My last experience with Samurai Buffalo was a grub hub order. Everything was packaged nicely in a reusable bag. Nice bonus. The order included tofu pad thai, pork potstickers, and damage. The pad thai was a little too sweet but otherwise was s good meal. 2025-95 read more

Decided to order Samurai Buffalo again for me and my son. We were both very happy with the order and it came in a nice reusable bag too. My order contained the Super Saiyan Roll, Gyoza, Spicy Crab Roll, and Scallion Pancakes. Of all of these, the Super Saiyan Roll continues to reign supreme for me! The spicy crab roll was good - it's under the regular rolls versus specialty and so the price is good for this too. Gyoza was good .. average but good! The scallion pancakes were a new item for me (never had them anywhere) and so they tasted fine but I have nothing to compare them to. If you want to do a taste test, try the all you can eat: 30.99/Adult；20.99/Children under 12；kids under 3 eat for free (prices today, 8/9/25) Or just dine in! So far, Samurai Buffalo has been my favorite place to get rolls in the general vicinity. Give them a try! read more

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. I looove sushi and Ayce spots and this one is impressive. The sushi is by far the freshest I've ever had. The AYCE menu is around 30$ for an adult and they include a lot to choose from. The service is prompt and they have an easy ordering system that you can choose to use on your phone or with the server. The space is clean and not noisy. read more

Soooo incredibly disappointed ordered sushi on a Friday night and was told 35 minute wait. My husband waited over 2 1/2 hours at the restaurant with a large group of people who also ended up waiting HOURS. Around 7:45 he was told it would be another half hour even for some soup to take home. They did assure everyone that was waiting that the food would be on the house however my husband ended up calling it a night after so long. We called the restaurant next day and left a message with someone would call us back next day. It's been over a week and still no response or refund. Unfortunately, there was a large group of people that were in the same boat as us, and as they had all of our information from our order, never bothered to contact us to apologize about the wait OR refunding us I completely understand things get backed up but when you have people waiting over three hours for dinners that were quoted 35 mins without returning a phone call, incredibly disappointing. Will be going else where to get sushi from now on It has been over a week and our money STILL HASN'T GOTTEN A REFUND read more

This use to be my favorite little sushi spot. Hopefully I remember not to return. Since this place changed a year ago it has not been good. Mushroom soup - microwaved and the flavor was way off Lo Mein - little flavor. Came out super quick too. Did not taste fresh. Thousand Sunny roll states it has fresh slices of mango and topped with mango sauce. Mine came with mayo on top. Mango with mayo. Absolutely not good. Would not recommend. read more

Best Japanese food on transit road!!!! Fast service. Attractive waiters and waitresses. So nice and fast and helpful! The dining room is decorated beautiful. If you haven't been here yet you are missing out! read more

We did their all you can eat menu and we had 7 ppl. They took forever with bringing out our food. It's all you can eat, how can you bring out our sushi after asking about it 2-3 times? I think they purposely did that. We did not have enough to it. Sad. Their cooked and fried food kept coming out. read more

Delicious!! Me and my boyfriend went here for datenight and it was lovely!! The food was amazing and we did the all you can eat for 30.99! SUCH A GREAT DEAL!! I have driven past this place MANY times and decided to give it a try. I love Asian cuisine, but I am very critical and selective about where I go and what I try. Unfortunately, I have had my fair share of negative or disappointing experiences. This place is located at Transit and County or North French, which is the plaza strip where Top's Market is located. We decided to place an order online. We settled on a crispy chicken and a shrimp and Basil fried rice. The service was quick. They offered online ordering and were prompt with preparation. The food overall was decent. Forgetful and fresh. The portions were a decent size, and as with most things since covid, the prices were a bit higher than I would have liked. I am willing to.give it another try ... read more

Samurai Buffalo - Unboxing the food - Sushi Bars Near Me - East Amherst, New York

The food wasn't great, the fish didn't seem fresh. The salmon wasn't cut correctly and had fish skin on it. I would not trust this place for sashimi. The service was half okay. But there was a server who was really rude. The inside of the place looked nice and I really enjoyed how calm it was. So it's not worth 1 star, but definitely not above 3. I would not recommend. read more

Had lunch yesterday; service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our food. I had a bento box, and everything was really good. My salad was a little bit too saucy, but still good. I would definitely come back, but get my salad dressing on the side. read more

Great little spot with fantastic food! We did the all you can eat menu and the service was fast and friendly and the food was so so fresh and served piping hot! The food and portions are amazing!! I have tried Pad Thai in just about every local restaurant and theirs is by far the best.

The all-you-can-eat menu is stacked with fresh rolls, appetizers, and even desserts. Everything came out fast and beautifully plated. The fish tasted fresh, and the portions were generous without being wasteful. Staff were friendly and attentive without hovering. Great value for the price--definitely coming back for another sushi feast! read more

I tried this restaurant for takeout for the first time. I had the Pad Thai, chicken hibachi, and a Philadelphia roll. The takeout process was smooth and food waiting for me at the front when I got there. Overall I was satisfied with everything. The hibachi comes with the typical salad and miso soup, chicken, vegetables, and I opted for fried rice. A little bit on the pricey side for this dish, but everything was good. Definitely a bit on the sweeter side, especially with the yum yum sauce. I would order this again. The Pad Thai was okay, but not something I would get again. There are much better places around to get that. The sushi I had was a simple Philadelphia roll, but I have no complaints about it. Everything seemed fresh and was good. Overall this seems like a decent place. It didn't strike me as a place that I have to order from again, but I might consider if I was looking for some hibachi and sushi. read more

