We made a stop here to grab a quick bite for dinner. I've had a lunch special before which was most likely Kung pow chicken. I decided this time to try their chicken pad thai. Didnt even realize it was on the menu. I was actually pleasantly surprised how good it was. It had the right amount of heat & nice tender chicken but could have used a few more peanuts. The portion was huge & more than enough for 2 meals. 2025 -44 read more

China One Express - Chicken pad thai - Chinese Near Me - Lancaster, New York

Typical Chinese food.. nothing stood out as amazing. But really solid. I didn't care for the gravy that came with the egg foo young. It was more of a soy sauce flavor than brown gravy. read more

Short and sweet... I call ahead and pick up my order here, the staff is nice, food is quick, always flavorful and I really enjoy their egg rolls. Of all the spots in Depew/Lancaster, this is my fav. I would not stop here to eat inside but there are a couple tables, this is mostly a take-out spot. read more

Food was good and there was a decent portion for the price. I ordered General Tso's Chicken. It wasn't as spicy as I would have liked it, so next time I'll have to ask them to make it spicier. read more

China One Express - General Tso's Chicken. - Chinese Near Me - Lancaster, New York

This is my Chinese take out go to. If you're looking for the typical Chinese restaurant with the paper menu with the standard items on it, this is the one. There is a good variety of vegetables that they use (not using solely broccoli). They're usually busy but always quick with fulfilling orders, usually taking anywhere from 20-40 minutes. The flavors are also good. (I've had lo mein or white rice at other places that has tasted like dirty dish water however China One does not replicate this) read more

Best Chinese food in Buffalo. I've been ordering here for years and the food is spectacular.

I don't usually eat a lot of Chinese food, but when the urge strikes, this is where I stop. It's a small town restaurant, locally owned and the food is consistently good. read more

Stopped here on my way home from work today. Service was great. Ordered off the menu and had my food in less than 10 minutes. We had moo goo gai pan, pad thai, wonton soup and steamed dumplings. Wonton soup tastes the same almost everywhere.... salty broth and chunky, thick wontons. The crunchy noodles for the soup were fresh. The pad thai was surprisingly good for takeout (not at a thai place)... good flavor, fresh bean sprouts and a lime to squeeze on top. Their dumplings were also good... pretty standard taste like at most Chinese places. The moo goo gai pan was very fresh and had tender chicken with lots of veggies. Nothing was overly greasy tasting at all. Definitely will go back when I need a Chinese food fix. read more

I ordered here for the first time because I couldn't find my go to. The fried rice and wonton soup were good, tasted like every other place, but the sweet and sour chicken was awful. It literally had tiny pieces of hard chicken encased in the usual batter. On top of that, I was charged 56.00 for two quarts of won ton soup, the chicken (if you want to call it that) and the fried rice. Was delivered by door dash. I have never ever been charged this much for anything I've ordered through anyone, regardless of what it was. I will never go there again! From now on, I'm reading reviews and picking up. These delivery services have gotten my last dime. They get one star from me, and I dislike giving that even. read more

Their food was really good! Their sauces and taste was better than other places I've had.

China One Express offers consistent high quality and have been enjoying their many options for many years. I especially love their General Tso's chicken and their shrimp egg rolls. Some places use far too much cabbage in their rolls, but China One Express has a great balance. read more

Stopped in for the first time. Didn't call ahead. Got fried rice and egg rolls. They were ready in 5 minutes or less. Someone that ordered after me and had a more complex order had theirs ready as I was pulling out of my parking spot a couple minutes after I got my food. I call that speedy service. Food was good, egg rolls were slightly smaller than some places but tasted good. I'd get them again The fried rice was pretty standard, I'd get it again too. read more

China One Express - Sesame chicken - Chinese Near Me - Lancaster, New York

The food was...adequate. It was hot and was delivered promptly. We ordered two combination plates: Sweet and Sour Chicken and Pepper Steak. They come with an egg roll and vegetable fried rice. Everything looked very good. Some positives: the vegetables were crisp, they provided lots of sauces, and their red sweet and sour sauce tasted strongly of pineapple (not a positive to my partner, who doesn't really like pineapple) Negatives: The food was very oily and bland. The rice served with the combo plates is vegetarian, which is ok, but it was bland and a bit undercooked. It was also full of onions. Lastly, their egg rolls are really small. Like, half the size of a regular egg roll. The cabbage in them was really strong smelling, too. A very underwhelming dinner, sadly. read more

