Very good Chinese especially since it's not in a major city , it's a local place with a big city vibe

Small but excellent food. Crab Rangoon is wonderful and my favorite. General Tsos shrimp is perfect. Great place for take out.

The shrimp Lo-mein was very tasty and the shrimp was was not overcooked and rubbery like other places I patronized. I have ordered food 3 times in the last week because it was so good. The staff are very pleasant, as well.

This is a decent Chinese takeout place in Hamburg, and also a lifesaver on Mondays when most…read morerestaurants aren't open (they're closed on Tuesdays). I'm not sure how long it's been around since I couldn't find it on Yelp and had to create the listing. I came across it last year during Covid when I went to the UPS store which is 2 doors down from it. For the last 4 years that we have lived in Hamburg, I've been dying to find a decent Chinese takeout joint in the area. We were happy when we found Ginger and Garlic, but I'm glad we now have a second option that's even closer, especially on Monday nights when Ginger and Garlic is closed! The fried dumplings are always good, though I do wish they're just a little crispier. But we still love them and always order 2 so that we each get our own. My husband really likes their pork lo mein - it usually comes with carrots and Napa cabbage (the restaurant calls it bok choy but that's because it's literally called bok choy in Chinese). Hubby despises carrots and even though he likes Napa cabbage, he orders it without it because he usually eats it over the course of 2-3 days, and he says that the cabbage gets too soggy after the first day. He usually gets the sesame chicken to go with his lo mein and enjoys the combination immensely. I usually get the pork fried rice without peas and carrots. It seems to be a popular thing around the Southtowns Chinese restaurants, but I really don't like them in my fried rice so I get mine without them. I usually get some kind of chicken dish (chicken with broccoli, chicken with mushrooms, etc.) but this time I decided to explore the menu a little and ordered the pork chop suey and the pork egg foo young. I've never had chop suey before and while I enjoyed it, I didn't love it and wouldn't order again. It was way too saucy for me and I'm weird about that - I prefer my food on the drier side, unless it's soup, of course. The egg foo young was basically a Chinese omelette and came with a delicious gravy. I really liked it and would consider ordering again. Other items we've tried that we also liked include Singapore mei fun, general tso's chicken, and some beef entrees. My husband always gets the Chinese donuts too (basically just fried dough covered in sugar) which is always delicious. I think next time I'm going to try a chow mein!

Reviewing a Chinese takeout restaurant is hard because, well, they are all basically the same…read more After 2 attempts I can say that while it's not great it gets the craving done. The general Tso and sesame chicken are good but just very meh. They are the only place I know of that doesn't allow you to substitute lo mein for the fried rice. The last visit we had (at 6pm, prime dinner time) the food just felt old and not fresh, like leftovers from a mall food court at the end of the night. The same with the egg rolls as well. While I don't think it's the best option we will be back because it's just good enough and just close enough to us, but everyone I've spoken to is very nice there.

I've heard great things about this place time and time again, but I've been here 3 times already…read moreand I am officially never going back. The food here is so bland and so expensive for the small portions. This isn't like a typical Chinese restaurant where you get enough food to last you dinner and lunch for the next day. You get a small portion that will make you want to stop by McDonald's to get something to fill you up. As I mentioned in my previous review, the crab ragoons need to be taken off the menu. These are by far the worst I've ever had. 80% of them have no filling. And the tiny bit of filling you get is completely flavorless. The shrimp mei fun I got was flavorless and had 3 pieces of shrimp in the entire thing. I appreciate the vegetables in there. It was nice to see some mushrooms which is not what most places offer. The general TSO is always the best thing. Big chunks of actual chicken breast, but also lacking flavor. Did I mention how pathetic the crab ragoons are? Just another reminder because I'm very passionate about this... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE CRAB RAGOONS.
