Have been wanting to check this place out for a long time. We walked in on a Monday night and loved the atmosphere from the start. Very chill. It seemed like there were a lot of regulars sitting at the bar watching the Sabres game. There was one bartender that was able to happily tend bar and make some snacks. People were friendly. We were happy to see that it was tiki night (Buffa loha) and ordered tiki drink specials. We also ordered the Brie bites which were phyllo dough brie snacks that were really good. Really cool vibes here! We wanted to go somewhere for drinks before dinner up in Kenmore and found our way here. If you want to travel back in time to the 70s, this is the place. We tried the old fashioned, betty peach, and radler paloma - all very tasty! And tried the burrata and olives as well. highly recommend both of those snacks as well! read more

This might be the coziest bar in Buffalo. We enjoyed sitting on the sofa and talking over cocktails. It's small, but doesn't feel small with plenty of seating at the bar and the lounge area. The drinks weren't our favorite, but we'd already been to dinner and only had one each. I had some sort of jalapeño margarita that was low on heat, and tasted like mild salsa. Service is good. The noise level is perfect. No problems carrying on a conversation. Just a great vibe overall. I look forward to coming back and trying other drinks. read more

I must have his 88MPH on Military Rd. somehow because I got to Nowhere Lounge and I was suddenly in a basement bar in 1981. It's wildly trippy and fantastic. And I can go around the entire place and say, "Wow, my grandmother had one of those when I was growing up... and one of those... and these are her drinking glasses!" Yeah, it's so vintage they even serve drinks in vintage glassware. Limited food menu, but you're probably not there for eating. You're there to relax in a cool, sweet atmosphere that will make you want to listen to the Bee Gees and probably do a lot of other things you weren't old enough to do during that era. But you probably shouldn't. They shouldn't have either. Man, times were wild back then.... The service was good. The friends I was there with said the drinks were great. I don't drink so I'll take their word for it. Worth the visit if for nothing else than to find yourself out of place and out of time. read more

Nowhere Lounge is a Midcentury Modern retro/tiki lounge that looks as if it fell right out of Austin or Portland or any of the more westerly hipster meccas. That's not at all an insult, and probably what they're going for. Check the photos, but they've got the design aesthetic going on. It's packed at happy hour and on weekends, which clearly indicates that they're found a niche, and I find the place a good measure less pretentious than some of the othe cocktail lounges in town (e.g. High Violet). The cocktails were reasonably priced, attractive and well-balanced and there's even a shot-and-beer special to give it all a bit more working-class-Buffalo curb appeal. Service was solid. I did not find the food value to be on par with the rest of the experience, but that's not a deal-breaker, and I would definitely return. read more

This was a great last minute decision! Although we didn't get to stay long, the ambience is wonderful with the dj and the lighting. Our bartender/server was super nice and accommodating so we'll definitely be back. The space isn't large but we sat at the bar with no issues, had some great cocktails and snacks. Did I die and go to the 70's?! This is a swanky new hot spot in the Kenmore neighborhood that is bound to become a fan favorite of mine. Nowhere Lounge is quite literally a retro heaven. Built with Grandpa's basement in mind, this bar serves up new and classic cocktails (and select beers) sure to make you feel like you're actually on That 70's Show. Cocktails are fairly priced and absolutely delicious. I had the Betty Peach while I was here, and tried an Old Fashioned - both absolutely delicious. I think this place has a ton of appeal and am very much looking forward to coming here for the drinks and atmosphere again soon! read more

We were able to stop in for a drink while we were in the area to go to black iron for dinner. I've been wanting to check out this unique cocktail bar so this was the perfect spot to visit before dinner. The ambiance is a cool retro 70's vibe and everything in here plays into the theme. The drinks were amazing, well crafted and unique. I tried black pearl which I really enjoyed. This is the second cocktail I've had recently that utilizes sesame flavor, which is a delicious and rich flavor profile that more people need to try. We had such a good time that we stopped back in after dinner and there was a magician there. He did some pretty amazing tricks and it was quite a treat to be entertained before we headed home for the night. Service was very good. We will be back soon. read more

