This is a phenomenal restaurant a little off the beaten path. I've been going here off and on for years and have rarely been disappointed in the food. I will say that if you're looking for spicy food, the heat here is not overwhelming. Even when I ask for it to be really spicy, it often is not. So I always emphasize that I actually want it to be spicy. The service is always high-quality and we don't have to wait long typically, even when there are a lot of people. Parking is easy and you don't have to deal with a ton of Niagara Falls Blvd. traffic. Overall, highly recommend coming out here if you haven't already been here. In my opinion Saigon Bangkok is the top Tai food in WNY. You need to order the sizzling steak, fried egg plant and as funny as it sounds, their house fried rice w steak, shrimp, and chicken. Their soups are to die for including their coconut based soup. So many other amazing entrees to choose from, but we're talking about high end Tai food! I'm still trying to find something I don't like on the menu. read more

Very good soup, not sure what it was but it had a coconut taste with a nice heat to it, delicious! Service was attentive and friendly as always. Their Pho is amazing! The beef was so tender it almost melted in my mouth. And the flavor!! To die for.

Quick seating. Party was six. Instant refreshments. Friendly service, willing to answer dietary questions. Heard from family that the Pad Thai, Wonton Soup, Spring Rolls, and Chicken Fried Rice was all very tasty, warm, and comforting. I ordered the Thai Garden with brown rice and no peanut sauce. Restaurant was busy, they're located in the shopping area. We were greeted upon entering and was seated right away. It was chilly inside the restaurant, I looked like I just came from the beach with tank top and shorts on. We ordered pho, my daughter requested no noodles. Thai wings, ban xeo, and pad thai. While the service was very good, and we were allowed separate checks for our party of 8, my lunch was not what I expected. The Pad Thai Seafood has an asterisk for spicy; it was not. It was very hot, temperature wise, but no discernible heat from spiciness. I did ask for my dish to come without calamari, which they did, and replaced the calamari with a second shrimp. The other seafood in my dish were a scallop(sliced horizontally so it looked like 2) and some pieces of fried fish fillet. I also did not see or taste any peanuts. I had the Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) made with shrimp today. The shrimp had grill lines with a slight smoky flavor and were perfectly cooked. The wide noodles, greens and tasty sauce made for a marvelous meal with enough left over for lunch tomorrow. With my fresh summer roll, full of tofu and fresh, crisp vegetables, and my glass of delicious pinot Grigio, it was an absolutely delightful dinner. A nice restaurant with a very friendly staff. We were with a group. They had no problem with pulling some tables together, nor with separate checks. The lunch menu is somewhat smaller than the dinner version, but there are enough choices left! I had the Pad Thai seafood. Noodles with scallops, fried fish, a shrimp and some calamari. The taste was nice, even though I missed the peanuts or even peanut flavor. The star on the menu mentioned spicy; well, not to my standards. On the 30th I went to lunch with two of my friends. There I ordered wonton soup. I took three bites and spit out the wonton because it tasted like rotted meat. I told the staff and they had to go check it and then they confirmed with me the meat was spoiled. A while later I threw up and he had diarrhea. The mistake I made was going out to eat after there was possibly electric outages. Trusting that maybe a restaurant would throw out their food that wasn't contained properly. One of my friends with me also got sick. They took $6 off my bill after telling me they serve me spoiled. pork. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. Not anymore. read more

Underrated restaurant. I've never ordered a bad entree. I like the crispy noodles, and drunken noodles best. I generally eat in and it interior is comfortable and clean. I believe the service is good. A lady near my table could not eat gluten and the waitress spent a great deal of time making sure she ordered something that wouldn't have gluten in it explaining all of the gluten free options. Their deserts kinda suck, I had freezer burned coconut ice cream. So maybe don't order dessert here? Otherwise I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Their Pad Thai was average however, the star of the show was the Coconut Soup. Just a delicious flavor and tasted especially good on a cold evening. A must try if you eat at this restaurant. So freaking good. The menu is a mix of Thai and Vietnamese and offers a great variety of dishes that cater to just about everyone's taste. I love how extensive the vegetarian menu is- I've also never had better crispy tofu in my life. The restaurant itself is in an unsuspecting location, but you don't want to miss it! Very quiet and clean inside with friendly and attentive service. The owner and host took the time to talk with my grandmother and tell the backstory of the restaurant which made her very happy. I'm excited to return- I've gotten takeout from here about 5 times since my last visit! read more

