Lychee slush
Aly W.

This is a small but charming restaurant next to a gas station before you turn on main. I tried it with one of my friends on the esy to a screening at Dibson Amherst. You use a QR code to order. I ordered a lychee slush and my son had an oreo cream frappe. The machine that makes them must be slow because it took awhile to get our drinks. Our entrees came out soon after. My son enjoyed his General Tsos, but prefered the takeout from our neighborhood place. My sesame chicken was good if a little overcooked. Rhe restaurant is clean with lovely decor. Service is friendly. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

Hands down the fastest service I have ever experienced. All the food came out in less than 10 minutes. We chose this place cause it was open late and we were not disappointed. The food was perfectly seasoned and so delicious. Highly recommend if you're needing some late night eats!!

Various dim sum dumplings

Came in for dine in so we could try the dim sum selections. Had shrimp and pork dumplings, the juicy pork dumplings, scallion pancake, egg tart. Everything was delicious and came out quickly.

I honestly forgot how good this was place!! I used to come here pretty often when I lived in the area. Ordered the preserved egg congee, chicken with eggplant, and beef chow ho fun. The congee definitely hit the spot but was not nearly as good as the ones I've had in the city. I feel that it was a bit lacking in the preserved egg. The chicken with eggplant was the best dish out of the three! The chicken was juicy and tender and the eggplant wasn't soggy at all. In addition, I felt the sauce was just right and not too salty. I don't eat beef but I did try the noodles and they were great! Overall, I would come back and try other options. Is it located right off of Millersport Highway next to a gas station. The waitress was also pleasant and came around often to make sure we were okay.

Vegetable udon

Ordering through their website is easy and the food was ready in 30 minutes. I got the vegetable udon which was flavorful and a lot of food. I really enjoyed it, and I plan to order here again soon.

I am a Chinese. This restaurant's dishes are authentic Chinese cuisine . They were excellent ! During my first visit, I asked for a recommendation. Owner recommended the Shrimps with Garlic in HK Style. Loved it! Two days later, I visited again. This time owner recommended Sizzling Beef which was delicious ! The restaurant was clean and service was prompt and friendly !!

My son wanted to try some dim sum and he took me to lunch and we went to this new Asian restaurant that he had found on Yelp and the service was great we were seated at a table and a waitress brought over a pot of hot tea and the tea was delicious and also she brought over some noodles and some sauce as an appetizer and that was also good, my son did the ordering and he ordered the pork Siu m mai, spare ribs, l chicken feet, egg custard bun, scallion pancakes, and beef tripe and everything was delicious and it was nice and hot I really enjoyed the different sauces that came on the different dim sum, this was a great experience and my first time going to this restaurant and trying something new. I looked over the extensive menu and I plan on going back and try some of the other food. This is a nice clean quaint restaurant. I really enjoyed trying something new along with the great service. This place is a hidden gem.

It's a small pleasant dining room with traditional Chinese instrumental music playing in the background. I spotted the lineup of fried noodles in their classic red plastic basket up on the counter with duck sauce in plastic ramekins. Ahh memories The lunch menu has the biggest throw back ... prices from decades ago so you will be getting a bargain if you stop in for lunch or take your lunch to go. Service is pleasant but a bit slow (They were dealing with takeout orders I think.) but I was in no rush and the music was calming to the spirit. Their Hot and Sour soup was thick with ingredients, flavorfully pleasant, and served at the right temperature. My Szechuan Chicken has eye appeal and it was served with a hill of rice. It's always good when the vegetables crunch and these did. Their sauce was tasty and my lunch was really good. My fortune cookie reminded me to take moments to find joy and as the music plays I am glad I stopped in because the world seems far away, the food was good, and I am at peace even though I would have loved to get on my feet to wok and roll!! Definitely worth a visit!!

We came here because they offer chickens feet, my absolute favorite dim sum dish. They weren't great, but just having them was a win. The crab rangoon, calamari, and pan fried dumplings were all okay. I do think there are better in the same area. The place is very clean and the atmosphere is very laid back. Service is done by a robot that brings you your food. Very fun and cool. Prices are pretty fair.