Pretty impressed with my Grub Hub order from here last week. The restaurant has reasonable lunch specials. I ended up getting two different sushi rolls (a spicy crab roll, which is my go to.... and a shrimp, avocado and cucumber one). Both came to just over $10 (for 12 pieces) and it was very fresh tasting, it definitely satisfied my sushi craving. I also got the Hibachi beef lunch special ($11) that came with fried rice and veggies. I ordered the rice with no onions, which was correct, but the veggies with it had onion (seemed odd to leave those in it after my no onion request) The beef was good but kind of well done and tough (maybe the filet would be more tender) ....Perhaps the Hibachi entrees would be best served in-house. I would consider ordering takeout from them again, they have a pretty wide range of entrees, maybe some Pad Thai with my sushi next time!! read more

We tried their sushi lunch special for the first time today. Our favorite sushi is Wasabi (in the Dash's plaza in Williamsville) so that is what I am comparing it to. Samurai in my opinion lacks the flavor and freshness that I have always valued at Wasabi. The Samurai crunchy spicy crab and salmon were not spicy at all and the crunchy prices were not crunchy. I would choose Wasabi over this sushi next time. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here after driving and just trying to find a good place. The outside was misleading, but once indoors it was a great surprise. The staff was friendly and attentive. The pace of the food was also very nice. I really loved the miso soup. It was saltier than most places, but that is more to my taste. The dragon roll was absolutely delicious and I've thought about it since then and can't wait to have it again. Then we get to the be to box. The gyoza was delicious and I loved the spring rolls, especially the sauce. As for the tempura shrimp... I've had tempura before, but this was the softest batter ever. It was so delicious. I can't wait to get to go there again. Overall a really awesome experience and great food. read more

We order hibachi take out monthly, today was the first time with the new owners... not even realize there was new owners. The food was horrific. Nothing like it use to be. Weird flavors.. completely different Japanese food ever experienced. Time to find a new place. read more

I stopped in here to grab 3 roll combo and honestly kinda shocked me with the lack of taste this food had. It was pretty bad. If you don't have any other options it'll do but not good. They put lettuce in my roll for shrimp tempura...lettuce....like that's not in a roll. The spicy crab did not have ANY flavor. So the only reason it gets a two is it looked clean and they were friendly but I wouldn't recommend. Taisho bistro on Sheridan is the best!!!! read more

I was in town for work and ordered delivery from this place two nights in a row. Food is fresh and delicious Delivery was always early . The delivery lady is such a sweet happy person. Since I'm out of town, I stay away from eating raw sushi and elected for some cooked ones such as the smoked salmon habachi and the eel rice bowl. Everything I ordered was well seasoned and arrived hot. If I am in town again, this is definitely a to go spot. read more

We got takeout from Samurai less than two weeks ago. I'm leaving the 5* for that. The server/manager who took our order still remembered us and made sure to get our order exactly right. The order was ready when she promised it would be, and the quality was as excellent as always. The manager was courteous, polite, and cheerful throughout all our interactions with her; if we hadn't asked her, we wouldn't have known how the pandemic had impacted her personally or the business. I wish we could order from Samurai daily to support them. I really hope that more people would support them, and I hope that they will be able to remain open for a long time to come. read more

Had the Blue Crab Appetizer and the Dragon roll. Was super tasty. Not the best dragon roll I've ever had; but, that's if I'm being super picky. However, that Blue Crab Appetizer was delicious! Coupled my meal with some Sapporo and warm Sake. Always a good time! The waitress/hostess was super pleasant and attentive. Atmosphere was on par with similar sushi establishments. I have always loved samurai ever since I was a little kid. The service is always quick and fast. The sushi is killer and I always get excited to try a new roll. I got a simple garden salad with the best ginger dressing around town. Also an avocado roll which is simple, but I wasn't too hungry. I ended up leaving the restaurant content and not too full. The restaurant usually kind of dark and a tv is always playing in the corner. I love the energy of the restaurant and love coming back with my family :) read more

ever since the new owners took over that restaurant is absolutely terrible. It took us 20 minutes for them to even take our order and she got four things about the order wrong wrong. we ended up just paying for the one bite of the fried rice that we took and leaving. It was the driest, weirdest texture everything we have talked to misses the old owners on a journey to find another good Japanese restaurant in Buffalo, because samurai is not it anymore. read more

This place is located in a strip mall near Tops and the Dollar store, so on the outset, isn't somewhere you would really go for sushi. The inside of the restaurant is pretty clean, but quite dark (the lights are quite dim). The employees were friendly and checked in on us a couple times while we were eating. I ordered the Chirashi, and my husband ordered dontaksu, and we didn't have to wait too long for both dishes to come out. Coming from the west coast, I think I had a high expectation for the freshness of the sushi...but the freshness of the sashimi at Samurai was average. Also, the Chirashi costs about $20-ish (with tax), but I don't think the amount/freshness of the sushi was worth that much. The presentation is nice with vibrant colors, and the sashimi cuts are on the thicker side, but overall taste was just average. Nothing that really melts in your mouth. :( I think the biggest advantage this place has is the accessibility to Transit and also how fast the food can be made. If you're lookin into a quick pick up meal like sushi rolls, I don't think this is a bad place, but if you're craving fresh, good sashimi, I wouldn't go here. read more
