This place is the ultimate Christmas bar with amazing cocktails and decorations that will have you singing Christmas carols. The ambiance is so festive and fun! The cocktails are pretty fabulous too. If this place doesn't get you into the Christmas spirit, then nowhere will.

This might be the coziest bar in Buffalo. We enjoyed sitting on the sofa and talking over cocktails. It's small, but doesn't feel small with plenty of seating at the bar and the lounge area. The drinks weren't our favorite, but we'd already been to dinner and only had one each. I had some sort of jalapeño margarita that was low on heat, and tasted like mild salsa. Service is good. The noise level is perfect. No problems carrying on a conversation. Just a great vibe overall. I look forward to coming back and trying other drinks.

It was really really pretty in there! Just a little tidy, so we couldn't get any food because he had to stand. It's a little pricey for how much you get in your drinks, but it's definitely worth it for the experience of being in a Christmas decorated bar.

Tried this place 3 times. The cocktails are just not ever good, and at $14 a drink that's unfortunate. Won't be returning. 6 cocktails came out to $90 + tip on top of them being subpar.

This is the ultimate Christmas spot in Buffalo! It's absolutely covered in holiday decorations from head to toe. The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were pretty good. They are keeping their decorations up for a bit longer so there is still time to check it out. So fun and festive!

Nowhere Lounge is a Midcentury Modern retro/tiki lounge that looks as if it fell right out of Austin or Portland or any of the more westerly hipster meccas. That's not at all an insult, and probably what they're going for. Check the photos, but they've got the design aesthetic going on. It's packed at happy hour and on weekends, which clearly indicates that they're found a niche, and I find the place a good measure less pretentious than some of the othe cocktail lounges in town (e.g. High Violet). The cocktails were reasonably priced, attractive and well-balanced and there's even a shot-and-beer special to give it all a bit more working-class-Buffalo curb appeal. Service was solid. I did not find the food value to be on par with the rest of the experience, but that's not a deal-breaker, and I would definitely return.

Did I die and go to the 70's?! This is a swanky new hot spot in the Kenmore neighborhood that is bound to become a fan favorite of mine. Nowhere Lounge is quite literally a retro heaven. Built with Grandpa's basement in mind, this bar serves up new and classic cocktails (and select beers) sure to make you feel like you're actually on That 70's Show. Cocktails are fairly priced and absolutely delicious. I had the Betty Peach while I was here, and tried an Old Fashioned - both absolutely delicious. I think this place has a ton of appeal and am very much looking forward to coming here for the drinks and atmosphere again soon!

This was a great last minute decision! Although we didn't get to stay long, the ambience is wonderful with the dj and the lighting. Our bartender/server was super nice and accommodating so we'll definitely be back. The space isn't large but we sat at the bar with no issues, had some great cocktails and snacks. We're coming back for the charcuterie board lol

We were able to stop in for a drink while we were in the area to go to black iron for dinner. I've been wanting to check out this unique cocktail bar so this was the perfect spot to visit before dinner. The ambiance is a cool retro 70's vibe and everything in here plays into the theme. The drinks were amazing, well crafted and unique. I tried black pearl which I really enjoyed. This is the second cocktail I've had recently that utilizes sesame flavor, which is a delicious and rich flavor profile that more people need to try. We had such a good time that we stopped back in after dinner and there was a magician there. He did some pretty amazing tricks and it was quite a treat to be entertained before we headed home for the night. Service was very good. We will be back soon.

Another great stop at Nowhere Lounge! This time we stopped in on a Monday and caught a tiki night! Great themed drinks, a live record spinning dj, and tropical bird watching in the TV . Bartenders are friendly and happy you came in the door. The drinks are always made so so well with great flavor combinations. Place is always clean and welcoming. Will of course be returning again and again!

I've never eaten here and they do have an ample snack menu, but the real stars are the drinks and ambience. You'll often be served by the owner Jason, but all the staff are just as trained on making the complex and balanced cocktails. The location is peppered with carefully selected and ambience-building furnishings and decor. Cozy bar seats and alligator pattern trimmed bar welcome you to sit. Travels and couches are available for a lounge-ier experience. There is nothing like it anywhere else in Western New York.

Where would Ron Burgundy from Anchorman frequent ? Definitely this 70s themed bar . Swanky, well crafted cocktails available and your favorite 1970s slow jams playing . They also carry beer, wine and other choices if a fancy $12 cocktail is not your thing . I had a permanent smile on my face the whole time I was here . The staff made you feel like you were at home , one where your "ladies man" Uncle might have lived in ! Just check it out !