We had a delivery order of vegetable basil udon, fried tofu, tempura vegetables and chicken pad see-eew. We also ordered two cups of Thai ice tea one with milk and one without and there was a dollar difference in the charge. The vegetable udon was heavily coated in a "basil" sauce. I requested mild but it gave you options. The vegetables included button mushrooms, peppers and carrots. I wouldn't order it again and compared to the pad Thai I've eaten there, well there is no comparison. The tempura vegetables were poorly coated in batter and oily. Again I wouldn't order them again. The fried tofu was lacking flavor and not very crispy. Sadly not the best fried tofu I've ever had. We couldn't tell the difference between the two teas. They tasted and looked the same. I'm not sure if it was a mistake or we couldn't tell because our pallets weren't discerning enough or we just got charged an extra dollar for the same thing. The chicken pad-eew was described to me as " alright for takeout but probably wouldn't be for sit down." So I've always like Saigon Bangkok when I have eaten there. I ordered take out at 5:30pm for a nice at home Valentine's Day dinner with my wife and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. I get to the restaurant almost exactly 45 minutes later. My wife stayed in the car. It is so small in the entry way and there were 5 customers waiting for door dash so it was extremely crowded because people were walking in to dine in. When I got there I waited for 30 minutes and counted 7 different door dash workers get their food before I did. I got asked for my name one time and I gave him my name. He went into the back and didn't come out with any food or answer. 10 minutes later, I asked another woman about my order along with my name. She went into the back, walked out and didn't say a word to me. Over 45 minutes total of waiting in the restaurant and I finally decided to walk out. I will NEVER come here again. I don't recommend anybody to order take out here. I wish I had pictures of food, but obviously I didn't get anything. Avoid this place. read more

The sizzling steak was a good choice. Tender pieces of beef in a delicious soy based sauce grilled with veggies. Sizzling it was! The other entree we ordered was the Thai "drunken noodles" with chicken. Something different from the usual pad Thai noodles. Can't say I loved this dish. Not enough noodles for starters. Taste-wise, good. Service is pleasant. Atmosphere is simple. Nothing on the walls. As long as the food is delicious, that's ok. read more

Wow. I'm at a friends house pet sitting and asked her what is good to eat in her neighborhood and she explained how she's been on a Thai kick and told me to try this place out! I've never had Thai before so I was hesitant to go through with the order but am so happy I did! I ordered their basil pad Thai noodle dish with vegetables in a sweet and sour sauce and I picked it up to eat at the house. This smelled fantastic on the ride home so I was super excited to eat it. The flavor and chicken/veggie/noodle ratio is perfect. The dish was upwards $16 which I originally thought the portion is a bit small for the price but now that I've ate, I could easily make 2/3 meals out of this! This is a new favorite for me. I ordered through Uber Eats and my food was hot and wrapped very well to avoid spilling. The food was equally as impressive. I got the basil fried rice with chicken and a pad kapow (not gonna lie, the name caught my attention). You can choose your spice level and they're pretty accurate with it. I had leftovers and the flavors marinating overnight made the food taste even better the next day. I have a few items I want to try next time. read more

I had the mango curry which had a nice blend of sweet and spice, which I put over brown rice. The wait staff was prompt once we were ready to order. The menu is lengthy and your tastebuds will be salivating before you make a decision. The parking is good outside. The space of the restaurant is pleasant and roomy. I bet you have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years. I got takeout last night for me and my kids and it was way below their standards. I'm guessing there's either new ownership, or new cooks. I'll bet on the former. Ordered summer roll which was great l, And chicken satay, which was nowhere near the quality that it used to be. Ordered pad Thai with chicken. It was horrible and had old scallions thrown in. They were not even green anymore. They were brown yellow. Couldn't find chicken. Had Tom Yum soup. could not eat it. Filled with old mushrooms, old scallions. Everything used to be so fresh. Then I got the Pangan curry with shrimp. It was just OK. The grilled pork with sticky rice was good but the pork was not as fresh as it should be. This restaurant, and it's sister restaurant in Williamsville, where the gold standard for Thai food in western New York for decades. This was too dramatic of a fall-off to think anything other than former ownership is gone, because this food was so far below their standards. It is unlike them to have this poor quality , I live in the city so there are many decent Thai restaurants to choose from, But Saigon Bangkok was it for 30 years. Something is way off. read more

