and satisfied with their meal. We did save room for dessert which was a perfect finish to a great evening. Some peanut butter torts and a variety of homemade gelatos got everyone the proper complement to their main course. And why not finish your experience with complimentary lemonchello shots? They kinda smell like Lemon Pledge and taste about as good, but it's a fun way to finish the evening. Seeing Mom do shots on her 75th birthday is something I'll never forget. Thank you Frankie Primos!

From the moment we walked in and made our way to our table, I knew that this place was going to be a winner. You can see the servers and food runners moving... constantly moving. The shop is big and spread out over a large area between the outdoor area, tented area and multiple rooms in the main building. Knowing the size of the portions from observing what they were serving and seeing the food on the other tables, I elected to go with the smaller portion of the Tagliatelle Funghi. This was a magnificent dish similar to an Alfredo sauce with lots of mushrooms. A definite yum!!! My wife had an Mozzarella & Tomato Panini... also wonderful. Our server was delightful and very attentive to our table to insure a great experience. You can see how the team works here as a cohesive group. I look forward to a return trip to sample some more of the food here. KUDO's to the team at Frankie Primo's +39

Limoncello shots

Amazing food, and amazing service. A little surprise at the end... a shot of lemon cello on the house. The bakery next-door, which is owned by the restaurant, provides all the breads, the cookies in the desserts.

Brunch Breakfast Pizza
Sarah K.

Was in the area and decided to do brunch here. We sat on the patio and the outside space is spacious and nice. The service was well, let's say just odd. I couldn't put my finger on it but it seemed anxiety ridden and all over the place and made for a non-relaxing experience. I kind of felt rushed and interrupted a lot, but at the same time ignored. Not to mention, we weren't offered another round of cocktails after brunch. The food and cocktails came out slow. My lemon drop martini kind of tasted like lemonade and had no kick at all, it maybe had a half shot in there if that. Disappointing to say the least for $13.00. The breakfast pizza had a lot of eggs on it and maybe one to two pieces of sausage on it per slice and one pepper per slice. We saw very little cheese on it if any and tasted none either. Lacked seasoning and flavor all around. We ended up dousing it with red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese. There's lots of future hope for this restaurant if they alter a few things and it seemed fully staffed. Next door is their gelato store and let me tell you it's amazing! I've had it before and it's divine.

Pizza is so delicious. Great Italian style. Customer service is also very good!…read moreWill 100% be coming back.

Wow. Hands down some of the best pizza we've had…read more We ordered the San Felice Pizza -- San Marzano tomatoes, house-made sausage, sweet and spicy peppers, onion, buffalo mozzarella, and fresh basil -- and it was absolute perfection. The flavors don't compete... they melt together into one big, perfect masterpiece. The peppers leaned sweet (no real heat), which made them the ideal companion to the delicious sausage. And that sausage? Made in-house and seasoned beautifully, with the perfect amount of fennel -- enough to give it that classic Italian character without overpowering the pie. Perfection! The buffalo mozzarella added creamy richness, the basil kept everything bright, and the San Marzano tomatoes were clean and balanced. We love pizza in all its forms -- New York style and Napoli alike -- but there is something about the rustic goodness of true Neapolitan pizza that has a special place in my pizza-loving heart. That airy, soft center and char-kissed crust from the wood-fired oven is magic. The use of such fresh ingredients makes Forno Napoli my favorite pizza on NY so far - authentic and intentional. There is a lot of love and pride in everything from the handmade crust to all of the toppings. They also serve a garlic butter and cheese dipping sauce for the crust -- indulgent and completely unnecessary in the BEST possible way. That blistered crust dipped in that sauce? Unreal. The cheese? Yes, they have the most beautiful wheel of pecorino they hand grate from to make this happen. No green shaker bottles here! We met Felix, the owner, and he was incredibly welcoming. He has such great energy -- warm, engaging, and clearly passionate. You can tell he's the heartbeat behind the recipes and the success of the business. It feels personal. He made us want to share just how great our entire experience was and he certainly made us want to return. Our only regret? We were too full to try another pizza. Do not hesitate. This truly is a slice of heaven.

I really wanted to like this place, they had a deal that was 2 for one spaghetti and meatball…read moredinners. As you can see it comes packaged beautifully! I really wanted to like this place.....the meatballs are horrible. They definitely aren't homemade, and they are a terrible store bought product because very chewy and awful taste. Their sauce is also very bland, all you can taste is a sour tomato taste. No garlic, no onion, no spices can be detected at all! As you can see they give a generous portion of garlic bread and yes it was good. I also have to give them credit I ordered through the slice app and put in comments for extra sauce on the side and they did it! So they definitely have execution down I think they just need to fine tune their product. Meatballs can be cheap to make in bulk, and come on you are an Italian restaurant! You gotta fix that sauce! I haven't tasted the pizza so I can't comment on that.
