My friends and I stopped by OG Dumpling House for lunch, and it definitely lived up to the hype! While they're known for their dumplings, I liked that the menu also offers soups, rice, noodles, and other dishes for a little more variety. Service was quick, and our food came out hot and fresh shortly after we ordered. We shared everything family-style, including the pan-fried pork and chive dumplings, crab and pork xiao long bao, and the OG peanut noodles with chicken. Everything was delicious, but the xiao long bao was easily the highlight. The dumpling skin was the perfect thickness, and you could really taste the crab in the filling. The prices were also very reasonable, especially compared to other dumpling spots I've been to that cost more without matching the quality. Love this little spot. Looks like and old Pizza Hut from the outside but don't be fooled, what you'll find inside is much better. My wife and I are dumpling aficionados and mostly have to make our own at home so we were excited when this place opened. It was super busy when we got there, even on a Monday night, but we still got served pretty fast. We had two types of dumplings, chicken and pork, both pan fried and they were both great. We also tried the pork belly bun which exceeded expectations. For dessert we had the sesame balls which were sweet and had the perfect texture. Party of three really enjoyed the dumplings,and bao, but two orders of the OG Peanut Noodles were surprisingly bland without much flavor.

The hostess handed me a menu and said, "Sit anywhere". Lovely interior: Lots of light, bamboo on the walls, and a beautiful red tone, to contrast with rice harvest tools and calligraphy scrolls. Before I forget, there was a posted sign: "Cash is 5% discount". I saw other tables received steamer baskets full of dumplings: Bao, shiu mai, and xiao long bao, which was a very attractive presentation. There are no condiments on the table, but the waitress will bring whatever you ask for. I ordered the spiciest thing on the menu: Dan Dan noodles. I'm on a quest for something to make me feel the burn. This wasn't it either. If I had to guess the ingredients, I'd say a cup of fried ground pork over a quart of mushy noodles, water for broth, and a sprinkling of chopped cilantro floating in a quarter teaspoon chili oil. At the very bottom of the bowl there was a slight taste of mala chili peppers. At $14 it was filling, nourishing, but I'd probably try the soup dumplings next time. read more

This is a super cute little Asian food restaurant that has a decent sized dine in area. The service was friendly and prompt and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Mixed feelings about the food- we loved the pork and chive dumplings and DO NOT SKIP THE CHOCOLATE DUMPLINGS FOR DESSERT! The chocolate dumplings are amazing- filled with what tastes like brownie batter. The spicy wontons were weird, kind of tasted sweet but also like vinegar. We only ate a couple and didn't take the leftovers home. The soup dumplings were just okay, we didn't love those either. It's an old Pizza Hut which is awesome! I stopped in during lunch time and this place was packed. The lunch hour here must be super busy. I waited a couple minutes for my order. The service here is fast and friendly. I ended up getting a large order of crab rangoon and some bao buns. Nothing too crazy, just a couple favorites for a quick lunch. The buns were cooked perfectly and the filling was hot and flavorful. The crab rangoon was so great! A really good flavor and the rangoons were cooked perfectly. Having heard good things about this Dumpling House two of us went there for lunch. One vegetarian and one regular meat eater. The order included Crab Rangoon and BBQ Pork Bao , Vegetable Bao and Red Bean Bao and Chocolate Bao. The servers were all young and helpful and the food seemed made to order hot and fresh. I am from San Francisco, and walk over to Chinatown often just for a quick healthy snack, meal or more. Food I get are always flavor-filled, huge in portions and great taste.... I miss that. My wife had seen this place mentioned somewhere, and knows how I love authentic chinese food. We were all over the Buffalo area with my drone today for photography, and driving home, she said we MuST stop here. Not too busy, and was able to park right in front. Place looks good, and many were dining inside with a good number of people constantly coming in to pick up, or dine in. I had my hopes up. We tried the shrimp dumplings, the fried calamari, the fried green beans, and pork bao. - fried calamari: probably the best tasting item. crisp, hot, and tender. NOT a lot of flavor. - pork bao: tiny!! In Chinatown of San Francisco, it's more than three times LARGeR than the size of these tiny little things they call bao! Inside was a clump of meat, with no sauce inside, though tiny dishes of sauce were provided. - fried crusty green beans were probably the best item after the calamari. I asked about the portion size, and see they had given us a lot more as it was my wife and I eating. All in all, it was a very expensive snack, and for this amount of money paid in San Francisco, I would've had much more in portion size and flavor! I would've eaten for an hour instead of the few minutes here. I suspect the people we saw coming in and already dining, do not know how much they are missing in real asian foods, plus the tiny portions served here! We were served quite quickly, which surprised me as one reviewer mentioned they weren't served in a timely manner, nor even greeted. Not a problem during our visit. The unisex bathrooms/WC by the front door were messy and required some attention. Be sure to lock the door well as it is unisex. In general, I was disappointed by the quantity of the foods, the