They've changed their name and added a Japanese menu.
    Rebecca H.

I went in for lunch and saw they have a new name, a new Japanese menu, and also their old menu but with the name crossed out and "Nai" written over it. The tofu salad was great, crispy and chewy. I've had several noodle and rice dishes in the past. It's great having vegetarian options downtown.

The food here was pretty good. I ordered the Tom Yum soup, and it wasn't really like any Tom Yum soup I've had before. It was served with rice, which I thought was unusual. It was also very salty, so I took a lot of it home and watered it down a bit. It was delicious once I diluted it. I think I may have been given the wrong dish, but either way it was pretty good. I would recommend ordering take out from here - we dined in, but there was no music, and our drinks were bottled. A very nice little girl took our order and rang us out. If I come here again, I might try the sushi.

Visited this place while on a business trip with colleagues for lunch. The service was nice and friendly and swift. I had the Pai Thai noodles with chicken and shrimp which were good. My colleagues enjoyed their meals as well.

Friendly service and yummy noodles. I'll be back to try more dishes! Looks like a lot of people call ahead for pickup. I stopped in to order and the wait was pretty short.

This was my favorite place in West side bazaar and Yellow noodle salad was always my go-to and that has not changed till date. I am so happy for the Burmese family that could expand into their own restaurant in downtown Buffalo. I am slightly ashamed that I have delayed writing this place a review for so long when I've already visited the place at least 5 times. The quality was consistent every time I've been and you bet I ordered yellow noodle salad every time I've been there. I'm a vegetarian so they kindly remove the meat part in the dish and serve it with sliced egg instead. It has a very unique flavor that's unlike any Indian or Burmese food I've had that keeps me coming back. It's redundant to mention that it's absolutely delicious! They actually have a decent space in downtown Buffalo where large parties can easily dine. Their menu is extensive from sushi to noodles to rice and everything my friends have ever tried has been great too (fried yellow noodle, seaweed salad, pad see u). The family that runs this are very sweet and accommodating if you have dietary restrictions. Even though this place is a lot further away from my office than some of the other places, I make a point of going there at least once a month. I cannot recommend this place more. It delivers authentic food at a very reasonable price in a central location.

    FRIED DUMPLING 7/10
    Kimberley A.

Fried dumplings- chicken 7/10. They were good but they didn't come with the sweet teriyaki/dumpling sauce or whatever it is that dumplings normally come with, only a tiny packet of soy sauce. So that automatically makes them not as good. And they didn't really have much flavor on their own either. And they're not the best with just plain soy sauce. It's not the right flavor or taste that you want to keep eating. They're fried well though. Samosas 2/10. I didn't like these. Something about the spices with the potato inside tastes funny to me. The sauces that came with them was a weird hot sauce and blue cheese mixture and a sriracha hot sauce. Not even anything remotely close to being Asian dipping sauces.

My goodness! What a gem. I got lunch here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and have been going back a couple of times per week since. I typically get the Shan noodle salad with curry chicken which is a riot of flavor. The menu has a ton of other Burmese specialties and I'm excited to try as many of them as I can. Highly recommend! We're so fortunate to have this vibrant Burmese community in Western New York

What a great new food place in a perfect location close to many offices downtown. We have ordered take out a few times so far and we love it !! The fried kong poa gyi is our favorite, but the pad Thai is also great. I usually get sushi with my food too, their spicy California roll is the best. Sometime they have a special price on their sushi's. Lovely Owner who cares about his business, he makes sure everyone get their food on time.

    Shrimp Tempura Roll
    Daviyion J.

I ordered food for takeout for me and my partner and wanted to try a few different things since we've never been here before. We ordered the Garlic Noodle, Shan Noodle, Tempura Shrimp Roll, and Samosas. Everything we tried was delicious with my stand out favorite being the Shan noodle. Don't even know how to really describe the flavors, but it was so good! The portions didn't seem as big as I expected looking at the size of the containers they came in but actually were very a perfect portion once plated. Saw way I felt about how dry the meals looks in the container (see pics), but once you stir it up its much saucy enough. The tempura roll was good and definitely would recommend the samosas too.

Today I am trying the tea leaf salad. It is a whole bunch of goodness. Lots of tea leaves, crunchy beans and peanuts and a great, garlicky dressing. Definitely a good tea leaf salad

    Chicken garlic soup
    Alex L.

