I had the Four Seasons dinner. It had beef, scallops, chicken and shrimp all tossed with a lot of nicely al dente and colorful veggies. I love to see both red and green peppers, mushrooms, slivers of carrots and broccoli florets. There is a choice of miso soup or a tossed salad. I had the small and very delightful salad. The lettuce was crispy with a lovely ginger based dressing. It had a nice tang. There were 14 in the dinner party; our waitress handled it perfectly. My first visit to Fuji grill. We were with a large group (14). That was no problem, they have a semi separate area for that. Our waitress was very nice, very fast and efficient. In no time we had our waters and our drinks. The food didn't take long either. Dinners come with either a salad or miso soup. The soup was very nice. Broth with miso paste, seaweed and some small pieces of tofu. I had the Black Pepper shrimp as my main course . A very nice dish with plenty of large shrimp, mushrooms, green peppers and onions. The sauce wasn't specified, but I think it was teriyaki. It came with white rice. The only disappointment was the lack of pepper. It's called "black pepper" but I didn't taste any. My husband and I have been coming to Fuji Grill over the last few years, and we can always count on a filling yet lighter meal when we dine there. Nothing worse than feeling like you have to roll out of a restaurant after you've finished eating. We typically get an appetizer with miso soup and few rolls, and a hibachi dinner to split - everything is always consistent, it's well priced and the service is quick. We never wait longer than a few minutes to get started. Lunch is great too, they have great deals that'll keep you from spending $20+ on something from wegmans prepared section. At age 16 and eating sushi for the first time, Fuji Grill was my first love. 17 years later, it is still by far my favorite place to go out for sushi! When I was younger I used to get the special rolls, which were always plated artfully and always delicious. Now I normally go for the three roll weekday/Satutday lunch special with miso soup, and stick to more traditional types of rolls. My go-tos are salmon roll, tuna roll, and spicy crunchy tuna. They are always hooked up with a nice piece of fish in each bite. The fish is very fresh and buttery, and the rice is always perfectly done. I also enjoy the hand-roll versions of these from time to time. I am never disappointed and it is always worth the money! Very friendly servers there as well, who always make you feel welcome and appreciated. If you love sushi, go here every time!! read more

My son wanted to try this restaurant for his birthday , since my nephew gave me a great review of it. We went & right away I saw the cool decor to the right at the entrance. Then, I saw the old,discolored,raggedy looking booths to the left. We were seated towards the kitchen against the right wall. I liked it there. They had dividers for privacy & I appreciated that. Our waitress was very nice , helpful & professional. Had a good sense of humor too when she saw me taking a pic of the poster behind Matty. Lol I ordered Tonkatsu Chicken , with salad & fried rice for dinner. I also got the Gyoza . I ordered General Tzo's Chicken, salad & fried rice to go. Matty ordered the Sashimi Deluxe with Miso Soup for dinner & then the Beef Negimaki with miso soup & white rice to take home. My salad, chicken & fried rice were all delicious !!!! The Gyoza was good, but I've had better. At home I tried a piece of his Beef Negimaki & it was so good ! I'll probably get that the next time. He liked his Sashimi Deluxe, he wanted me to try it but, f**k that. I don't do raw fish . I barely do cooked fish. I'm not a Seafood person. 6/9/22 Maple road location. Will not return to this location. Even during the normal dinner rush hours- this location was not busy at all. I'm also very upset that you can't get hibachi with noodles at this location. Salad: as expected. ginger dressing. Same as always. Gyoza 7/10. Was only fried on 2/3 sides. The third side was still the soft and chewy consistency of the normal dumpling wrap. There was also barely any dipping sauce. Dinner Hibachi 4/10. The rice comes on the side in a little dish- rather than a huge amount on the plate like it usually does. Our plates came out with an insane amount of sauce on it. My photo was taken after I picked all of the carrots and zucchini out- but you can see the amount of sauce still... It was drowning out the flavors of the actual food. After eating about half of my plate, the sauce was getting to be too much and the flavor of the dish became very annoying to continue eating. Vegetables 4/10. I only had 1 slice of a mushroom, and kyle did not get any. I also had about triple the normal amount of onions, which was very annoying. You can see them all mixed throughout my rice (I mixed the rice with the veggies, since that's how every other hibachi place serves it) Shrimp 8/10. Crisped on the outside, cooked and seasoned well. I love being in the area around UB north campus as it gives me a reason to stop by this location of Fugi Grill! Whether getting takeout, or stopping in for a table, the food has always been top notch. Service is very friendly and prompt. My unsweetened tea is never empty as someone is always ready to refill. Love the creativeness in the menu with options like chips and dip made of tempura fried seaweed and spicy salmon. I need to