Saigon Bangkok is always delicious! I tried something new and it was beautifully presented and delicious. My friend got a fried rice dish which was also amazing. Clean and nice atmosphere. Good service. Always a great place to go if you're in the mood for Thai!

Summer rolls with peanut sauce, and Vietnamese iced tea

This gorgeous gem has all the benefits of classic fine dining, for a fraction of the price. Firstly, the decor: Minimalist, sleek, with dark wood, neutral walls, and chrome chandeliers. The soundtrack is Asian instrumental. The hostess immediately seated us, and gave us menus, one of which was a drinks menu. Beer, wine, and Pepsi products are featured, as well as green or jasmine tea. We were delighted to find both Thai iced tea and Vietnamese coffee available. They were creamy and flavorful. Lunch specials are available from 11-3, and there's about 20 items possible for $12. It comes with a possible hot/sour chicken soup, or a spring roll. I opted for the soup and it was wonderful, with lots of mushrooms, and generous shredded chicken in a clear broth, and a top layer of chili oil! The Panang curry was notable for the fresh peas, lightly cooked broccoli, and sweet red and green peppers cooked in a coconut milk curry sauce. A small touch I especially appreciated: Diners are offered the choice of white or brown rice, at no extra charge. My husband had the pho tai: It arrived in a huge bowl, with the usual side plate of Thai basil, limes, bean sprouts, and sirracha and oyster sauces. The roast beef was tender and full of flavor; the broth was scented with cinnamon and anise. His pronouncement? "This is the best I've ever had." There's a patio for dining outside in summer; a private parking lot for this stand-alone building keeps one secure. This is a great spot to catch up with a friend, or have a business lunch, or to come by yourself and relax. There's no TV, so the level of serenity is high.

We decided to go for a snow hike in Chestnut Ridge Park to see the internal flame. Afterwards we needed a spot to have our first dinner to the New Year and I'm so grateful for Yelp for always guiding us to the best local spots. I give this one a full 5 deserving stars! Service was on top of it and kind. My boys drink water when they are eating they drink like it's going out of style and the guy in charge of this kept up with it, my older son even said he needs to get a raise. Next up is the food, the fresh ingredients to the taste to the generous portions all lived up to the expectations. Prices were more than reasonable, felt like we made out like bandits. I had got the sizzling steak with brown rice, the brown sauce on the steak is soo good and has a nice touch of lil mushrooms. Sizzling me right up with every bite. My lil one got the basil fried rice i had a couple bites so delish. My husband got a noodle dish that had tofu and lots of veggies too good! My older son got the pad Thai he was in soup noodle heaven. The spot felt cozy and clean. I say you can judge a spot by their restrooms and sure enough soap was filled and bathroom was squeaky clean. Love that overall pleasant experience we had especially being managed with spontaneity with no rsvp - thanks Saigon Bangkok for hosting us and adding delight to our lil New Year getaway!

Hu Tieu Xao with Shrimp

Eight of us gathered here on a recent cold evening to celebrate a birthday. So glad the birthday girl loves Asian food as much as I do! It gave me a chance to finally try Vietnamese food. It's official - I'm hooked. After going over and over the huge menu, having a tough time deciding what to order, I opted to try our guest of honor's favorite: Hu Tieu Xao, stir fried rice noodles with shredded vegetables, egg, garlic sauce, chili paste and peanuts. I added shrimp, and there were plenty of plump crustaceans throughout. Their menu states that one chili pepper denotes mild spiciness, up to 4 chilis for really hot. This dish was marked one pepper, and I was sorry I didn't ask for more heat. It was very, very mild. But very, very delicious. Our party ordered so many different items, I'm having a hard time recalling them all. One friend's yellow curry arrived bubbling hot, with a generous portion of rice on the side. The crispy spring rolls were a hit. Shaky beef could have been more tender, but that didn't seem to hinder him from devouring it all. Overall, everyone was pretty pleased with their choices, and we all agreed that we'd like to return and try more dishes. And there's no shortage of options for vegetarians. The decor is strangely stark. And it was chilly! All of us were wishing we'd worn warmer clothes. Our server did a mostly good job, but earned a small demerit for not telling us the items that were unavailable until some of us wanted to order them. And the team that descended on our table to help with serving all those many dishes was so friendly and helpful. All in all, we enjoyed our visit, and I've added Saigon Bangkok to our list of places for our monthly girls' lunch.

