16. Teriyaki Chicken

My go to Chinese restaurant for years. Never had a complaint. Spent over $50 and the one thing I bought for myself was Teriyaki Chicken. Usually it's saucy and moist. Today over cooked, dry and couldn't eat the rest.

We were pretty satisfied with our order here today. We ordered Bourbon chicken, Chicken Lo Mein and General Tso's chicken. The portion sizes are huge, and the food was hot and fresh. I really loved the Bourbon chicken - very flavorful. The food overall is slightly salty, but other than that, everything was pretty good. :)

Excellent food and service. Prices are very reasonable. I suggest take out or delivery because they only have a few tables.

Firstly, it's late May, so it's a happy overlap of two of my favorite seasons: Oysters and blue…read morecrab! Stormin' Crab offers their blue crabs one of two ways: Either added as a side to any boil (topped with your favorite seasonings), or served as a fried crab basket. The oyster appetizer (sold as six or twelve) can be raw or grilled. I adore them raw, and these are Bluepoints! They were plump, glistening, and had a great sweet and briney flavor. My husband's gumbo was thick with rice and andouille sausage, with baby shrimp. It also had a powerful black pepper kick. Very tasty! The boil arrived on a stainless steel platter in a large plastic bag, ballooned out with steam. We had chosen the butter, medium spicy. I thought the saltiness overpowered the flavor of the seafood, but your mileage may vary. Combo C had so much food we took a third of it home! We really enjoyed our meal here!

Update: subtracting 1 star because my kid got sick from the oily food. Never again…read more The staff was so nice and the facility is very clean however we just didn't care for the food itself. We ordered the cajun mix for crawfish and snow crab and garlic butter snow crab. All the boils are doused full of butter flavored oil (not real butter) which didn't allow for any flavor to reach your tongue or the meat. I may be spoiled with real Louisiana and Texas crawfish and seafood boils but the oil was so unpleasant. The crawfish was oily, flavorless, and tasted dirty. The crab was probably presalted and just reheated in the boil. I asked for some cajun seasoning and salt to sprinkle on top but there was just too much oil. I am disappointed with this type of boil and hope I can find a more traditional type with no oil somewhere in Buffalo.

This place is quaint and important for us... locally owned. Even the hostess was wonderful. I have mobility issues and she kindly and patiently waited for me. Most hostesses rush to the table and don't wait for me to keep up. It was a small gesture but kind. The restaurant is handicapped accessible too.

Their specialty is seafood and they are known for lobster rolls. The restaurant is in what looks like an old house, so we did drive right by. The parking lot was packed when we arrived, and for pretty good reason! Highly recommend making a reservation - the parking lot was full and so was the dining room. We had a reservation for 6:30 on a Saturday and were seated right away. Obviously, we were getting seafood. The menu is moderately sized, with some raw but mostly cooked options. Steamed are New England style, plain with butter. I chose steamed crab legs. They were priced fair, and I thought the meat was good quality! it was 6 legs in the serving, with 2 sides, so a generous portion. I appreciated the kitchen shears that they provided, it's how we do it at home! My date had surf and turf, and had no complaints, but did claim to be "stuffed". We also had tiramisu, which was delicious! The vibe is pretty laid back for a seafood restaurant, and there were big groups having a good time.
