My friend and I are going around the world with food right here in Buffalo, so we stopped in for a small taste of Thai food... Since this was our 4th stop, we only ordered a salad called LARB (which have special meaning to me) with seafood. It was amazing!! Fresh, refreshing... so good... They have quite an extensive menu and many flavors of bubble tea as well... We will come back!

    Trying a new place today

We were in the area and wanted to try something new. Atmosphere wise, this little restaurant doesn't offer much. Its a very quiet restaurant with a humble couple of tables. Not much decor wise, and a few holes patched up with duct tape. Looks a little rundown, but the staff are kind and polite, and the food is amazing! They warned us about how long the food would take and we happily waited. Food ordered- Honeydew Bubble Tea: The tea tasted amazing. Was sweet and chilled and was a really refreshing drink. Bobas were just okay, but the tea was worth it Fried Veggie Dumplings: They were crispy and delicious! The dumpling sauce provided really tied the flavor together. Crab Rangoons: 12 small crispy puff balls that offer just the right amount of crab filling. The sauce provided had a very tiny zing to it but it was very good! Coconut Soup: I hate soup but my friend wanted me to try. It was a very nice, sweet, creamy soup with a slight flavor of coconut. I actually really enjoyed it and was surprised I did! Fried Shrimp Roll: Had to close with some sushi, and they really made this well! It tasted super good and I would definitely get this again. What this restaurant lacks in ambiance it makes up for with hospitality and amazing food. I would highly recommend checking them out!

A friend told about this restaurant so a friend of mine and me decided to give it a shot. When I pulled up to the place my friend was standing outside. The neighborhood looked pretty bad and the restaurant shabby from the outside. He wanted to go somewhere else so I looked up their Yelp reviews. After reading the positive reviews we decided to give them a shot. Dive's don't bother me if they have good food. I'd rather pay less for good food without the high prices charged for fancy decor. We started with fried egg rolls and fresh rolls with shrimp both were good. The peanut sauce was just average. I had the Pad Thai and he had the Burmese fried rice with shrimp. We both loved our food. Service was great although the lady didn't seem to speak much English. Prices were cheap for the quality of food.

Most definitely this is a family restaurant operated by a wonderful couple who really care about the food they prepare. The menu offers a wide range of Burmese and Thai dishes at very reasonable prices. They tend to spice on the mild side, so if you want more flavor, be sure to mention that when you order. There is seating in the restaurant, and they do a considerable amount of take-out. Dining here is very casual. As you can see from the many reviews that the food is generally excellent. This restaurant is on the very popular #5 Metro Bus route, so you can get here easily from UB South Campus, Downtown and just about everywhere in between.

This is my first time at this place. When I walk in, there are no guests sitting down so i was alone and the owner well who i think is the owner came out of the kitchen and thought I had ordered something. I eventually ordered something and he himself took the order and then went back to the kitchen. So he is a chef and he a cashier and does delivery by himself! Much respect and I gave him a small tip . Place is small. I don't think there are any bathrooms in there though I never got up to check. So for the atmosphere I'm giving it a 3 star. It isn't bad but just very empty therefore kinda uninviting. I ordered the beef curry which comes with white rice, pork dumplings, cheesecake, and a strawberry smoothie. Smoothie was definitely real as in they used real strawberries and it wasn't drowned in fructose syrup. With that being said, it wasn't super sweet, but just right especially with the food I ordered. Very hardy food i ordered. It was refreshing and a nice texture so that is a mega plus! The dumplings were also good and savory. Dunno what kind of sauce that was but if it was soy sauce, it definitely wasn't your typical soy sauce. It wasn't super salty and sour. It was comforting really! The Beef curry was hardy and good and had a wonderful sweet aroma to it too, but there definitely needed to be more sauce. The curry was more so big chunks of beef than anything else. It The cheesecake was good. They didn't have strawberry or raspberry sauce so they'd used chocolate sauce. The cheesecake itself was thick and it wasn't really cold so I'm wondering if it was a fresh batch or whatever i dunno but it wasn't too rich for me to not be able to finish it all so I love that. Everything was good. I don't really have any complaints. I will be back but next time I may just do take out or bring a friend who likes Thai food cuz being alone kinda sucked a little bit you know. Shout out to the owner and the other worker! Thank you!

