another lovely trip to my poke spot banana crush milk tea is perf with the extra boba. refreshing and oh so yummy. the portions of the poke bowls continue to impress and the service was just lovely yum yum
Went out for our weekly dinner date. Boba was our first stop. We decided to give this spot a try. I got the pineapple green tea with boba. It was good. Compared to other spots, this tasted more like green tea than pineapple. It's not a bad thing but it was just a bit of a different taste than what I had expected. My wife got the Brown Sugar Zang Zang tea with whole milk and really enjoyed it. The place was super busy when I stopped in. With all of the people, the service was still quick and friendly.
Spacious, clean dining area and friendly service, but underwhelmed by my food. The menu is on the wall to your left.. they have most (if not all) of the prices covered by pieces of paper; I understand that prices can change, but they could've written the new prices on the paper. I went ahead and ordered not having any idea of the cost, which I don't like doing and wouldn't like doing even if I were rich. I ordered the shrimp tonketsu ramen for $13.99. It was mostly noodles and broth. There was a small fish patty, some shrimp, bamboo shoots, half an over cooked egg and some green onion... I expected there to be other vegetables like broccoli, bean sprouts, carrots and snap peas, which I have gotten in my ramen at other restaurants. It did taste good and the broth had a nice spice to it... The ingredients, or lack there of, left me wanting more, especially for the price. I would consider visiting again to try a bubble tea as they do allow you to choose your preferred sweetness level. I likely would not order if I arrived to find there were still no prices displayed.
This place is always a great option for a healthy, quick, and affordable meal! Also a great place to sit and talk to friends, read, or study. I love that you get to choose whatever you want in your meal at no extra cost. Country service is good too. Lots of fun drinks.

I was nervous about the sushi burrito, but I had no reason to be, it was well packed for the price. The spicy miso ramen was also delicious with just the right amount of spice.
A bit surprised there are boba tea places in Buffalo, NY. Nevertheless they didnt disappoint. Decent boba and prices. No dine in currently. Plenty of parking avaliable.
Came in again for bubble tea, got a peach green tea with strawberry boba, and a side of macarons. Everything was delicious! Staff was friendly but they were really busy with online orders so service was slow. No indoor seating at this time.
Sadly, this was the worst bubble tea I've ever had. What a bummer. I love when the pearls burst in your mouth. So delightful. Not these ones. They were dense and chewy all the way, no burst or liquid. I'm no bubble tea expert, but I think it was a bad batch or something. Maybe just a fluke, idk. Not for nothing, but the place looked really dirty too. Garbage all over the floor. Napkins, receipts, a plastic dental flosser. I don't eat sushi, but if I did I sure wouldn't buy raw fish from a place that looks dirty.
I'm back again because I have grown an obsession with this place. I have yet to actually go to the physical location, I have just been ordering for delivery. But this is definitely my current go-to craving for lunch. I have been very intrigued by sushi burritos lately and I tried my first one at the new A&J Poke. I had high hopes for it, and it was good, but it wasn't great. The seaweed wrap was a bit tough to get through. SO when I saw my fave spot had them (aka Tai Chi Bubble Tea), I had to try and compare. I will say this one was a tad smaller than the other place but I really thoroughly enjoyed this one so much more. The seaweed wrap was much easier to bite through, and the ratio of tuna to everything else was fantastic. I will be ordering this so many more times. Maybe next time I will actually go into the place!
I've come back multiple times since my first visit, where I showed cautious optimism by giving a 4 star review. I feel it's time to give the fifth star as I have found the quality to be amazingly consistent, and each of the flavors I've tried (so far along with Taro (which is still my go to), has been Grapefruit, Pineapple, Watermelon, and Strawberry (in both milk and non-milk)) and have loved it each and every time. I also must say that I am super impressed with how perfectly done the boba are. After going to a few other bubble tea spots in the area and having hit and miss quality, I'm glad to have finally found a spot that for me nails it every time.
The taro bubble tea and poke bowl were good. Very decent and exactly what I expected, did not stand out though. I have had better taro milk tea from a lot of other places. The dining area is very nice though, and it is a great place to study and chill with friends. Had nice booths and couches.

