We decided to get some takeout from Yummy Thai as we were looking for restaurants which were open on a Sunday night. We both decided to try something new, along with a Thai tea. The Thai tea tasted peculiar, but both dishes were very flavorful and made well. I ordered the Pad See Ew with chicken made Thai hot, and it was good. I got the mild to feel out the spice level (it was truly mild), in the future I'm going to try a higher spice level for the Pad Thai. It was really good. While I wish Yummy Thai had sit-down service, this is legit the best Thai I've tasted in ages, in Buffalo! We got Basil fried rice, spring rolls, Tom kha soup, Chicken pad Thai, and Sesame chicken. From start to end, our meal was exquisite. -Basil fried rice had such a unique and fresh flavor! Who knew rice could be made to taste special or unique?! -Tom kha had a great coconut flavor, and ingredients were deep and rich. Warning: we ordered medium, and it had a strong heat to it. -sesame chicken was perfect! Great spice, and the chicken didn't feel soupy or overly sauced. Also, black rice? Fantastic! Yummy thai is always really good! I always get the drunken noodles with chicken on spice level 2, and sticky rice! I've also tried the dumplings and the thai iced tea. Both were satisfying as well. If anything, the spice can be a bit inconsistent. read more

Thai Street Noodles was a dish I never had before so I didn't know what to expect. I had the option of spice: Mild, medium, hot and extra hot. I orderes this dish mild, because I wasn't sure what this restaurants version of "mild" would be. That was probably my mistake, the dish was flavorless despite the array of vegetables and meat surrounding the noodles in the sauce. There shop itself is pretty small and looks run down on the outside. It's not a place I would've visited if it wasn't on Yelp's sponsored results. They have about 6 to 7 parking spots in front of the restaurant, but inside hardly sits 5 groups or even individuals. It was easy to find as they have a pretty noticeable sign. Not sure if it would be the same situation at night. I ordered pick up and the cashier was nice and fast, the food was ready within 15-20 minutes of ordering. The pork and noodles in the pad see ew were not fresh. They were a little hard and unappetizing. Both the noodles and pork were most likely frozen for a while. Disappointed and not worth $13. I wouldn't even pay $10 for it again. The pork pad thai was okay, better than the pad see ew, but it was also not worth 13$ (11.99 + tax). read more

Exactly as the name states it was yummy but could use a few tweaks. Our order contained chicken pad Thai, pineapple fried rice with pork, and Golden triangles. The golden triangles were good with decent amount of filling. They were a little on the lite side and could have used a little more time in the fryer as you can see by the picture. Came with sweet and sour sauce. If you love the sauce be sure to order an extra side of it. I really love to smother the triangles in the sauce. Chicken pad Thai was good. A little on the dry side, I would definitely ask for extra sauce here as well. Filled with peanuts and sprouts the dish was fresh and chicken was tasty. Pineapple fried rice was lacking in pineapple but when you did happen to get a piece of pineapple, that mixed with the rice was delicious. We ordered ours with pork that also felt dried out. I ordered the jungle Thai curry thinking it was in green curry however it was not, my fault. I wasn't too upset about it because I also like red curry. Today my order was like spicy red water but nasty. I called to let them know and asked if I could order the green veggie curry which is my go to, he said yes and I ran back around there to pick it up, a little disappointing that he charges me. I asked for a discount as he rings me out he smiles and says you have to ask my boss. Of course it's too late money's gone. Still no problem because I selected the entree. The guy checking me out is holding his head down with a smirk but then another guy walks out smiling at me as well. Didn't know what that was about or if it was just me but a bit weird. This place has NEVER disappointed me. Even their salads are yum. It is indeed "yummy" Thai. Its my go to place. We stumbled upon it on a date night and have never looked back. Their Panang curry is the best in town. Their desserts are not sickly sweet and is of the right consistency. Their lemongrass duck was so crispy even after we packed and brought some home. I love their Pad thai, their curries and basically everything on their menu. The thai salad that they have has this incredible sauce that I think they should sell in bottles and I will be their first customer and stay like that for a long long time. I am a Thai food snob. This is the first place I've found in Buffalo that is even close to as good as places I love in other cities. The main star of the meal was the saute sampler. Most Thai places have chicken saute (curry marinated grilled chicken skewers). It's a must-order dish for me as I think it's a good way to judge a Thai place. Well, wait for this, Yummy Thai has a sample of chicken, beef, and shrimp saute. It was so good! Each skewer was packed with flavor, perfectly moist, and grilled to perfection. Yes, it's an odd dish to base a restaurant on, but I want to eat this every day! The rest of our dishes were a-ok (healthy garlic w/chicken, pad thai, and pad ke mao). Just the perfect amount