This place is amazing! The staff are so friendly and attentive answering any and all questions I have. The food is just delicious I had the spam masubi and both cheesecakes on the menu I will definitely be going back! The ambience is also super cute I loved the artwork on the walls it's a very cozy spot I went an hour before close and there were not a lot of people. Overall 100/10 it's so good!

Picked up some to go and have no regrets. Both the pork and rib plate were awesome. Passion fruit glazed cheesecake, excellent! We will definitely go back.

I was so excited to finally make it to Hanai Hawaiian BBQ!! I've been trying to get here since the very first pop-up in June 2025. I ordered 2 spam musubi, one cut in half for my kids to try and one for myself, two teri bowls for my kids, and a Pig & Poke plate for myself. The pork was a little on the dry side, but the poke & slaw was great. The mac salad helped the dryness of the pork. I am so happy to have finally made it here and I can't wait to come back.

This is an amazing gem to come to Buffalo! I've been craving plate lunch ever since I visited Maui a few years ago and this hits the spot! There are others who try to make "Hawaiian bbq" but this is finally a real taste of the street food. The ribs are insane and the fact I can order a musubi in Buffalo makes this place a new favorite.

This restaurant is within "The Commons" at UB's north campus. It is open to everyone, not just students. If you are visiting UB's north campus for any reason, say to visit the Libraries, take in a show, or concert, or a sporting event, consider taking a walk down the hill to The Commons. UB North campus is accessible and can be reached on Metro routes 44 and 35.

Take a break from ruining your colon with all that guac n roll and c3. spoil yourself and spare your toilet. It reopened a couple weeks ago after like 2 years, and it was my first time coming recently. Good food, probably my favorite place in the UB commons. It is excellent location wise for students here. Poke bowls taste great, there's a lot of options for the sides/toppings. The ingredients all seem fresh, well prepared. The food is presentable and seems to be of good quality. The rice is always delicious too. I'd appreciate if I could pick some up every week or something lmao. (Please. The children are hungry.) The Baos / steamed buns are usually fresh and are a huge treat. My only real issue with this place is prices are kind of high. One bun will run you $4! I understand they need to make a profit and maybe are operating on razor thin margins...considering fish is expensive, good ingredients cost more than the plastic at C3, Covids effect on supply chains, current gas and shipping costs... there's a reason for the price. It's not that much higher, it's similar to all the other places in the commons, really. and I choose to come here, nobody's forcing me to empty my wallet. (State mandated poke would be lit tho‼) If you get your money up not your funny up it's not that big a deal. Also, if you are the type to complain about restaurants not catering to specifically you, because you are vegan, your name starts with K and ends with -aren, and everyone and everything revolves around you, guess what! They accommodate very well and you should have no reason to have a meltdown. Just tell them you are vegan instead of throwing a fit about the mayonnaise you asked for... there are vegan options and you will still be satisfied. Everything bowl wise can be customized. It's all up to you. Simply put I highly recommend this place to anyone nearby, especially UB students. It beats all the food options in the commons and most of north campus in my opinion. 3/5 portion size (can be 4/5 too sometimes they scoop me more salmon just because they are generous) 4/5 taste / yum yum factor 3/5 price 5/5 service (ladies who work there are super nice and very courteous)

They also have a large menu (some might complain its too large, lol). They have a variety of Thai, Japanese, Chinese, and other Asian dishes. They also have samosas, which was unexpected. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Curry Ramen, which was phenomenal. I also appreciated how the chicken was marinated and cut as they do in Japan. They also have the three major kinds of Ramen (Shoyu, Miso, and Tonkutsu). This place looks far from fancy, but its great to stop by for a nice authentic meal.

We came here because we wanted to try somewhere none of us had been before and everyone had a fantastic meal. The inside was larger than we expected and very clean. We were greeted by a friendly server and told we could sit anywhere we liked. We ordered soft shell crab bao and papaya salad for appetizers, both of which were crowd pleasers. Our entrees included chicken pad Thai, red curry duck, Massaman curry and tofu pad see ew. The portions were large enough for all off to have leftovers even after we had eaten our fill. I wish I had ordered the Massaman curry for myself, but I guess I'll just have to come back for more!
