Good 'ol dive bar located in NT. I had been told by a couple different people that they have the BEST wings, so I had to check them out! The wings were 10 for $12 or 20 for $21. For me, they weren't the best, but they were definitely top 3 material. Nice and crispy, but not too crispy and still juicy. They weren't huge, big a decent size nonetheless. The options were hot, medium or mild. My favorite is a hot BBQ, so I opted for the hot. They were flavorful and hot without burning your face off. Stopped in with friends for drinks and wings tonight after hearing some positive reviews; they weren't wrong. Quality drinks, and tasty wings- a Buffalo staple. Even in times of price surging for dining out, wings were $10.50 and drinks started at $4.00. Friendly bar tender, and locals at the bar; someone even bought us a round of drinks. Ordering food here is a bit unconventional as the bartender only tends bar, so they tell you to go to the kitchen and let the woman working back there your order and where you're sitting. A friend recommended I try the chicken wings to this place so I took my family here. The pace is your typical hole in the wall dive bar. Family owned and operated with many regulars keeping business going. You order food by sitting yourself at a table, going to the kitchen and placing your order with the cook then wait at your table and she will bring hthe food to your table when it is ready. We ordered wings, fried shrimp and fried cauliflower. We got a pitcher of soda and a draft beer. Beer was cool but not cold so became very foamy and flat much too soon. When the food arrived the fired shrimp and fried veggies were as expected, frozen food deep fried. They came with cocktail sauce and ranch dressings. Now the chicken wings were fried to perfection! Crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside. Sauce was very good and tasted homemade. The wings made the visit worth it as I don't eat wings too often so it was a great treat! Plump wings with good amounts of meat on them. Not like some restaurants that give you broken or skimpy sized wings. I wouldn't say it's the most kid-friendly establishment as profanities at the bar are plentiful as it is a pub. But the chicken wings are worth visiting, even if you stop in on your way home from work, drink a beer while waiting and get the wings to go!! This place is a hidden gem. Great bar food, amazing prices, and the drinks have a slightly heavy pour at very reasonable prices. I come here every time I'm in town. There are lots of TVs to show whichever game is on TV and lots of memorabilia and other interesting relics on the walls. It kind of had a dive bar feel, but better than a typical dive bar. Here's another place that would have been rated higher if the staff was more hospitable. We walked in here and was given the stink eye immediately. Sat down and looked around to see what kind of beer they had - bartender (wearing pajama pants) told us they aren't a "fancy" bar and they have what they have. There's no sign that says the place is cash only, with no ATM on site - luckily we had cash. We asked to order some wings and the bartender rudely said we had to talk to this woman standing on the other side of the bar to order. She shouldn't be allowed to talk to customers. She was rude and could care less if we ordered or not. If it was not for the wings, this place would be a one star. The wings were actually really good - crispy and extremely saucy. This is my favorite local place to go for wings and beers with my husband. It's an unassuming place filled with locals, the most real people you will ever meet. I think I love it here so much because it reminds me of my favorite corner bar in my old neighborhood. You'll always find a friendly face behind the bar. You won't find much of a menu, which is exactly the point. What you do want is the wings. They are perfectly crisp with the right amount of sauce. Nothing fancy here, but exactly what we Buffalonians like.....real wings.