**update- food was not worth it, asked for sauce on the side for shrimp with broccoli, came SOAKED in sauce, crab ragoons were cold and tasted like they were expired. Steamed pork dumplings were sweet, didn't even know that was possible. If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered at 6:10 and said delivery would be 30 minutes, now delivery isn't coming till 7:15-7:30. The food better be worth it read more

China One Express has a huge fish tank set up when you walk in and it is definitely eye catching! The egg roll, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable fried rice, and lo mein are my go to. The lunch and dinner specials are reasonably priced, and they always give extra fortune cookies. China one is located on Transit Road, but is hidden in the Tops plaza, but if you are looking for a quick bite, that will give you plenty of food for another meal, this is the place to be. read more

I love this place and when I am traveling, I make stop for excellent Chinese takeout. The staff is always friendly and the food is always hot and delicious. I highly recommend sesame chicken and cashew chicken. Both dishes are tops in my book. The prices are ridiculously reasonable and the restaurant is clean every time I've gone in. read more

Fast, friendly service with a smile, great food...and their fish tank rocks too! BEST Chinese food in the Lancaster-Depew area, hands down. Ordered spring rolls, chow mein, lo mein and it was DE-lish. Half of my family is vegetarian and their plenty of options for them as well! read more

I ordered today and I was disappointed in the taste of the food. Seeing this location was busy I felt it had no flavor or taste. I'm also disappointed about the small egg roll. Service was great however read more

China One is consistently good! Food is hot, veggies are fresh, tasty and crunch. We occasionally get a shrimp and mixed vegetable dish that has ALOT of large shrimp, sometimes the shrimp are a bit overcooked, but not bad by any means. China One is a typical weekly stop. It's no longer 10 minutes though...covid has kept them so busy its now about a 30 minute pick up timeframe. (I'm OK with that) read more

Do not go here! I love a cheap Chinese food but this is awful excuse for it. We have tried multiple dishes--different meats and sauces--and none of them were real meat. The attached picture is supposedly chicken from cashew chicken. It was rubbery and looked more like imitation scallops than any sort of real meat. Will never return. read more

Pepper Steak It was to die for!!! The steak was so tender and tasty. We also had wonton soup which was also delicious. The pork egg rolls were also very good. We will definitely order again!!! read more

Excellent food!! My order was ready sooner than expected. The best Chinese take out in the area.

I'm so excited to find a place near Lancaster that I like for Chinese food! Finally how did I miss this one? Fresh veggies, more then enough sauce, chicken is actually chicken! Rice is great...spicy when they say it's spicy, great experience thank u China one express! Oh and the soups tasted fresh and not left over from last week as well! I feel that places like United China or main moon may possibly cook the food in bulk and serve over a few days time period (or more) at least that's how it tastes but China one is the opposite, great food here! read more

Fast and tasty Asian cuisine. The place to go for takeout in Lancaster. They have a dining room, but most people buy and go. The thing I like the least is the cleanliness. The light switches, etc are covered with Asian cooking. I've never if any health problems, but it sure can't be helping the sales read more

I fill like this is a hidden lunch time gem, so much so that I had to enter this business on yelp. So as you can see from the pictures for $3.49 between 11-3 everyday you get a huge plate of very good Chinese food. The kitchen is open so you see asian people cooking up your meal right there. I am a big guy and don't like going places I won't be full afterward from I am filled up by this place. Inside is nothing fancy, just 2 rows of basic tables and chairs to sit and eat your delicious, filling, cheap food at. Their is however a big fish tank with the biggest fish I have seen swimming around, sometimes they even put on a show and fight :) ! If I had to guess I would say it is a local favorite, there are people constantly coming and getting pick up. Whenever I go with my friend who works near by he always sees co-workers. I don't know how they stay in business with good food cheaper then you could cook at home, but let that be their problem and your delight! read more