lack of real flavor, and missing the real asian food feel. The portions were very tiny, really tiny!! For military or veterans, they DO offer a 5% discount upon proof, and while the smiling girl who I showed my ID to, another girl rang up my bill, who didn't know I requested a military discount, and so a military discount was NOT reflected on the receipt. Oh well..... the right ear doesn't hear or care what the left ear heard! Set in an old Pizza Hut, this dumpling restaurant filled the bill for what we were looking for. Crowded, always a good sign, we were still able to grab a table for five. We had to study the menu for a while to figure out what to order. After selecting a large variety, we settled to wait for our food, which came pretty quickly. We were pleasantly surprised. Ok, i made this promise on chinese new year ... this review will be in capitals because i want to shout it out!! OG Dumpling House is AMAZING, AWESOME, and OH SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! Having never been to the OG Dumpling House we were impressed with the menu and the reviews and also, it was convenient to where we were and where we were going! So off we went for a New Year's Lunch celebration! We were greeted with a warm & friendly welcome by the staff who gave us the option to choose our own seats while we looked at the menu (By the time we left the dining room had filled up). One of the best decisions ever made was to order their Chicken Wonton Soup. It is so AROMATIC that my friend dreamed of recreating the aroma as a welcoming treat into their home. The wait staff told us that they have been tweaking the recipe. Well, stop right now because you have created the BEST WON TON soup either of us have ever enjoyed!!! My friend who has been to China for work and sampled soups on the mainland declared it was the BEST CHINESE SOUP she has ever had. I ordered the hot and soup soup and frankly it was really good too but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ORDER the Chicken Won Ton soup!! The rest of the meal was almost as INCREDIBLE (It's hard to compare something that is the BEST EVER with food that is just OUTSTANDING.)! The Szechuan Wontons OH MY ... the roasted chili sauce made them a bit slippery (the first one slid out of my chopsticks.) but that SAUCE THEY WERE SERVED IN WAS INCREDIBLE sauce and the dipping sauce's flavoring only enhanced what was already SO DELICIOUS. We added the pork & chives steamed dumplings .... oh SO CLOSE TO PERFECT. I was hoping that their FLAVOR WOULD LINGER IN MY MOUTH all afternoon!! Their dipping sauce was PERFECT (Ok, truth be told this was the PERFECT CHINESE NEW YEAR LUNCH!!! PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT, and did i mention the staff was AWESOME and ATTENTTIVE and they also shared the story of OG Dumpling House with us.). And, these days you can't visit a dumpling house without trying their xiao long bao. When i lifted the cover of the steamer basket those 5 dumplings looked so appealing but once lifted onto a spoon ... and I nibbled at the corner and drank in the broth well ... guess what the OG Dumpling House's version of the classic pork soup dumplings are perfect!!! They actually seemed less salty than my favorite place near home's xiao long bao's. To top it all off, the restaurant's atmosphere is welcoming and sparkling clean. Happy New Year everyone ... we started the Year of the Snake with a surprisingly awesome lunch and we will be back. We both said that if we lived in the area we'd be eating here at least twice a month!!! I love those things. The sesame chicken was all right honestly not too impressed but you go here for dumplings so that's why I'm gonna give it five stars. I can't really speak to the service inside because we placed an order to go, but it was done in 20 minutes and everything was piping hot so there to go service was great. We finally got over to visit OG Dumpling House. You can't miss it on the Blvd. Just look for the old Pizza Hut. There isn't a huge menu but there doesn't need to be. My niece turned 20 and wanted to come here for her birthday lunch. Not what I would of picked for a free lunch, BUT I have to say glad she did. In the old pizza hut on the Boulevard and was so cute inside because it still has that pizza hut vibe, which was nostalgic for me. Upon walking in was greeted right away and told we could sit where we wanted too. Probably wasn't seated two minutes when server came over greeting us again and ready to take orders. Which was great but too soon, haha. The menu has a lot of options which needed more time to review. Once we decided on things to order, we started with sharables, which I took as appetizers, then the server told us we can put everything in, which we did. The food comes out quick. My only issue was things came out in pieces. So like I got my main dish before any shareables, then more of my dishes came out before my nieces. They just brought things out as they were done in no particular order. But the food was blazing hot. The portions are huge. We loved everything. The dumplings we tried the chicken and chives as well as the chicken and cabbage. They were plump and tasty. I ordered a green tea and was brought out a big tea pot for 3.00. For the sharables we got scallion pancakes with a dipping sauce, not that I've had tons of scallion pancakes and not an expert but these were probably the best I've had and the dipping sauce was a great pairing. Our other sharable were the fried green beans. These were fried to perfection and again paired with a great sauce. I could of eaten more plates of these!! For our mains, we got the vegetable lo mein, lan zhou spicy beef noodle and crab and pork long bao. The spicy beef noodle bowl was amazing. If you like spice this is your dish.