On this occasion, we only tried the bubble tea. We ordered a Taro and a Passion Fruit one, and both were delicious. The staff was efficient, the prices are reasonable, and the location is clean. I do look forward to coming back to sit in one of their cute booths and have one of their noodle soups or ramen. read more

The taro bubble tea and poke bowl were good. Very decent and exactly what I expected, did not stand out though. I have had better taro milk tea from a lot of other places. The dining area is very nice though, and it is a great place to study and chill with friends. Had nice booths and couches. read more

Came back and tried the ramen. I highly recommend the tonkatsu ramen with pork. Decent bubble tea spot that also serves sushi bowls and burritos! I don't know any other place in the Buffalo area that serves this combo together. I also noticed that they now serve ramen during specific times so I need to come back and try it! I normally get a spicy salmon sushi bowl with lots of toppings since they're unlimited. Top it off with eel and chili sauce for a nice kick! During the colder season, I love their original hot milk tea. I also like their passion fruit smoothie during the warmer days! Give this place a try. read more

From the moment I walked in I knew I was gonna love this place. The ambience is amazing. They only play awesome music. This place is great for a family to grab lunch on a weekend. They even have healthy vegan options. Lots to choose from. Service is friendly and inviting. The seating options are so cute. Either booths or stools at tables. And the food... amazing. I customized my sushi burrito just how I wanted it, and it was perfect. I got a mango milk bubble tea and it was the perfect compliment to my meal. My two friends that I went with also enjoyed their food immensely. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for some good sushi. read more
Do yourselves a favor and give this place a visit! They have everything from bubble tea to sushi burritos and rice bowls. When ordering you fill out this checklist indicating the protein, add-ins and sauces that you want to add to your order. I opted for the sushi burrito with spicy salmon, edamame, avocado, mango, seaweed salad, fried onion/garlic and spicy mayo and I was blown out of this world by how DELICIOUS this was!! My mouth is watering as I type this review. I was impressed by how huge the portion size was and how fresh all the ingredients were. It left me feeling more than satisfied when I was done and the price point is pretty unbeatable. Super casual and low key environment to hang out with friends and grab something to eat. There's ample seating/booths and there are board games available if you plan on staying awhile. Welcoming staff, great space, and bomb food, what more can you ask for?! read more

Tai Chi was the first bubble tea shop I've tried at New York state. Unfortunately the flavors are mostly made of artificial fruit flavors, and nothing spoke out to me other than the decor. I had the original Tai Chi milk tea since none of the other flavors looked unique and worth being adventurous for. Most fruit flavors are a no for me because the flavors come from syrups that contain fructose as its primary ingredient. No thanks. Other than the lack of creativity of the menu, the milk tea had a off-putting aftertaste and barely tasted like actual brewed black tea. The boba comes with almost all the drinks, so I took advantage of that so I could try their boba without incurring an extra $0.50 charge. The boba was in a container that looked like a plastic shoe box. That wasn't the problem though. I could see when the cashier scooped boba into my cup that the boba was old. You can tell when boba is old because they are more sticky than usual, and the boba has a brown hue. But the texture of the boba was good enough when I tried my drink. The people who frequent the place are usually millennials. The love for boba tea has reached far because the customer base was strangely racially diverse. Must be a cool Buffalo thing. Parking is no problem. Tai Chi is in a large shopping center with a thrift store that's the size of a Macy's department store. Plenty of parking to go around, and thrift stores are rarely crowded. The decor is wonderful. The first couch to the right from the entrance has a couch with stuffed bears and pandas that you can take a cutesy picture with. I would've done so had I not visited Tai Chi after sunset. The center has classic tables, the sides of the store has booths for less visual distractions, and there was a cubby that held board games. Even if I didn't like the drinks, I still would love coming here for studying. read more

