I have been here before to eat and their food is great. This review is for the drinks, atmosphere and bar trivia. My friend and I went to Food Truck Tuesday. It was extremely crowded and I wasn't in the mood. I suggested we go up the street to Marinaro's. It is a short walk up the street. There were some tables filled, and a couple spaces taken at the bar at around 7pm on a Tuesday. We saddled up to the bar and I ordered a pint glass of Jameson and ginger ale for $5 and my friend ordered a beer. The drink was a $1 more to get the bigger glass. The drink was good. The bartender was friendly. A lady came around and said that trivia would be starting soon and we could play. The trivia is every Tuesday at 7pm and great fun. I highly recommend it. The questions are great, and there is even an audio round. I look forward to trying it out again soon.

This place is right by my work so I decided to go for lunch. Service was a little slow, and food took a long time to come out, but not a big deal. It was pretty good. I got a burger and my 2 friends got the chicken parm. Quite a large portion too. I would recommend and go back for sure.

Things you need to know right off the bat: 1. They do not take cards. 2. The dining room is very small. Options for large parties are limited. I visited this establishment one Friday evening before an event at Key Bank Center. I was part of a party of 6. We had something like 2.5 hours before our event started so when we heard there would be a 40 minute wait we were all okay with hanging out by the bar and waiting. Well, that forty minute wait turned into something closer to and hour and 45 minute wait. This is no fault of the staff, they did everything they could to hurry things up for us, but the people in the seats we needed were enjoying themselves. I'm just explaining to make he point that the seating for large parties is limited. The feel of this place is totally home town. It's a little dark and kind of thrown together. Defiantly community based. The waitresses were all late 40s to 60s in regular clothing. There was one bar tender who was younger who had a polo with the logo on it. They were all friendly and helpful. In an effort to try and make it to our event on time, We put our food order in before we sat down.so when finally got our table, we had dinner right away. I am giving 4 stars because I was not very impressed. I got onion rights and one of their loaded french fries and I just did not really enjoy it. The onion rights were really over done. Everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy them selves.

I am definitely a fan!! I really enjoy eating this hidden gem by the Larkin building on exchange street. The place is amazing from the service to the food. The chicken param melts in your mouth and their sauce is amazing. They also, put just the amount of cheeses on it. I have also tried their different types of fries. My favorite is the BLT fries and buffalo fries. Buffalo are my favorite with you choice of sauce and blue cheese. My goal is to try all 7 types of fries. I definitely will be back. The staff is always so pleasant and welcoming. It's a tavern feeling like cheers. I really enjoyed this place and you will too.

Was here over the weekend for a private party and have to say this place was alright. It's a pretty laid back bar atmosphere filled with all sorts of sports memorabilia. Had some decent beers on tap. And for food the party had some roast beef sandwiches with pasta as a side. Both were good. Definitely could see this being my local watering hole if I lived in the immediate area.

For me personally this place is a bit on the pricier side but thankfully my friend paid for me without me even knowing. I was very appreciative for that. But I do think I would go back as long as I had the money. Service was great. We sat at the bar and our food came out in under 10 minutes. The place has a lot of seating as well. It was 2 stuffed banana peppers, 2 meatballs with red sauce and garlic toast. All good and the peppers did have a little kick that I love. We split a sandwich. Ordered Antonio Bing. It was a chicken cutlet with stuffed hot pepper, melted mozzarella on a garlic roll in the shape of a hogie roll. It came with one side so we chose the macaroni salad, very good and added a Caesar salad. Now for the best part of any meal ...dessert! We chose the peanut butter cookie sundae. It was a real peanut butter buttery cookie on the bottom topped with vanilla ice cream surrounded by whipped cream & drizzled with chocolate sauce so yummy

It was a bit busy (30-40 min wait for dining area), but there were a few tables off to the right of the bar where you could seat yourself. Luckily, one opened up right as we walked in. When seated at these tables, you have to order at the bar. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the nuggiez -- the sauce cooled the boneless bites down a little, but the flavor was still great. I loved all the sauces we tried (saucy hot cajun, medium, and garlic parm). The wings were perfectly crisp, and the steak pizza had a ton of flavor. Definitely a heavier meal, but if you're bringing someone from out of town who wants great wings, this is a spot worth taking them to.

Lots of Bills and Sabres paraphernalia around. It's kind of a dive bar. Which is good. Prices have increased like everything else. So be ready to spend for a family. Now for the wings. They were good. Last time we came we weee highly disappointed but today they hit a solid triple. They were good and saucey, lots of celery and some blue cheese. We also got a side salad which was slightly lacking. Small for the price. Filled with croutons, cheese and a few slivers of tomatoes. Kinda disappointing for the price in all honesty. Server was nice. Very attentive. Atmosphere is fun and overall it's definitely a place to stop for the history. We will come back another time.

Instead, the place felt more like a cavernous tourist stop than the legendary wing destination I had imagined. The wings were good, but not great. We ordered them dry so we could try several sauces, and to their credit, the wings themselves were cooked perfectly. The sauces, however, were underwhelming. We tried the garlic parmesan, the original, and the extreme heat sauce, which I believe was called "Suicidal." They all seemed to rely heavily on cayenne and butter, with limited complexity and less heat than expected. Maybe I've been spoiled by other wing spots with more creative sauces and better blue cheese and ranch, but these just didn't stand out. That said, the service was great, and I appreciated the staff. I'm glad I went for the history, but based on the food alone, it didn't live up to the hype.

Our waitress was really friendly and told me the French onion soup is one of their popular items, so that got me excited. It came out fast and it was pretty good. The croutons were honestly my favorite part, super seasoned and actually had flavor. This was only my second time having French onion soup though and I'm still on the fence... it felt like it was missing something, or maybe I just don't get the hype yet lol My friend got the chicken broccoli alfredo and I got the cajun chicken linguine. The portions are HUGE, like you're definitely not leaving hungry. She said hers didn't have much flavor even after adding salt and pepper and was already planning how she was going to fix it at home. My chicken was a little burnt so it was dry and kind of messed with the flavor, but the pasta itself was good. I loved that they added a little bread to soak up the sauce. The huge portions made up for the bland flavors. Not even gonna lie, a few bites in my stomach said "absolutely not" which is no fault of theirs, 100% on me for going all in on dairy, so my friend ended up taking both meals home. Overall I'd recommend it if you like a bar vibe, big portions, and solid food. 8.3/10