Um, wow. How have I never tried the chicken garlic soup before? This is one of those foods that is an amazing gift to mankind, especially in the winter time. It is unlike anything I've ever had before and priced very reasonably at under $5. Forget ramen. Forget pho. Get the chicken garlic soup here. Unless you hate garlic, you won't regret it. The broth is rich and deep and full of delicious noodles and floating garlic. It is pungent and the garlic game in this soup is strong, so have some gum on hand or plan to postpone your kissing activities for a few hours after the meal here. Trust, it's worth it. It's served with a fresh lime..squeezing it into the soup creates a great flavor. Thank you, Fox -- for your review turned me onto this soup. It is incredible!

I can't pronounce it but I want to eat it. That's what she said.

Since my last visit, it's been continuously a fun and very affordable place. Don't expect exceptional quality, because it's still mostly about quantity. Some of the special rolls look pretty amazing, but we tried to avoid spicy tuna, spicy salmon etc., and crunchy toppings. Those are the components which are generously used and add volume. Also, be prepared to eat too much rice, although we tried not to. My favorite rolls were Coral and King. The Yellowtail Jalapeno was cut very thin, but with Pepper Tuna is a must to order. The Rainbow Roll could have had more fish, then I wouldn't complain about its appearance ;). We didn't have anything from the 'Kitchen Entrees' focusing just on the sushi menu. Besides Salmon Bites, which we both agreed tasted a little bit fishy, everything was fresh and very good. They were out of ice cream, the only dessert that wasn't even on the menu. Lowering your expectations is also a good approach. The place was packed on Saturday evening, but we still got a table right away. It was located at the back of the room, next to the cash registers. Next time, I would definitely prefer to wait for better seating. Did I overeat? Yes, I did, but no regrets, and I would do it again :). The cucumber and kani salad were very good. We tried all three sushi appetizers. Beef gyozas and shrimp tempura from the kitchen appetizers section were yum. The tempura was pleasantly crunchy, and I almost ordered more. Our favorite things were classic rolls, salmon and yellowtail. The least favorite were the Classic Roll with Spicy Salmon and the Queen Roll with spicy tuna. No offense, but I thought spicy salmon and tuna that evening were pretty bad with absolutely no taste. I compared it to eating sawdust, but actually I've never eaten sawdust, so it was kind of mean from my side. We liked the flavors in general. The Christmas, the Rainbow, the Hollywood and the Dancing Crab (the most handsome) rolls were all very tasty. Perhaps due to the restaurant's high volume, some of our food was prepared very sloppily. I can only imagine how quickly all the chefs had to work to fulfill all the orders. They still should maintain some standard, in my opinion. Well, that's the consequence of visiting during the busiest time of the week, I suppose. Our server, Anna, was really pleasant. She thanked us for ordering extra sashimi for additional cost (still low). She also complimented the way we were ordering. My dining companion knew what to choose from the menu, and we gave her a longer list of dishes so Anna didn't have to check on us as often. It just worked out perfectly for us. Oh! There was this guy helping with the food service. He was probably in training, or maybe just filling in, or maybe just helping out on the weekends. His mood and attitude were pretty bad, but my companion said I should be more relaxed about it ;). Anyway, I'll be back. We had a lot of fun. Someday, I'd like to order from the regular menu for comparison. Maybe the special rolls are bigger and look tidier? The Sushi Queen is a good place to check out for an affordable dining experience.

Honestly hard to find over the last few years and I was very grateful for that experience alone. The ambience was a very cozy-casual. As I was dining alone this time, I enjoyed the 80s music and videos playing on the TV haha I have to be honest ... I really really wanted to order a roll! But I'm trying to do better about trying other things. So I ordered the Atlantic mussels and the pan seared scallops with veggies with fresh ginger sauce and rice, at a spice level of 3/5. The mussels were very generous and in a large bowl. My biggest pull, aside from the mussels themselves, was that in the description it had a creamy coconut sauce. But I did not taste any coconut and it wasn't creamy. It was broth. It wasn't bad or anything, just not quite what I was expecting. I did appreciate, in general, that there were a couple of mussel options. I hadn't had them in quite some time. The dinner entree was very good. I loved that there was a 1-5 spice scale to choose from. I picked level 3 and was a little worried it wouldn't be spicy enough but it definitely was! It was perfect. The sauce was good and the scallops plump. Veggies were fresh and rice sticky. I had water to drink and it was also very good (felt it deserved a mention lol). I would definitely come back here, but I would definitely order rolls next time! It's what my heart really desires! Side note: great place to indulge in for a whole food diet! I felt very satisfied from my seafood and veggies!!

My friends both ordered the seafood tempura thinking this would be the size of a meal or at least include rice. Everything I ordered was about 3-4 bites of food, the sushi was 6 very tiny pieces. The sushi was good and if I ever went back I'd order more. The jelly fish was crunchy and interesting and I ordered it for the experience so I enjoyed it.
