Went as a party of 2 for brunch on a Sunday. A little tricky as we found differing hours of operation online - ended up finding a post on their instagram that they opened at 11. Server was very friendly and attentive. Decent menu options including the $22 unlimited mimosas! Didn't feel rushed, food was tasty. Would return. Parking can be tricky downtown but there is street parking and some lots on Allen St.

Wanted to check out there Thursday night wing special and I was not disappointed. Not sure how long the promotion will run for, but right now they have 50 Cent wings and three dollar domestic bottles beer specials. For my wing choices that night, I got the Raspberry Bourbon BBQ, Garlic Parmesan, and Honey Sriracha wings. The Honey Sriracha ones the real standouts as they were the perfect balance of crispy and saucy (which I prefer). The wings were all good sized and I really appreciate it that they all had very distinctive taste profiles to for what they were. I enjoyed my meal at the bar and at the time they weren't to busy yet, but it did pick up as the evening continued on. Seems led like the bartender was the only person working in the front for a while, but he seemed to be handling all the incoming tables pretty well! Definitely looking forward to going back and trying some of the other wings on their menu. And would recommend checking them out on a Thursday night if you want a cheap and delicious meal.

    Steak Sandwich

This is the saltiest yet blandest food I've ever had. Everything was either overseasoned to the point where it was powdery (and the seasoning primarily being salt), especially the fries (huevos rancheros too) The sandwich was also overly salty, the steak being unevenly cooked with some parts being medium and other parts being well done. The steak was also very chewy. Also huevos rancheros didn't have enough sauce. The only redeeming thing about the place was the mimosas and maybe the sweet stuff might be better but we didn't try it.

I came to Falley Allen for a business brunch meeting. At first thought when walking in I loved the ambience of the space. Our waiter was very nice as we ordered. We went around noon so we had a condensed menu that only had a fraction of what was typically available there during later hours. I ordered the breakfast hash which came with hash, peppers, onions, cheddar cheese, sunny side up egg and my choice of chorizo. I was super excited for this to come out! Upon arrival it looked amazing. The egg was cooked to my liking and it was loaded with cheese and chorizo. But when digging in to eat I noticed it was extremely dry and a bit hard. Wanting to find a way to enjoy it I asked my waitress for some type sauce or creamy cheese I could add to the dish. The only option she had was ketchup (which I don't enjoy) or to check to see if the house made queso had been prepared for the day. But upon checking she let us know that it was not ready and walked away. I literally called her over 3 more times after receiving little to no options. Instead of finding a solution, she simply would walk away each time I asked for an addition that wasn't available. Finally a manager was called over and she offered to exchange my dish for something else. Which was the bacon and home fries plate. But to be honest, that dish was also dry and hard. I'm guessing that perhaps they had a bad day in the kitchen on this particular day and I would be willing to give it another try during a time when the full menu is available.

Came here for dinner on a Friday evening. I was surprised how few people were here around 7pm. We sat right away and the service was good. Ordered a round of drinks from the bar and placed our food order for the bacon jalapeño popper dip, steak sandwich, and Mac and cheese. Loved that the dip came with bread and chips, the chips however were stale so we stuck with the bread. Steak sandwich and the mac and cheese were really good! Again, surprised there weren't more people here, but I bet it gets busy later in the evening.

Crispy Bao Buns with short ribs

Came here for a trivia night and the vibes were really great! The service was good too-- the DJ was pretty entertaining. As for the food, it was really pricey and I didn't enjoy what I got, it was the crispy bao buns with short ribs-- the ribs were super salty and the boa was pretty crispy; however I don't think it was worth $16. The beer was pretty cheap and I'd probably come back again for the drinks.

I came here for brunch for a friend's birthday with 10 people total in our party. I shared the breakfast pizza and french toast with a friend. We were blown away with how tasty the breakfast pizza was! It was on a wood fired tasting crust with lots of Italian sausage, eggs, peppers, onions and cheese. The french toast was delicious and would be good to order for someone who wants something sweet. My only complaint was the service was terrible. We waited for a long time without seeing any servers in site. Not sure if they were short on staff or because we had a larger sized table. I think it would be worth coming back based on the quality of the food and hope the service will be better in the future.

