Popped in here on a whim and I have to say we really this establishment -very welcoming atmosphere, open airy lay out. We sat at the bar and both of the bartenders who served us were great. Cocktails were very nicely crafted and delicious, definitely had some variety. For food we opted to get some buffalo wings and they were quite good! Properly crispy flavorful, not overly "hot" but nice and the blue cheese dressing accompanying was phenomenal. Definitely enjoyed and will recommend. read more

So, I wasn't a fan of their last spot in the old Dave & Busters but this place is very cool and I'm happy they moved! The space is large, they have their own parking lot on Hertel and garage doors to open when Buffalo's warm weather hits. Great employees, good drinks, fun music and the decor is modern and fun. read more

Terrible service at the Hertel location. We came in for a quick beer before a movie and weren't even offered menus. Sat at the bar for ten minutes and still no acknowledgment. I visited here with my husband on a rainy Thursday evening and found a very welcoming place with friendly people. Since it was our first time here, we were very impressed with the size of the venue and the games available. They offer Cornhole, Can-Jam, and others. They even have a working bowling alley! This would be a great place to hold an event, with plenty of space and lots of available restrooms. We enjoyed the refreshing beer and tasty food that we chose. We had the smash burger and mozzarella cheese sticks. Both were very well prepared and delicious. I stopped here yesterday with a close friend for Steel Leaf Brewing's first anniversary party. I wasn't a big fan of any of the beers that I tried. I had a full pint of their cookie stout. It wasn't as dark as I would have liked. My second drink was the blackberry orange bourbon sour and I loved it! I ordered the jalapeño pretzel. It came with jalapeno filling inside it and was deep friend. It had a nice mustard to dip it in. My friend ordered their sidewinder fries. They were squiggly, thick, and great! They came with a ketchup and two other dipping sauces, one of which was barbecue-ish and was quite good. It had I have been here two prior times as well. My first time here was with friends for drinks and light food. My second time here with about a month ago, when the brewery brought their brunch back. I remember that I liked the beer I had that day, and the mixed drink, but the portion size on the food was a little lacking. First time here! The GPS takes you to the wrong part of the mall. It's at the end next to JC Penny! The space is pretty big, there's corn hole set up in one area, and possibly a bowling alley? They have a cute little shop in the corner and their clothing feels like it might be super comfy. We were the only people in the whole place, which was very surprising to me. The server/bartender was great. Kept herself busy but was attentive at the same time. Drink selection was pretty small (only 7 beers), but it rotates. I'll be back to try more when new ones come out! Chipotle mayo? Was on the burger.. Not spicy but adds more depth of flavor to the burger. Very cheesy too! Fries 2/10 Little soft. Could be cooked longer. Kinda remind me of burger kings. Loaded tater kegs 10/10 Crispy outsides, cheesy bacon potato insides. You can taste the bacon pretty well actually! The chipotle aioli dipping sauce is very good, but a little too spicy for me to eat with every single bite, but boy would I love to! Maybe today since it's St Patrick's Day weekend and there was a craft show going on was not the best choice for our first (and last) visit. When we were seated and given the very limited menu we considered leaving and should have. We asked if that was it for the menu and were told yes because of the event going on. There were maybe five choices for appetizers and another five for entrees. My husband and I both ordered the chicken fingers and fries. Nothing special. Definitely not made from scratch. When we ordered I asked if she needed to know how we wanted the fingers and she replied that they're usually served plain but they could put sauce on them. They were rubbery. The absolute worst part of the visit was the bathroom! Disgusting!! There is one unisex bathroom available. It clearly has not been cleaned in quite some time. The toilet had a urine line down the front of it. How do they function with one bathroom, one toilet? I did walk around hoping to find another, which I did but it had a closed sign. Walking through the mall and came accross this brewery! Inside the old Dave and buster location, This brewery newly opened features a unique selection of house made brews and delicious eats. We had a flight of Jalapeño wheat, honey ale, Friday haze IPA and mango lime sour. I'm not a beer person, but these beers were so full of flavor without the bitter after taste I usually get with beers. Highly recommend the jalapeño wheat! Taste and smells like a jalapeño without the spicy burn. The fries were delicious and I loved the housemade dipping sauces. This place definitely has a long way to go but the potential is there. It's a huge space where an arcade once was, once you walk through the remains of the arcade you will reach the bar. Looks like they plan on setting up bar type outdoor games like Kan Jam and corn hole. If you want to try interesting beer fusions give this place a go! read more

