    Spicy pork ramen
    Marissa M.

The service was excellent here. Nice people, food came out quick. No complaints there. I just really did not enjoy the food. Maybe I'm a ramen snob because it's one of my favorite foods but this ramen just did not taste good at all. It just didn't taste fresh at all, which makes sense given it is a franchise. We didn't like the chicken or the pork. Sadly I do not think we will return for ramen. The bubble tea was good. I would come back for bubble tea.

This place is so weird lol but the food is good. I've tried their spicy miso Ramen which was awesome and I've tried their cheeto burrito which manages to insult 4 different cultures in one sitting. It tasted...good but it's just weird. Really really really weird. Their sushi burrito overall again just weird. But the Ramen is good so get that! The chicken pot stickers were yummy too. Lots of sitting area both indoor and outdoors. Prices weren't bad either.

We have been excited for a new place to open in Hamburg that offers something besides the standard burger, pizza and chicken fingers that everyone else has. We stopped by today for a quick to go lunch. It wasn't busy but it was nice to see people there supporting this new business. Our order was ready in about 15-20 mins which isn't too bad. Upon taking out our ramen we were happy to see that the bowls neatly separated the noodles and toppings from the broth. Its a great idea because no one likes soggy noodles. Overall I'd say this place is pretty good but you need to know it's more of a fast casual take on ramen and not really what I'd consider to be authentic. Not that it's bad but it's good to know what to expect. I tried the shoyu ramen and the pork broth was very good. A lot of flavor and the right amount of salt. There was a nice hearty helping of pork but it was huge chunks instead of the standard meat and thin slices that usually accompany ramen. My other comment is that the noodles are standard but nothing special. I was hoping for a more authentic chewy and possibly home made noodle. My significant other had the dumpling miso ramen. He said it was pretty good and had the same comments as I did. He enjoyed the dumplings and appreciated there were plenty for a meal, 5. He thought that the miso pork broth was flavorful but was missing a touch of salt. If you like ramen and sushi it's worth checking out!

Love it! So happy they opened in Hamburg. We really needed a place for quick sushi. Went for lunch with my friend and got a tuna poke bowl (no cucumbers). It was delicious. The tuna was really fresh. Great service as well!

Limehouse today for Jen's birthday!! We had 2 different ramen bowls and 2 different sushi rolls. The sushi was phenomenal! We had the Miso Carmel Crab $13 (Kani stick, cream cheese, avocado fried with tempura batter topped with miso caramel sauce, crunch, scallion) and The Die Hard Roll $18 (Crab, tuna, salmon, cream cheese, avocado sushi roll fried with tempura batter topped with chopped shrimp tempura, spicy sauce, teriyaki sauce, tobiko, shallot, crunch, scallion) I've had the Die Hard before and it's probably my favorite sushi roll I've had, ever, anywhere! I wanted the fish fry ramen that they were advertising for lent but he said they didn't have any fish so I got the Crispy Chicken Ramen $18 (House made crispy chicken, egg, bean sprout, carrot, corn, scallion, bamboo shoots, fish cake, sesame, pork broth miso base) and we also got the Dumpling Coconut Ramen $16 (chicken broth, coconut milk, onion soup, chicken dumplings, tempura veggies, scallion, sliced red onion) this broth was rich and delicious! Now I've had the ramen before and I just don't love it. I'm not a fan of the noodles whatsoever they are almost like wheat spaghetti noodles. But I loved everything in the bowl itself. Honestly I'll just stick to the sushi there. Overall thought I do love Limehouse even though it's pretty pricey. My meal alone 1 roll, 1 bowl, 2 bottles water was $38.

    Double Dragon Roll : )

This fast casual restaurant has very warm & friendly service. They have a cold case with drinks (Ramune!), ready made sushi (vegan choices!), and slices of crepe cake. While we were there, we saw many people arrive to pick up takeout and grab things from the cold case. They have an extensive menu, with sashimi, sushi burritos, sushi rolls, dumplings (steamed and fried), big bowls of ramen, mochi ice cream, & that crepe cake that people are *crazy* about. The cashier/order taker was gracious & warm, and had great communication. We heard him explaining things to some, and though there was a line of people, he was really patient & kind with each customer. We loved everything that we ordered: Coconut Shrimp w/dipping sauce Chicken Dumplings (fried) 12 pc sashimi (tuna, yellowtail & salmon) Hello Coco Roll (shrimp, coconut flakes, sauce) Double Dragon Roll (eel & avocado) Spider Roll (fried soft shell crab) Spicy Tuna Roll (from the cold case) Dumpling Miso Ramen (perfectly jammy eggs, plump dumplings!) Crepe cake (more on this!) About that Crepe Cake... While we were there, we saw them put out 4 pieces of cake in the cold case. It was perfect dessert timing for us, so we walked over to buy one. We had no idea that apparently people WATCH for this cake & RUSH to get them as soon as they are put out! At this moment, about 3/4 of the seating areas were filled w/diners having dinner on a weeknight. Within about 10 minutes, there were no crepe cake slices left in the case! Crepe cake has only a few ingredients, but it is a labor intensive process. After all the crepes are made, a simple mixture of lightly sweetened heavy whipped cream is slathered in between each stacked layer to assemble. Some places only use 15-ish crepe layers, but Lime House uses 25 layers in their cake (yes I counted). It's no wonder that people snap these slices up as fast as they can put them out! The OG crepe cake is from Japan, and a bakery called Lady M is very well known for theirs. They are international now, in NYC & LA, and their crepe cakes are 20 crepe layers tall - and *expensive*. If Lime House was in my neighborhood, I would be very happy with their crepe cake slices - I like their slightly thicker crepes & their slightly sweeter cream. They serve a little strawberry sauce on the side, but I love the flavor of the crepe cake just plain. As with many other restaurants, Lime House has struggled to find enough employees - so next time I will follow the tip on the sign by the register & call to place my order ahead. Then I'll just pick up (like we saw a lot of people doing).

