Stopped here on my way home from work today. Service was great. Ordered off the menu and had my food in less than 10 minutes. We had moo goo gai pan, pad thai, wonton soup and steamed dumplings. Wonton soup tastes the same almost everywhere.... salty broth and chunky, thick wontons. The crunchy noodles for the soup were fresh. The pad thai was surprisingly good for takeout (not at a thai place)... good flavor, fresh bean sprouts and a lime to squeeze on top. Their dumplings were also good... pretty standard taste like at most Chinese places. The moo goo gai pan was very fresh and had tender chicken with lots of veggies. I ordered here for the first time because I couldn't find my go to. The fried rice and wonton soup were good, tasted like every other place, but the sweet and sour chicken was awful. It literally had tiny pieces of hard chicken encased in the usual batter. On top of that, I was charged 56.00 for two quarts of won ton soup, the chicken (if you want to call it that) and the fried rice. Was delivered by door dash. I have never ever been charged this much for anything I've ordered through anyone, regardless of what it was. I will never go there again! From now on, I'm reading reviews and picking up. The food was...adequate. It was hot and was delivered promptly. We ordered two combination plates: Sweet and Sour Chicken and Pepper Steak. They come with an egg roll and vegetable fried rice. Everything looked very good. Some positives: the vegetables were crisp, they provided lots of sauces, and their red sweet and sour sauce tasted strongly of pineapple (not a positive to my partner, who doesn't really like pineapple) Negatives: The food was very oily and bland. The rice served with the combo plates is vegetarian, which is ok, but it was bland and a bit undercooked. It was also full of onions. Lastly, their egg rolls are really small. I love this place and when I am traveling, I make stop for excellent Chinese takeout. The staff is always friendly and the food is always hot and delicious. Do not go here! I love a cheap Chinese food but this is awful excuse for it. We have tried multiple dishes--different meats and sauces--and none of them were real meat. The attached picture is supposedly chicken from cashew chicken. It was rubbery and looked more like imitation scallops than any sort of real meat. Will never return. read more

I'm so excited to find a place near Lancaster that I like for Chinese food! Finally how did I miss this one? Fresh veggies, more then enough sauce, chicken is actually chicken! So as you can see from the pictures for $3.49 between 11-3 everyday you get a huge plate of very good Chinese food. The kitchen is open so you see asian people cooking up your meal right there. I am a big guy and don't like going places I won't be full afterward from I am filled up by this place. Inside is nothing fancy, just 2 rows of basic tables and chairs to sit and eat your delicious, filling, cheap food at. Their is however a big fish tank with the biggest fish I have seen swimming around, sometimes they even put on a show and fight :) ! If I had to guess I would say it is a local favorite, there are people constantly coming and getting pick up. Whenever I go with my friend who works near by he always sees co-workers. Live just around the corner from China One Express and after stopping at the Tops to pick up some groceries was stuck for something to do for lunch. Peeked inside the window and noticed there was some seating and it wasn't too busy so figured I would grab some lunch and have a seat. The young man that took my order was pleasant enough, I ordered the Sesame Chicken Lunch special with Hot and Sour soup and with a drink it came to less than $8...bargain. The food came out less than 10 minutes later and I started to dig in, very tasty soup, and both hot AND sour :) Then went to town on the Sesame Chicken and the amount of food they gave you was just right for lunch, surprisingly it was heavier on the Chicken than the Rice etc but it all tasted good and freshly made, I'll be definitely eating here again. read more

I am the least adventurous Chinese food person you'll ever meet. Up until a few years ago, I'd only ever had Won Ton soup. That said, when I order Chinese takeout (regardless of the place), I order General Tso's Chicken and Pepper Steak. China One is an unassuming little storefront in a grocery store plaza with a gigantic fish in a gigantic tank, a very friendly staff and a few tables where I rarely see anyone sitting down to eat. Their General Tso's Chicken is fantastic and the pepper steak is fantastic. They have a lunch platter special from 11-3 for all of their menu items with slightly smaller portions (which are still plenty filling) for $3.99. For less than the cost of a horrible fast food combo, you can get two menu items and not have to eat for the rest of the day. I ordered (you guessed it) General Tso's Chicken and their Pepper Steak. Both sauces are hearty, flavorful and have just a little bit of zip to them. The meat portions for each dish take up half of the container and the rice is on point. In the last two years, I don't think I've ever had to wait more than ten minutes from the time that I order to the time I pick up my food. I always tip when I pick up because the staff is always polite and friendly. Chinese takeout is not a rarity in Buffalo, but consistency is. China One has got it on lockdown whether it's during their busy lunch rush, their busy dinner rush or at the odd hours of the night when you have a hankering for General Tso's Chicken. They buck the stereotype about being hungry two hours later. I had both items for lunch and will most likely not eat again until lunchtime tomorrow. I will miss their cuisine and their service in the summer when I work in the Southtowns because nobody out there holds a candle to them. read more

Whenever I call for delivery they say they do not deliver at that time and are extremely rude(Friday,Saturday,Sunday and other days). Save your money, go someplace else.