A very cute little business! The bubble tea was so-so. Presentation of it was pretty. Very nicely decorated. The service was fast. The windows were extremely dirty. And the stuffed animals were creepy. I would order my bubble tea with reduced sugar next time because it was a little too sweet. Overall good! read more
Not sure why its taken me so long to finally write a review of this place. Been coming consistently the past few years and still loving it. Their menu has expanded over the past few years and now includes ramen. Unfortunately because of COVID...I have yet to try their ramen. That being said, the following review focuses on their bubble tea and bowls/wraps. Bubble Tea: - For Buffalo standards, I say both the tea and the tapioca are among the best in the area - Compared to bigger market cities like NYC or LA, I would say it is above average. Food: The wraps/bowls are out of this world. The price, the freshness/quality, the taste and the variety of options are the main reason for the 5 star rating for this restaurant. Guilt free eating at its best!! Ambiance: - For those unfamiliar with dense metropolitan cities with large Chinese populations, this restaurant is what you would typically expect to find from a higher end bubble tea shop. - For it to be in Buffalo...are my dreams come true since moving to Buffalo 10 years ago - Plenty of tables and booths for seating. Private/quiet enough for a date but lively enough with music and free board games to hangout with a small group of friends. Tip: They have a Rewards Card program for repeat addicts like myself. Wow! This is based on my doordash takeout experience. I've only tried bubble tea a couple times so I don't have enough experience to compare but this was delicious! I ordered the Taro Bubble Tea - tastes like a sweet milky tea with slight blueberry flavor. The bubbles were gummy and delicious. I also added Passfruit Boba which were similar sized gummy balls but they burst with juice inside of them. I will definitely order this again but skip the passionfruit boba for something else. Onto the Taichi Rice Bowl.. I ordered mine with salmon, lettuce, red cabbage, plenty of veggies. The fried garlic added tons of flavor! Everything is fresh and crunchy. It came completely dry with my choice of dressing on the side; sweet chilli and spicy mayo. I'll switch that up next time as it was too sweet for me. However, for what it is, everything was very very good. read more

I have been ordering tai chi a lot since they reopened and I'm pretty disappointed. Every time I order now, the drinks are always wrong and taste like water. I ordered taro every time and I never ask for less sugar or no sugar and it always taste like I'm drinking water. Couple of times I ordered taro and coconut, and there is no coconut in it and even if it's just taro, there is still no taste to it. read more

I feel like I've been living in a bubble all my life. I feel like I was Tai'd down, like someone locked me up and threw away the Chi. But now I've been set Tea. They say if you love someone, set them Tea. And the first thing I did with my newfound freedom, was drive to the Northtowns of Buffalo and ask for my fortune to be told at this place. They said "sorry we don't do that." I was like "BUT IT SAYS YOU HAVE TARO." They said, "yes, we do have Taro." I said "SO I WANT A TARO READING DUHHHH." They were confused. Not about their sexualities (that would be me), just in general. They whipped me up a purple drink (usually when people do that, they're giving me illegal drugs, but not this time). The rest is history. Tai Chi has become my fave place in Buffalo to hang out, along with maybe KFT and TLC (other Bubble Tea shops, surprise surprise), but the advantage of Tai Chi is their excellent food. The Bubble Tea here is good and authentic (milk tea) or a little too sweet and fake (fruit tea) for my liking, with decent, if chewy, boba. However their rice bowls and salad bowls and sushi burritos are absolutely excellent, filled with fresh, tasty goodies, always filling, with portions always generous, with good and competitive prices for students and bargain hunters, and excellently flavoured raw salmon and raw tuna (and spicy salmon and spicy tuna), as well as other good cooked options such as organic tofu. I always get the fish on the side if I get a raw fish salad or rice bowl, because then you can really taste it. If you get it mixed in, you can't. Some of the toppings are better than others - seaweed is a little salty and overpowering, and some of the sauces are a little sweet (unless you're into that). The Wasabi has a real kick so if you're in a spicy mood, give it a try. The Wasabi sauce is creamy and less fiery, and tasty as a motherf***er. This is definitely one of my weekly, healthy, go-to meals. I absolutely love it. Give it a try. It's both innovative and authentic. It's miles better than the trendy "poke" places popping up in Buffalo, which have sky-high prices and awful quality - in my opinion. And a special word for the servers here. Several of them are what I consider good friends, and they've always been wonderful to me, going as far as staying here long after closing to give me my computer back when I left it there one night and drove 20 miles back to get it. The owner, I don't know personally, although I support his business ventures - several in Rochester (the original of which I've been to many times), and now one in WNY. Good job, and great location choice close to both UB campuses and most of the best WNY ethnic restaurants here in Amherst. So come on and try a Sushi Burrito or a Rice Bowl - always with White Rice. It's very worth it. And as for the fish, my fave is the Salmon. Now I need to speak to Sam. Would you put Sam on. And if Warren G was from Thailand, then would he be known as Thai G? I'm not sure, but someone should Regulate my reviews because that wasn't even funny. I can't believe we're not in love anymore. Let's go and get a Taro reading at Tai Chi and fall in love again babes. read more