The most amazingly quick delivery and they have to deal with several street lights to get through. The food is always amazingly hot, the drivers are kind and respectful unlike another local place to the south. And dang, the food is tasty. Sure, they don't have the delivery hours that some do to deal with a town that has a 4AM cut off at the bars, but I wouldn't trade them for any other Chinese food if it were my choice and not my slightly inebriated Mrs. Seriously, I've never been disappointed. read more

I gotta preface this review by saying I don't particularly like Chinese food, but my husband loves it so sometimes you gotta compromise. So it's saying something that finished up about two plates of pork fried rice and sweet and sour chicken! Some of the best Chinese food I've ever had, and I would definitely order from there again! read more

Live just around the corner from China One Express and after stopping at the Tops to pick up some groceries was stuck for something to do for lunch. Peeked inside the window and noticed there was some seating and it wasn't too busy so figured I would grab some lunch and have a seat. The young man that took my order was pleasant enough, I ordered the Sesame Chicken Lunch special with Hot and Sour soup and with a drink it came to less than $8...bargain. The food came out less than 10 minutes later and I started to dig in, very tasty soup, and both hot AND sour :) Then went to town on the Sesame Chicken and the amount of food they gave you was just right for lunch, surprisingly it was heavier on the Chicken than the Rice etc but it all tasted good and freshly made, I'll be definitely eating here again. read more

Good portions, great flavor! Never disappointed when we order from here. The sesame chicken is always crispy with big chunks of chicken. The sweet and sour sauce is amazing. There's a reason why this place is always so busy! read more

Nothing horrible here, it's just that there are other Chinese options very close by that are much, MUCH better

Good food, plain atmosphere. Not bad for the price and they're very quick and friendly with your order.

Beef Chow Mein. Possibly the worst attempt at dish I have ever seen! They give you chow mein crackers essentially and maybe 5 little pieces of beef. I will never return, I recommend you don't as well. read more

Awful general tasos chicken. Was happy to see that they offer variable spice levels via DoorDash and ordered extra hot, I like it spicy, tasted like they poured Frank's hot sauce on top of what they called chicken which was mainly a bunch of fried breading. Maybe a bad night but this experience left nothing to be desired for. Much better Chinese around won't rush back read more

Honestly.. the only thing I liked about my entire order of wonton soup, sweet and sour chicken, egg roll and pork ribs.. was the soup. The other food was bland or way to sweet. Definitely felt reheated. I understand it may be busy or something because of everything but this food was terrible not going to return thank you though. read more

Never had a bad experience yet here. Friendly and fast and is very reasonable in price. To be honest I'm afraid to ever go anywhere else as it usually ends up being a less than satisfactory experience. We usually get sesame chicken, crab raging and general tso chicken. read more

I am the least adventurous Chinese food person you'll ever meet. Up until a few years ago, I'd only ever had Won Ton soup. That said, when I order Chinese takeout (regardless of the place), I order General Tso's Chicken and Pepper Steak. China One is an unassuming little storefront in a grocery store plaza with a gigantic fish in a gigantic tank, a very friendly staff and a few tables where I rarely see anyone sitting down to eat. Their General Tso's Chicken is fantastic and the pepper steak is fantastic. They have a lunch platter special from 11-3 for all of their menu items with slightly smaller portions (which are still plenty filling) for $3.99. For less than the cost of a horrible fast food combo, you can get two menu items and not have to eat for the rest of the day. I ordered (you guessed it) General Tso's Chicken and their Pepper Steak. Both sauces are hearty, flavorful and have just a little bit of zip to them. The meat portions for each dish take up half of the container and the rice is on point. In the last two years, I don't think I've ever had to wait more than ten minutes from the time that I order to the time I pick up my food. I always tip when I pick up because the staff is always polite and friendly. Chinese takeout is not a rarity in Buffalo, but consistency is. China One has got it on lockdown whether it's during their busy lunch rush, their busy dinner rush or at the odd hours of the night when you have a hankering for General Tso's Chicken. They buck the stereotype about being hungry two hours later. I had both items for lunch and will most likely not eat again until lunchtime tomorrow. I will miss their cuisine and their service in the summer when I work in the Southtowns because nobody out there holds a candle to them. read more
