    Spring Rolls
    Brandon G.

I was over in the neighborhood on Chandler Street, and needed some dinner. As my friend said, I picked up an old classic and something new to me. I got the Pad Ka Pow with pork and an order of the spring rolls. The service was so fast here and friendly. I got my food to go and it was still piping hot when I got home 15 minutes later. This is quite the meal with a large portion of rice in the main dish and five spring rolls. It was delicious from start to finish. Each dish came with an extra sauce to use or dip into. The spring rolls were crispy and full of flavor. The pad ka pow was a perfect balance of savory flavor with the right amount of spice. I should have asked to get shrimp with it this time, but that will happen when I go back next time. The parking at Chandler Street can be a little tough but I found a spot which was nice. The building is full of businesses so it is a nice place to be when you're hungry. Tiny Thai is one of my new favorite places to check out in the city and if you're ever over near the Westside, you should too!

Drunken Noodles with tofu and extra vegetables, Pad Thai and Green Island Mocktail

The food at Tiny Thai is way beyond what most other restaurants are serving in WNY. Their current location is on the second floor of 27 Chandler and the space is colorful and cozy. The staff and owner were very hospitable, offering us extra drinks and checking in to make sure everything was our liking. Everything about the experience was warm and welcoming. We ordered pad Thai, drunken noodles with extra veggies and tofu (each cost $1 extra) along with a Green Island Mocktail. The pad Thai was deliciously saucy, which was a great surprise. I was also extremely pleased that the drunken noodles were packed with veggies, definitely worth the slight up charge. The tofu was seasoned and fried, not just mixed into the dish like an after thought. Overall, I'm a little concerned that Tiny Thai was so good that it may have ruined other Thai restaurants for me. This is definitely a spot to come back to!

Located in a warehouse building along with other restaurants, Tiny Thai hides on the second floor. They open at 1pm on Sundays, not sure about other days of the week, so probably a good idea to pay attention to their opening hours if you pay a visit. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken breast. The total was $18 and some change, needless to say very pricey for one dish. I will say the portion size was rather large and could probably be split into 2 meals if one was not particularly hungry. I was very hungry so I ate all of it in one sitting. The flavors were fantastic and I really liked that they use the thin ramen noodles rather than the traditional thick flat noodles. It was a fun switch and didn't take away from the dish. I would definitely recommend Tiny Thai to anyone in the Buffalo area looking for some good Thai food!

I kinda roll my eyes when these influencers call some place a hidden gem. Yet here I am about about to use those very words to describe Tiny Thai because it is truly HIDDEN. And a gem of a place. Took a little bit of snooping around to find this place on the second floor, but I am glad I went the extra mile (steps?) to locate it. The food was as beautiful as it was delicious. My Thai mother wanted Thai food, and if it wasn't good she'd be very vocal about it. LOL. We really liked everything we ordered. My mother was excited to see they have chor muang on the menu. My mother didn't even care what else we ordered as long as we got that item. This is a rare treat in a Thai restaurant! A rare gem within a hidden gem.

I love their drunken noodles! They're so delicious. I tried their Pad Thai it was okay. It does take a while to order your food and get the food if the food truck is busy. I've also tried their dumplings which are beautiful.

We had a wonderful and personal experience at Tiny Thai. The food was delicious. My husband and I was looking for authentic Thai food, missing our parent's home cooking of Thailand and the kind owner and chef, Kae, delivered. The spices and ingredients are all fresh and reminisce of our parent's home cooking and probably even better. We had the Kai Soi, Drunken noodles, and Pad See Ew, cho muang dunplings and fresh rolls. All very delicious. Just Heads up, lots of peanuts. We will definitely be going again. Excellent food and service.

I took a pad thai cooking class here. Kae kindly greeted us with yummy mango tea & educated us on the history of pad thai. She made the art of cooking the main dish so easy to accomplish! We were then surprised with the absolute best mango sticky rice I have ever had! I can't wait to go back and try her other dishes. A wonderful women-owned, local small business to support!

When driving up to a food truck in the pouring rain, we it had just let up, and see a crowd if people you know the food must be good. It was nice to see that there appeared to be a lot of local neighborhood folks. That's certainly shopping local! On this visit we just tried the deep fried spring rolls and the blue chicken dumplings. The spring rolls were not greasy at all and were filled with yummy fresh veggies. The dumplings weren't my favorite but decent. I didn't really taste any chicken, only peanuts. Based on some of the other orders coming out though I'd like to visit again to try their other menu items. 2022-29

Thai lemonade and Thai ice tea. Both delightful

Tiny Thai has huge flavors! We decided it would fun to get a selection of menu items from the food truck and share them. We found vegetarian egg rolls. They were really very light and not at all greasy but delicious. The curry we ordered with tempe and it was fantastic!!! It came with an order of rice, and excellent flavorful rice I might add. The vegetables were artfully peeled and cut in large chunks, and the coconut milk curry sauce was a mix of sweet and hot that had me unable to stop myself from going back for bite after bite regardless of the heat. Ohhhh the sticky rice and mango.... Sometimes I need a thesaurus! The best sticky rice I've had in any restaurant in Buffalo. It had coconut milk cream sauce of some kind and a generous helping of perfectly ripe mangos on top. Sticky rice is not usually something I find myself having a craving for, until now!! Now I will have to find Tiny Thai for the curry and the mango sticky rice !! The non vegetarian had an order of the chicken filled dumplings that look like beautiful lavender colored roses. They were described as having various textures and were sweet and savory and were an all around fun experience. She also had chicken and rice which were very good but the sauce that comes with them puts the flavor over the top. So this is a truck that definitely won my heart!!

