Ambiance is your typical neighborhood bar but the fish fry is always Amazing. Someday I'll have to actually try something else! Service is friendly and efficient- same girls have worked here for years! If I'm craving fish fry this is where I have to go so I'm not disappointed!

I can't put it any other way Very Best in WNY hands down!!! Alway fresh, flaky, crispy batter and awesomely delicious!! Home made fresh salads too! I challenge anyone that thinks a place on Clinton street starting with a W---chec to come try the best!!

This might be my favorite fish fry spot of the season! We called in an order for some fish fries and were very happy with what we got! Let's start off with the fish. It wad a great crunchy outside and was cooked perfectly. It was also a great size too which meant they gave us the order in a small pizza box. Now let's talk about the sides. SO MANY SIDES. Potato salad, mac salad, coleslaw, rye bread, and fries! And I have to say, they were all delicious! It was so much food and I was so happily stuffed after this. This is such a great spot. It feels like an old hometown bar that I used to live next to as a kid so it felt very familiar when I walked in. The staff were all super friendly and I can't wait to go back for more here.

This was our first time dining in at the Bellevue and it did not disappoint. We got there a little after 5PM and waited about 45 minutes to be seated. That was expected as it was a Friday during Lent in WNY. Seated in the "red" room and had planty of elbow room, was not overly loud. The server was very attentive. Had the beer battered fish fry and the batter was a golden brown and very light and crispy! Had a choice between American or German potato salad. All the sides were delicious and my fiance had the broiled fish which was tender and moist! Would totally recommend for the fish dinners!

With fast and friendly service I enjoyed the Friday Fish Fry, it was so delicious and huge, it came with fries, macaroni salad, potato salad ,coleslaw and rye bread. They also serve chicken fingers, burgers, Beef on weck, spaghetti and fettuccine.

Fish fry with a few bites taken off already.

I came back to Bellevue during lent on a Friday. You can expect a wait on a normal Friday but during lent double that wait. We arrived at 4:30 and had to wait an hour, exactly the time the host gave us, where we waited in the packed bar had drinks and chatted. After ordering the wait for our food was longer than most restaurants, but for me the quality of the food is worth the wait. On this visit I wanted to avoid fried foods so I got the Chicken Cesar Salad and it did not disappoint. It was an enormous plate full of crisp green romaine, a very large chicken breast that was perfectly grilled, generous amount of Parmesan cheese and Cesar dressing on the side. I stuffed myself full and still had enough leftovers for another meal the next day. The servers were very friendly and accommodating and I always make sure to say hi to my favorite waitress. If your going here on a Friday be prepared for a wait, Lenten time or not.

Excellent fish fry. We had broiled fish (lemon pepper, cajun) and it was delicious. Side salads were excellent as well.

Solid fish fry. Potato salad needs some work before it gets my 5. Would recommend either the beer batter or panko haddock.

The manti stood out more for its comfort than complexity, tender dumplings, yogurt, and a clean garlic-forward profile that felt authentic, even if slightly muted on spice. The ribeye steak medallions were cooked accurately and had good texture, but they were less memorable compared to the rest of the menu. In contrast, the mixed grill platter was the strongest showing of the night, offering variety and consistent execution across different meats, which is not easy to do well. Everything was flavorful without feeling overworked. The mixed meat pide was satisfying and hearty, though on the richer side. It's filling and best approached as a shared dish rather than an add-on. Turkish tea was straightforward and comforting, doing exactly what it should after a heavy meal. Overall, Sofra delivers a traditional, well-executed Turkish dinner with generous portions and a focus on consistency rather than reinvention. Best enjoyed family-style, pacing the meal thoughtfully to fully appreciate the depth of the menu without fatigue.

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

I'd start with the atmosphere and overall first impression. The interior isn't as bright and inviting as the one on Maple Road. It's still the Water Lily Cafe, just under a different banner. This place needs to be refreshed. Another downside is that the complimentary dumplings advertised on Yelp are only for those who leave a five-star review. Really?! :) In my opinion, this fact takes one star away instantly. So we already got The Bad and The Ugly ;). The Good was the most important, the food. We really enjoyed our dishes. My partner's 'Spice Lemongrass Beef Noodle Soup' was very tasty. It wasn't heavy on lemongrass, and overly spicy, as promised. It was full of various cuts of beef, a slice of Vietnamese pork, and a good amount of thick rice noodles. The soup is served with the same garnish as for pho soup. My 'Grilled Shrimp Vermicelli Bowl' was beautifully served. All the veggies were crispy, fresh, and the noodles were nicely warm. With the splash of fish sauce everything tasted so delicious. I asked for a side of the peanut sauce and it was even tastier (thanks Jennifer). Only the shrimp could be of better quality and really, nicely grilled. I'm glad Anchi A La Carte is available in this part of town. It's a perfect place for a good meal before or after shopping, errands etc. in the area.