try the goyza with spicy salmon inside next time. Friendly service and tasty Japanese cuisine - Fuji Grill is your answer!! With multiple locations in the Buffalo area, Maple Road location is the closest to us! Dan and I were watching a cooking show today and they were making sushi so that gave me the idea for a sushi dinner. I called Fuji Grill to place my order and payed over the phone OR you can do it in their website. When we arrived I called them to place our bagged order in my trunk! It was convenient and a safe procedure of getting take out in the situation we're in. Okay, let me get to the food.. we order a spicy tuna roll, the Dancing specialty roll (that was amazing with yellowtail, scallop, tuna, crunchies and avocado, tuna wrapped around kimchi (different & tasty), and vegetable udon noodles. It was my husband's birthday yesterday and he chose Fuji Grill for dinner. I'm not a big fan of sushi so I worried I wouldn't love it, but it turns out to be much more and it was great! The space was small and so homey and comfortable. I really liked how it was decorated and it was a nice, calm atmosphere. We were seated quickly and also approached early and often by our friendly waitress. My husband ordered saki and he enjoyed it quite a bit, although it came so hot he had to use a napkin to pick it up! We had the vegetable tempura as an appetizer, and then he ordered miso soup to go with his chicken tonkatsu entrée and I got a salad to go with my lettuce wrap entrée. He also ordered a dynamite roll. I thought all the food was really good. I really liked the sauce with the appetizer and I thought it was fried perfectly. The salad had a peanut flavor to the dressing that I really enjoyed, better than the ginger style that often comes at a sushi and hibachi style restaurant. My lettuce wraps were the star though. I thought the flavor of the food was so great and the portion was giant. I'm someone who tends to always finish and I definitely couldn't. I didn't try my husband's food but he loved it also. Both entrées came with rice, but neither of us ate any because there was so much food. I think next time I might upgrade to fried for a dollar just because it didn't really go with my entrée and it was plain. Our waitress gave us a free mochi ice cream dessert for his birthday too! We also had the Holiday Roll, Hot and Sour Soup and Seafood Soup. The soup was fresh and plentiful with an abundance of tofu, different seafoods and vegetables in large bowls. The rolls were also fresh, very succulent, and held together after dipping in soy sauce and wasabi. The original plan was to order one dish of our choice, each, and then see how we felt before ordering more. For the first time ever including all of the other sushi restaurants including burmese/thai, we didn't have to! Since we are empty nesters and almost ready to retire, we have decided the Fuji Grill is going to be our go to for dinners when we don't feel like cooking. We also talked about the location with the Hibachi table for 2 family members birthdays in March. I like to go to the Fuji Grill with my dad when I'm home in Buffalo. The quality of their sushi has always been good, but they've never blown me away with any of their dishes. Once again, I was bored and hungry and lunch hour was approaching at work. I must say that Fuji Grill offers some amazing Lunch specials for a great price. I ordered the Teriyaki beef bento box. It came with rice, California roll, two pieces of shrimp shumai and miso soup.... all for $12. I couldn't wait to dig in, especially when I saw the entree portion. (yum) The shumai was good too, I would consider ordering a whole portion next time. My only criticism was that the sushi got mushy from the teriyaki sauce in the entree during transport, it fell apart where I couldn't pick it up with chopsticks. Maybe they should consider putting it in a separate container in the future. This was my 3rd trip to a Fuji Grill location and after my last two being fantastic, this time was no different! We came here around 7:00PM and the place was packed. Like the other locations the inside here is nicely decorated and the place has a great feel to it. I came here wanting to get a bento box but left after eating some amazing honey chicken and white rice. The chicken was bigger then I expected them to be and full of delicious honey flavour (the white rice was white rice, let's just say that). On top of amazing chicken and solid rice, the miso soup get's an A+ from me as well. I had a great dinner at Fuji Grill and both my girlfriend and my parents were very satisfied with the choice. Ordered takeout a few days ago. I've recently come to love sushi so I was super happy with how the food tasted! We ordered a spicy tuna roll, a spicy shrimp roll, and a salmon avocado roll. We also ordered chicken hibachi with fried rice. The food was delicious! The spicy tuna roll is my absolute favorite, the flavor is on point. The spicy shrimp roll was good, but lacked in flavor. I wasn't a fan of the salmon avocado roll just because I felt like it was a little heavy on the avocado and there wasn't enough fish to balance it out. The chicken and fried rice was delicious, too, but I definitely expected it to be. They're known for their hibachi and it did not disappoint. The service was lovely and I truly believe you get a lot of bang for your buck here. We will definitely be ordering from Fuji again in the future. read more
