But not even two minutes later, some moppy-haired blond kid comes over and asks if he can clean our table. I think he means he will take the napkins and trash off the table, so we say sure. He proceeds to take my almost-full glass of water and the half-full cocktail I paid for but hadn't finished, and he leaves the trash on the table and leaves an empty glass of coke. I was flabbergasted. It felt like he was trying to shove us out the door when we hadn't even been there very long and the restaurant wasn't full. I paid for that cocktail and I didn't even get to drink it. It also dawned on me that maybe this kid was looking for something to do - I saw him earlier just leaning on the divider for the booths, staring off into space, looking bored and clearly not having anything to do. But either way, I cannot understand why he would take full glasses with beverages in them while we were still sitting there talking. It was like he was telling us it was time for us to leave. Bowling machines are often problematic and regularly need manual reset or fixing during play which is very annoying. It's great they invested in new floors last year, hope they will do the same with the machines too if that is possible. Often there's just the bartender so service can be slow if you are sitting at a table and not at the bar. You'll have to go ask for a refill of water when you need more water.