Visited the new Niagara Falls location for take out for dinner. It was great to see their social distancing procedures first hand which included limited seating and the staff wearing face coverings. My order consisted of: Taichi White Rice Bowl Salmonopoly (fresh spinach, raw salmon, spicy raw salmon, cucumber, avocado, edamame, corn, carrot, spicy mayo, masago and fried onion). Taichi White Rice Bowl Tunado (lettuce, raw tuna, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, green pepper, black beans, spicy mayo, eel sauce, tomago and fried garlic). Vegetarian Tomato Ramen with Beef. And, a Macha Red Bean Milk Tea. My husband had the Salmonopy; it was a beautiful fresh salad with nice chucks of really fresh tasting salmon. Savory and delicious, but not at all spicy with a mound of sticky rice. I had the Tunado, it wasn't as appealing to the eye on presentation but absolutely delicious. A nice slightly sweet sauce dressed a fresh and crisp salad with super fresh chunks of firm tuna and a mound of sticky rice. The Macha Milk Tea was perfect. Not the typical gritty macha from other establishments and not overly sweet. The red beans in the bottom are sweet, slightly chalky and firm, not mushy. Very refreshing! We were so full we weren't able to find room for the ramen but we tried the broth that was packaged separately. Rich in tomato flavor with a slight umami finish. The presentation was beautiful. This establishment is currently offering a 15% discount but we were sure to tip. Even if you're not eating in, just be sure to tip your server especially at this time during the pandemic. read more
What a pleasant surprise!!! I ordered a protein sushi burrito which came wrapped in sea weed. I choose my fillings which included spinach, red cabbage,tofu,pickled radish,cucumber,avacado, cilantro and mango. It was delicious!!!! Everything was so fresh and crunchy. I also got vegetarian tomato ramen noodle soup. I got as extras bamboo, bean, sprouts, corn and tofu. The soup came separately and you add it yourself. I had to add some cayenne to give it a bit more of zip. I also think it would have been only noodles and soup if I didn't add the veggies myself. But they were still very good. I suggest letting it steep a bit so the flavors get into the tofu. And finally I decided to try the matcha red bean milk tea with the tapioca balls. This was new for me because I usually get bubble tea. It's good but not the same flavor as bubble tea if you're expecting that. This newfound restaurant is a wonderful find. read more

First of all ,the atmosphere is the best of all the bubble tea establishments......private spacious booths, board games, televisions, comfy lounge seats.... this place has it all. What I did miss of this place was the friendly customer service, I felt like I was just a number and it wasn't even that busy. The Kiwi tea I ordered with the Strawberry Boba was just ok..... Tea Leaf Cafe reigns supreme again! I would be open to try some of their entrees but only if I found myself in the area. read more
