My order contained the Super Saiyan Roll, Gyoza, Spicy Crab Roll, and Scallion Pancakes. Of all of these, the Super Saiyan Roll continues to reign supreme for me! The spicy crab roll was good - it's under the regular rolls versus specialty and so the price is good for this too. Gyoza was good .. average but good! The scallion pancakes were a new item for me (never had them anywhere) and so they tasted fine but I have nothing to compare them to. If you want to do a taste test, try the all you can eat: 30.99/Adult；20.99/Children under 12；kids under 3 eat for free (prices today, 8/9/25) Or just dine in! So far, Samurai Buffalo has been my favorite place to get rolls in the general vicinity. Give them a try!

So w/o any true competition, Wasabi is hands down the best sushi establishment in WNY! Their specialty rolls are incredibly conceived, almost artistic! And oh my are they delicious! Do not go to Wasabi and not order the WASABI CAKE ROLL! It is spectacular and used to be just a special. It became so popular they had to add it to the regular menu! I promise you'll never have any sushi better! Add the Lobster roll, Snow White roll, Sunflower roll and Maui roll (I cd go on) and it's sushi perfection! My family and I have been going to Wasabi for 25 years and it's never wavered. Always delicious and the staff is so friendly! There's no better sushi joint in Buffalo than Wasabi-hands down!

The noodles weren't overcooked and the broth was very good. If I were to come again, I would get the ramen with a marinated egg on top. The place is super nice inside and staff is very pleasant. There was no wait which was nice too.

While people recommend another nearby restaurant for fancy rolls, Wasabi was recommended for your standard type. The staff were prompt, kind, and friendly. The restaurant appeared to leave a bit to be desired. I ordered four rolls, which were small and packed into one take out container. The sushi was bland, oddly prepared, and lifeless. I've enjoyed sushi at dozens of restaurants and felt Wasabi was in the lower 10% I've ever had.

The ingredients always taste and feel very fresh, the proportion of rice to fish is always perfect and it's very easy to eat with chopsticks and doesn't fall apart. This is always my first choice any time I'm in the mood for sushi, the top quality has proven to be very consistent! I would say the Hamachi Nigri and Romantic Roll are probably my favorites, but I really enjoy exploring their menu too since everything is so good. My husband loves the Sweet Potato Roll best (: The service is always great. We are a little more on the shy and quiet side but every time we go, the people there are super kind, friendly, attentive and always have a greeting and a goodbye. It really makes you feel valued. We made sure to order a lot of takeout here during the pandemic, because I don't know what I would do if we ever lost this place.

Ichiban was on my list to visit for a long time. We decided to check out their Titanic boat and…read morecompare it to those we've had at other places. On Sunday around seven, the restaurant was practically empty. Sushi boats typically contain sashimi, nigiri, and at least two special rolls selected by the chef. The Titanic at Ichiban comes with a Christmas Roll (spicy crunchy tuna, avocado, red tobiko) and a Honado Roll (tempura fried roll with spicy tuna, avocado, cream cheese). We asked whether it's possible to have a roll without cream cheese. It turned out we couldn't substitute the Honado Roll. So, we asked just to omit the cream cheese. A while later, our server came back with a proposal: for an extra charge, we could choose any other roll we wanted. By that time, we decided to have the original version of the Honado Roll with cream cheese. So, there was a bit of a hitch right at the start. With the Titanic boat, you choose between a miso soup or a salad. The soup was too salty but generally tasty. Now, very briefly about the sushi itself. We enjoyed almost everything. The Christmas Roll was very good. The salmon was superb. The fried Honado Roll came without the cream cheese, and I thought it was the least tasty sushi roll I have ever had. The shrimp nigiri were definitely a disappointment as well. Our server was pleasant and tried to be helpful from the beginning. Later, strangely, she came over to our table right in the middle of our conversation, while we were still enjoying our meal, and asked if we needed a container for leftovers. Leftovers?! I immediately thought the restaurant was about to close and that we had overstayed our welcome, but that wasn't the case. She brought us the bill right after that, even though we hadn't asked for it yet. So, for some reason, she simply tried to speed up our exit. I'm sure Ichiban serves very good food (we saw takeouts being prepared), but I won't be going back soon, definitely not for a Titanic. One more thing, and it's definitely a downer. We received twelve pieces of nigiri instead of fourteen. I only noticed it later, while looking through the photos.

The miso soup was nicely steamy but somewhat bland and watery. The side green salad was large, fresh and delicious. The sushi deluxe plate arrived with a gorgeous presentation on a square, wooden platter. Some of the chef's choices were fantastic: The salmon, smoked salmon, tuna and mackerel were superb; three were slightly dried out and hard - oops - and on my last piece, I found a pebble in the rice. These things happen. It's surprising they don't happen more often, given the harvesting process. I probably will try to make my next visit on a weekend, when the turnover is faster.
