We have been here twice now - we are summer residents back to WNY after many years away. It doesn't stand out a lot so can be easy to miss. Don't miss it. We have had excellent meals here. They have the usuals and some other unusual items that sound terrific. I had the granny"meal which was delicious . One thing I noticed, the eggs were cooked perfectly. The omelet was tasty and tender. . My husband really enjoyed the steak omelet. Next time, I'm getting what the next table had - these taco shaped dough thingies with cream cheese inside and strawberries on top. Oh My. Neighbor at the table said they were amazing . My plan is to take one for the team and get them. I'm afraid I'll like them way too much. This restaurant I was very busy both times. Good sign. Campfire Grill is our number 1 Favorite Breakfast place in Western New York We arrived at about 11:00 AM Tuesday morning, and we're very pleased to be seated right away. We traveled a very far distance to enjoy Campfire Grill, and often the line for tables goes out the door. Today I ordered one of the specialty breakfasts, the Breakfast Flatbread which is two eggs, hollandaise, bacon, spinach, and Roma tomatoes over a crispy flatbread. I'm going to go out on a limb say this is now my most favorite breakfast. This dish comes with a choice of campfire potatoes or fresh fruit cup. Today I ordered the fresh fruit cup, and it was very delicious. Fresh grapes, pineapple, and melons. I would order this again. My husband ordered the cattle melt. This has to be seen to be believed. It's a mountain of a breakfast sandwich. Loaded high with sliced roast beef, two eggs, melted cheese, mushrooms, peppers and onions all stacked up on a grilled thick cut sourdough bread. It was so huge, that he had to bring half of it home in a box. He thoroughly enjoyed this melt sandwich. Finally, we also ordered the Griddle Toast Logs because, frankly this is the real reason we come to Campfire Grill. French toast slices rolled around a core of fresh, strawberries, and sweet and cream cheese, grilled crisp, and covered with more whipped cream and fresh berries. Truth be told, we could not even dive into them until we got home because we were so full with our entrées.. But they didn't last more than a few minutes after we returned home. The decor is reminiscent of our days of family camping trips, which always featured over the top breakfast, and very indulgent campfire menus. Posters on the walls included, moose, fish, bears. First time at this location. We've been to their Clarence location since its closer to our house but it's since closed. This place was hopping for 11:30 on a Tuesday. Service was quick & friendly. I appreciated being offered coffee refills before I needed ti ask. I ordered the fishermans favorite. It's an omelet loaded with crabmeat, shrimp, and spinach. It was delicious! The omelet was light and fluffy. There was plenty of filling, seafood in every bite. And the hollandaise sauce was flavorful. It included home fies and toast. Stopped for lunch. Quaint casual dining. The menu is packed with pleanty of choices, making it hard to decide what to order. They are only open until 2 pm so get their early. This location is alot smaller than their, now closed, Clarence location. I think their biggest expense is for takeout containers because their portions are huge. I ordered one of their March Specials, the Reuben Platter. It was more than enough for lunch and dinner. It had all the components of a Reuben Sandwich but deconstructed, on top of home fries and topped with fried eggs. Only thing it lacked was a little salt. Having not been here in a number of years, I was anxious to come back. The experience made me think, why did it take me so long! Arriving just after noon, we were surprised to see the place almost empty! We took a table and we were greeted and had hot coffee in a minute. The feel here is warm and welcoming. A nice menu for breakfast and lunch with lots of interesting spins on all the old favorites. I had the fishermen's omelette which was loaded with fresh crab, shrimp and spinach. The hollandaise sauce on top elevated the dish to the next level. Nicely browned home fries and rye toast completed the dish. Extra points for the rye being actually toasted and not just warm bread. My big sister had a veggie omelette which she enjoyed and her raisin toast smelled great. Plenty of parking in the big lot. I just can't wait so long in between visits! read more

Went about 10 on a Sunday, there was no wait, but the place was packed and if we would have come a few minutes later we would have had to wait. It's a cute place with a camping like feel. The person I was with ordered coffee, they said the first cup was fine, but the second didn't taste as good. It took a bit for a refill as well, but the place was packed. They ordered The Lumberjack All Day Breakfast and thought it was great and would definitely recommend. Along with a side of Chocolate Chip pancakes. There were left overs since there was so much food. I got the Crunchy Griddle Toast, it was not actually crunchy though it was good. It was very filling as I only at about one and a half of the toast. Overall, I would recommend this place as you get a lot of food for the price and it is pretty good. read more

