Come to Saint Neri for happy hour every day they're open 5-7. The decor is gorgeous and our experience on a Friday starting around 5:15 was quite lovely. There were only a few other guests during our stay and things began to pickup as we were leaving. In the past, later at night, we've walked by and the place is quite packed. If you like quiet intimacy and a deal on drinks and food happy hour is your golden time here. I almost hate to share this secret tbh. Don't go. Leave this for me haha. The drinks here are all delicious and lovingly made. Really superb cocktails that taste good. The food is pretty good. It is clearly prepared well and presented artfully. I do think that calling a burger, "A quest for heaven" and not having it be super memorable and mind blowingly flavorful is a miss. It's a good burger and I'd eat it again but it's not a craveable item and I hoped with such a small menu it would be amazing. The charcuterie is super generously portioned and the nduja add on is a huge portion of nduja. Get the charcuterie. The crab toast was good and I'd get it again. We want to try baked brie next time. We also tried the pistachio mousse dessert and it was very pretty but lacked a lot of pistachio flavor. A chocolate cup full of unflavored but rich whipped cream and a minuscule amount of pistachio flavored something that was holding the cup to the plate. We were mostly just confused by the name of the dish versus the experience. It was good just not pistachio mousse. We actually wondered if someone accidentally prepared it wrong. We were here for an anniversary and were given free champagne before our meal and offered more at the end which we declined because of all the other lovely drinks we'd had. The service was great, the staff were polite and informed about the menu and drinks and the bartenders made wonderful things. Will be trying Saint Neri again soon. read more

I really liked this place. It was not at all what I expected. I really enjoyed the whole experience. I didn't know what to expect when I peeked at the menu but I was open and I was not disappointed. Cause those chairs are not for big backs. I found myself praying over more than the food. That being said it was so freaking nice. The drinks did not disappoint. I LOVED my drink called the Black Widow. My husband had the Negroni and he loved his drink as well The part my husband was most excited for which I didn't know until we sat down was the food. He has always LOVED any and every dish from Chef Gedra. Apparently I have too but my husband is a true fan of his dishes and lo es to see the food he creates. For dinner I had Nonna's lasagna and my husband had the beef katsu sandwich. I will tell you that I loved every single moment alone I had my lasagna. It was hands down the best lasagna I have ever had. It was filling and savory. It was the ultimate comfort food that I never knew I needed. My husband said is sandwich was delectable. The flavor was amazing and the meat extremely tender. We were both smiling and eating the whole time. Two fat kids in love just vibing over bomb ass food. For dessert we went with one of two choices. The 24K gold Budino. Baby listen. I'm not fancy and I don't know much but if you have only two options for dessert you're clearly that bitch! Cause I ordered dessert and it was amazing. I was a little iffy giving this place a try after my first impressions from online drama, but I'm glad we came and look forward to going back, hopefully with room for dessert next time because the 24K Gold chocolate budino looks amazing. My husband and I came after dinner elsewhere so we just tried a couple cocktails. It wasn't his favorite Old Fashioned, but I loved The Godfather. It has scotch and amaretto. My husband was impressed with the decor and simplicity of the layout. I love the leopard print carpet and appreciate the gold leaf details on the walls and even the pipes, but I was overwhelmed by everything else being different shades of gold as well. We started at Saint Neri for a 3-part Resturant tour. We made a reservation very easily on a Saturday night (but the Savannah Bananas game so it wasn't busy. My husband ordered a cocktail - something like a cantaloupe sour and I had an espresso martini. Both were EXCEPTIONAL. We then had an appetizer (Arancino) and it was a smidge cheesy for me but I am not a strong cheese flavor person. For the average cheese lover it would be perfect. The only detractor was the atmosphere. All the servers/bartenders were in these shimmery tassel-y dresses (they looked comfortable and cute) but it felt very competitive with wall to wall cheetah print carpet and cheetah print bar stools. For a bar that's supposed to be speakeasy-esque, I was hoping for a little more art deco touches and style and even music. Beyond that, I can't think of anything I didn't like! read more

