    Vegetable Pho
    Emily S.

Food was 5/5. My only complaint is that we ordered Jasmine tea and we never received it. I ordered the Veggie Pho which was delicious, very comforting, noodles were very good. I recommend. Service was a little slow, I assume they're understaffed. Music was kinda loud but bearable. My aunt lost her spoon in her soup roughly 7 times though I didn't have any problems with the spoons. Great place.

Great summer rolls, the chicken and shrimp are the best I've found in the area. Good authentic flavor and healthy

Their Facebook page says it has new ownership. Menu may have changed slightly but the food is still delicious. Ordered pho for pickup via the website. It was ready within the time window the order confirmation gave.

I had an amazing takeout lunch today Phovana. I ordered Cơm chiên Thái . Which is a tasty beef rice and egg dish, with level 4 hotness. The owner was very friendly i definitely recommend the great Vietnam's cuisine right here in Buffalo/Amherst NY

So good! Ordered the Hu Tieu Xao and Pho with meatballs, rare beef and brisket for takeout. Everything was very fresh. I love that the they packed plenty of sauces and sides for the pho- and they even included a disposable soup spoon which was a thoughtful touch!

The pho was delicious! The place is clean and chill. Ingredients were fresh and broth had such a good flavor. The owner is friendly and welcoming. If you are craving pho I would definitely hit this spot up. I travel for work and usually eat pho as it is fast, fresh, and satisfying- this place hit all those keys! I'll be back.

I went for a birthday dinner with friends and all things considered regarding service and wait times, was a good dining experience. For context, we were a large party of 10 people and there appear to be only one server for the entire restaurant while there. So we had delays for getting beverages beyond water and possibly the food but on that I'm not 100% sure if it just takes a while to prep or they were focus on bringing them all that is close together for the entire party. For my main meal, I got the Birdsnest with chicken, which was a dry noodle dish that resembled something of a bird's nest . It was surprisingly flavorful, but did not look very visually appealing. I must say, haha. As an appetizer, I got the steamed bun, which I wasn't a big fan of how it was prepared but that was just my personal preference compared to other ones I've had in the area with the meat cooked differently inside. I also got a mango bubble tea substituted with jellies which was good as well. our server was very diligent, but clearly busy with our group as well as the other customers, so I can't really fault him for how some of the service experience felt especially omce we eventually got some water pitchers to keep on the table so we didn't have to keep asking him for refills.

Very good good! Great experience. Very friendly staff and a lot of room for medium size groups. Clean and warm atmosphere. You need to visit. It's one of Buffalo's "hole in the wall" type places that you should not pass by!!

With all the sickness going around this was everything I needed right now. The customer service was great. I did take out but it's a cute place if you're looking for somewhere to sit down & eat. The pho & Thai tea were perfection.

New ownership is amazing! It is so clean inside and the staff are sooooo friendly and welcoming. The food is incredible. We tried multiple dishes/ pho, fresh spring rolls, a tofu rice noodle dish, and pad thai. Everything was very flavorful, the vegetables were fresh and crisp. I am blown away!!!

If you are looking for a 'pho' around the Buffalo area, you should put Phovana on your map. Pho from Phovana was good. The broth tasted delicious. I paddled through the soup with my spoon like I was on an exciting journey, which I hoped would never end. What a truly comforting meal! Steamy hot with wonderful aroma, my seafood pho put me literally to sleep. The broth was definitely meat based, and it was a bit on the fatty side, but still, I really enjoyed it. The seafood wasn't too great unfortunately. With three overcooked shrimps and a few chewy little scallops I thought they could do a little bit better. I liked the taste and texture of the fish balls and crab sticks which were plentiful. The rings of squid were perfectly cooked, too. My partner's 'pho dac biet', which had all kinds of special beef items, was also very good. I noticed it wasn't as hot and large as my soup, but I didn't hear any complaints. I shared some of my noodles thinking some extra landed in my bowl by mistake. The atmosphere during our visit practically didn't exist. I blame the time because it was between lunch and dinner and we were the only customers from the beginning to the end of our stay.

Does this place serve actual hot pot? It's not listed on their online menu even though there is a photo of it?

It used to a couple years ago or so I think but not anymore

Of course no problem. We still got there and food was ready by 1145. He told us he came in a little early make sure it was done! How nice was that. He also threw in a free Thai tea drink for us! Which was absolutely delicious. All the food was just packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. We ordered the coconut shrimp. I don't eat shrimp but everyone said it was amazing. Then we also had the crab rangoon, let me tell you by far some of the best I've had. Normally you get a ragoon filled with cream cheese and hardly any crab, this was the opposite. These were plump and fried to perfection filled with tons of crab! For entries we went with the Burnese beef fried rice, Papaya salad, stir fried pork ribs and sesame chicken. Everything was amazing. The papaya salad you have an option to pick your heat level 1 thru 5, we went a two, which he explained was medium. Well the two was spicyyyyy. So depending on your heat sensors, order with caution. For me the heat was perfect, I definitely could not have went any higher, but a few people in the party struggled a bit. My man what an absolute flavor bomb! Loved that the sesame chicken was all white meat! I don't eat ribs but everyone said amazing, it was packaged with potatoes, and I ate some of those, and again, delicious!!!! So glad my parents introduced me to this spot! I'll be back!!

I ordered the namprik pao, my son the kimchi fried rice. Both were fantastic!! The cashier was a little gruff, but the woman running back and forth between the kitchen and the front had a better business sense about keeping customers happy. She didn't want me to wait long, so I think she rushed the kitchen a little bit, which I appreciated, but also may have led to some of the demerits on the food I mention below. I was happy to see one dish I ordered, the pig intestine with fish, on their picture board above the cash registers. That gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing and it was the best dish by far out of the three I ordered. The intestine was fresh and flavorful, the spice level was high, but also not too salty. It was a lot of food. Only drawback here was the fish (tilapia?) seemed to be heavy on the breading. The other two dishes were disappointing. Penang curry with pork had good vegetables, but the sauce had too little flavor since they went too heavy on the coconut milk. The pork seemed like chicken, not pork. Way too soft and flavorless. The Singapore Chow Mei Fun had good noodles and veggies. But the curry powder was not blended in. Eating it, I could still feel it in powder form. It was also far too oily. Overall, I think they had a lot of options but next time I'd steer more towards classic Chinese, since that seems to be what they do well. I hope next time the flavors will be stronger and blended better (i.e. powders actually stirred in). I'm willing to give them another chance, since they do have a lot of dishes I like. Last note: the online ordering service does not indicate that dishes come with rice. I thought they would have rice by default, but then when I added the penang curry to my cart, it asked whether I wanted rice or noodles or something else. So that made me think I had to order rice separately, which meant I had twice as much rice as I needed. It also said "quart of white rice" was sold out, but "pint of white rice" was not, yet the rice that came with my meal came in a quart container.