The ingredients always taste and feel very fresh, the proportion of rice to fish is always perfect and it's very easy to eat with chopsticks and doesn't fall apart. This is always my first choice any time I'm in the mood for sushi, the top quality has proven to be very consistent! I would say the Hamachi Nigri and Romantic Roll are probably my favorites, but I really enjoy exploring their menu too since everything is so good. My husband loves the Sweet Potato Roll best (: The service is always great. We are a little more on the shy and quiet side but every time we go, the people there are super kind, friendly, attentive and always have a greeting and a goodbye. It really makes you feel valued. We made sure to order a lot of takeout here during the pandemic, because I don't know what I would do if we ever lost this place.

Ichiban was on my list to visit for a long time. We decided to check out their Titanic boat and…read morecompare it to those we've had at other places. On Sunday around seven, the restaurant was practically empty. Sushi boats typically contain sashimi, nigiri, and at least two special rolls selected by the chef. The Titanic at Ichiban comes with a Christmas Roll (spicy crunchy tuna, avocado, red tobiko) and a Honado Roll (tempura fried roll with spicy tuna, avocado, cream cheese). We asked whether it's possible to have a roll without cream cheese. It turned out we couldn't substitute the Honado Roll. So, we asked just to omit the cream cheese. A while later, our server came back with a proposal: for an extra charge, we could choose any other roll we wanted. By that time, we decided to have the original version of the Honado Roll with cream cheese. So, there was a bit of a hitch right at the start. With the Titanic boat, you choose between a miso soup or a salad. The soup was too salty but generally tasty. Now, very briefly about the sushi itself. We enjoyed almost everything. The Christmas Roll was very good. The salmon was superb. The fried Honado Roll came without the cream cheese, and I thought it was the least tasty sushi roll I have ever had. The shrimp nigiri were definitely a disappointment as well. Our server was pleasant and tried to be helpful from the beginning. Later, strangely, she came over to our table right in the middle of our conversation, while we were still enjoying our meal, and asked if we needed a container for leftovers. Leftovers?! I immediately thought the restaurant was about to close and that we had overstayed our welcome, but that wasn't the case. She brought us the bill right after that, even though we hadn't asked for it yet. So, for some reason, she simply tried to speed up our exit. I'm sure Ichiban serves very good food (we saw takeouts being prepared), but I won't be going back soon, definitely not for a Titanic. One more thing, and it's definitely a downer. We received twelve pieces of nigiri instead of fourteen. I only noticed it later, while looking through the photos.

Hard working people working in this restaurant as we could see as we peaked in the kitchen on our way out the door. Small place with huge menu. Decisions, decisions on just what to order. Hubby chose the shrimp bento box. He enjoyed. I ended up with the Tom Kar soup and california rolls. I loved the soup. And it was the good kind of california rolls...not the fake crab stick...the salad style (see my pic). The decor is quirky and kind of a no frills type place. Nothing fancy or high end by any stretch. Quite a few tables occupied, and lots of takeout orders. Seems the word is out that they have delicious food. I do recommend if you want your sushi fix.

That includes clearing of items you're done with immediately and no waiting for your bill. I was never rushed; they were just great at their job! Honestly hard to find over the last few years and I was very grateful for that experience alone. The ambience was a very cozy-casual. As I was dining alone this time, I enjoyed the 80s music and videos playing on the TV haha I have to be honest ... I really really wanted to order a roll! But I'm trying to do better about trying other things. So I ordered the Atlantic mussels and the pan seared scallops with veggies with fresh ginger sauce and rice, at a spice level of 3/5. The mussels were very generous and in a large bowl. My biggest pull, aside from the mussels themselves, was that in the description it had a creamy coconut sauce. But I did not taste any coconut and it wasn't creamy. It was broth. It wasn't bad or anything, just not quite what I was expecting. I did appreciate, in general, that there were a couple of mussel options. I hadn't had them in quite some time. The dinner entree was very good. I loved that there was a 1-5 spice scale to choose from. I picked level 3 and was a little worried it wouldn't be spicy enough but it definitely was! It was perfect. The sauce was good and the scallops plump. Veggies were fresh and rice sticky. I had water to drink and it was also very good (felt it deserved a mention lol). I would definitely come back here, but I would definitely order rolls next time! It's what my heart really desires! Side note: great place to indulge in for a whole food diet! I felt very satisfied from my seafood and veggies!!