    Crimini Mushroom Flatbread Pizza

We wanted a quick takeout dinner, but were sick of our usual places so we decided to try Falley Allen. It's within walking distance and we had heard good things. It worked out perfectly. We shared the "Billy Ogden's" Stuffed Banana Peppers appetizer and the Crimini Mushroom flatbread.  I was initially a little disappointed when I opened the flatbread box. There was just something a little lackluster looking about it. But the flavors and textures more than made up for that! The crust is the perfect combination of chewy, soft, and crisp...all together. The goat cheese and mushrooms were delicious and everything was perfectly seasoned. They have several other flatbreads on the menu that I'm super confident in trying now. The stuffed peppers appetizer was also delicious and the portion was generous. They came on top of toasted bread and topped with melted cheese. I'm so glad we finally tried Falley Allen, and that we loved it. Everything was absolutely delicious. A really great option in the neighborhood! We can't wait to dine in soon.

I love the ambiance of this place! I've only been here for drinks at night so I was excited to come here for brunch. I didn't make a reservation so we got seated at the bar immediately. I ordered the breakfast pizza because it looked interesting. My friends ordered the steak sandwich and we got the red velvet waffles to share. They also have $20 unlimited mimosas if you buy an entree. Their mimosas are the bomb! Super strong and really hits the spot. I loved my pizza! I thought the chorizo and eggs complemented each other. My friends said their steak sandwich was also really good. The waffles were a disappointment though. I didn't taste the red velvet flavor and the waffles were a little dry. Overall, I thought the food was still decent and j would come back and try the benedict!

First review in a while- first time here at falley allen. Very welcoming at the front door. Place looked clean and tables were pretty far apart. Our table for 4 was comfortable. This is an upscale pub with great food. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars is i kinda save that for fine dining. Apps- had the poutine and peppers. Billy ogdens Peppers were excellent. Somehow as the hot sauce freak i always choose the mildest one Cheesy tasty and still just a bit of snap in the pepper. Poutine had slabs of beef on it and was delicious. Maybe a bit lite on cheese curd but worth the order. I split the fried chicken sandwich and the ipa burger. I edited the burger to get the cheese baked roll. Cooked perfectly. Seasoned well. Chicken was tender and juicy. Had good flavor and crispy af on the outside. Slaw with sirracha was a nice touch. They were out of the brussels i really wanted so i doubled down on roasted cauliflower. Very smokey and maybe a hint of charcoal. Hint of salt. Loved them. The service was excellent. ambiance terrific. Prices decent. I really like this place!

I really like the ambiance in this joint, and I like that they offer brunch on Sundays until 3 pm. My friends and I had reservations for 2:30pm and the table was set, and we sat. Unfortunately, it was just us, a table of 6, and two women at the bar. It was surprising that there weren't more people, especially since the Bills game was on the television behind us, and it was a large television. I ordered the Bloody Maria, which is a Bloody Mary, but made with tequila. I love tequila, and I liked the change in alcohol. Try a bloody Mary with tequila next time. I went with the Falley Slam Breakfast. It included 2 eggs (I ordered mine scrambled), toast, fruit, bacon, potatoes and sausage. Everything was delicious. It was a $12 plate, which is a pretty good deal for all of that food. My friends ordered brunch pizza, the egg sandwich, and the steak sandwich. The food all looked good and I definitely have to go back to try that steak sandwich.

    Lemon blueberry pancakes
    Daevina C.

I had brunch at Falley Allen recently. I had braised short ribs huevos rancheros and my friend had lemon blueberry pancakes. Service was great. The waiter frequently checked in and was attentive. The atmosphere was cozy. Depending on how noisy the crowd is it may be difficult to carry on a conversation. Food was great. The short ribs were extremely tender. (Missing in the picture but the waiter rectified this after we brought it to her attention). The combination of all the flavors in the huevos rancheros really complemented each other. The lemon blueberry pancakes were the perfect level of lemon. My only complaint being that the texture was a little off for me. Certain parts were too mushy/powdery flavoured. And no it wasn't from syrup. But overall their menu options look good and I would visit again.

