We got the Shumai (pork dumplings) to share, she got Pud Thai with chicken and I had Fire Udon with pork. Both entrees were enough to fill us up and she even had leftovers. Located on the north side of Main Street just west of Harlem Road. Take bus #47 or #48 to get here. Me and a friend stopped here for lunch and enjoyed everything. There are nice tables and a ful bar. Service is friendly and prompt. The chopsticks are shiny. I had a diced pork with rice dish. Not having been here before I chose level 2 spice, but that was a mistake. They are conservative with their spices. I should have ordered at least level 4. My friend ordered level 1 (barely any spice at all) but that's what he wanted and he was very happy with it. read more

This is a cute restaurant on Main Street next to Daemon University in a small plaza. I had a break and decided to look for a place nearby. This was recommended. I looked through the menu and decided on the ground pork basil dish, one of my favorite Thai dish, so it was a good one to try. I picked the 2 stars spicy, which is just about right. It was about 1:30 pm, past the prime lunch time but they still have quite a few tables. There was just one server, so it a took little to get the menu and to get served. Went here with my family and this place had the highest ratings in the area. Service was alright, wasn't too busy during the time we went on a weekday around afternoon. We got curry, pineapple fried rice, pad Thai, and tom yum soup. The only thing I liked was the tom yum soup... Curry - 7/10: wasn't bad but not the best curry I've had either Pineapple fried rice: 4.5/10 - looked really good but was bland. It's cute they put it in a pineapple but hard to grab the fried rice out (gets messy). Was lacking in flavor unfortunately Pad Thai: 2/10 - I love pad thai but this didn't hit the spot. The taste was really off, different from most places I've had... Tom yum soup: 9/10 - I really enjoyed this. It was sweet and sour, how I like it. Quick service, food came out amazing. 2nd time eating Thai food. I was impressed. I got the Thai fried rice with beef and a Tsing Tao beer. Everything was fairly priced except for the drinks. The beer on the menu say $7 ... BUT those prices are wrong! I got my receipt back and the beer was actually $8! I thought $7 was pretty expensive for a bottled lager beer. Like a stranded traveler in a dry, deserted desert, I have been on a long, thirsty journey for good Pad Thai in the WNY area, since Thai By Night in Canandaigua closed its (full service restaurant) doors. There is a pervasively sweet, funky aftertaste in many of the local versions that led to takeout container after takeout container of thrown out of leftover Pad Thai. Rin's Thai Bistro in Williamsville is an oasis. Not only did I eat the leftovers, but I'm ready to come back for more (once I get paid ...it's a little $$$ but worth every penny). Try the spring rolls, pineapple fried rice, pad Thai, and the house curry. I had my bottle of Thai by Night peanut sauce at the ready, but Rin's food was enjoyable all on its own. Absolutely one of the best located Thai restaurants I've ever enjoyed in my life with wonderful outside seating watching the winter waves come ashore! Oh and the food was great too. Amazing value with the lunch specials. My mainland guests were able to take half to-go and took it with them on the flight home that afternoon. The Satay sauce did not disappoint. I loved it and would definitely order it again. My BF had the Tom Yum soup and really enjoyed it and said it was quite spicy! I wanted to try a noodle dish for my main course but they only had a few on the menu which was disappointing. I ordered Pud Thai which isn't something I usually get. It was pretty good, though I would have appreciated a little more tofu. My BF got the Pud See Ew but it wasn't spicy at all despite him asking for it medium spicy. All-in-all, we'd definitely eat here again and try different mains. I'd love to see some specials of the day. And I really appreciated that everything could be made GF or vegan upon request! Rin's Thai Bistro was such a great place to get Boba and chat with friends. The woman, who I assume to be the owner, that took our orders was helpful, kind, and funny. Her chats with us felt natural and not forced, she was awesome! On top of that, the boba was some of the better I have had in the area. The indoor seating was pleasant as well. I finally crossed off Rin Thai from my 'to try' list a couple weeks ago. It's been on my radar ever since my friend from Thailand told me this is her favorite Thai restaurant in town. I ordered a take out from the place as part of 'Dining out for life' event which traditionally has been for the benefit of the non-profit 'Evergreen health'. This year however, the event just wanted the restaurants to benefit amidst the covid crisis. I went with the staple 'Pad thai' so as to have a baseline for more daring choices in the future. My roommate also ordered with me and even though we both are vegetarians, I ordered mine with eggs while she ordered hers without. When we arrived home, we saw that they removed eggs from both the orders. The perks of getting a take out was that I could fry eggs myself and add them to my portion. I thoroughly enjoyed my noodles which had a nice strong peanutty flavor with fried tofu and assorted veggies (the fried eggs that I added definitely helped too). The price I thought was a little higher than the other Thai restaurants in town but I would probably pay occasional visits to this place just to try their other offerings. read more

