We saw a video about this place on Step Out Buffalo, and decided that we needed to go while we were in town. It's definitely a fun restaurant! Their specialty is seafood and they are known for lobster rolls. The restaurant is in what looks like an old house, so we did drive right by. The parking lot was packed when we arrived, and for pretty good reason! Highly recommend making a reservation - the parking lot was full and so was the dining room. We had a reservation for 6:30 on a Saturday and were seated right away. Obviously, we were getting seafood. The menu is moderately sized, with some raw but mostly cooked options. Steamed are New England style, plain with butter. I chose steamed crab legs. They were priced fair, and I thought the meat was good quality! it was 6 legs in the serving, with 2 sides, so a generous portion. I appreciated the kitchen shears that they provided, it's how we do it at home! My date had surf and turf, and had no complaints, but did claim to be "stuffed". We also had tiramisu, which was delicious! The vibe is pretty laid back for a seafood restaurant, and there were big groups having a good time. read more

The only thing that would've made this a full five-star experience for me is a tea candle butter warmer. Having warm butter throughout the meal really elevates crab legs, and that small touch would've taken everything to the next level. The place itself isn't fancy, but that's completely okay. This is the second time at 2-Forks but they either changed the chef, menu or both as the food was night and day different. Previously it seemed to be focused on fried options where now it's shifted to fresh seafood and the quality shows. Maybe that's why the rating is so low. Ordered the steamed clams as appetizer, followed by lobster and crab leg entrees and tiramisu for dessert. I could not imagine the amount of food you get for the price. Clams were a little over $1/each, 2 lobsters (w/sides) for $40 and the 6-king crabs legs (w/sides) was $50 and all of it was what you would expect from a more higher end establishment (think more Remington tavern and less Storming Crab). It's the only time I've ordered shell fish where I've had to get a to-go box. The dessert choices were also pretty exceptional, perhaps too many with about 20 different options, and the tiramisu tasted home made. Honestly, the only knock on the place is that the decor feels a little dated and the patio where we sat could use a fresh coat of paint and some weed pulling but I almost hope they leave it how it is to avoid them raising prices. If you are looking for some great seafood around Buffalo at a reasonable price, this should be right there at the top of the list read more

I'm a bit late in posting my recent reviews. We were in at the restaurant a little over a week ago. It was 7/2... me, my fiance, and his mom. She had heard great things and loves seafood so she wanted to check it out. The website sounds great, the yelp reviews and photos sent me in a bit hesitant. Upon arrival, Mom was glad there was a ramp since the stairs outside are a bit steep. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Unfortunately inside there were almost as many steps to get back down to the seating area. There is a back door of sorts that goes out to the patio that she could've used but we didn't know. It wasn't busy at all. There is a good amount of seating and we were one of just a handful of parties there. It took a while before the waitress came over to take a drink order. Mom ordered the clam chowder, and I had the corn and shrimp chowder that came with my platter. The corn chowder was delicious. I mean, one of the best soups I've had ever. Mom preferred it to her clam chowder. For our meals, she had the fish fry, I had the fisherman's platter and my fiance had the shrimp surf and turf. Mom felt the fish fry was very greasy, and she was not a fan of the cole slaw. I agreed when I tried it, but cole slaw is one of those "to each their own foods." My fisherman's platter had a good amount of food. Don't forget it included my soup. Then it had fried shrimp, calamari, cod, crab cake and fries. I'm not a calamari person, but you can't substitute it out, so I have no feedback there. The cod and shrimp were both over fried. The crab cake was good but the menu says crabcakeS and there was one. It seemed like a frozen, not fresh or homemade cake. But it was good. The meal wasn't horrible but it left something to be desired. The sidewinder fries are fabulous though. The surf and turf meal was mostly a win. Steak was cooked well, potatoes and veggies were good. Shrimp was also overcooked. It came with 3 pieces of asparagus which isn't a lot and one looked chewed up. The piece of bread that was included was stale and no butter. The service was very slow I had a pick up order that was 20min late and the place looked very disorganized with the staff and customers coming in. This is a hidden gem where you can still get a good meal at a reasonable cost. And its real lobster! There is such a variety of seafood choices on the menu, combinations of steak, lobster, crab legs, crab cakes, in a variety of mediums - lobster ravioli or lobster roll sandwich, even a delicious raspberry salad that you can add any protein, including lobster to. There is something for everyone. I decided on the lobster with 6 oz sirloin. The sirloin was well seasoned and seared, medium rare pink in the middle. Te lobster was perfectly cooked and taken apart by my server in front of me in a matter of seconds with the meat gently placed on the plate. Note - if you like the lobster insides - the roe - or the little legs, make sure you tell your server to leave it or they may take it away with the shells. This combination was filling and I ended up with a take home container. I also recommend the Lemon Drop Martini with the sugar rim, it was perfect. They also have a unique combination of cocktails both refreshing and fun. The place is large and great for large groups. It looks like a rustic farmhouse inside and out which can be charming and a bit dated. But the food is worth it. BTW try the desserts, the variety of cheesecakes are great, most made on site. I had the Italian lemon cake with the cream filling which was light and refreshing. The total cost with dessert was under $60 without gratuity. For lobster and steak, alcohol and dessert I think in today's restaurant experience, that's pretty reasonable. One other mention, service is very good and attentive, the staff is always nice and helpful. Plus the fact they can take apart a lobster in seconds, and take care of the presentation as well at the table is a nice plus. And if you want to dine alone, they do serve at the bar and in the bar area there are high top tables. read more

