Ordered takeout. I don't like to rate restaurants on takeout, because it's never as good as sit-down, but here I am anyway. The cashier was a little gruff, but the woman running back and forth between the kitchen and the front had a better business sense about keeping customers happy. She didn't want me to wait long, so I think she rushed the kitchen a little bit, which I appreciated, but also may have led to some of the demerits on the food I mention below. I was happy to see one dish I ordered, the pig intestine with fish, on their picture board above the cash registers. That gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing and it was the best dish by far out of the three I ordered. The intestine was fresh and flavorful, the spice level was high, but also not too salty. It was a lot of food. Only drawback here was the fish (tilapia?) seemed to be heavy on the breading. The other two dishes were disappointing. Penang curry with pork had good vegetables, but the sauce had too little flavor since they went too heavy on the coconut milk. The pork seemed like chicken, not pork. Way too soft and flavorless. The Singapore Chow Mei Fun had good noodles and veggies. But the curry powder was not blended in. Eating it, I could still feel it in powder form. It was also far too oily. Overall, I think they had a lot of options but next time I'd steer more towards classic Chinese, since that seems to be what they do well. I hope next time the flavors will be stronger and blended better (i.e. powders actually stirred in). I'm willing to give them another chance, since they do have a lot of dishes I like. Last note: the online ordering service does not indicate that dishes come with rice. I thought they would have rice by default, but then when I added the penang curry to my cart, it asked whether I wanted rice or noodles or something else. So that made me think I had to order rice separately, which meant I had twice as much rice as I needed. It also said "quart of white rice" was sold out, but "pint of white rice" was not, yet the rice that came with my meal came in a quart container. read more

Ordered from Mahar Moe to try a new place for Chinese food; it offered Chinese and also Thai food. The whole family was extraordinarily impressed with the quality and quantity of food. We ordered takeout and the containers were bursting. Additionally, everything was fantastic. We got sweet/sour chicken, pad thai, General Tso, and egg drop soup and hot&sour soup. Everything was perfect. Additionally, upon pickup of the food, service was prompt and kind. It is a quaint space and I look forward to sitting down for food there in the future. read more

What a mess. They were short staffed and extremely busy with take-out orders. They gave the take-out orders priority :( There was one group in the restaurant seated when we arrived. We were the second group (two people). We waited at least 10 minutes to be seated, at least 15 mins. for our order to be taken, and left after waiting an additional 20 mins. for our food. One of the staff said to be patient - it would take 40 mins. for our order to come. Several of the customers for take-out arrived and found their orders were not prepared yet. Just an all-around mess. In-restaurant customers should be their first priority. They should not have taken so many take-out orders given their staffing. read more

I came for wonton soup due to review after some hiking in cold day. And yes that wonton soup definitely satisfied my craving and more. For a little less than $7 with tax, got a Large Wonton soup to go. Let me tell you, reviews are valid, the broth, omg I was sitting in the car and had to drink some. The wonton is also perfectly made and seasoned. Greeted with friendly and smiley customer service. Nice clean restaurant and atmosphere. Improvement would start out with staff. The female receiving phone and handing out takeout was exceptionally not pleasant and quite rude! The food was just okay. Fantastic! Stopped by because it was recommended on my local Facebook group in my neighborhood. So glad I did. Lots of gluten free options! Everything is made in house and they use either corn or potato starch for breading and sauces - so the only wheat products are in some types of noodles like Lo Mien and the egg rolls. I talked with the chef to make sure about this because my husband is gluten intolerant - he ate the pad Thai and the general Tsos and was fine. The chicken in both dishes was perfectly cooked and the shrimp was perfectly seasoned with salt and black pepper and so tender! The egg roll was delicious - I didn't ask but it tasted like it was made there. Looking forward to trying more dishes here! read more

When I'm looking for takeout Chinese food, I'm always up for trying some place new. Driving he I noticed this place just opened. They have a vast menu of not only American Chinese dishes but also authentic Chinese and Thai dishes. I ordered away from my norm and got the coconut chicken and the crispy beef. The flavor was amazing. Even tho the crispy beef was topped with a nice sweet sauce, every piece was still crispy and delicious. The coconut chicken was extremely flavorful, and the rice was fluffy and sweet. This place pleasantly surprised me. I will be working my way through the menu. The only thing that was a tad shocking was the price. All I ordered was two dishes, and my bill was $42. The average menu item is around $18. The portion sizes are decent, but this isn't your typical "hole in the wall" Chinese food prices read more

