I was here for an end of the year/holiday party. There were 16 or 18 in our group. We had a long table set up for the group. Pitchers of beer, a few glasses of wine and a very nice buffet was ordered for our group. On the buffet was a tasty goulash, chicken "fingers" cheese bread, a tossed salad and a platter of carrot and celery sticks with a side of blu cheese dip. The chicken fingers were not labeled as such, but apparently both mild and spicy ones were in the same hot tray. The goulash had mushrooms and bell peppers added to the basic macaroni, hamburger and tomato sauce. It was a nice, hearty meal with friends. read more

Stopped here for lunch last week. If there wasn't a sign out front you might not realize this was a restaurant. We ate in what used to be the garage. It looks like they might sometimes open these doors into the patio. I ordered the chicken souvlaki salad. It was huge and loaded with tasty tender chicken. I did think it was strange that there were carrots but no olives in the salad. Even stranger, no Greek dressing. I really liked the salad but wouldn't have called it a Greek salad. Still in shock that for 4 of us to get wings & fingers it was $50. You can't find prices like that anymore. We ordered an assortment of wings, luncheon fingers (2 fingers, fries, carrots, celery, and blue cheese), and boneless wings. Wings - crispy and saucy as ordered Fingers - hand breaded and HUGE (only ate one of mine), just wish I would have ordered it with extra sauce, because it was a bit dry Boneless Wings - Basically mini chicken fingers I liked that you could "char" your wings or fingers for no extra charge. It was also great that the had decently priced combos that included the fries, celery/carrots, and blue cheese. FYI - wings and fingers come with the homemade blue cheese and it's delicious. We tried this place after hearing they had the best chicken fingers. We went in a Saturday afternoon, the bar area was packed! There was plenty of seating for the dining area as we were in between lunch and dinner time. Our server told us to sit anywhere we wanted. She took our drink and food order. The wait for food was a tad long, but not horrible. I got the four piece chicken fingers with fries and my daughter got a cheeseburger with fries. Our food arrived nice and hot! The fingers are HUGE! Perfectly done and sauced. Their blue cheese is good too! And the fries are soooo good! My daughter says her cheeseburger was perfectly cooked too. Food was excellent! Never actually have eaten in the restaurant but usually pick up food. The only downside is because it's so busy even when you call for a time you usually get stuck waiting. The longest I had to wait was about 25 minutes even after I called hours in advance. I will say the bartender apologized profusely and offered us a free drink. My in-laws love this place but the service is very slow. The menu is very small. They don't give you au jus with the beef on weck, the hot wings aren't even medium. The Audubon north is a local bar in the Amherst area. I have been there numerous times and their fingers, fries and homeade blue cheese are one of my favorites in the town! The prices are reasonable and staff have always been nice when I've gone. I usually just do takeout, but I have eaten in before and it's a trypical bar vibe with ample seating around. Theres also a parking lot with good parking. I haven't had the wings in a while, but they used to be good also. You can also get the fingers or wings on the pit. I'd say Audubon North is a bar with food, not a bar restaurant, but you could still bring kids. When you walk in it looks kind of small but there is a whole room down the stairs on the right. This is where my family sat. Service was friendly, but it took a long time to get our food. At least it was very tasty and a good portion size since we had to wait a bit. The chicken fingers were cooked just right and the bbq sauce was not too sweet, which I prefer. The pasta salad was nice and garlicky. If i visit again, I would try the fries since they are hand cut. The condiments on the table were dusty, which was a bit of a turn off to me... They really need to be cleaned. Hopefully they will be if I make another visit. read more

This place is a hidden gem! The chicken fingers are some of the best you can get around here and the menu is extremely straightforward reasonable. The hand cut fries and homemade blue cheese are also to die for. I also like how you can get a combo of chicken fingers and beef on weck because I am indecisive. Audubon North was recommended to me by a friend who touted their chicken fingers as the best in Buffalo. It's a nice dive bar with a good sized dining area. You seat yourself and are quickly tended to by friendly wait staff. I put in my order for an iced tea and a single order of fingers (4 pieces). And so began a game of 'how can I distract myself from my hunger?'. Luckily I wasn't flying solo today and was able to make conversation with some friends. The dining area was a bit loud but what can you expect with so many patrons? When the food arrived, you could immediately tell these are not your average chicken fingers. These homemade chicken fingers are essentially full chicken breasts that are breaded, fried, and sauced. The coating was nice and thin. It absorbed the sauce well and stayed crunchy. The chicken was juicy and tender, cooked to perfection. The fries are classic standard cut fries, fried well. I'm glad I was as hungry as I was or I may not have finished the whole plate. How could a place be a destination for something as simple as a chicken finger? I too asked that question when this dive bar was introduced to me by a friend as the home of the greatest chicken fingers known to mankind. My skepticism was quickly swept aside as soon as an order of four enormous, perfectly sauced and breaded fingers arrived in front of me. These, by no means, are your standard chicken fingers. The chicken is of a high quality, the breading is unbelievably satisfying, and well, they just hit different. I have been to this establishment several times now. I typically order the fingers done medium, as they are done pretty hot. I have also tried the char-bar-b-q fingers which are just as delicious. Yes, this place offers more than chicken fingers, but the fingers are to die for (hopefully not literally, though they're certainly not a health food!) The prices are quite reasonable dive bar prices as well. They offer a fingers and pitcher combo which is a great way to save a few dollars with a friend as it includes two orders of food. I could totally see this place becoming a trendy under-the-radar dive for the fingers just as Bar Bill did many years ago and has now become an elite wing destination. Cute place, I like you can walk in and sit under the canopy like and it's open to an outdoor patio. After reading reviews, I ordered the chicken fingers, I expected "chicken fingers" but they were chicken cutlets. I asked with the BBQ sauce, very good but a little too much for me, next time I would ask for the sauce on the side and will only dip the chicken finger. My husband had the fish fry and was also very happy with his food. Our waitress, the only one there, was terrific cannot believe how she handled all the customers and was nice. The Audubon North. This is one of the few places left that have a reasonably priced menu. Most of the food is made from scratch. The sandwich rolls, French Fries, Chicken fingers, Chili, Soups, all made from scratch. Hand formed burgers, chicken sandwiches where the chicken hangs over the entire bun. These are all hard to find now in any restaurant. Please give this place a try if you have not been there in a while. read more

Although their chicken fingers and fries are AMAZING (their blue cheese is pretty good too, pretty sure it's home made) I can't give it a better rating, because it always takes forever to get food if you come at night. I tried calling at 8:30pm last night (a Friday) and line was busy consecutively for 15 minutes, so I went there to order my to-go order. I waited 50 minutes for a single order of fingers and fries. The main issue is that their kitchen is just not Big enough. They need more fryers. It's also a dive. The inside of the place is very dirty. I think this is a place regulars come to drink, and you get looked at my the bar customers like "what are you doing here" when you come in to sit down and wait for your take out order. I never really feel welcome there, but I do love the chicken fingers. Also, one time we went here to dine in and it took a super long time so they gave us some drink chips to use next time so that was cool. read more