There's a new contender for best bar in the 716, and it looks like the set of That 70's Show. When I first read about Nowhere Lounge, I knew I'd have to check it out ASAP. I'm a sucker for a themed bar, and their drink menu seemed to be stellar. I met a friend here at 7 on a Saturday evening, and it was already pretty packed (definitely a good sign) -- but we were able to snag a table. There is absolutely so much to look at here, they nailed the 70's vibe and you can tell that they did their due diligence in sourcing vintage decor. I opted for the Paloma offered on their cocktail menu and it was delicious. Not too sweet, not too strong, it was my ideal drink! My friend enjoyed her drink as well, the "Oh Honey" with gin instead of rum. They offer a few light bites on their menu too, though we didn't indulge this time. I will absolutely be back here! The theme is done so well and the drinks are delicious. What more could you ask for?

Excellent atmosphere and bartender. The drinks are fantastic and unique. This would be my neighborhood go to bar if I lived closer.

It does tend to be a bit cramped when there's an event but weekdays are super laid back with a few customers at the bar. I love the themed menu that not only offers DELICIOUS cocktails, but also cider, mead, beer, etc, wine, non-alcoholic, and even cannabis drinks so there's something for everyone. I especially love that there's some snacks but they also allow outside food (and there's pizza next door!). The have a full bar with themed specialty drinks as well as hot loose leaf tea and small plates for a little snacky snack. The service was friendly, but quite slow... Especially since the bar was not particularly busy when we ordered. My friend got one of the specialty drinks, Bee Sting, made with Meade & draft cider, I got a hot tea and we split a fruit plate & nut plate. The water given with my tea was not hot enough to steep the bag; the bartender thanked me for letting him know and returned quickly with a fresh, hot, Halloween-themed cup. The fruit & nut plates had a good selection including banana chips, dried apricot, mango, cranberries, almonds, pistachios and cashews. They were the perfect amount for snacking while having a drink & gabbing. The bathroom was very cooly decorated with a skeleton on the ceiling enrobed in spider webs and a crow that cawed at me when I opened the door. I wish I would have taken a pic! Would I rush back, probably not; but, I would go back again if I happened to be in the area. It's definitely a place to check out at least once!

Living in Buffalo several years now, I've never been out to Hertel Ave to grab food and drinks -…read moreSurprising, I know! Thanks to a Yelp Elite event on Hertel Ave., I FINALLY changed that with a fantastic late dinner at The Burning Buffalo Bar & Grill. One of the main reasons I don't like to go out in Buffalo is parking - I'm always anxious about finding a spot that's close to where I'm going, as well as not having to pay for it. It was 7:45pm on a Tuesday, so street parking was free so one obstacle down, and amazingly, I managed to park right in front of The Burning Buffalo Bar & Grill, but across the street - I'll take it! Upon walking inside, there were a few tables outside full of people having dinner and drinks with one waitress managing all of it. I walked in and was surprised how big, spacious it was. First order of business though was hitting the restroom, which was on the small side, but clean. After that, I grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was a young, pretty woman who was very personable. Unsure of what to grab for a drink, she asked what beers I usually go for and with that, she was fired off a few beers on draught I might like. I settled on the Jack's Abby Post Shift Pilsner and enjoyed sipping on that the rest of the night. She handed me the food menu and took care of a few other customers while I figured out what I wanted. I got it down to two items and I asked her for her recommendation, which was excellent and how I'd order, if and when I make it back. But similar to what other reviews on Yelp say, the atmosphere was very much like a neighborhood bar and grill, where everyone knows each other and if they don't know you, they're still more than willing to let you hop in and out of the conversation. I felt very comfortable sitting and listening to the "regulars" chat, watching a baseball game on the TVs behind the bar. So for dinner, I decided on ordering their Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich which is topped with lettuce, tomato, sriracha mayo, and cheddar cheese, with pickles underneath between a soft, brioche bun with a side of hand cut fries and a pickle spear on the side. The bartender recommended swapping out the cheddar cheese with pepperjack cheese, an awesome swap! The size of the fried chicken breast was HUGE by itself! I was so impressed how the well the sandwich held together as I devoured it. The chicken was hot, not greasy at all. The lettuce and tomato tasted fresh and looked crisp, there was plenty of that pepperjack cheese on top the chicken and pickles underneath. The sriracha mayo was excellent, albeit I would've liked more of it, I think more would've made the sandwich messy and hard to handle, so it really was the right amount on there. The hand cut fries were great as well; Crispier on the ends and softer in the center but plenty hot and not over seasoned. If you've seen other reviews of mine, you'll get the sense I have a pretty big appetite so I was able to demolish the sandwich but I couldn't finish all my fries, so that should be enough to tell you the portions here are HUGE and AWESOME! At first glance, the prices look expensive but I think they're justified as the quality and portions are phenomenal, I certainly felt I got my money's worth. I'm so happy that after several years of living in Buffalo, I made it over to Hertel Ave. finally! I'm also glad I chose The Burning Buffalo Bar and Grill for dinner. The quality and quantity of food, the friendly neighborhood atmosphere, the personable staff, what more can you ask for? I can't wait to come back and grab another Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich or maybe give their North Buffalo Cheesesteak a try!

The refrigeration and freezer is across the room so the staff has to continually go across the room to get ingredients for drinks and food.