of everything from sauce to ratio of ingredients. The golden triangles are similar to crab ragoon. They are just as good as any other place but definitely more expensive than other places which makes it not worth ordering again for me. The pinapple fried rice was not good. Let me start off by saying that we ordered take out, which probably is not as good as eating in the restaurant. My friend raved about Yummy Thai so I finally tried it. I was super excited and it actually is not my favourite Thai place. Anyway, we ordered the Paid Thai with shrimp and one of the flat noodle dishes with chicken. The Pad Thai was more bland that other Thai places that I've tried. We even ordered it medium and it did not have much of a kick to it. The flat noodle dish was very spicy and we also ordered that medium. We finished the dishes off the next day and they still tasted good. It's important for leftovers to taste good the next day. We also ordered the summer rolls with shrimp. They're filled with vegetables and come with a side of sauce. Very tasty, but again not my favourite fresh roll in Buffalo. What really bothers me here is the price. We ordered take out and we picked the order up, yet the bill was over $40. That's quite expensive and I believe you can find this food cheaper and of better quality at another place. However, we ordered takeout and I should probably taste the food there to really see what it's all about. Overall, it's not my favourite Thai place and if you want me to recommend a Thai place, I will not say here. Give it a try and see what you think. Perhaps it's better inside the restaurant. When you have a name like Yummy Thai, you kind of have to be yummy, right? Well, it was my job on Saturday to find out if they really were yummy for myself......this is my story. I visited this Yummy Thai location on Saturday while trying to fix my craving for, well, you guessed it, some yummy Thai food. My girlfriend suggested we try this place out since it wasn't too far from home. When we arrived the place was completely empty and the waiter was quick to seat us and provide the basics. I was very pleased with the variety on the menu and struggle to pick just one meal to order. I ended up settling on the Peanut King (it's a cool name, let's be real) which was chicken, mixed with vegetables, and some Thai peanut sauce. Thanks to a change of plans on the fly, we had to get our food to go and our waiter was nice enough to have our food put in to-go containers so we could enjoy it after. When I was actually able to eat the food a little after I was super impressed with both the portions and the quality of the food. The entire meal was absolutely delicious! The meal had a decent amount of chicken in it, plenty of veggies, a plethora of sticky white rice, and enough of that delicious peanut sauce to cover every square inch of my food. Overall, this is a great place to get some Thai food! The restaurant has plenty of seating, a friendly staff, and the food is tasty enough to make any Thai fan happy. Terrible experience ordering delivery through Door Dash. I ordered food that took over two hours to get, over an hour longer than the anticipated delivery time. Although much of the fault was on Door Dash we called the restaurant to seek assistance, as they were also closing at this point, and they informed us the food has been ready for over 40 minutes. My husband had a Roasted Duck Pad Kee Mow( I know the name is insanely phunny for Bengalis). The food there is honestly one of the best Thai food I have ever tasted in Buffalo. When you first arrive at Yummy Thai, the exterior belies the wonders within. It looks like a little house, which was a novelty to me because the Thai restaurants I usually go to are in strip malls. I went two days ago with my boyfriend and friend. All three of us loved it here. When you first walk in, there's a lot of space inside. Each table has a freshly cut rose on it, which I thought was a nice touch. The booth we sat at was comfortable and our waitress was personable. They have a pretty big menu, so we all took a a while to figure out what we wanted. Our food came out quickly, even though my boyfriend had been misheard and got spring rolls instead of the street noodle that he had ordered. It was an accident and not a big deal, as it was rectified immediately. I got the stir fry black rice with peanut sauce. I was bound to like it, since black rice is one of my favorite things to get at a restaurant. I simply loved my food. The sauce alone was worth writing home about. The rice was delicious and the pork that came with it was so tender and cooked perfectly. The flavors complimented each other well and I was kind of sad when I had eaten everything. My friend got pad Thai and she said it was the best she'd ever had. Based on the food alone, I give this restaurant 5 stars. I'll probably suggest it to everyone I know for the next few years. We ordered Pad Thai, coconut soup, BBQ combination, and curry beef. The food was ready very fast and amazingly delicious. Had a hint of spicy that worked extremely well with the sauce that Pad Thai is usually cooked in. - Fried Tofu: I asked for soy sauce on the side for dipping, I did not not enjoy the dipping sauce that it came with. - Chicken Spring Rolls: My least favorite dish. But it was good regardless. The spring rolls were really crispy but I wish it had more chicken. - Thai Iced Tea: A little expensive for the amount they gave us.