    T2. Fried Wontons
    Daviyion J.

I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken (10.99) and the pork wontons ($6.50) and was not disappointed. The pad Thai was flavorful and the medium spice level was what I expected (definitely want to go back for hotter levels). There was a good amount of chicken in the dish and the noodles were not over cooked. The wontons were wontons and came with a sweet-and-sour sauce basically something I've had it lots of other restaurants but that wasn't a bad thing because they tasted great. I ordered my meal to-go so I can't comment on the dine-in service, but the staff were prompt and attentive when I came to grab my order and it look like a pleasant place to grab a quick meal. Will return to try many more things on their menu. Very reasonable prices.

This place has a ton of potential. The food is delicious! If you're limited on time, you may need to call ahead. The menu is robust and they seem to have all of the Thai and Burmese favorites. So many options made it hard to choose and I was already planning my next trip before I placed my order. During my first visit, I went with coworkers. I made it a point to order something I had never tried before. I rarely play it safe. The inexpensive menu made it easy to venture out. I ordered the Burmese noodle salad. The flavors were AMAZING! Luckily, my coworkers allowed me to taste their dishes also, and everyone made excellent choices! That was not a coincidence. My conclusion is that everything is delicious! My experience that day was so good, I brought my family back there the next evening. Though the service was slow, we found it to be worth it. From appetizers to entrees to bubble teas, everyone had happy tummies when we were done. I highly recommend

If you like Thai and Burmese food, give this family Thai restaurant in Buffalo NY, a try. We stopped by buffalo for lunch on our way back from Niagara fall visit. Food tasted great, the prices are very reasonable. We ordered Burmese style fried pork ribs, pad Kee Mao, coconut chicken noodle soup, Nan Gyi Thote and sushi rolls. We cleaned out the plates. So, don't let outside neighborhood and decor fool you. The food is tasty .

    Burmese Vermicelli Noodles $9.99
    Mark D.

We discovered this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The place was empty and clean. We ordered a Tom Yum, Tom Kha, Beef Curry and White rice, and a Burmese Vermicelli Noodles. The soups were delicious. The beef curry had good flavor and consistency for a South Asian styled curry. The dishes were lacking spice, and is probably something I will ask for in the future. The entrees were about $9.99 each, and the soups were 4.99 each. As we were the only ones in there, it frankly felt like I was eating in their home. I am hoping this place is busier at other times, as I would love to see this place flourish.

Not exactly the amount I thought I'd get for $11 but okay. It's good though. Yumm

The food was freaking delicious! It really was.bi was impressed with the taste. I was not however happy with the portion size. It could have been bigger. It kind of reminded me of the portion sizes you get in the mall when they're handing out samples of bourbon chicken and orange chicken, trying to get you to buy some. You get just enough. Anywhooooo the can't tell you what I ordered. I took pictures though. They're attached, I was looking at pictures and kind of modified the meal. I wanted something with a lot of vegetables and noodles. Ooooouuuhhh weeeee bit was smacking good.bir was finger delicious but kind of reminded me of the oyster sauce you get at Chinese buffetts when you get your food cooked to order in front of you. That's nasty if over used. Anyway it was spicy but not to much the pasta was amazing. some long flat type of noodle. it appeared home made just I don't know if it was. I did not like the shrimp at all. They were very big pieces but very nasty. They tasted dirty. I tried to eat them but they made me gag. The customer service needs improvement. The teenage looking girl was nice initially but lacked many customer service skills. I would buy from them again because it was Soo good but next time I'm telling them that the service was trash.

