Good food. Expensive! Service was okay, but they had to come back to the table twice to confirm our order. The place was busy on a Saturday evening around 530. We had to wait about 20 mins for a table. There was no water refill and the table was soaking wet when we say down. Overall, a place I might be back to. We'll see. Worth a stop. My buddy said the food was all really good too. Parking lot is chaotic and packed. The inside is fresh and bright.

This spot landed on the Top Places to Eat in Buffalo and I knew I had to try it out. I have heard a lot about this place from friends and finally made the drive to get some of their food for lunch. It's an old Pizza Hut which is awesome! I stopped in during lunch time and this place was packed. The lunch hour here must be super busy. I waited a couple minutes for my order. The service here is fast and friendly. I ended up getting a large order of crab rangoon and some bao buns. Nothing too crazy, just a couple favorites for a quick lunch. The buns were cooked perfectly and the filling was hot and flavorful. The crab rangoon was so great! A really good flavor and the rangoons were cooked perfectly. It was the perfect mix of a soft and crunchy lunch. I will definitely be back to order more and will definitely dine in next time.

OG Dumpling House has quickly become one of those places we can't stop thinking about. From the moment the steamer baskets hit the table, it's clear they know exactly what they're doing. The soup dumplings are juicy and well-constructed--no dry bites here. The steamed buns are soft, fluffy, and comforting, and the crispy tofu is perfectly cooked with great flavor and texture. Honestly, no notes. Beyond the food, the pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portions, and the overall vibe is casual, warm, and welcoming--perfect for a laid-back meal that still feels special. Great food, great value, great atmosphere. OG Dumpling House understood the assignment and delivered. We'll absolutely be back.

Stopped for dinner with some friends. It was extremely busy and the servers were busy so the service was slow. Everything was really good except the bao buns, the veggie bao had hardly any filling and taste, the beef was better but lacking filling. Everything else was real good! We had curry coconut chicken, sesame chicken, chicken fried rice, teriyaki chicken, crab rangoons, green beans and a bunch of dumplings/ buns! It was also extremely warm inside! We will definitely be back to try other menu items!

I am from San Francisco, and walk over to Chinatown often just for a quick healthy snack, meal or more. Food I get are always flavor-filled, huge in portions and great taste.... I miss that. My wife had seen this place mentioned somewhere, and knows how I love authentic chinese food. We were all over the Buffalo area with my drone today for photography, and driving home, she said we MuST stop here. Not too busy, and was able to park right in front. Place looks good, and many were dining inside with a good number of people constantly coming in to pick up, or dine in. I had my hopes up. We tried the shrimp dumplings, the fried calamari, the fried green beans, and pork bao. - fried calamari: probably the best tasting item. crisp, hot, and tender. NOT a lot of flavor. - pork bao: tiny!! In Chinatown of San Francisco, it's more than three times LARGeR than the size of these tiny little things they call bao! Inside was a clump of meat, with no sauce inside, though tiny dishes of sauce were provided. - fried crusty green beans were probably the best item after the calamari. I asked about the portion size, and see they had given us a lot more as it was my wife and I eating. All in all, it was a very expensive snack, and for this amount of money paid in San Francisco, I would've had much more in portion size and flavor! I would've eaten for an hour instead of the few minutes here. I suspect the people we saw coming in and already dining, do not know how much they are missing in real asian foods, plus the tiny portions served here! We were served quite quickly, which surprised me as one reviewer mentioned they weren't served in a timely manner, nor even greeted. Not a problem during our visit. The unisex bathrooms/WC by the front door were messy and required some attention. Be sure to lock the door well as it is unisex. In general, I was disappointed by the quantity of the foods, the lack of real flavor, and missing the real asian food feel. The portions were very tiny, really tiny!! For military or veterans, they DO offer a 5% discount upon proof, and while the smiling girl who I showed my ID to, another girl rang up my bill, who didn't know I requested a military discount, and so a military discount was NOT reflected on the receipt. Oh well..... the right ear doesn't hear or care what the left ear heard! In general, I wanted to really like the place, but I think I'll return to Chinatown in my San Francisco hometown for my next authentic, great tasting food next time!

Having heard good things about this Dumpling House two of us went there for lunch. One vegetarian and one regular meat eater. The order included Crab Rangoon and BBQ Pork Bao , Vegetable Bao and Red Bean Bao and Chocolate Bao. The servers were all young and helpful and the food seemed made to order hot and fresh. Everything was fine. I thought the Vegetable Bao had a lovely flavor. If I came back I would try some of their Udon menu items. The atmosphere was uninspired. A former Pizza Hut with nothing else really done to it.

Came here for dinner on Tuesday. Got a table immediately and received menus and water right away. We ordered fried pork and chive dumplings and they were fantastic. Next came our dinners: Pad Thai and Singapore Linguine. Both were good but neither one wowed us. Both could have used more sauce. No one asked how our meals were, so we couldn't ask for more sauce. They offer a 5 percent discount if you pay with cash.

I first tried this place in Rochester and was so excited that they opened up another location here in Buffalo. There, Singapore Vercelli noodles are one of my favorites ever I usually get it without the pork. The dumplings are always very good. I just wish the soup dumplings had more options with no pork. The only no pork option is shrimp. The workers are really nice. The places is also very nice and clean. It's crazy that it used to be a Pizza Hut back in the days but amazing how they turned it around.