Really good. My coworker ordered for lunch and Saigon Bangkok did not disappoint. Reasonably priced too!

I was so impressed with this place when we stopped in for dinner last weekend! It is so nice inside and feels very comfortable. The food was delicious - so fresh and flavorful. The prices were surprisingly good as well! Great location, service, and food. Will definitely be back!

Came here for date night on a Saturday night while in town. This was an old favorite Thai restaurant chain when we used to live here. But we never been to this location before (our friend recommended here as it's the closest to her house). Lots of parking. Parking is always easy in Buffalo (especially free parking). Restaurant has an outdoor patio that was closed off (too cold) and nice enclosed outside waiting area for guests to wait before entering inside. Sign outside stated all must sanitzer before touching the door and entering the premise. There was also a sign that said 50% occupancy but I saw every table filled. Hubby & I nabbed the last available table (right by the entrance, too close to my liking). It was a very popular spot as every seat was filled and lots of happy faces. Saw lots of takeouts and more customers coming in. They had to be on the waitlist and was able to wait either in their car or in the waiting area outside the door (it was enclosed). The servers would call their phone to notify them once the tables were ready- NICE! Saw great team work and excellent service. Only concern was if they had enough time in between wiping down the table & sanitizing the table to wash their hands before grabbing new plate set up with menu for the new guests. They were quick and efficient but not sure they washed their hands or change the cleaning rags often. Saw 1 set of cleaning rag with cleaning spray bottle by the bar that was used often. Love the menu book decor (I wish I snapped a picture)- menu book was big and heavy with a pair of chopstick tied on the front cover. Very beautiful. The restaurant itself looked very lovely. It doesn't have your typical Asian or Thai decors. Very Modern, Sleek and Chic. Love the bar. Bathrooms are clean and looks nice. Nice comfoty booth seating in the dining area. I came looking for a certain dish hoping they still have it. It was a friday-sunday special only and I last had it 10yrs ago on college graduation day for a celebration meal. I know, long shot. I looked and found one similar to it but the curry was changed and I didn't risk ordering it so it wouldn't taint my memory. Perhaps next time I'll try it. It was a salmon in red curry in a casserole hot bowl. In the special, it was listed in yellow curry. Hubby & I ordered: *Summer roll *Vietnamese Spring roll *Pho Dac Biet *Chicken Panang Curry [Medium Spice] with Udon noodles ($3) for substituting rice *Chicken Panang Curry [Mild] with rice for To-Go for our friend Hubby had the summer roll which has 1 small butterflied shrimp & a piece of chicken in it. I debated about getting the banh xeo but it has shrimp (I'm allergric). The spring roll seems to be like the Thai style roll with its ingredients and wrapping style. But it was pipping hot and tasty. Our entrees came; the pho has an amazing broth. More flavorful & tasty than our local Vietnamese restaurant, or maybe we were just that hungry. It was smaller than the Xe Lua pho hubby usually get. We wished they gave chopstick with the pho as it was awkward eating it with a fork. He didn't want to ask for those disposable chopsticks. We know that in Thai culture they don't use chopsticks but in Vietnamese culture they do to eat pho. Hubby was still hungry after his meal as it was a smaller portion size than expected. My panang curry was mild rather than medium, lacking in spice/flavor. It was more milky too (they put in too much coconut milk to water it down) so the color wasn't the bright reddish orange I was expecting. It came out pipping hot in a small Korean stone bowl (commonly use for Bibimbap or Sundubu Jjigae). It was so hot that I couldn't taste the curry flavor much but rather the temperature of the meal. I burned the roof of my mouth even after letting it cool abit and blowing on it as I eat. I mixed my udon noodles in the curry as I've been craving curry noodles. An odd choice but I didn't want rice then. I should had stick with the rice as paired better than the udon noodles. Still yummy tho, and I finished my entire bowl. Overall a wonderful meal regardless. I think I put Saigon Bangkok on a pedestal as it's been 10yrs since I last visited them. Or maybe it's just this location. Or maybe they did change with new chefs or style. We originally wanted to go to our usual Saigon Bangkok on Transit Road which was a bit further out from where we stayed. 4 stars given because I was concerned about the 50% occupancy, the hand washing in between bussing a table to new set up for new customers and the flavors of the meals. I was always concerned about the handwashing even before the pandemic because in the hospitality industry, usually you change gloves or was hands constantly. Or have 1 teammate wipe and another set up so different clean hands touches items.