There's nothing better than a nice hot dish of Shrimp Scampi on a week night that I didn't have to cook! It was delicious, it wasn't overly garlicky and had a nice lemon taste. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous, then when you add a salad and a dessert with coffee- believe me when I say you won't go home hungry . The waitresses were doing a great job and made sure you had what you needed. I have been searching for a great fish fry near me. I decided to try this one. It came to nice and hot. Oh I should mention it was delivered to my home on a snowy cold Friday night. The fries are awesome and I have never seen them done this way. You also get coleslaw which was nothing to write home about. The fish was huge I could not wait to dive in. Celebrating a family member's birthday is what brought us here. They can easily accommodate large parties here. There were 14 of us. Our table was plenty big enough. Our lead server was Madison who did a great job tending to all our needs answering questions and keeping our drinks filled. Quite an accomplishment to be attentive to such a large party. She of course had help who also did a great job keeping up with empty dishes and bringing out our meals. Kudos to our serving team for a Job well done. You come here for seafood. I prefer Alaskan king crab and that's what they offer. The lobster tails were large and cooked just right. The crab was a little over cooked as it was difficult to crack legs open because they weren't crisp but more bendy (best word I could think of). It was still good. I recommend the seafood scampi which is what I had. Scallops, lobster claw meat and shrimp in a lemon garlic wine sauce with linguine. The scallops were huge! The shrimp were large and, a plenty. As was the lobster. I definitely feel you get your money's worth with this entreé. Our picky table of 14 were all happy with their meals. The side of mash potatoes got the most fan fare. The other sides of coleslaw, and potato salad were good as well. The asparagus was crisp and tasty. Order the blue crab cakes! All real crab and more crab than filler. As a former New Englander and have eaten at amazing seafood restaurants along Long Island Sound for decades. Sadly 2 Forks Up wouldn't last a week compared to true New England Seafood restaurants. We had lunch there 1/16/26. A lobster roll and fisherman's platter. The lobster roll was a bit small and lacking seasoning, the sidewinder fries, same problem, no seasoning. The fisherman platter, the fish tasted like frozen fish, the calamari had no seasoning, same thing the fries, no seasoning. The breaded shrimp was over cooked, the crab cake was over cooked. The New England Clam Chowder, is most definitely not traditional New England clowder. To call the restaurant a traditional New England Seafood Restaurant. I'm sorry but it most definitely is not. The entry way is very dark and dingy. The seating area and bar are a plus and open and nice. For being a sea food restaurant in Western New York. It's ok, for what it is. But again it's definitely not a New England style seafood restaurant. read more