The (owner?) whoever that asian lady was, was rude, its outrageous. She was very demanding about her tips, and because of that, I did not tip. What kind of owner demands tips from a customer? When I told her that, she told me she was gonna charge tips without my permission anyways! That is completely illegal. Luckily, I checked my card statement and she did not charge anything. my son placed an order for me this afternoon and my soup was subpar in taste! they gave me a 32 oz container for my Wong tong soup with less than half full for almost $10.00. I just called there and the lady wanted argue with me about my soup. I feel I'm right for expressing myself about the quality of my soup especially when Iam home sick and can't eat solid foods right now. I've come here a bunch of times now with friends and it's time to give this great restaurant 5 stars. I always get the same thing, the pad kee mow, and every time it's been delicious. This restaurant is full of inviting people who work here. They're all so cheerful and polite! The consistency in value, food quality, and service is all 5 star worthy. Plus, the food comes out so quick and it's always the perfect temperature! My most recent visit was so quick, my friend and I thought we must've gotten another table's order. Come to Saigon Bangkok. You won't be disappointed. Their food is scrumptious and even their desserts are incredible! I highly suggest their white chocolate ice cream bomb! The waitstaff are all delightful and I just love coming here. I've also never had to wait for a table, even though it's always got plenty of diners. Thai out Saigon for some delicious Asian inspired meals! Met a friend for lunch and definitely a great spot for good pad Thai and fresh food! The restaurant was not that busy, we got there as soon as they opened around 11 and first ones there, a few others floated in as we sat. Served with a smile and got cucumber infused water right away and cups were always full (underrated part of good service is having water!!) Got spring rolls as an app, which is 2 large ones cut in half, delicious with the zesty oil dipping sauce. We have ordered the chicken crazy noodles and the tofu and veg pad Thai both hot. They came out fast and at the perfect temperature! The flat crazy noodles came in a really nice white curry and the flavour was incredibly complex and delicious. Pad Thai was huge serving size with tons of rice noodles, sautéed veg and crispy tofu with peanuts and fresh sprouts. Best array of texture, sweet and spicy flavours and so satisfying! Saigon is my newest favorite spot for curry!!! The green curry is the perfect blend of heat, spice, and coconut flavor. I literally want their recipe to make it at home it's so delicious! We've also had the red curry and panang curry which were all yummy. Most recently we tried their potsticker special and they were so crispy and flavorful. You really can't beat their lunch special prices if you're looking for a reasonable and delicious meal. Not sure what this place is trying to do but yuk! The hot and soup was a bunch of left overs thrown together. The spring rolls were the thickness of a marker and gross. The pad Thai was dry, I asked for maximum spice and I would rate the spice level a 2 of 10. I have eaten pad Thai at about 150 places all over, this is the 2nd worst. I have been supporting this location for years! Always was good food and service. Today was an exception. A friend and I were there for lunch; not crowded, maybe two other tables were occupied. I ordered the yellow curry, it was to be yellow squash and chicken in a yellow curry sauce. Well my plate came and there was plenty of yellow squash but no chicken. I waved to the server, who was incidentally eating her lunch at a nearby table and told her I had ordered chicken. She picked up my fork and started moving the food around until she found a piece of chicken!! She said, "there's your chicken"! I rarely complain about food but she went too far when she picked up my fork. I asked for more chicken and she picks up my plate to go to the kitchen. I asked her to leave my plate and just bring the chicken on another plate. She sad she had to show the cook that it was missing the protein. I've never had a server so indignant and she has worked there for a long time. There are many Thai restaurants in the area and I will be dining at those establishments from now on. We've had take out from this location, I might add, their take out portions are much smaller than eat in portions for the same price. read more

Being in Tonawanda for the day, I searched around for a local eateries. I came across a place called Saigon Bangkok which looked promising. Starting off with a few appetizers, I went with the Chicken Satay, Vietnamese Pancake and Papaya Salad. These huge hunks of chicken are marinated in Thai herbs then charbroiled and served with a peanut sauce. The chicken was tender and moist which paired perfectly with a great peanut sauce. The Vietnamese Pancake aka "bánh xèo" was incredible. The outside was super thin and crispy and jampacked with shrimp, pork, onions, bean sprouts, scallions and served with lettuce, basil leaves and a sweet garlic sauce. The Papaya Salad is hands down the best I've had from any restaurant. I wasn't expecting a mountain of shredded papaya mixed with onions, carrots, basil leaves tossed with a garlic dressing then topped with fried onion. The garlic dressing was spot on. A little sweet, a little sour and packed with flavour. Easily one of the best appetizers I've ever had from any restaurant. For mains, we ordered a Dancing Seafood, Pho and Pad Thai with Beef. The Dancing Seafood featured New Zealand mussels, shrimp, squid, scallops and fish fillets. Stir-fried with lemon grass, lime leaves, onions, red & green peppers and their house special chili lemon grass sauce. The seafood was very fresh and I love the fact the dish had a small kick without burning my mouth off. I've never been to fond of overly spicy seafood dishes. The Pho had good flavour and packed with a few different cuts of beef and served with bean sprouts, basil leaves, scallions, cilantro and hoisin sauce. The Pad Thai was also very well done and the beef was incredible tender. This one in particular had a nice balance. Not too sweet nor sour which I prefer. I'd have to say that this restaurant is definitely delicious. It's always consistently good quality when I stop by here. They have really great Basil Fried Rice that's vegan and delicious. I've admittedly gotten quite a bit of takeout during the pandemic, and other restaurants haven't been nearly this consistent. Restaurants I enjoyed previously went down in quality, but I've been eating at Saigon Bangkok for a decade now and they've been so consistent. They're great about accommodating gluten free and vegan requirements. Go to Hamburg location or transit rd location. Quality is not good at this location. You can taste and see the difference. Also I always order my items with gluten allergy milk allergy. Today they delivered with gluten co raining ingredients on all 3 of my items. I called them and they were awful. They kept passing me to people and when I finally spoke to the manager, she basically told me oh well. Call uber eats if you want a credit not us. Terrible customer service.
