Cherry Limeade with vodka was delicious!

Truly one of WNY's best kept secrets! Family owned and operated - well worth a visit to enjoy their home cooked, delicious food! They make the BEST chicken wing soup, potato pancakes, czarnina, and tender pork chops that will melt in your mouth. Drink specials for just $5! Yummy appetizers, great prices. Open for lunch and dinner Thursdays and Fridays, dinner only on Saturdays. Great service, fun atmosphere.

If you're looking for a delicious fish fry- look no further! If you go for lunch there is also a lunch portion that's perfect and you still get all the sides- coleslaw, Mac salad, potato salad and fries!! The seafood platter was an amazing option and so much food! A whole fish fry, scallops, coconut shrimp, fries, coleslaw, Mac and potato salad. The hot pepper soup was amazing and I heard the French onion was very good too! I can't say enough about this place. I highly recommend it!!

Jade's is a hidden GEM (pun intended!) Jades is a tiny cute place in Depew with the most amazing food, drinks, and service. If you've never been inside, I have to warn you that it is not clean whatsoever lol. Hopefully that won't bother you! I came for their famous fish fry and I was not disappointed. The service sizes are HUGE and I had enough for 2+ meals. My favorite feature of this dinner option is that they give you THREE choices for sides. You can have a bit of everything. They also serve the fish fry with fresh rye bread which is perfect for a Polish girl haha. The environment was not great. It is small inside, and old and dusty, and the tables are close together. For the fish fry night it was crowded but the service was quick and everyone was very nice. They were also cleaning down all of the tables. I love jades for the fish fry and I will be back for their special. They also had a polish platter of sausage and pierogi which looked great! Can't wait to go back!

    Corned Beef & cabbage

We arrived first for the St. Paddy's Day Special Corned Beef & Cabbage. Fresh cabbage, red potatoes and baby carrots cooked to perfection accompanying generous slices of corned beef. Rye bread on the side. Yum. Hubby had his favorite Beef on Weck - this one with a little added gravy for juiciness - and a very yummy potato salad. Compliments to the chef and friendly service.

We came to Jades early Friday afternoon for a fish fry. We were seated right away and given menus and bread for the table. They had a huge fish selection which I thought was awesome. We ordered drinks and our food shortly after we were seated. I liked how they had a twist on a fish fry. I got what they called a "nuggie basket" which was hand cut fries and fish nuggets. My boyfriend got the small fish fry. You also get to choose a large or small size, which again is great! My dish didn't come with sides, but I was able to try my boyfriends. They were excellent. Not drenched in mayo, and a good portion. The sides weren't taking over the plate like some places tend to do. Overall, I would rate Jades a 3. The fish was a little soggy for my liking, compared to other places. But I would come back to try other menu items for sure.

Jade's Restaurant is one of the BEST kept secrets in the Buffalo area. The fish fry is to die for. But that is not all. The menu is rather extensive and everything is SO DELICIOUS!!!! The owner Patti is the absolute sweetest person and man she can cook. Go to Jade's and you will not be disappointed.

Cajun "breaded" fish. More like just a broiled fish with seasoning but still very good (small order and tons of food)

I finally decided to try this place because everyone talks about how good the fish fry is. I am not a fan of the traditional fish fry with all the batter and grease ( sorry I swear I'm still a buffalonian) so I opted for the Cajun breaded fish but it seemed to be missing the breading...it still tasted very good so I'm only taking away 1 star for that. I ordered the small order and when I saw all the food that came with it I was shocked! 2 salads(potato and macaroni), coleslaw, and FRESH CUT fries! It was way too much to finish and had I known, I would've skipped the appetizer. The app we went with was the stuffed peppers and they were good but not my favorite and we all know how much I love my stuffed peppers to I'm picky. Now my favorite part was how friendly all of the staff was! We were seated right away, drink orders taken timely and also took the food order since we seemed to be ready judging by the closed menus and the food came out really quick for how busy they were. The prices were great given all the food you get and how the service is spot on!

Cajun fish, not sure why it was in pieces but did like that it was skinless!

The manti stood out more for its comfort than complexity, tender dumplings, yogurt, and a clean garlic-forward profile that felt authentic, even if slightly muted on spice. The ribeye steak medallions were cooked accurately and had good texture, but they were less memorable compared to the rest of the menu. In contrast, the mixed grill platter was the strongest showing of the night, offering variety and consistent execution across different meats, which is not easy to do well. Everything was flavorful without feeling overworked. The mixed meat pide was satisfying and hearty, though on the richer side. It's filling and best approached as a shared dish rather than an add-on. Turkish tea was straightforward and comforting, doing exactly what it should after a heavy meal. Overall, Sofra delivers a traditional, well-executed Turkish dinner with generous portions and a focus on consistency rather than reinvention. Best enjoyed family-style, pacing the meal thoughtfully to fully appreciate the depth of the menu without fatigue.

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

I'd start with the atmosphere and overall first impression. The interior isn't as bright and inviting as the one on Maple Road. It's still the Water Lily Cafe, just under a different banner. This place needs to be refreshed. Another downside is that the complimentary dumplings advertised on Yelp are only for those who leave a five-star review. Really?! :) In my opinion, this fact takes one star away instantly. So we already got The Bad and The Ugly ;). The Good was the most important, the food. We really enjoyed our dishes. My partner's 'Spice Lemongrass Beef Noodle Soup' was very tasty. It wasn't heavy on lemongrass, and overly spicy, as promised. It was full of various cuts of beef, a slice of Vietnamese pork, and a good amount of thick rice noodles. The soup is served with the same garnish as for pho soup. My 'Grilled Shrimp Vermicelli Bowl' was beautifully served. All the veggies were crispy, fresh, and the noodles were nicely warm. With the splash of fish sauce everything tasted so delicious. I asked for a side of the peanut sauce and it was even tastier (thanks Jennifer). Only the shrimp could be of better quality and really, nicely grilled. I'm glad Anchi A La Carte is available in this part of town. It's a perfect place for a good meal before or after shopping, errands etc. in the area.