I got an order of the typhoon shelter shrimp. It was served with the shells still on. This is very unusual. You should inform customers to expect this. I'm disappointed. I don't dispute that the food was authentic but that as an uninformed diner I had no idea that the shells would remain. I think I should have been told or offered a choice. It was also extremely salty which is not good for many older people like me. I bet the meal had 5000mg of salt. I wish you success in your restaurant. read more

Awesome everything! Ordered pickup, food was ready right when it was slated to be. We ordered vegetable lo mein, Hunan, beef, crab, Rangoon's, and two vegetable eggrolls. Everything tasted amazing! AMAZINGGGGGG!!!!! Omg this place is beyond delicious, they started us off with hot tea right to the table along with some crispies. We had dumplings that were cooked PERFECTLY and they even packaged up our leftovers for us at the table. The service was fantastic there was never a moment we were waiting around for anything they came right over and truly took care of us. The sesame chicken was done so well it wasn't super breaded like a lot of Chinese places do (like take out style) it has made this place my new fav!!!!! Highly recommend. The food at this restaurant was spectacular. So much so, that I really don't want to tell you- my reader -about this place! The service was beyond compare the chef checked on us throughout the meal. Three of us ordered five entrées as well as a couple of appetizers, including coconut shrimp, salt and pepper pork ribs, cashew chicken, etc. etc. The food was really spectacular well priced and authentic. The food here is so good! I've tried both their Chinese and Thai options and was equally impressed with them both, as was my husband. They have a vast menu with lots of vegetarian options as well. I love Thai and Asian food and decided to try a new place, I hit the jackpot. I've been there 4 times the last 2 weeks. Everything I've tried , Hunan chicken, Pad Thai, Red Curry and Panang Curry were excellent ! Plenty of chicken with nice fresh vegetables. Sevice was extra special. Wanted to try somewhere new for Chinese so we gave Mahar Moe a try. We ordered chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, won ton soup and crab Rangoon. Unfortunately the crab Rangoon were left out of the bag, but not a huge deal. Our food was fresh and delicious, we will definitely be back. read more

I was pleasantly surprised! I wish they had a choice for 4.5 stars. It would more accurately describe how I feel. This place is extremely clean and everyone is extremely nice. Check out the pictures to see how big the large version of wonton soup is. I was in the area and did a quick search on yelp. I did not realize I was able to eat here. So I ordered a lot of food to take out. I ended up sitting down and was very happy that I did! Any minor complaints are related to my taste. I remember the good old days. I remember the eggrolls that looked like this and had pork and MSG in it! I remember biting into them and having grease coming out of the other end. I really miss that! Great sweet and sour chicken. The vegetable dishes (lo mein, fried rice) could be cooked a little more. If you like more of a crunch to your veggies, you will find these cooked perfectly. The girl said nothing grabbed the menus with an eye roll...immediately we were uncomfortable. We sat down she came back and put tea on the table.. I thanked her no response and another eye roll. We were looking for a Chinese place to go to on Christmas, and we found the great reviews for this place. So, with high hopes, we decided to try it. Nice lighting, easy parking and friendly waitstaff. We ordered beef with garlic sauce, sweet and sour chicken, and general Tao's chicken. They brought out the food as it was ready. First was the sweet and sour chicken. First of all, the sauce was on the side. So, it was basically breaded popcorn chicken with dipping sauce. It wasn't the worst thing, but wasn't what I was expecting either. The second dish to come out was the general tso's chicken. We each eagerly tried the general tso's, since the first dish wasn't what either of us wanted. This was unlike any general tso's chicken that I ever had before. In a word, not good. So, we waited for the garlic beef with vegetables. After five more minutes, we received the beef with garlic sauce. We each tried the beef, but spit it out. It was thin, but all fat. The vegetables were Asian vegetables, nothing like broccoli or peas. Not a good flavor. The two tables next to us had people that were coughing and sneezing. I was done. None of it was good. I left my partner to take care of the bill. When he left all of our food and didn't ask for leftovers, he ended up talking to the chef, who told him "you don't like anything, just go." So, the best part of this experience, was that we didn't have to pay for this food. I'm sorry, but I can't recommend this place. read more