During the holidays, I ventured to Saint Neri to catch up with some old friends and found this to be an incredibly elevated bar experience. The food was super unique; think fancy cocktail bites more so than anything else and a bar with cocktails/mocktails that feature a diverse menu. More than anything else, the vibe here is super upscale with cozy chairs, tables that make this an ideal place for a date night or an impressive night out when you're trying to showcase Buffalo's excellent bar scene. I came here with my husband and cousin to celebrate her birthday on March 16th 2024. Thankfully we made reservations, as it was very busy. The outside of the establishment is just a door, very basic and not at all what I was expecting. When we came in we were pleasantly greeted and sat down. The decor is a lot of gold. The floors were carpeted and there was definitely a stagnant smell in the air. The bartenders uniforms were white dresses...I would have to say as being a bartender in the past myself that this is less than an ideal color for a uniform. The bartenders that I could see already had stains on them. The servers wore gold beaded dresses with heels. I understand and appreciate the look that is trying to be achieved here but again it seemed like an unrealistic uniform choice. Our server was very sweet and tried her best to be attentive. We explained in the beginning that we were going to enjoy some cocktails and desserts. It seemed like it took a very, very long time to get cocktails. We ordered a round of espresso martinis which had an alarming amount of simple syrup in them. My husbands was much too sweet so he did not finish his. When we told the server she didn't provide any alternative options, just an apology. We then ordered the Locker Room (with vodka). This drink was very refreshing and will definitely be a hit over the summer. For dessert we ordered the 24 K Gold Chocolate Budino and an orange cake that I believe was a special. The chocolate cake was fabulous, the presentation, the taste just everything about it was delicious. The orange cake was ok, it had the texture that stuck to the roof of your mouth but the flavor was there. Overall I think there are some things that could be refined. The decor was somewhere in between elegant and tacky. The cocktails themselves were lackluster and not worth the price tag in my opinion. Wanted to come back on here and once again praise this amazing place! Went this past Saturday (party of 4) for dinner and drinks. They have added a chicken Parmesan and meatball sliders to the menu since we were last here and WOW!!! The food was incredible! Favorite drink is still the yuzu (but also love the Locker Room and CHS). The music was late 90's early 2000's hip hop and R&B. It was taking me back and our table was dancing and vibing like we were back in that era! The other patrons seemed to be more dressed up which was lovely to see in WNY. It makes you feel like you're in a different city. Our waitress (Jahnay) was sweet, attentive and personable. I really can't wait to go back to this place! Their food selection consists of small plates/tastings, with some items that are quite filling. We went there for a friend's birthday and the staff could not have been nicer. We were a party of 10-12 people, and considering the space, the staff was quite accommodating and attentive. We tried a few different drinks and food, but what stood out to me was the yuzu cocktail and the chicken parm. The caviar bump was also enjoyed by the birthday boy. The only thing I can compare this bar to is the failed "Willy Chocolate Experience" exhibit in Glasgow Scotland. The event used AI generated propaganda to advertise this as a "once in a lifetime event" that simulated an experience that would be just like being at Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. When people arrived, it was warehouse with props, posters, and disappointment. There was questionable people dressed up trying to be characters and "making candy", which was ultimately compared to a meth lab and people demanded their money back. When you walk up to this bar, you aren't sure if you are in the right spot, or if the gold covered door is the back door or the front of the place. Theres no sign that you can see on the building. Just a fold up sign outside the building that looks like it's advertising for a lunch special. When you walk in, the disappoint and confusion continues. The photos online are extremely deceiving. It looks like a hip, trendy place, but in reality it looks like an unfinished basement with dollar store wallpaper on the wall, cheap drapes and animal print. The walls are covered in what looks like gold tin foil and resembles the inside of a golden ticket- here we go with the Willy Wonka references again- but seriously it will make you question how this place is still in business... I was like this is it?? The servers dressed in flappers dresses and some in white dresses that resemble togas. It's the most bizarre bar I've ever been to. The drinks were unreasonably expensive and I am pretty sure mine didn't even have alcohol in it, and I did not order a mock-tail. I wasn't feeling great tonight and didn't want to come out anyway, but the person I was meeting up with said that we would be charged $6 per person for canceling so I was like ok whatever let's just try it out. Well I would rather have paid the $6 than experience this weird dollar store basement bar. I wish I could leave 0 stars. read more

Unfortunately for you and your partner, the bartender chose a man with 35+ years of successful restaurant experience. Perhaps a customer not aware of bad industry practices would have overlooked this outrageous episode, but I'm not that person! Not only does my disastrous experience put your horrendous behavior under a spotlight, the light will serve to show other diners how completely inept and unqualified you are... And what a despicable human being you are. The food stamps millions need to survive, you chose to use as a disgusing insult. Very telling. Let me clarify my tale of the short pours and empty bottle of Claus Azul. (Would a financially struggling person drink a Prestige Tequila?) The first was not a legal shot as he sensed the bottle was about to be empty. $35. Second, the half shot that was then spilled but still served as a legal shot was indeed charged at full price...just as the inexperienced bartender advised it would be. $35. NO beer or any other products...Negroni, Belvedere, etc. were ordered as I was alone when I visited. I met with friends later, just thankfully not at your establishment. And for sure, nothing was comped, even though the last drink should have been. I paid full price for both of these very short pours. I have both a bill and CC receipt. There were no items removed. No management got involved whatsoever... That would require an experienced bartender and a genuine, capable member of a valid management team. Neither of which is present in your establishment. Lying about a bill...on an open forum no less, when you receive a legitimate complaint? That alone says a TON about who you are and why your establishment will be shuttered in months. BTW grouch, My net worth would allow me to buy not only your dump bar but your home and 'interior design' business as well with money left to send you to Siberia where you'd never be heard from again. *But thanks for the '17th century fabric' laugh tho... Cocktails were a TEN. Unique but not overwhelming. I've heard mixed reviews of this place so I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. Bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly. However, I went recently to celebrate a promotion and the vibes and the clientele had greatly changed. It went from a more older crowd understanding etiquette to newly 21 year olds in the same uniform of black tops, jeans, and sneakers with their loud obnoxious boyfriends. Rap music was playing and girls were loudly signing profanity, and due to the smaller size of the place, girls were sitting of boys laps. Terrible service and terrible drinks. I went in tonight and just got a dirty martini with Belvedere, it's so hot in there and they don't chill the glasses for the martinis which is super weird. The olives looked old and broken. And the best part was the drink came up to $19.58 for one crappy martini. As a bartender who has been bartending for a long time don't even waste your money coming here... I understand it's a new resturant. But to have snobby bartenders who don't know how to make a simple martini is insane. That's not a "Newley open issue" you should know how to make a martini at a "world class cocktail" bar.
