I was here after a long while tonight with a friend. They have 3 chair tables, which is odd, but it's their place so how they set it up is unimportant in the scheme of things. The server came over quickly and seemed kind of annoyed about something, but I don't think it was because of us. The place wasn't very buy, which was nice because then I could hear my friend. We each ordered soup, mine was the beef broth based and my friend had chicken. I got mine without the tendon and tripe, so I really enjoyed it! It wasn't the absolute best pho, but it was still really yummy because hey, it's pho! It's so warm and comforting, it's probably one of my favorite foods! I digress. We talked for about an hour, then motioned to our server that we were ready for the check, which the server had up front for us. I went to the bathroom at one points, which was incredibly clean. I went for a birthday dinner with friends and all things considered regarding service and wait times, was a good dining experience. For context, we were a large party of 10 people and there appear to be only one server for the entire restaurant while there. So we had delays for getting beverages beyond water and possibly the food but on that I'm not 100% sure if it just takes a while to prep or they were focus on bringing them all that is close together for the entire party. For my main meal, I got the Birdsnest with chicken, which was a dry noodle dish that resembled something of a bird's nest . It was surprisingly flavorful, but did not look very visually appealing. I must say, haha. As an appetizer, I got the steamed bun, which I wasn't a big fan of how it was prepared but that was just my personal preference compared to other ones I've had in the area with the meat cooked differently inside. I also got a mango bubble tea substituted with jellies which was good as well. our server was very diligent, but clearly busy with our group as well as the other customers, so I can't really fault him for how some of the service experience felt especially omce we eventually got some water pitchers to keep on the table so we didn't have to keep asking him for refills. read more

I paddled through the soup with my spoon like I was on an exciting journey, which I hoped would never end. What a truly comforting meal! Steamy hot with wonderful aroma, my seafood pho put me literally to sleep. The broth was definitely meat based, and it was a bit on the fatty side, but still, I really enjoyed it. The seafood wasn't too great unfortunately. With three overcooked shrimps and a few chewy little scallops I thought they could do a little bit better. I liked the taste and texture of the fish balls and crab sticks which were plentiful. The rings of squid were perfectly cooked, too. My partner's 'pho dac biet', which had all kinds of special beef items, was also very good. I noticed it wasn't as hot and large as my soup, but I didn't hear any complaints. I shared some of my noodles thinking some extra landed in my bowl by mistake. The atmosphere during our visit practically didn't exist. I needed something cozy on a cold night and the rare steak pho really did it for me. I am amazed by the volume of food I got. It could've fed me for a few more days had I not accidentally left it behind! The steak was perfectly thinly sliced and not chewy when I got a piece of it. The toppings and add ins were all just the right amount. Bean sprouts fresh, rice noodles yummy, sriracha, lime, super thinly sliced white onion, green onions, jalapeños... YUMM. Just the right amount of kick for my tastes. I learned the hard way not to go to crazy with the sriracha, haha. Glad to have finally tried this place because the location is very convenient. I had high hopes for this place. I have never had pho so I took my daughter out for the afternoon and we chose this place. The pho tasted ok. But everything else about the place was awful. Cleanliness - it's filthy. I'be been in many public restrooms. This one was so dirty I could even use it. Dust everywhere. Dirty menus. The salt shaker was so caked with dirt that nothing came out of it. Friendliness -- there was none. The young man that greets you did bare minimum. We told him this was our first time having pho and he had very little to say or recommend. He also stared at us the whole time. Atmosphere - nothing. The orchids could be a nice touch if half of them weren't dead. And they have a cup of hair clips on the window sill. Christmas lights still up. No music or anything. Food - I give on star for food. We also had the chicken and cream cheese rolls. They were gross. Just disgusting. I asked for a glass of water. I was given water with no ice. They had no lemon so they gave me a lime. ordered lemon grass chicken all the time from this place. chef accidently made it too spicy. I called expected them to be reasonable, and just refund the part of the order they messed up. They refused to, then hung up on me after placing me on hold. I called back, the chef answered and told me I was wrong and the food was fine. Then she hung up. Wow. I thought the Pho was good enough that I tried it twice. But other than that I am good. I hated the Fresh Rolls and the Egg Roll were also good.