Quaint place - it's not a place you're going to write home about but if you're looking for some authenticity and a cheap, fun, laid back date this is a great place to check out. The Burmese style noodle was tasty. It wasn't doused with oil so you could taste the flavor of the ingredients and sauce. The Thai noodle soup was bland at first but I added the chili paste and it heated up nicely. It was definitely the comfort food I was looking for. We had an entire pot of green tea and a restaurant to ourselves to enjoy a laid back, causal dinner for two.

Lowering your expectations is also a good approach. The place was packed on Saturday evening, but we still got a table right away. It was located at the back of the room, next to the cash registers. Next time, I would definitely prefer to wait for better seating. Did I overeat? Yes, I did, but no regrets, and I would do it again :). The cucumber and kani salad were very good. We tried all three sushi appetizers. Beef gyozas and shrimp tempura from the kitchen appetizers section were yum. The tempura was pleasantly crunchy, and I almost ordered more. Our favorite things were classic rolls, salmon and yellowtail. The least favorite were the Classic Roll with Spicy Salmon and the Queen Roll with spicy tuna. No offense, but I thought spicy salmon and tuna that evening were pretty bad with absolutely no taste. I compared it to eating sawdust, but actually I've never eaten sawdust, so it was kind of mean from my side. We liked the flavors in general. The Christmas, the Rainbow, the Hollywood and the Dancing Crab (the most handsome) rolls were all very tasty. Perhaps due to the restaurant's high volume, some of our food was prepared very sloppily. I can only imagine how quickly all the chefs had to work to fulfill all the orders. They still should maintain some standard, in my opinion. Well, that's the consequence of visiting during the busiest time of the week, I suppose. Our server, Anna, was really pleasant. She thanked us for ordering extra sashimi for additional cost (still low). She also complimented the way we were ordering. My dining companion knew what to choose from the menu, and we gave her a longer list of dishes so Anna didn't have to check on us as often. It just worked out perfectly for us. Oh! There was this guy helping with the food service. He was probably in training, or maybe just filling in, or maybe just helping out on the weekends. His mood and attitude were pretty bad, but my companion said I should be more relaxed about it ;). Anyway, I'll be back. We had a lot of fun. Someday, I'd like to order from the regular menu for comparison. Maybe the special rolls are bigger and look tidier? The Sushi Queen is a good place to check out for an affordable dining experience.

On Sunday around seven, the restaurant was practically empty. Sushi boats typically contain sashimi, nigiri, and at least two special rolls selected by the chef. The Titanic at Ichiban comes with a Christmas Roll (spicy crunchy tuna, avocado, red tobiko) and a Honado Roll (tempura fried roll with spicy tuna, avocado, cream cheese). We asked whether it's possible to have a roll without cream cheese. It turned out we couldn't substitute the Honado Roll. So, we asked just to omit the cream cheese. A while later, our server came back with a proposal: for an extra charge, we could choose any other roll we wanted. By that time, we decided to have the original version of the Honado Roll with cream cheese. So, there was a bit of a hitch right at the start. With the Titanic boat, you choose between a miso soup or a salad. The soup was too salty but generally tasty. Now, very briefly about the sushi itself. We enjoyed almost everything. The Christmas Roll was very good. The salmon was superb. The fried Honado Roll came without the cream cheese, and I thought it was the least tasty sushi roll I have ever had. The shrimp nigiri were definitely a disappointment as well. Our server was pleasant and tried to be helpful from the beginning. Later, strangely, she came over to our table right in the middle of our conversation, while we were still enjoying our meal, and asked if we needed a container for leftovers. Leftovers?! I immediately thought the restaurant was about to close and that we had overstayed our welcome, but that wasn't the case. She brought us the bill right after that, even though we hadn't asked for it yet. So, for some reason, she simply tried to speed up our exit. I'm sure Ichiban serves very good food (we saw takeouts being prepared), but I won't be going back soon, definitely not for a Titanic. One more thing, and it's definitely a downer. We received twelve pieces of nigiri instead of fourteen. I only noticed it later, while looking through the photos.