I've never eaten here and they do have an ample snack menu, but the real stars are the drinks and ambience. You'll often be served by the owner Jason, but all the staff are just as trained on making the complex and balanced cocktails. The location is peppered with carefully selected and ambience-building furnishings and decor. Cozy bar seats and alligator pattern trimmed bar welcome you to sit. There's a new contender for best bar in the 716, and it looks like the set of That 70's Show. When I first read about Nowhere Lounge, I knew I'd have to check it out ASAP. I'm a sucker for a themed bar, and their drink menu seemed to be stellar. I met a friend here at 7 on a Saturday evening, and it was already pretty packed (definitely a good sign) -- but we were able to snag a table. There is absolutely so much to look at here, they nailed the 70's vibe and you can tell that they did their due diligence in sourcing vintage decor. I opted for the Paloma offered on their cocktail menu and it was delicious. Not too sweet, not too strong, it was my ideal drink! My friend enjoyed her drink as well, the "Oh Honey" with gin instead of rum. They offer a few light bites on their menu too, though we didn't indulge this time. I will absolutely be back here! The Nowhere Lounge opened up about 3 months ago in Kenmore, NY. It's owned by Jason, who previously bartended at Vera's and Misuta Chow's, and his wife. This cocktail bar will transport you back to the 1970s and make you feel like you're on the set of That's 70s Show. The bar is composed of a long bar table with about 16 or so squishy turn chairs as well as lounging chairs along the walls. It is on the smaller side, but that is part of the charm. The bar is more intimate and makes you feel like you're having drinks in a relative's basement. The menu is small but well composed. There are about 6 house cocktails, 3 appetizers, and 6 beers. You can acquire with the bartender about drinks off the menu. Jason is super friendly so feel free to ask him anything! He loves to talk about drinks and mixology. Came to Nowhere Lounge to check it out. Yheres no real signage but its on the corner directly across from Fatty Beer Co. The vibe is different and very chill. I expected Burt Reynolds to guide me to the bathroom. Adam the bartender was nice. There are 2 TVs. 1 had a retro spiral graph design that went with the music. The other screen had different color jelly fish. And then their was some other things that felt like I should be on shrooms. We each got 1 cocktails. They were good. My only grip would be size of the space, very small. Since, this is the new/cool bar to check out in the area each time I have went, I was unable to get a seat- not at the bar, side tables, couches- NOWHERE (No Pun Intended), so I weirdly just stand/squashed somewhere behind people which does not make the experience pleasant. I imagine soon it will calm down and would be more of a chill spot. Esthetics- cool, def. Instagram worthy photos to be taken. Cocktails- Alright, but as a vodka drinker- not really my cup of tea as that was scarce in the specialty cocktail section BUT they do have a regular bar where you can order from. An absolute gem of a bar. I happened upon Nowhere while passing through Buffalo on my way east and it was like winning the lottery! Even though I was out by myself I felt entirely welcome and comfortable. The decor of the bar was fantastic (as advertised) but also had an extra burst of holiday cheer with Xmas lights and crackling fires on the TVs. The patrons caught that vibe and added to it - everyone seemed in high spirits and packed the place from the front windows all along the bar and back into the comfy "conversation pit" towards the back. And the cocktails! For a list perhaps a dozen drinks long it really covered some ground, to the point that I'm confident that everyone has a future favorite somewhere on it. I tried a pair of whiskey cocktails that were tremendous examples of balance and nuance, with a backbone of booziness. Each had its own flourishes of fruit bitters and syrups that managed to tame the beast just enough to befit the establishment. The owner/bartender was also locked in on crafting his wonderful drinks but still made time enough to engage his customers, the final touch that made the whole experience feel like a holiday house party as opposed to a bar. Oh and as he mentioned on my way out the door - Nowhere Lounge also show Bills games! Now you don't have any excuses. Not that you needed one. read more
