    Fresh Summer Rolls with Shrimp
    Wayne B.

Living in North Buffalo, we haven't had neighborhood Thai since Taste on Hertel closed. That changed today! While I wish Yummy Thai had sit-down service, this is legit the best Thai I've tasted in ages, in Buffalo! We got Basil fried rice, spring rolls, Tom kha soup, Chicken pad Thai, and Sesame chicken. From start to end, our meal was exquisite. -Basil fried rice had such a unique and fresh flavor! Who knew rice could be made to taste special or unique?! -Tom kha had a great coconut flavor, and ingredients were deep and rich. Warning: we ordered medium, and it had a strong heat to it. -sesame chicken was perfect! Great spice, and the chicken didn't feel soupy or overly sauced. Also, black rice? Fantastic! Pay the $2 for extra chicken and get food for days! -pad Thai had a good flavor. Not unique, but if you're new to Thai and need a safe, yummy dish, it's a good way to go.

    Thai street noodles!

Ordered delivery through Door dash for this restaurant. The food was delivered ahead of schedule and arrived hot. It looked very appetizing as well. Thai Street Noodles was a dish I never had before so I didn't know what to expect. I had the option of spice: Mild, medium, hot and extra hot. I orderes this dish mild, because I wasn't sure what this restaurants version of "mild" would be. That was probably my mistake, the dish was flavorless despite the array of vegetables and meat surrounding the noodles in the sauce. The vegetables, tofu and chicken were nice and tender and were prepared well, it was just very bland. I will try this restaurant again, but I will be more wary with my flavor choices.

    Green Curry

I ordered the jungle Thai curry thinking it was in green curry however it was not, my fault. I wasn't too upset about it because I also like red curry. Today my order was like spicy red water but nasty. I called to let them know and asked if I could order the green veggie curry which is my go to, he said yes and I ran back around there to pick it up, a little disappointing that he charges me. I asked for a discount as he rings me out he smiles and says you have to ask my boss. Of course it's too late money's gone. Still no problem because I selected the entree. The guy checking me out is holding his head down with a smirk but then another guy walks out smiling at me as well. Didn't know what that was about or if it was just me but a bit weird. Anyway, I get back home and the green curry is not green but tanish and when I tasted it, it didn't taste like green curry I've had and. I've given them a few chances already but these days food is way too expensive to except subpar even for convenience. Previously I was disappointed by the portion sizes and the lack of flavor but this will be my last time as I just spent about $40 on two spicy watery non curry tasting meals. Guess they're just still declining so I'll drive the extra few minutes to Nine at Night or Saigon. I tried.

    Pork Pad see ew

There shop itself is pretty small and looks run down on the outside. It's not a place I would've visited if it wasn't on Yelp's sponsored results. They have about 6 to 7 parking spots in front of the restaurant, but inside hardly sits 5 groups or even individuals. It was easy to find as they have a pretty noticeable sign. Not sure if it would be the same situation at night. I ordered pick up and the cashier was nice and fast, the food was ready within 15-20 minutes of ordering. The pork and noodles in the pad see ew were not fresh. They were a little hard and unappetizing. Both the noodles and pork were most likely frozen for a while. Disappointed and not worth $13. I wouldn't even pay $10 for it again. The pork pad thai was okay, better than the pad see ew, but it was also not worth 13$ (11.99 + tax).

    Pineapple fried rice

Exactly as the name states it was yummy but could use a few tweaks. Our order contained chicken pad Thai, pineapple fried rice with pork, and Golden triangles. The golden triangles were good with decent amount of filling. They were a little on the lite side and could have used a little more time in the fryer as you can see by the picture. Came with sweet and sour sauce. If you love the sauce be sure to order an extra side of it. I really love to smother the triangles in the sauce. Chicken pad Thai was good. A little on the dry side, I would definitely ask for extra sauce here as well. Filled with peanuts and sprouts the dish was fresh and chicken was tasty. Pineapple fried rice was lacking in pineapple but when you did happen to get a piece of pineapple, that mixed with the rice was delicious. We ordered ours with pork that also felt dried out. I would like to try other dishes and perhaps request extra sauce to give it a real try. I'll be back for another try