We were a table for two last night and were amazed at how busy the restaurant was with multiple four tops and more, yet the staff was attentive to all it seemed and we were served promptly and often. As for ambience, it's LOUD in there! Is that a good thing or no? I'll just say that after we got over that initial impression, it was never a bother. Stopped in for lunch today with my boss for the second time and everything was very consistent from our first visit! It did appear that the menu got bigger though and all of the options looked really good. The prices are still a bit high for lunch but are good options for dinner. My husband and I had dinner at Rin Thai Bistro last night. This cute little eatery is tucked away in an unassuming mish-mash plaza. Approaching the entrance, I already liked the warm vibe and glow. When we entered, we were quickly greeted, and told to sit where we'd like. The dining room is cozy, with I think about a dozen small tables, mostly tiny two-tops. The parking lot was fairly full on a Tuesday night, but we got a spot. Just an FYI, it may be tighter parking on busier weekend nights. I'll start with my one star deduction--it is for the chairs. The chairs all look very industrial-sophisticated-stylish, but man, they were uncomfortable. We ended up at a tiny two-top high-boy, and the bar-height chairs with a low bar across the back were just not pleasant to sit in for dining. The teeny-tiny table left no place to put a purse, and the chairs are not conducive to hanging a bag or coat. Luckily the table next to us was empty, so I borrowed a chair to hold my stuff. I know the restaurant is going for a sleek and chic look, but honestly I'd rather have comfortable less fashionable chairs than ideal chair atmosphere. Moving on from my chair rant, the food itself was delicious. My husband ordered the 'Curry of the Night', which was a red curry on Tuesdays. He added chicken. The portion was a decent size, with a good amount of chicken. It wasn't spicy enough for him, but that was his own fault for being oddly spice-ambivalent when he ordered. The server kindly brought him some extra spices, which he promptly over-did it with, hahaha, again his own fault. :-P He brought some home to down-spice with more rice for lunch the next day. I ordered Pad Thai with tofu, and asked for no fish sauce. The server nicely asked me if I have a food allergy, and wanted a fresh pan. Nobody has ever asked me that before when ordering sans-fish sauce, so a very kind gesture. I said no, I'm just vegetarian, and okay with cross trace. I like the special care for patrons with potential food allergies. My Pad Thai was delicious! The noodles were thinner than other Pad Thai I've had, more of an angel hair noodle. It was a very generous amount, with LOTS of veggies! I hate when a Pad Thai has like two carrots and a couple broccoli florets. This Pad Thai had carrots, zucchini, sweet red peppers, green peppers, broccoli, sprouts, and all were fresh and soft with a bit of crisp, and abundant! The peanuts were crushed too. Another Pad Thai pet peeve, whole peanuts just tossed on. Not here, they were crushed properly. And the tofu was sliced in long thin pieces, not cubes. This is better too, as the tofu better absorbs the delicious Pad Thai peanut flavor. Five stars on this yummy vegetarian Pad Thai, for sure! Overall I really enjoyed Rin Thai! This is a bit pricier than our couple usual Thai places, you're looking at around $15 per entrée. And my husband really needs to better order his spice level next time, hahaha. And we need to try some different tables to see if some of the other seating is more comfortable. But my Pad Thai was spot-on-delish, the atmosphere was uber-cozy, and our server was very exceptionally friendly and attentive. We'll be back! :-D read more

So I came here with a friend last night and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly and polite. The food was delicious. So why only 3 stars? Here we go, friends.... Like I said, the waitress was friendly, but she was also clueless. She took our orders and repeated them back wrong each time. Finally,we got through to her that we wanted veggie spring rolls as an appetizer and I wanted Tom Kha soup as my entree and my friend chicken pad thai. It took a long time for my friend's pad Thai to come out for some reason. Like, 20 minutes. In the meantime, they brought out my soup. I felt terrible eating in front of someone with no food in front of them, but she insisted because neither of us wanted me eating cold soup. There was a mere splash of liquid in the bowl and maybe 3 pieces of chicken. It was so little food that I ordered soup again so I could eat with my friend. This also came out before my friend's entrée. It was a little ridiculous. What I really didn't like was that the waitress whistled and said "wow" when I ordered extra soup. That was the only rude thing she did during service, but I was still a little upset that she did that. Maybe if the restaurant had better portions, I wouldn't have ordered extra. I'm not knocking the taste of the food, however. That part was delicious. I'll probably even come back for the pad thai because my friend loved hers so much. Just visiting Buffalo for a my aunts funeral and wanted to have great food before heading back to the PNW . My son found this place and we were so happy he found it.