I sure do love fish fry.

There were only a few other guests during our stay and things began to pickup as we were leaving. In the past, later at night, we've walked by and the place is quite packed. If you like quiet intimacy and a deal on drinks and food happy hour is your golden time here. I almost hate to share this secret tbh. Don't go. Leave this for me haha. The drinks here are all delicious and lovingly made. Really superb cocktails that taste good. The food is pretty good. It is clearly prepared well and presented artfully. I do think that calling a burger, "A quest for heaven" and not having it be super memorable and mind blowingly flavorful is a miss. It's a good burger and I'd eat it again but it's not a craveable item and I hoped with such a small menu it would be amazing. The charcuterie is super generously portioned and the nduja add on is a huge portion of nduja. Get the charcuterie. The crab toast was good and I'd get it again. We want to try baked brie next time. We also tried the pistachio mousse dessert and it was very pretty but lacked a lot of pistachio flavor. A chocolate cup full of unflavored but rich whipped cream and a minuscule amount of pistachio flavored something that was holding the cup to the plate. We were mostly just confused by the name of the dish versus the experience. It was good just not pistachio mousse. We actually wondered if someone accidentally prepared it wrong. We were here for an anniversary and were given free champagne before our meal and offered more at the end which we declined because of all the other lovely drinks we'd had. The service was great, the staff were polite and informed about the menu and drinks and the bartenders made wonderful things. Will be trying Saint Neri again soon.

I feel like it has fine dining aspirations (and could totally nail it!) but just needs some small details to really reach it. Our food was great - perfectly cooked strip steak, chicken pot pie with the best buttery crust that I devoured and didn't leave feeling overly full. Crème brûlée that my husband said was one of the most flavorful custards he's ever had. Areas of improvement: the wall next to our table was all gouged up which, any other place I don't care (and it certainly didn't take away from the meal) but for a special occasion may be more noticeable. Olive tapenade was good but the baguette didn't seem fresh which is a shame being so close to so many great bakeries and the co-op. No small plates served with appetizer, no spoon with dessert, no steak knife with steak, bill wasn't accurate to order (I ordered a $37 item when I was told the pot pie was gone but they had another one left so I got what I wanted but CPP was $17 and the bill still had the more expensive item) NOW: these are such minor, minor things and I would hardly say took away from the meal meaningfully but for a Saturday night, just easy fixes to really elevate the experience. Bill was fixed quickly and all missing utensils appeared quickly, We'll be back for sure!

We have been to JTs several times together over the past few years. We live in the neighborhood and try to get out every 4-6 weeks. While the food and drinks have always been expensive, last night was just over the top terrible. The bartender didn't want to serve us (or anyone for that matter). As we walked up, she said loudly enough for several people to hear that she just wanted to close up and go home - the bar wasn't scheduled to close for at least an hour and the bar area was still full! I told her we would be quick and asked if it was too late to order food. She reluctantly admitted that the kitchen was open. To make things easier, I didn't even look at the menu and just ordered a simple pizza. The bartender was so rude to us and treated us as though we were bothering her. As I said before, we have been there many times in the past. The food and drinks have always been overpriced, but it is close to home and easy. Being "older" now, look for places that attract those of a similar age and that have good service; the price is less of an issue. We were always able to look past the fact that this restaurant is overpriced (it is just fancy pizza and pasta) due to the convenience factor. However, I cannot stress this enough the bartender was awful. She was unkind, unprofessional, and entitled. When we spoke to the manager, he just blindly stood behind the woman that had previously announced that she didn't want to be there. Well, I don't want to be there any more either. And I would urge the same of you. If you want great pizza, go to Daniela. If you want great pasta, go to Amici. The prices are better. The food is better. And they want to serve you.