    Beef Panang Curry

This place has NEVER disappointed me. Even their salads are yum. It is indeed "yummy" Thai. Its my go to place. We stumbled upon it on a date night and have never looked back. Their Panang curry is the best in town. Their desserts are not sickly sweet and is of the right consistency. Their lemongrass duck was so crispy even after we packed and brought some home. I love their Pad thai, their curries and basically everything on their menu. The thai salad that they have has this incredible sauce that I think they should sell in bottles and I will be their first customer and stay like that for a long long time. My favourite restaurant for sure. The prices are reasonable and fits the bell. Their flavors always burst and I can't recommend them enough.

Of course no problem. We still got there and food was ready by 1145. He told us he came in a little early make sure it was done! How nice was that. He also threw in a free Thai tea drink for us! Which was absolutely delicious. All the food was just packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. We ordered the coconut shrimp. I don't eat shrimp but everyone said it was amazing. Then we also had the crab rangoon, let me tell you by far some of the best I've had. Normally you get a ragoon filled with cream cheese and hardly any crab, this was the opposite. These were plump and fried to perfection filled with tons of crab! For entries we went with the Burnese beef fried rice, Papaya salad, stir fried pork ribs and sesame chicken. Everything was amazing. The papaya salad you have an option to pick your heat level 1 thru 5, we went a two, which he explained was medium. Well the two was spicyyyyy. So depending on your heat sensors, order with caution. For me the heat was perfect, I definitely could not have went any higher, but a few people in the party struggled a bit. My man what an absolute flavor bomb! Loved that the sesame chicken was all white meat! I don't eat ribs but everyone said amazing, it was packaged with potatoes, and I ate some of those, and again, delicious!!!! So glad my parents introduced me to this spot! I'll be back!!

That includes clearing of items you're done with immediately and no waiting for your bill. I was never rushed; they were just great at their job! Honestly hard to find over the last few years and I was very grateful for that experience alone. The ambience was a very cozy-casual. As I was dining alone this time, I enjoyed the 80s music and videos playing on the TV haha I have to be honest ... I really really wanted to order a roll! But I'm trying to do better about trying other things. So I ordered the Atlantic mussels and the pan seared scallops with veggies with fresh ginger sauce and rice, at a spice level of 3/5. The mussels were very generous and in a large bowl. My biggest pull, aside from the mussels themselves, was that in the description it had a creamy coconut sauce. But I did not taste any coconut and it wasn't creamy. It was broth. It wasn't bad or anything, just not quite what I was expecting. I did appreciate, in general, that there were a couple of mussel options. I hadn't had them in quite some time. The dinner entree was very good. I loved that there was a 1-5 spice scale to choose from. I picked level 3 and was a little worried it wouldn't be spicy enough but it definitely was! It was perfect. The sauce was good and the scallops plump. Veggies were fresh and rice sticky. I had water to drink and it was also very good (felt it deserved a mention lol). I would definitely come back here, but I would definitely order rolls next time! It's what my heart really desires! Side note: great place to indulge in for a whole food diet! I felt very satisfied from my seafood and veggies!!

They serve top notch Thai food. What makes them extra special however is their service. The owner always greets diners with warmth. Tonight's message, "How are you? It's good to see you again." My server clearly understands the importance of caring friendly service and he treated me as a valued guest. The dining room is comfortable and quiet, which is perfect for dining conversations or just checking email if you are dining like I was. I will admit that the room has aged a bit but it's still clean and pleasant. My Tom Kha soup had a tasty broth and was filled with chicken. The Pad Kee Mao lacked "spiciness" even though it is described as "stir fried spicy flat rice noodles in chili sauce" and I asked for medium heat. However it tasted great but I know it would be even better with heat. So, my update still rewards 5 stars and if you are looking for Thai this is a great option?
