After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I went there to try the chicken wings that I have been hearing about and reading about for so long but I had no idea about thier poutine fries and just how outstanding they were. Honestly if you like that kind of thing it may be worth visiting this place just to try thier poutine fries. We ordered both Cajun wings and mild wings. The Cajun were outstanding, cooked to absolute perfection, these weren't the dry rubbed Cajun that I was used to having, I believe it was a Cajun butter sauce they were tossed in which was absolutely terrific and I would probably have them tied at first place out of all the Cajun wings I have tried so far. The mild wings were just as good and also cooked to perfection, I would say they are possibly top 2 for me. We also ordered the Guinness stout burger and the garlic bread. The garlic bread was pretty good, had a bit of spice to it. The Guinness burger was good had better but it was definitely good and would order it again. We had nice window seats and the staff was very attentive and friendly, as good as it gets pretty much. Very reasonably priced for sure, especially when you consider quality of what you are actually getting, definitely a good deal. Definitely need to get back there and try out their other wings. Check out the images here of the crispy Cajun wings and the poutine fries. 4.4 out of 5.

The smitty wings just tasted like mild buffalo sauce and the honey cajun was pretty good. My issue was with the "ranch" sauce because it tasted like straight horseradish and every bite left a bitter aftertaste. However, on this Saturday evening, me & some buds were in the mood to try anew! Anyway, Adolf's has a cool/great vibe and friendly patrons & staff. Very lively atmosphere overall (see pics). Wings were great as expected, & blue cheese A+. We also tried the fried mozz which was scrumptious too. The one ding is that we had to wait 2+ hours for a table due to unfortunate circumstances: 1). The back dining room was reserved for private event leaving only the modestly sized front/bar area, and a big party consumed 80% of those few tables. Also, there seemed to be almost zero bar seat turnover. 2). Two schmoes sat at our eventual two top for the entire two hours milking just ONE beer each... yep, one small sip per ~20 minutes. We chalked it up to bad luck, but the staff were apologetic to us, and eventually gave those two their check. When they finally left, we were beyond famished, so it was nice to finally sit & order wings after all that time!

The exterior is unassuming but easy to spot & the delightful interior was funky, fun & welcoming. Music wasn't insanely loud but was there & the number of interesting "charms" sprinkled throughout the establishment were a total gas. My favorite was the deconstructed Barbie parts displayed on small hooks at the end of the bar. The staff was lovely & came over to greet us in a timely manner. Assured us that they still had a late night menu & then we got to have THE BEST SPICY MARGARITAS EVER!!! The paninis were also yummy & we each got a piece of chocolate & a Dum Dum included on our plates for dessert. But seriously! The spicy margarita! Was absolute Fire I love spicy & am often disappointed if I'm trying a Spicy Marg out & about. Even if I ask for extra spicy...it never really is. But this guys Spicy Margarita was AMAZING!! Both myself & my husband (who doesn't love spicy like I do) were able to enjoy the drinks. They were spicy enough that I enjoyed them & the flavor profile was still balanced & delicious so my hubby was also a huge fan. Of all the places we got to try while in Buffalo, House of Charm was by far my favorite!