Kiddo was impressed that there non-traditional pots of tea offered, so we tried blood orange one. It had very nice citrusy flavors and a gorgeous deep red color. The wait staff is traditional enough that my son was given the teacups when the tea arrived: The younger generation serves their elders. Then the dim sum arrived. The cucumber salad had a moderate amount of garlic and vinegar, and a satisfying crunch...but lacked the red chiles usually found in the dish. The crystal shrimp and shrimp with pea shoots were a little over steamed: They were almost gelatinous in the basket. The flavor was a little bland, but there was a bit of sesame oil in both. No dipping sauce? This is hard to overlook, the lack of condiments on the table. The BBQ pork buns were less savory than expected in the center, and overly sweet in the dough. The sesame balls were fantastic. Crunchy, sweet, satisfying. Then the Lanzhou noodles arrived. They looked beautiful, but lacked all the chilies that make this dish exciting. The broth without it was gorgeous: Star anise and fennel were particularly prominent. I wanted to ask for the chile oil, but the kiddo declined...they can still die of embarrassment at that age! Gansu Province, where Lanzhou is located, is famous for their spicy food. Next time, I'm ordering the dish in Mandarin, and quoting Chairman Mao: " The hotter the pepper, the more revolutionary." ( But I shouldn't have to do a performance to get this done right).

We came for the dim sum on a Saturday afternoon. It was outstanding…read more The place was packed, in booths and at tables, with Asian families enjoying traditional dishes like congee with roasted duck, and multiple types of noodle dishes and dumplings (bao). Although the dim sum menu is a single page, there are enough different kinds of foods here that even the pickiest of eaters will find something to satisfy them. Vegetarians and vegans will be happy here too. I was really pleased to see that hot and cold soy milks are offered: This restaurant caters to the Asian community, many of whom are lactose-intolerant. The bao are $5.50 - $6.50 for a steamer basket of 3-5 items; it's listed on the menu how many bao to expect, in case you're dining with a crowd. (And you really should!) The congee is listed as "small bowls" for $7.50, but I think at least 3-4 cups of soup fits there. It's easily shared. The stuffed eggplant I ate in Nanjing had ground pork, garlic scapes, and ginger. The ones served here are stuffed with an enormous sweet shrimp in each piece of tender eggplant: Better than I remember. The sesame balls were a little different too: I remember a pale, sweet paste inside a crispy deep-fried ball covered in sesame seeds. Here, the inner paste was sweet and black, but the flavor was the same. So was the joy in eating them. The pork with black bean sauce was so tender and delicious! We made that plate disappear! The har gow/crystal shrimp were perfect. We plan to return soon to try their spicy beef noodles ($13.95) and custard tarts - the recipe for which the Portuguese Jesuits brought to Macao in the 16th century. The atmosphere of the Golden Duck is very relaxed: A dim sum meal is usually a time to drink a little tea, eat a little food, and get caught up with family or friends. There's a full bar if you're celebrating; there's also a private banquet room. The regular menu is also available during the dim sum hours, as is a Mongolian buffet. The regular menu has Peking duck, available with some notice. My favorite celebration meal! Parking is in a strip mall lot, well off the street.

Gin Gin might be my new favorite Chinese restaurant in Buffalo! Even as someone who grew up working…read morein Chinese restaurants, Gin Gin has impressed me. First impression, it's an older restaurant, the interior is nothing fancy, but older, which might give the wrong impression but I'm not one to quickly judge until I get my food. So after we sat down, we were given the menu. All Chinese restaurants have a big menu with countless options to choose from, but Gin Gin has by far the largest menu I've ever seen, adding onto the dishes not on the actual menu but posted on the walls. The cool thing is that they serve not just your typical American Chinese food but also some authentic Chinese dishes. So it took me quite some time to decide what to order. I even had to ask the boss for recommendations. She recommended me the Curry Chicken (Chop). Which was unlike the Curry Chicken my family's restaurant used to make or any other restaurant I've been to. The use bone in chicken wing pieces instead of the typical chicken breast/thigh meat. While I do prefer it the typical way, I was down to try something new. The Egg Drop Soup was also great, and it came with a side of Crispy Noodles, which you can add into the soup. But I like dipping it in duck sauce like chips and salsa. The Egg Drop Soup was very flavorful and I believe they use chicken broth/stock instead of just water, which means higher quality! The Beef w Garlic Sauce is something I always love to get when I go to Chinese restaurants, and they made it beautifully. It was full of flavor and better than most Beef w Garlic Sauce I've had. The portions were also great! We left all full and satisfied. Will definitely be back to try other stuff next time!

read more