Came here for the first time on a Friday afternoon at 1pm. It's in a large building with ~20 small food businesses but limited labeling on the outside of the building so it might be confusing! Takeout only. Between two people we got 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and 1 app. The total 20% tip + tax came to $70, which is slightly pricey but I'm not upset about it. The dumpling skin was similar to Thai desserts (coconut, chewy, mochi?? Flavor) but I can tell it was probably made beforehand and re-steamed prior to serving, causing the skin to be a bit soggy / lack of structure but just admiring the detail and colors of these cute lil guys was enough to fulfill me!!! The lavender lemonade was a WOWWWWW. From the presentation (WOW) to the intricate flavors (I haven't had a lavender drink I liked but this one was amazingly balanced with other spices). The Thai iced tea also had an amazing flavor, not watered down or bland like many other places I've had in buffalo. I got medium Spicy drunken noodles and I'd say it's actually spicy for an Asian person (but not painful). Both entrees were textured well but I did wish my drunken noodles had more veggies in them. 4 whole chicken wings were really generous though! Overall I'd come on a nice day to enjoy the sun and colorful food again :)

Stopped at the Tiny Thai food truck today. Seems you can follow Tiny Thai on Instagram for more information on menu items and locations, and they also have a permanent location on the second floor of the Chandler Street market. I had the chicken dumplings and spring rolls. The dumplings are simply a feast for the eyes, each dumpling a blue rosette, the three of them on a generous bed of salad. I hesitated to take a first bite, but eventually admitted I wasn't going to take them home and frame them. Sight and taste rejoiced in that first bite. Delicious. The spring rolls were excellent, crisp on the outside, softly crunchy inside and a dipping sauce that seemed a slightly sweet fish oil. Very good. I'm glad to know they have a regular shop because I have got to have (soon) more of the wonderful dumplings.

Tiny Thai, huge flavor. I had been wanting to check this place out for awhile -- as soon as their food truck reached massive popularity among Buffalonians, I knew it had to be good. They currently have a space in the Chandler Street building, though I ordered delivery this time around. The turnaround time on my order was super quick, which is always a bonus. I opted for their drunken noodles with chicken. I don't know what I was expecting, but my dinner was above and beyond anything I had imagined it to be. The portion was perfect and the flavor was present in full force, the noodles packed a great punch. There were lots of veggies mixed in and the chicken was so tender and flavorful. Their menu is on the smaller side, but I think this is a good thing, as it allows them to really excel at their specialities. And the pricing is great too: my meal was $15, which is pretty competitive when you compare it to other businesses. I will absolutely be ordering from Tiny Thai again -- to try their tried-and-true pad Thai, or maybe for some of their famous rose-shaped dumplings.

    Chicken pad Thai
    Jeff H.

I ordered chicken pad Thai which was $17 and beyond sickeningly sweet, and the portion was teeny tiny for the price. Not much going on flavor-wise besides sugar. Jasmine's pad Thai is infinitely better with way bigger portions. How is this place getting rave reviews from others?

On the second floor tucked in the back corner you will find Far East Bayou. This casual take out restaurant, is a fusion of Southern New Orleans and Korean flavors. The chef was extremely friendly and ready to take us down his culinary journey down the bayou. I ordered a bunch of different dishes for my husband and I to sample: Shrimp Bo Poy - blackened, shrimp po boy- fried, crab hush puppies and honey cajun udon noodles. Everything was extremely flavorful! The sauces were out of this world. They had a nice spice on them. Not a spice that sets your mouth on fire, but spice that is flavorful and enhances everything else on the plate. The fried shrimp was super crispy and the cornmeal breading was perfectly seasoned. My only complaint is the preparation of the shrimp. The shrimp are prepared with their tails on, which made it difficult to eat. We had to dig through the sauces and toppings to find each shrimp and pull the tails off . I learned the owner makes his own kimchi, which is made using more spices and vegetables and less fish. He allowed me to sample some, and I will be dreaming about this kimchi tonight! I will definitely be coming back to try their rotating specials menu, and grab some more kimchi!

I won't go in to very detailed descriptions of the courses, but in all honesty every single one was a highlight, it was very difficult to pick a favourite, for me it was probably the Halibut, with Arabian tapenade that also had crispy chicken skin, I don't think I've ever had a fish dish topped with chicken and it was amazing! The feast for the eyes was definitely his dessert, a pomegranate mouse surrounded by cardamom meringues! Those 2 dishes looked amazing but tasted even better!! Red meat is my least favourite thing to eat, so I appreciated the rib of lamb not being massive, and appreciated it even more that it was a medium rare delight! What really made this evening special was the ambiance that Chef Khalil and his wife sets in their living room, a small intimate space perfect for a romantic night with a nice tall table candle and Arabic music to go with it. Throughout the evening chef would keep checking on us to make sure everything was going great, and talk about the dish we were about to have. He makes everything in house, which really blew me away, considering it was just for 2 of us and he makes such a large variety of dishes! It is BYOW, and I'm glad I messaged him beforehand to ask for his recommendation for what type of wine to bring along, since even my clumsy selection of wine worked out great thanks to his suggestion. While I found Saha through Airbnb I would recommend people just go to it via his regular website to get more info and make reservations too (cheaper than Airbnb).Chef Khalil hopes to open Saha as an intimate restaurant in Toronto next year, and I don't think there is anyone else doing a middle eastern tasting menu, but even compared to the tasting menus of O&B and the momofuku's in the world, Saha truly holds up, and I can't recommend this pop up version enough, especially for the price of close to $100/person (or less if you opt for fewer courses) it's truly a steal! I wish him and his wife the best moving forward!