I really like this restaurant. I've been three times and I have to say it's been wonderful. The customer service is great and the food is just as amazing. My family loves seafood and we've really enjoyed our meals. Everything always tastes fresh and I don't have any complaints. My parents always get a lobster tail and my husband gets some kind of salmon. There are different options for how the salmon is flavored. He just goes down the list and tries each one. The drinks are delicious. They always have fun and different cocktails and I love trying them. They do no disappoint. They're very creative and fun. I wish I would have remembered the ones I tried. The desserts are great too. I'm always full when I finish my meal but I alway have to get this blueberry cream cake to take home. It is to die for. It's light and decadent. Not too sweet. There's a Bakery in East Aurora that makes a cake like that I have not found anything like it until this restaurant. It's amazing. The decor if the place is a little outdated. I came here with family for a much anticipated first visit. I had such high hopes. First off the atmosphere is odd with no music, and just various talk from other tables to listen to. For a place that would truly hit during the summer if they had an outdoor patio, 2 Forks is truly lacking. We got our food, which was decent for the most part. It took a lot longer than normal to receive the soup was barely lukewarm warm at best. Calamari was good. The lobster roll one of our folks ordered did not appear the advertised "fresh Maine lobster", but rather lobster dainties. I waited until after the meal to reach out to management/ownership via their online inquiry on their direct website, so I didn't have to embarrass our server or my family. I didn't feel the need to post a review about this experience until I received a response from the owner, Al Green. I had stated in my online inquiry, directly on the "2 Forks Up" website, that I knew sometimes on busy days things happen and I described my experience in detail; Who knows, maybe the "lobster" was cut before cooking so it appeared like lobster dainties, maybe they ran out and had to substitute with an inferior item. All I was looking for was an answer before I posted a review, so I had the full story, if I ended up posting any review at all. The response from Al Green was nasty, unprofessional, and egregiously threatening. He threatened my job, threatened to sick his lawyers on me, and insulted me more ways than you can count. All of these threats were over a private inquiry email that the public would never see. All I asked for was a professional response to my inquiry. What I got was a response from an embarrassment to the industry known as Al Green. I don't know why he was so defensive, but I can only imagine it was because some, if not all, of what I had inquired about was true. I had planned on coming back to give this place another try with my family once I heard the explanation from the owner, All Green. Now, I can say I will NEVER be back and will make sure no one else makes the same mistake. Apparently I need to get my own lawyers involved because the psycho owner, Al Green, is throwing threats around over a simple inquiry about a lobster roll. My husband took me here a date. I have been wanting to try this place for a while so I was super excited to go. The decor is a little outdated, you can tell it is a older restaurant and not much has changed. We both the got the 2 lobster meal with Cole slaw and corn for $40 or $42, I can't remember. Which I didn't think was bad for 2 lobster, I thought it was a decent price just wished you were able to pick the sides you wanted. We substituted the Cole slaw for mashed potatoes I definitely would have preferred French fries but that wasn't an option. After we ordered I overhear the waiter tell the other table there was a special where you get the 2 lobster meal and add another for $7. I was pretty disappointed once I hear that because we weren't told the special and I definitely would have done that instead and just ordered one meal of the the lobster for both of us and added a lobster for $7 and a side of fries. We really didn't need 2 lobster tails each, 3 would have been more than enough and I could've gotten a side of French fries apart. Other than that the lobster was very good and I just ate the left over lobster the next day. If I went back I would probably just get a lobster roll. read more

This was our first time at 2 Forks Up. We had a great dining experience and will be returning to try out other menu items. I started with their signature drink which was not on the drink menu but I had heard about. It's a Lobster Bloody Mary with a whole lobster tail hanging on the rim. Went all the way and ordered the Surf and Turf which is better described as Surf, Turf and even more Surf which includes a perfectly cooked and seasoned Rib Eye Steak, 3 Alaskan King Crab Legs and a whole Maine Lobster. To make it easied to eat the seafood they give you heavy duty scissors, a shell cracker and an all important plastic bib. With recent news that Alaskan Seafood is espected to become harder to get for what ever reason, now is the time to visit your favorite seafood restaurant before prices skyrocket and availability becomes a problem. 2 Forks Up would be a good choice to visit sooner than later. read more

This is typically my go-to order here. I've always experience a nice sized sweet lobster and a few healthy sized crab legs. This time, it seems like the crab legs were barely larger than snow crab legs, and the lobster was a little thing.
