Pretty sure I found a public hair in my food from hair... Do not recommend! I got food from this spot and found a black curly hair sitting right on top of my food when I opened the container. I don't think I've ever seen a person of that descent with curly hair on top of their head so I'm assuming it came from somewhere else! It was sitting right on top of the dish I ordered as if it were placed there purposely. I've never been back and will never go back! read more

This has been my go-to take out spot for a few years now. I feel super safe ordering food here during covid. They have a pass through window with a little door for money/food exchange. They also have lots of hand sanitizer if that wasnt enough. Their food is always hot and delicious. I saw them making their crab rangoon by hand one day, and that solidified my love for the restaurant. Their lunch specials are AMAZING. Soup, fried rice, and your choice of meat and it's so cheap! Today, I was feeling lazy and China King beckoned. I got the sesame chicken, kung po shrimp, veggie lo mein, eggrolls, and wonton soup (to share with my boyfriend for about the next 3 days. China King is a solid, consistent, 4.5 star (I rounded up) takeout place that never disappoints. It's been my Southtowns go-to for Chinese for going on several years. While the Buffalo Northtowns tend to have more in the way of authentic and exotic Asian restaurants, the menu at this Blasedell strip mall joint is extensive enough to appeal to both Chinese food purists AND Americanized pallets. The staff is super friendly, absolutely competent (NEVER have they botched my order), and skillfully efficient. Food is done well with minimal wait. Great value and good portions. Oh, and their mushrooms are quartered and fresh (not canned). That's actually a big deal. Highly recommend! read more

Not to be confused with the one in Virginia (VA China King). My favorite thing about this American Chinese restaurant is that they have my beloved curry shrimp with a tiny portion for under $6, perfect for me. That's an excellent way to go and I appreciate the affordability of it cuz some of the places will only make them in large sizes for like $11. First visit. Four hard working employees. Customers coming and going and a couple dining in. I ordered the Sesame Chicken Combination Platter. It came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I requested extra sauce. The order was plenty for two people. It was hot and tasty. The chicken was a bit too crispy so a little hard to bite into. I also ordered the House Lo Mein, spicy and saucy. It was very good and tasty. The pork fried rice and lo mein each had enough p ingredients. Could not find Chinese food to my liking in Hamburg so ventured a little further to Blasdell in the Lake Avenue plaza. I will return. read more

Ordered the food, said to pick up in 20. We got there in 30 minutes and food still wasn't ready. We sat at a dining room table to eat and noticed a cockroach crawl across the floor. The food prep people weren't wearing masks and didn't change gloves between preparing dishes. Even then giving them the benefit of the doubt, we paid for our food. Only to have it handed to us warm and having it get cold on the way home. Not worth the money and probably a big health hazard, regardless of pandemic. Would never return. read more

This place had good ratings so my girl and I thought we would try it since it's not far from our abode. We ordered chicken chow mein and veggie lo mein. Definitely a positive that our food was ready in ten minutes. I didn't check my food until I got home (big dumb Maddox mistake) and I realized my chicken chow mein was just chicken with iceberg lettuce packed into my container-with the rice. I went back to the menu, which I attached to show that it clearly states that my choice came with noodles, as it has every other Chinese place where I've ordered this meal. I figured I'd call to verify and the lady on the phone told me that's how they traditionally make it and that I should have ordered lo mein since that comes with noodles. I'm extremely confused by that. She was kind on the phone but she never apologized or offered to correct my dinner to what I believed I was getting. This place is great! One of my all time favorite chinese take out places locally. Ingredients always fresh and doesnt leave me feel bloated like other places. Flavor profiles are on point consistently and for me, its a 4 minute drive! 5 stars for me personally. This place puts a lot of other chinese take out places to shame. I dont mind driving past other places to come here. One downside is if you plan to eat inside, prepare to sweat your ass off! read more

Have ordered here for years. They never have gotten one thing wrong with an order. Food is excellent. I will say they are less delicious as they used to be but still very good. Horrible. Hot & spicy dishes are not even close. I ordered broccoli w/ garlic sauce, extra spicy just to make sure. Beyond bland and not a hot pepper in sight. The vegetable fried rice is better at Wegman's. I asked for a menu and it was covered with oil. And, in my opinion, the space and kitchen aren't very clean. Sezchwan Shredded Beef....but,not....the whole container is filled with sauteed green peppers??? Not even a tiny bit spicy,nothing shredded... but I was told when I called, this was correct.. Mid afternoon, all staff eating in various parts of kitchen-hope they washed hands. Never greeted me until I said Hi. Batter on S&S pork not fully cooked. I have had China Kings General Tso's combo platter a few times now and have found it average. I prefer several other places around Hamburg / Blasdell better. I felt the same about the rice and the egg roll. The biggest issue I have with China King is how dirty the restaurant is inside. I have never eaten in as I always get my food to go but just walking into this place makes me feel dirty. I recommend a deep cleaning to the owners (including the ceiling). read more

I have never had a bad meal from here. They are friendly and the food is ready quickly and always hot. I almost always order their sesame chicken, which I did on my most recent visit, along with chicken lol mein and chicken and broccoli. The sesame chicken and chicken and broccoli was ordered as a combo meal with rice and an egg roll. My friend who had never had sesame chicken OR and egg roll before loved both. This place has yet to NOT make me feel ill and the last time I went the food was literally spoiled. Everytime I think about it, it makes my stomach turn. This place use to be great until it got new owners. Don't go here, there are other many Chinese restaurants in the Hamburg-Blasdell area. So far, this is the best carry out Chinese we have found in the area. The General Tso was good, but I wanted it hotter. The kids loved the sesame chicken. The teriyaki skewers were good.