My friend hosted a party here and it was a huge entertaining area. Tons of parking and right off transit. They did catering, drink tickets, and access to bowling, cornhole, and large can pong. I had their strawberry lemonade Pilsner- great beer for summer! Bartender was super nice and quick, and they kept water available for self service to keep everything going smoothly. I noticed they had Hartman's liquor available for mixed drinks- love a good local collab. The space is absolutely huge so there is room for more because right now it does feel a tad empty in the back. Catering was pleasantly good- tater tot bar and make your own chicken sandwiches were delish but the pretzel bites were almost too hard to eat unfortunately. I did enjoy the pub mustard and queso though! Looking forward to returning and making another review on a meal/drinks there in the regular portion of the brewery! read more

Steel Leaf Is a relaxed place to kick back after work or when meeting with a group of friends. There is tons of space so no need to worry about a reservation or waiting for a seat. The bar itself is very large with seating on both sides. The restaurant opens on the mall in addition to the entrance from the parking lot. There is also a large outdoor patio and a large room filled with corn hole boards. I had a flight and enjoyed all the beers, especially the "secret sauce". The burger was juicy and fresh. Looking forward to coming back and bringing more people. read more

So glad me and Ryli got to stop in with our pal Linda to check out this huge new brewery in the old Dave & Busters at Eastern Hills Mall. We regrettably forgot to walk around and check out the entire place before we left but we had a great time chatting, drinking flights, and enjoying some charcuterie. The beers were absolutely delicious and we enjoyed all of them, which I was actually surprised by with this being a brand new establishment. I would have ordered a full beer if any of them but I was especially surprised at how much I enjoyed their newest brew, the jalapeno wheat. It was spicy without actually being spicy if that makes any sense lol! The peach IPA & mango lime sour were also delish. Our friend Linda tried the orange wheat which was also delish. I did think the charcuterie was overpriced at $23 but we enjoyed it nonetheless. I would like to try some more menu items next time we go. We will definitely be back for these delicious beers and to hopefully enjoy their bowling and corn hole as well! It wasn't too busy when we got there at 5:30 but I'm hoping business will pick up with them getting their name out there! This place has a ton of potential, given its location and size. We have visited on a few occasions now, and each time, we thoroughly enjoy the snacks available including the pretzel the cacciatore, and the mozzarella sticks. It's nice how they have corn hole games available for guests to play, as well as bowling. The actual space needs some work, but that will all come in time I am sure. This is such a cool place!!! New brewery setup in an old Dave and busters location so there is plenty of room for activities. They even have a small 4 lane bowling alley! They have indoor Cornhole and volleyball pong. Plenty to do to keep you busy! They do have a limited selection of beers on tap but after talking to the bartender, they have more shortly coming. Including a sour! If they have the brown ale on tap, I highly recommend, it's dark but tastes like a lighter beer with lots of flavor. The bathrooms are kind of gross though, I gotta be honest. They smell like a high school swim locker room. There is still a lot of renovating I'm assuming they are planning to do so I'm looking forward to what this place becomes! read more

