I have never been to the actual location because my husband always picks it up. But this is my favorite milk tea place in Buffalo so far (we recently moved to the Buffalo area). I always get the black milk tea with 50% sugar and no ice. It is just the perfect flavor and it is so smooth! I've had terrible milk teas that are too thick or you can literally taste the powder. We absolutely loved coming in here for the first time. It is well decorated and inviting. We were looking for food.... Everything in the plaza was closed besides Mighty and Pho54 which apparently charges you extra just to pay, so we walked across the street to see what was in this cafe. Stopped by this place because it was conveniently located in the plaza where I was staying. They have a variety of drinks and even egg waffle desserts on the menu so there is definitely something for everyone. I ended up getting the strawberry slush with cheese foam and thought that this was a very refreshing option. I was excited Icha Cafe is finally open again so I could try it! I think they are still in the soft opening phase (some more interior work to be done, menu not in English yet) but the staff was welcoming. The inside decor feels modern and is nicely done. I got a milk tea and my date the peach tea. I liked the milk tea because it was stronger in the black tea flavor versus the milk which I like. The tapioca pearls were perfect. I ordered takeout from a neighboring restaurant while in town for work and while waiting saw this place and figured I'd run over and get some bubble tea to drink with my dinner. I ended up getting matcha cream cheese tea instead after seeing all their menu offerings and got a Hong Kong style egg waffle ice cream dessert. The cream cheese matcha tea was very delicious. I got the regular sugar option and it was perfect. Not too sweet where it's hard to drink and sweet enough to not taste "black". The waffle cone ice cream dessert was incredible as well. Vanilla ice cream with matcha powder and red beans stuffed into a warm waffle is a sure fire winner. The waffle was delicious and each segment pulled right off. I been to this new bubble tea place before it was official on yelp. It was still in the process of designing everything. When I walked in, it was really pretty already even though their signs aren't up yet and the window was still covered. The interior was all marble design. It looked fresh and bright. The small designs on the tables were very cute. I ordered the All in one drink which is milk green tea with boba, herbal jelly, and pudding. My friend ordered milk green tea with red beans. It had a really strong tea flavor which I like. The pudding was very blend though. My friends drink was just like mine but just different toppings. I've been here about 3-4 times and this is probably one of my favorite bubble tea places in Buffalo. I'm a HUGE bubble tea drinker and frequent Toronto and California a few times a year. This is as good as it gets for good bubble tea in Buffalo. The decor inside is very bright, inviting, and very esthetic for Instagram. The way they decorate is it very nicely done and it feels very warm and the kind of environment that you want to be in. The tea itself is very good. The tapioca pearls are some of the best I've had in Buffalo. The tea itself also tastes great. What I really liked was that at my most recent visit, they allowed my friend and me to use our reusable bubble tea tumblers. We're both trying to cut single-use plastics from our life and we were both glad that they were able to let us use our tumblers no problems at all. +1 for the environment. My favorite bubble tea place in WNY. I usually get the All-in-One milk tea because I like having 3 different toppings in mine, and this is the only place in the area I've been to that does the 3-toppings drink. If you've been to Coco, it is the equivalent of their Three Guys drink. Service is pretty quick here. I do wish there were more tables because I feel like there is a lot of empty space. They also have no problem using reusable cups, which is a big plus in my book. I've heard of some places in the area that won't accept reusable cups, and I'm certainly glad that Icha is not one of them. If you're craving bubble tea and are in the area, I would highly recommend checking Icha out. They don't have the most extensive menu but they still have quality drinks that will satisfy your craving. read more

Love this place! This is my go to bbt place. I used to go to the other ones since the options in Buffalo were limited but now that Icha is open, I have been going here regularly. I have tried their rose ship fruit tea, oolong milk tea, chrysanthemums with cheese foam and peach jasmine green tea (comes with orange slices and lime) with sago. Those are my regulars now. I love their tapioca bubbles but I try to stick to grass jelly for personal reasons. But the tea tastes so goooodddd! It is so worth the price imo plus I love their cups. This is the best bubble tea out here in Buffalo and I'm glad they opened here. KFT was pretty good but ICHA is up there. Definitely worth the visit. Cute little new boba shop. The overall decoration in this place is very bright with metallic decor. There aren't a lot of seats though. There are three tables and window-side table top seats. First thing I noticed was there is no menu! Usually places have menus on their walls or at least physical menus somewhere, but this place only has their menu on an ipad next to the cashier (without pictures). So make sure you know what you want before going (or order something familiar if you're not sure). We ordered a regular black milk tea and matcha latte iced (50% sugar) and both were pretty good. Their drinks are a lot more rich in tea taste than milk (which is really good!). I decided to give this place a try based on the reviews and pictures. The unfortunate truth is that WYSIWYG does not apply to the pictures. They only tell the truth while carefully covering up glaring flaws in both drinks and customer service. As I entered ICHA, no one was in sight, no cashier, nothing. A few minutes later, a cashier emerged from the back. Zero greeting and zero smile later, I placed my order with great difficulty. You see, the menu (seen in the pictures for this business) is on the floor. Yes, you read correctly. The menu is bizarrely taped to the floor. So, to order, you look to the floor, much like an animal looks for food on the ground, then you place your order. There is no excuse for this, because in a "soft opening", any establishment that respects their customer will never let them order off the floor. They will have a temporary menu on the wall, countertop etc. (One point to note is that the cashier/barista was not rude, she was just expressionless.) As for the drinks, they do not make things any better. They taste very synthetic and manufactured. The drinks are not bad, but they don't taste natural, like drinks made by the other local Asian establishments. The juice bar itself was clean, and everything seemed brand-new. It is also heavily monitored despite it being located in the good side of town; you go figure why. I leave you with this: I would not say that my experience at ICHA was bad. They're not very flexible with improvising off their menu (ie they can't make you a honey green tea because it's not on their menu, which most bubble tea places can...) but once you try the plain iced jasmine green tea you "settled" for, you won't even remember you wanted anything else. Make sure you grab a waffle too - and eat it fresh. Their space is pretty much entirely blocked off during the pandemic, so make sure you order online or call ahead so you can just grab and go when you get there. read more

For Buffalo, ICHA is probably one of the most authentic bubble tea shop you can find. They don't have that many options in drinks but they're all generally pretty good. Taste: For Buffalo standard, they're great. I think the boba needs a bit more work but you can't go wrong if you're ever craving boba! I love their milk tea's but I wouldn't recommend the cheese tea. I tried it and I think the cheese tea foam is meh. I personally love cheese tea but not from here unfortunately. Price: Pretty pricey to be honest. One boba costs around $5-$6 and for Buffalo, damn, that's expensive! Comes with quality cups though if that matters... Ambiance: The shop is pretty small. They don't have that many seating places so I wouldn't come here to chill with friends during the weekend since you'll probably ended up having to stand or go somewhere else. I think they should revamp the decorations because the atmosphere and interior feels really empty right now. From the spots I've been to, you can usually mix and match flavors which the boba included. Neither of these were the case here. I've been here .. a few times now and I have to say they are SO consistent with the black tea flavor each time. What I love about this place is their milk black tea is more tea based and seems to remind me of good places in NYC or Toronto.