I rarely write 1 star reviews, unless warranted, but this experience was bad enough to warrant it. The absolute worst I've ever had We ordered a simple sandwich for my son and were brought the wrong item. Instead of correcting the mistake, the owner immediately argued that we ordered it incorrectly. After going back and forth, she said she would remake it--but only if we paid for it again because otherwise "she'd lose money." As someone who has been in the restaurant industry for decades, I understand costs--but this was clearly their error. Charging a guest to fix your own mistake is unacceptable. To make matters worse, much of the food we received was already cold. When I pointed that out, she suddenly offered to remake everything, which made the earlier argument even more confusing and frustrating. The entire interaction lacked accountability and basic customer service. In over 40 years in this industry, this was one of the worst experiences I've had dealing with a restaurant owner. I actually found campfire grill through Yelp, looking for a new lunch place to bring my kid where we would both be happy. Such a great time! Good vibe, and the theme is on-point throughout the place. Server was kind to my kiddo, and did not blanch at my kid playing with the creamers, etc. Breakfast portions looked almost comically large, and I look forward to coming back to try. Their lunch food was a perfect for what we wanted: tasty comfort food. Sandwiches were fair portions, with lots of options for what to eat. Campfire Grill continues to be one of my favorite spots to grab pancakes, and over the last year, French Toast! I arrived around on Memorial Day 2025, around 8:15am, and was able to pick my own seat at the bar. I have to say, the young gentleman who was the host/cashier, was not the warmest - I know it's early and he was young, but it would have made an impact, at least to me, if he was just a little more welcoming. But he was nice enough, bringing over a menu and silverware to the spot I chose. Not long after I sat down, I had a hot cup of coffee in front of me and waited for someone to take my order. There were a couple young women working the bar and a couple working the tables out and about. The young woman who took my order was warm and courteous! I enjoy sitting at the bar because you can kind of see what's going on in the kitchen and listen to all the gossip from the staff. haha I overheard them say a new cook was working this morning so it may take a few extra moments to get food out. I didn't notice much of a delay, if anything, it was nice to read a few news articles and sip a few cups of coffee. For breakfast, I went with a new favorite: Crunchy Griddle Toast, which is their griddle (or French) toast coated with crushed vanilla almond granola. Because I have a BIG appetite, I ordered five, what they call the "Mountain" size. haha I absolutely love the combo of vanilla, cinnamon, and almond flavors. Combining crunchy granola with the warm, toasted bread and some maple syrup and butter, truly take French toast to the next level. Every piece is a wonderful cacophony of flavor and texture. I like to get five of these since I don't come too often but I find this is the right amount to fill me up for the day - I know I won't be hungry until dinner. As for the price, I was sad to see the prices go up as much as they have. I remember when I first found them back in 2017 and couldn't believe how affordable it was. I know it's not their fault though and they have to adjust - I want them to stay around for a VERY long time! Cashing out was quick and easy, going back to the host station. They have a nice table bar and a decent amount of tables. All the waitresses were very accommodating and nice. The menu is somewhat big, however they didn't have a western omelet which was disappointing. That's my go to. But you can create your own. Price is moderate and the food was good. I'd say the potatoes were the best thing I ordered. Good black coffee. I would definitely come back to try more, but I'd recommend making a reservation as this seems to be a popular place and may wait a bit for a table. read more