This place is great. Such a nice quiet spot in Hamburg for some cuisine. Right when me and my friend walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly crew of people whom continued to check in on us and made sure everything was going well for us. Service was great and the music playing was so pleasant. We both got the Thai iced tea and I was surprised as to how good it was. We both ordered pad Thai, my friend is vegetarian and she got tofu and I got chicken. The food came out EXTREMELY fast. I was absolutely shocked when our food was brought out because of how fast it came. Not only was the service and ambience of the place great, but the food was spectacular as well. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone in Buffalo looking for some Thai food!

So why only 4 stars? Strangely this was a simple straightforward dining experience. Which of course is essentially the goal most of us have. We arrived on a Thursday just before 7pm and we're promptly sat in an almost empty dining room. We were a bit surprised since our visit months before on a Wednesday had us grabbing the last table before they went to reservation seating only at 5pm. The server arrived promptly and simply took our drink order. We studied the menu. It is laid out nicely and instead of section after section crammed together each category had its own page. We made our selections and the server brought the drinks & took the order. The appetizers arrived promptly and the Crispy Spring rolls were hot and flavorful. The Fresh Summer roll was indeed fresh and tasty. Shortly thereafter the Mango Curry w/shrimp arrived bubbling like a volcano and the Yellow Curry chicken was steaming hot. So why not 5 stars? Well... there really wasn't anything 5 star about the dining. It was simply a solid good one. While the server was prompt, she basically just took out orders and brought our food and made 1 quick table check and dropped off our check. Very efficient but hardly anything more. The Crispy Spring rolls were hot and tasted good but were pinky thin and there was only 3. Three of anything meant to be shared is not the best choice. If you're wondering how I came to that insight, it came from my father who spent 40+ years in the restaurant business and another 40+ for me. It simply is unnecessary and makes 1 out of 3 either a dibs, a give or a split IMHO. These were to small to split. Likewise the Spring rolls while nice and tasty really were 1 normal sized spring roll, rolled into 2 and split to make 4 pieces. Lastly the curry's, again just good. The presentation was wow, not the flavors. Nothing stood out, we ate it all but agreed we'd give something else a try if we go back. I'm actually sitting here thinking about my rating. And it is one of the first times I'm a bit unhappy to not be able to give a 1/2 star. This wasn't really a 4 but certainly wasn't a 3 star. Give them a try and see what you think.

What's their phone number for takeout? The one on the website and google maps never gets through.?

Our phone number is (716) 202-1388. During busy times since we do not have call waiting we can only accommodate one call at a time. You can try calling back if you can't get through. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Plus, Yelp reviews could be very informative. The restaurant has a casual, low key atmosphere. The interior is a bit worn, but rather clean and tidy. We snuggled into one of the available booths and felt quite comfortable. The ordering process was easy and convenient. You simply write down your order on a slip of paper. Don't forget about anything. We took our time browsing the menu, and no one rushed us, which I really appreciated. The complimentary tea was, as always, a nice, welcoming gesture. We ordered two soups. The large size was actually massive. The 'Seafood Pho' was not bad, but I wouldn't order it again. I enjoyed beef broth, all the greens and veggies. Unfortunately, the selection of protein was rather disappointing. A bunch of tiny shrimp (some of them had a fishy taste), carved squid, surimi and something similar to fish cake were just not enough to be happy about. It should be called 'Frozen Seafood Medley Pho'. The best choice will definitely be to order one of the Beef Pho options. My partner opted for beef noodle soup Bún bò Huế. It was meaty with lots of beef, pork and blood pudding. I think his only complaint was that the soup wasn't spicy enough. What happened was, he didn't specify the spiciness level when ordering and our server simply didn't bother to ask. So it was mild and a little bland. The Egg Meatloaf / Chả Trứng was something new to me. The moist and delicate texture, with its distinct pork and mushroom flavor, was very good. It was a truly inspirational dish and someday I'd like to try making it. You pay at the counter.