My spouse and I drove nearly an hour to meet friends for dinner and drinks on trivia night. We enjoy small / local breweries in general and was excited to make it out to check the place out. The business is in the former Dave and Busters space, and there seems to be a lot of empty / unused space. Where the games were in the old facility had a false wall, so the space was cut in half. We questioned the waitress about the brewery / business / space and she made it sound like the place might close at any time. Based on the staffing and frequency of visits to the table, I agree with the staff we spoke with. The restrooms were kind of gross, I had to 'jiggle' the handle for the toilet to flush and had to ask the staff to re-stock paper towels. I had 2 beers, a Pilsner and an IPA and both we okay. Since I had a long trek back home, I didn't explore the beer menu as much as I'd have liked. The people I was with really like the Cherry Wheat which only came in a can. The food was underwhelming. My burger was advertised as a smash burger, but was a thick and cooked well done. They didn't ask when I ordered because smash burgers are cooked differently, just feels like it was a regular burger. I got chips, my spouse got fries for sides and they were both fine. When we got the bill, I was shocked to see it was $97 (with built in tip for parties of 6) for 2 burgers, 1 fry, 1 chips, 2 draft beers, and 2 unsweetened teas. I know things are expensive, but that total was unexpected and did not reflect the value of food and drink. I really wanted to like this place but the distance, quality, cleanliness, cost, and staff projection basically guaranteed we won't be back. There are too many quality breweries in the Buffalo Niagara region to settle. read more

Been here twice and both very weird experiences. First time was Dec 30 '22. My original plan was to go to Duffs for wings and college football. However when I got there it was 3 deep and the bar and everyone was having a great time listening to country music and watching college football on their many tvs. Not wanting to fight the crowd I went to Steel Leaf knowing the place is huge and I might be able to get a spot at the bar. To my disappointment I walk into Christmas music and Fail videos on the TV. No wonder the place was empty. They do nothing to attract and keep people coming back. I had one beer and left This place could do great if they attracted the right crowd. It was OK. For starters, Apple Maps takes you to the wrong place, so we had to ask around as there was not any obvious signage notating where this place was. When we got there, it was 6pm on a Friday which normally is one of the busiest times of the week, but this place was dead. I'm talking only one other table dining there for the majority of our time. This kills the vibe for me. When places are not busy, you start to wonder why. I think maybe it is just a bad location to have a brewery. There was live music when we were there. It was a saxophone player and he was playing many recognizable songs but it was very loud so we asked to move to the bar because I couldn't even hear myself talk. I am a musician and this was just off-putting for me it was so loud. Not the kind of vibe I'm going for to relax. I love live music but this was overpowering in my opinion. I would have preferred listening to Christmas music on the radio. The service was great (probably because they only had one other table) and the beer was great as well. We tried three different beers and enjoyed them all. The food was pretty good. We ordered a salad and burger and both thought they were good but not so good that we would go out of our way to come back. At least we can say we tried somewhere new! read more

Five stars for good beer and friendly people. Hefe and brown ales are both rare on local brewery menus but they have them here! And both were very good. We didn't eat anything since we were just stopping in to try beer but we will be back. The place is oversized for what they need but it gives you room to roam and not be on top of each other which is good these days. We sat outside, enjoyed the cold brews. Located in the eastern hills mall this brewery is huge. However it was also empty. six people on a saturday (630 pm) Stood at the bar for about 5 min before someone took my drink order. Used the restroom and it was very clean. There are cornhole tables located in the back and when we were on our way out a few people came to play. We took a walk past corn mole and there was another game being played and a few bowling lanes! I was not impressed with our beer but who knows. We will definitely come back to give them another try. I'll start by saying the food and drinks were great. However we have a very strange experience when we got there. We had a big group going on a Friday night so we made reservations just in case. When we get there, there is only one other person in the whole place sitting at the bar, not an employee in sight. We stand around for about 5 minutes really not sure what to do. We had reservations so they knew they should be expecting customers. Finally the guy at the bar turns to start to say something to us when three young women walk in from the mall entrance who turns out were the waitresses. From observing through our time there, it seems the guy sitting at the bar was maybe a manager or someone in a higher up position. I was shocked that he didn't acknowledge us at all and we didn't receive an apology from anyone. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful but I was definitely turned off. read more