Coming from NYC's LES, I found myself thinking of Chinese food. My daughter and I came across this through Yelp and decided to give it a whirl. So we did, we pretty much ordered it all and were very well pleased. The Pork Belly Baos were perfect. As were the Soup Dumplings. Their Beef Chow Fun (Broad Noodles) was very well made. Service was fast, food was piping hot and the restaurant was clean. I only wished hot Chili Oil with pepper flakes was available

Yum! Homemade dumplings! Yes! We tried the BBQ pork Bao and egg custard(almost more of a dessert). Came hot and were fluffy with sweet taste. Highly recommend. Pork belly buns were good but I've had way better pork belly. Little more overpowered with peanuts. Crab ragoons were crispy, hot and flavorful. Served w a sweet, spicy sauce that paired well. Pork and chive fried dumplings were cooked to perfection. I cannot wait to go back to try more of the menu. Pork lo mein was good with large sizes of pork inside. Now let's talk price. Very reasonable for what you get. Price per person depends on what you order and how much you want try. I think it was pretty cheap compared to other night outs with my husband. It was a busy Saturday night so we waited about half hr for a table. It was a quick turn around for seating. I will say it was so busy that servers don't really have much time to check in on you so we did have flag someone down to order our take home stuff. It was loud in there due to amount of people inside and it was smaller restaurant. Drinks are limited, they have cans of coke products and that's about it. Overall, the food was fantastic and well worth it.

I have seen a lot of failed pizza hut redo's but this takes the sesame dumping cake! Really cute and very comfortable. And the decor and tasteful creativity is indicative of everything else they are doing. Responsive, friendly service. She let us know how long things would take and while we never were "waiting" she put us at ease. Not sure which was better but the hot and sour (no pork thankfully) and the chicken dumpling soups were just fabulous. The dumplings we got satisfied a lot of our cravings! Loved, loved this whole experience.

I got takeout here on a Thursday night. The parking lot was pretty packed but I still found parking. I bet it would be difficult on a weekend night though. I got takeout but the inside was super cute. The takeout process was really easy I just ordered online and picked up the food quickly. The food was ready within 15 minutes of ordering it. I got the xiao long bao and pan fried chicken dumplings. Both were very good and I would get them again. I'm excited to try more from them!

This was a great stop. The employees were very attentive and fast. There was so much to try. All the noodles were amazing but we trued the stir-fry udon vegetables and it was fantastic the sauce was great. We also had the og peanut noodles tofu and it was great the toy was so crispy. I would definitely recommend the fried green beans they were so good. The egg custard bar was very sweet and decadent. The ambiance was not a very fancy place but cool the people were all really cool and the music was well selected. Would recommend

The second you walk in, you immediately smell the real hardwood lump charcoal they've been grilling over since they first started in the late 1920s, and you can actually watch them cook your food to order (which I love). The place oozes a casual backyard BBQ energy, and it feels like an old school Buffalo institution that might no longer be in its heyday, but it clearly still has a hardcore group of local fans. It was confusing as first time diners to figure out how it all works. First, you go in and place your order with the person behind the grill. The nice lady immediately started grilling our meats. Next comes the toppings that can be customized, and then any additional side orders. You pay, get your food, and seat yourself. The dining room is clean but delightfully frozen in time, looking very late-'70s retro in a way that feels exactly right. The seating is old, dingy, and uncomfortable, so this isn't a restaurant where you'd want to sit and linger. Food-wise, this is definitely a spot for beef and sausage lovers. If you're not into that, fair warning: my grilled chicken was pretty mediocre and mostly just tasted like charcoal (which some people might love, but it wasn't doing much for me). The flavor was exactly like what I'd eat when my Uncle would break out the charcoal grill in the backyard during my childhood. The smell and taste brought back pleasant memories, but I guess I'm so used to gas grills or wood grills now that charcoal seems so dated. Meanwhile, my husband's sausage on a bun absolutely stole the show. His was loaded with grilled onions, juicy, smoky, and genuinely drool-worthy. I was a little jealous just looking at it. If you eat sausages, I would recommend ordering that here. There's not a lot for non-red meat eaters, and certainly this isn't the place for vegetarians! Despite my disappointing chicken breast, there were plenty of wins. The buns were especially soft and delicious, and I loved the fresh leaf lettuce and tomato on my sandwich. The produce tasted fresh and bright and wasn't wilted at all, which genuinely surprised me. We split the half-and-half side (which was half fries and half onion rings). The fries were nothing noteworthy, but the onion rings were the real star. Get those crispy, flavorful rings and thank me later! Also, shoutout to the two free pickles on the side, which is a small touch that equalled big happiness. There's also a self-serve soda fountain with free refills of Pepsi products! I'm glad I spotted Ted's and decided to stop in. I couldn't resist the old school exterior, and I can see why this continues to stay in business (despite it not being crowded at all the night we dined there). It might not be the best pick if you're avoiding beef or sausage, but it's still a fun, very Buffalo place to try. Between the smoky grill, the retro atmosphere, and those killer onion rings, it feels like a local rite of passage. I'm glad we did it.

Can't be beat for charcoal grilled hot dogs & hamburgers. You can even buy charcoal to take home…read morewith you. Service is always spot on. When you place your order, you know it's going to be great. It has an old-fashioned road-side burger & dog feel. You'll love it.