What a lovely little place. Busy--which usually means it must be good--and the food absolutely was. Delicious. Unfortunately, what was missing was hospitality. The staff was young, and while service was completed in a timely manner, there was no engagement at all. None. I sat near the door and watched the young man hosting. He was on his phone while actively checking people out. There was no "welcome," no "thank you," no acknowledgment of guests other than walking them to their table without saying a word! The waitress literally had zero to say other than taking my order. Nothing at all. A family visiting for a hockey tournament--about six to eight people--walked in and was told there was no room. Meanwhile, at least four tables were clearly open. As they turned to leave, the father asked if there was another place nearby. The response from the host was, "I dunno. I'm really clueless." (Exact quote.) I actually pulled the family aside and suggested Alton's down the street so they wouldn't leave town without a good meal. That moment really summed it up. With leadership and guidance from an experienced front-of-house host or manager, this place could be so much better. I couldn't get over how little the staff engaged or interacted with guests. Hospitality is about connection, not just efficiency. Out of genuine curiosity, I asked the young man if this was a family-run place. His response: "Well, not really. My friend got a job here, so I got one too." To the owner of this very cute establishment: an experienced front-end manager would completely change the dining experience--and I truly believe it would keep customers coming back. There are some mornings when I wake up that I just crave certain foods. Especially when I am tired or sick and don't want to cook or just have a huge craving for something I could never make. For this occasion, it was Campfire Grill. We live so close to Campfire but with a small toddler, sometimes it's just easier to get takeout. So we decided on that this morning and I could not be happier with breakfast. The order was ready so quick and we were able to pick up right on time. On a good day when we have nothing to do, we will definitely dine in. I love the dining room here. We ended up with the cinnamon roll pancakes and an order of the strawberry griddle logs. Both of them tasted so good and really kicked off the morning on the right note of sweetness. I love the fresh fruit on the griddle logs otherwise it might be a little too sweet some bites. We got there and two waitresses were talking amongst themselves about what I can only assume, was about my friend and I. One waitress alluded to that my friend and I should wait outside as we were just standing there as another waitress told us that our table would be ready in about 10 minutes. You need to understand that any eatery with the name "Campfire Grill" is not serving haute cuisine to its customers. In fact, as you pull off of Walden Avenue into the parking lot you will realize that this extremely popular restaurant is not focused on appearance or niceties because that is a rough parking lot to navigate. I arrived at 1030 in the morning and for groups there was a wait of 15 to 20 minutes because every table was occupied by happy breakfast consumers. Fortunately I was flying solo and there were classic spinning round top seats at the counter waiting for me to sit down within earshot of the all the kitchen chatter. Every single employee I observed appeared to be enjoying themselves even in the midst of a busy service hour. That's a good thing ... yes, I had to wait a little bit for my menu but each wait staff member was rushing around so they missed the new guy at the counter and the counter guys were passing out food from the kitchen window with remarkable speed. So, yes the Campfire Grill is EXTREMELY RUSTIC as the name hints but come on you could slap some paint on the counter and make the interior somewhat appealing for those moments when diners eyes wander around the room but that lost star does not reflect why people come to the CAMPFIRE GRILL ... they come to eat and I was there to eat so I didn't expect white glove treatment. The menu had some very interesting conceptual breakfasts that are unique to the Campfire. I skipped the "Garbage Plate" and the "Camp Platter." I always look at the omelettes but they weren't going to be my choice. I was very tempted when platters featuring pancakes appeared in the kitchen window and were carried away right in front of my very eyes. And, you could tell by the chatter everyone was happy ... I looked around (Yes, I noticed the need for new flooring and some paint.) and saw a full restaurant with extremely happy people. My coffee cup was topped off as I debated my choices. Nah ... not doing the Campefire Benny and the Lumberjack seemed like too much. And, then I focused in on the Meat Lovers Breakfast Flatbread. Sausage, bacon, and ham ... camper potatoes. And, I am very picky about breakfast sausage gravy but at a place called the Campfire how could it be anything but good. Well, the gravy was great ... the breakfast amazing ... the potatoes perfect (I added the onions) plus they put a bottle of REAL HOT SAUCE in front of me not Tabasco. This breakfast was perfectly prepared comfort food ... I slowly enjoyed each forkful and yes, the coffee kept coming and the counter guys didn't have to ask but they did and I said YES I am enjoying ... thumbs up! When restaurants serving breakfast are still crowded at 1030 on a Tuesday morning you know they are doing something right and the folks who set up the campfire in this worn down building with a parking lot needing massive improvement obviously knew what they were doing.
